Coin Haus La Mesa Reviews
A great selection of games and huge selection of beer, some wine options too with some mixed / celsur drinks! U have to give them a payment card up front to receive a play and drink card. I really enjoyed it!
Awesome place to play some cool retro games and have a beer, very comfortable environment and friendly people around
So fun!! Good spot to bring your friends. Fun and wide beer selection. Pizza is brought in from next door and looks tasty. Friendly staff.
Didn't eat the food so no idea but the arcade was cool and the drinks you pay for by the oz. Interesting concept.
The customer service was amazing here. The employees were very friendly. It's great if you want to go beer and cider tasting.
We wandered into Coin Haus during the Oktoberfest and were thrilled we did so. It has a great business model where you fill your own cups. Since I really enjoy the variety of different drinks this was exactly what I wanted but didn’t know existed. I spent probably 30 minutes working my way around the different beverages. Plus there are super fun arcade games on the perimeter that use the same payment system, so it’s a one stop shop. Big fan and I can’t wait to come back in a bit to try their new seasonal flavors.
It was my first time visiting Coin Haus, and I had an amazing time. The atmosphere was fun and full of good vibes. Jose, one of the staff members, was fantastic—he took the time to explain how everything worked and was super friendly throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great time with a welcoming atmosphere!
Such a fun and unique spot! They have beer on tap where you can pour your own drinks, which makes the whole experience feel interactive and laid-back. You can sample as much or as little as you want, which is perfect for trying different flavors without committing to a full pint right away. The staff were amazing — super fun, friendly, and really attentive the entire time. We ordered the wings and they did not disappoint — crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. We also got the pizza, and it was huge! Not just big, but genuinely delicious and made with great-quality ingredients. On top of all that, we had an absolute blast playing the arcade games — such a nostalgic, playful touch that kept us entertained all night. Overall, this place is a great combo of good vibes, great food, cold beer, and fun. Highly recommend checking it out!
We went in on a Saturday afternoon and wasn't very busy but we got a table and bought a few game cards. Which also yet you drinks. I really love how the center piece is the drink station. It's all self serve beer and wine. Which I thought was very cool. It's not a huge place and they don't serve food but they hook up with the pizza place next door.
Awesome hangout spot with self serve beer taps, super friendly staff, and a good selection arcade games. Prices were very reasonable. Definitely try it out if you haven't yet!
We stopped in after an urban hike around La Mesa. Kevin was wonderful- he asked us what we liked and recommended several options. He encouraged me to try a stout, something I would never order, but I loved it. So thankful for his beer knowledge and the ability to try things at my leisure. We played some games and then went to Surfrider. They do serve some variety of Surfrider Pizza here, but we really wanted a calzone, so had to get it from the source.
This is such a fun and great concept. Get your card and choose your own destiny. Big wall of beers to try and arcade games. You can try any beer you want, paying by the OZ so you're not stuck just drinking one or two, you can try different ones. Spent a couple hours here playing the greatest of the 90's games. They also have a snack bar and a few food selections, didn't try it but it'd be more your basic items, chips, pretzels, sandwiches. Fun spot to hang out for date night or with friends.
Really fun casual atmosphere with great video games make sure to come during happy hour cuz they're free. The only bummer is they don't have a great variety of food choices. Everything else is great.
Amazing playground with a variety of choices of brew beers ! You cAn chill with friends in the late afternoon until tipsy at the night
Fun place for a date night, but there were not as many games as I hoped to fill a few hours. Really nice open feeling near the tables with the large roll up window and good variety or beer, wine and premixed cocktails on tap. Love that you have a card on file to be able to pour small 2-3 oz testers of lots of drinks. Food was from surf rider pizza across the way and was amazing!
Coin Haus has a really neat system: receive a wristband that serves as your ticket to games and alcohol. It is a self serve system where they charge you by the ounce, so you can try a multitude of the 40+ beers on tap. They had a great selection of arcade games. My favorite was the 4-person Pac-Man setup. They also had a wide range of beers; unfortunately I didn't find many I liked despite the variety. This is probably just my personal preferences though. Overall I recommend it for the fun atmosphere and convenient wristband system.
