Wienerschnitzel La Mesa Reviews
Sally is very good. Excellent service. Will definitely recommend Sally for next service.
I stopped to get some Root beer floats to take home. I went through the drive through. Small parking lot but the service fast and employees are very friendly.
Employees here work so well together! They are always very friendly and polite. Never have had an issue getting my order correctly. I don’t even check my bag anymore because I know they got it. Food is delicious. My go to is chili cheese fries and a ketchup hotdog on a pretzel bun.
Came in on a beautiful Saturday into La Mesa’s finest… holy Wienerschnitzel… Enjoyed some chili dogs with my compadres during the peak hours of the early evening. Thanks to Edwin and Manny, our experience ran smoothly, despite the consistent 5 cars waiting in the drive-thru throughout our stay. Their experience is shown by their service and their joy; those guys truly run a stellar shift. thanks y’all.
I will say, wienerschnitzel is not the best most amazing food on the planet, but you really know what you are going to get when you get there. I was VERY hungry and maybe that made everything taste better, but all my food great. The hot dogs, the fries, the jalapeno poppers, everything was cheesy and saucy and delicious. Don't skip out on the dipped ice cream when you pass by, it is just such a nice treat.
Stopped in for lunch. Service was great! Everything tasted just like I remembered & I felt 16 again. My order was filled fast & was nice n hot. Some places lately can't seem to keep the fries warm. I recommend this Wienerschnitzel location.
I usually come later in the evening. The workers who work at that time are pretty good about a speedy service. Food is always hot ... fries could be cooked fresher.
I stopped in for a quick snack using coupons. The server was very courteous. The soft serve ice cream cone was cold and a good portion. The corn dog with mustard packets seemed small but was hot and delicious.
Fries seemed extremely old & chili ch burger had little chili & the peanut butter cup freeze was all vanilla with very little to no peanut butter cups besides the little they sprinkled on top. Young kids working at that time obviously not caring. My way of thought when I worked any where especially a food place is you serve food the way you'd serve to yourself & family.
All other stores do the 4 for $4 (chili dogs) on Wienerschnitzel Wednesdays. This one DOES NOT! They offered 5 for $8, and you can mix & match with corn dogs.
Went there in a weekday around 1pm. I like the old style of the building, but it doesn’t really work out for this location. The drive thru is short, so a few cars can block the parking lot entrance. I think they were minimally staffed, and with a lot of people also walking up to the window, getting through the drive thru line took a long time. Still the same good food, friendly service, but I would recommend going to a different location or expecting a longer than normal wait if it’s during busy hours.
Im telling you i haven't had a Corndog in years!! I pulled up to the nostalgic drive-thru because... well lets just be honest, i had the munchies. I said to myself " i aint had a corndog in years." They have a great deal going on. 3 for $5, Mix and match corndogs, and chilli dogs. Swweeeeet! I got 2 corndogs, and 1 chilli dog. I was remembering the sweet flavor of the corndog outer, and the softness of the bun from the hot dog that takes the shape of the hot dog. Welp, it was nothing like I remembered. Food just tastes weird. Like I'm all for the mystery meat in a hot dog. You kind of already know that's what it's going to be, but it tastes good. Not these hot dogs. They taste really not hot doggy, and when you bite it and look at the hot dog it looks like rolled up meat...or some type of meat wannabe. I don't know what you did, but that's a big hell no from me.
Usually this place is amazing! But apparently my boyfriend said they had a line today. Well, I’m literally vomiting and my boyfriend has terrible diarrhea and it happened less than 5 minutes after finishing the food. It’s definitely food poisoning! I’m pregnant and this is usually a craving of mine and it never has done this before. Always this location but I think the combo of new employees and rush hour made them completely mess up the food. I’ve had food poisoning before so this definitely sucks. The meat was like crunchy and weird. I’m going to have to file a complaint with the health board /: Also, a second complaint. A few of my friends worked here before. They worked about a week before the manager told them “Okay we are going to test out another hire and let you know which one of you we are keeping.” The manager never told them this when he hired them and made them feel like they had job security. Happened to about 5 of my friends. Ask the current employees, they’ll tell you this happens. This just made my do not come to list after all.
When i was looking in side i saw one of the work washing dishes, but he was using his hands. Instead of a RAG and did not put dishes in sanitizer before putting them away. That is a concern for me.
Took my card and had it for over 5 mins Hispanic dude with glasses walked out and said “here” didn’t even receive all my food. Words of advice if you hate your job just quit because the customer service was disgusting.
Upon placing my order i asked for fresh fries and was assured they were going to give me fresh ones, the person preparing and packaging the food attempted to put the old fries in my order. I had the need to ask her to give me fresh fries, she did with a bad attitude. Upon arriving home the corndogs i purchased were hard, dry and super greasy, the chili on the chili fries was dried, the hotdog buns were hard. Do not spend your hard earned money at this particular wienerschnitzel location. The food I purchased went straight to the trash and i was out $33.00 and some change. I guess the pay increase did not pursued the employee to provide GOOD customer service. What a shame
