Le petit Skieur La Thuile Reviews
One of our favorite spots to stop at while skiing. Great pizza and pasta dishes. Will keep your warm and fed during a hard day on the slopes.
Great service - the staff were all friendly and efficient despite being really busy. Great value pizza and delicious hot chocolate too.
Lovely place to watch people coming down the slopes and to catch the last of the sun. The waiters were really friendly and kind too! Update Feb 2025. We again had a lovely visit, and the burgers are amazing! I really recommend this place when you're down the mountain ☺️
Best bar we found for Apres Ski, great atmosphere, good beer and staff were fantastic, so helpful and friendly. Food looked good but haven't tried it, came back 3 afternoons on the trot, huge windows look out on a very severe black run which you can't help watching whilst you are having a beer!
Amazing pizzas - we had two pizzas, the pistachio one (very rich!) and the Speck E Zola. Seriously delicious, great size and such friendly service without pressure to tip Will be coming back every night most likely :)
Cool bar near the bottom of the slopes. Really nice place with helpful staff. They sell t-shirts and hoodies with their logo and name on which are pretty cool. I had a hot wine there and it was a tasty one. Great end to the day.
I cannot over emphasize the level of service and amicability in this restaurant. Whether you’re here for a quick stop or a full meal, alone or with your family and friends, the staff is incredibly accommodating and the view is really cool because you are looking out over the last large slope of a run. The food is yummy, I would pick the pasta over the pizza and the hamburger, but they are all delicious. They also accept dogs and treated our little guy extremely lovingly, thank you so much Le Petit Skieur!
Fantastic Restaurant and gastro pub in La Thuile, super close to the ski slopes. Excellent Food, lovely atmosphere, incredible service, a brilliant mix of tradition, innovation, and love for quality food. We tried the black Pizza, which is amazing and the best Tiramisu in town. A splash into the infinity of taste! To try and fall in love with! I can only rate 5 stars!
Initially didn't know if I wanted to eat bread from the car or pizza, but eventually the waiter convinced us to eat at their restaurant by prepping the table. What a cool tactic, when someone is indecisive just take a decision for them by acting as if they chose. The pizza's were prety good, would rank them both 4 stars, but they were burned on many places so I give 3/5 stars. The service however was excellent. We recieved a free can of water because we didn't want to order anything to drink. After that we ordered the second pizza and 2 cioccolati con panna. I loved the weird shape of the teaspoon, Made it easier to eat the cream. Tha's how all businesses should be; If you can take care of a customer for free (it doesn't cost you anything) then do it. Then the customer should repay you for your free effort. This was an amazing experience
Surrounded by green fields during summertime and next to the ski tracks in wintertime, this nice place managed by a young and professional staff gives you the chance to enjoy an aperitif, dinner or lunch. Cocktails are well prepared, food is tasty and made using high quality ingredients. Personally I love their pizza (also available with "black dough") and their "Agnolotti". Prices are fair and the location is perfect. P.S.: If you want to reach the place by car I suggest to park a bit far away reaching the place by walk, the road next to the restaurant is narrow and not asphalted (if you don't have an SUV you may risk to damage your car). Absolutely recommended.
Food: perfect! Service: they have room for improvement... I would say this is the best food in the area! They offer pizza, pasta, burgers, and more. The Bolognese was great with perfectly cooked pasta. Unlike most restaurants in the area the portions are actually big, great when you're hungry during a day of skiing. They also serve a lovely (and viscous) Italian hot chocolate :) What makes this place perfect is that it's not expensive at all, a lunch here was actually cheaper than most other lunches in the ski area. However they lose that fifth star because the staff were quite stressful and did too many bookings. Just as we had finished our food they told us we had to leave - and wait 5-10 minutes before we could pay at the bar.
Lovely atmosphere, excellent pizza, great beer choice and the best onion soup I've ever had. Go you will love it - just hope you can get a table? So maybe book?
Superb location. Accessible by ski and by foot. We visited on two occasions by foot as a family of 6 from Ireland (2 children) a pleasant walk up out of town. Mid afternoon stop was unplanned, a sho…
Great popular spot on the slopes, if you want to eat inside best to book, good service, food and ambience. Ribs were good and recomended
you can not miss it! delicious food, cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, lovely location. if you come to La Thuile don't miss a stop here.
Not only is this a lovely place from the outside, but the inside is fabulous too. You are guaranteed a warm and friendly welcome by attentive staff be that at the bar or table service - nothing was…
Excellent surroundings. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They only open on an evening for dinner on a Friday and Saturday nights so we booked for Friday. We enjoyed the food so much we man…
Stopped here at end of black run no.2. Place wasn't too busy, mostly non-English skiers, which was nice as if gave it a 'locals' feel. Burgers were generous size and meat was moist and cooked on-point. If you sit outside then order at counter inside. Seemed to be willing to please. Hot chocolate very good i.e. melted chocolate, nice and thick. Will definitely be coming back before our Ski week is over.
It was my first restaurant meal reject in Italy in the lifetime. wannabe local Pasta con ragu was so awful that I was unable to aet more than 2 bites. I love Italy and it’s cuisine with experience from many corners, regions and typical specialities. never expected in Italy but this experience was awful.
