Banh Mi Cali Ladera Ranch Reviews
1st timer!! This place is small but the food sandwich was very good n it came out fast n fresh n warm!! The lady took my order n was very nice n polite!!! Only on table, but they do have high chairs to sit by the wall!!! The atmosphere was very good, there was no music playing at all!! They have restroom in the back.( only for customers). I do recommended this place!! The lady's that work here are very nice n kind!! The price was very reasonable!! Make sure you tip the lady's for the hard work!! It does get packed inside but they do move fast too!!!
Great little hole in the wal, dive placel. Parking lot and outside needs help, but the food was delicious! Nobody spoke English, which tells me it's legit. Another customer who spoke English was there and she helped me, but there are pictures of the food you can point to. I love a good Ba mi and it was flavorful and delicious.
Absolutely amazing flavors in their Banh Mi Dac Biet! I spent an entire week eating highly rated Banh Mi's in the Orlando area and this one did not disappoint!! The highlights here are the overall flavor of their ingredients: the pate, butter, meats, pickled veggies, and fresh veggies. The filling of their Banh Mi DB comprised of all of these ingredients which were all so so so so flavorful on their own, and when eaten together they all balanced and meshed so well. Talk about "layers" of flavor.. there was a different element shining on to my taste buds with every second of chewing and I couldn't stop taking another bite. Veryyy high remarks from me. Due to the fact that I am comparing banh mi's in the area, I rate this one a 9.5/10. The bread, while still delicious (so don't get me wrong), was too crispy on the exterior of the loaf in comparison to others. The over-crispness paired with the amount of filling caused the loaf to crumble mid meal and the fillings began seeping out. Again, the composition and structure of the loaf was still of high quality, but for the sake of a well rounded review, this is where their sandwich fell short *for me*. The storefront does not seem like much, but I promise you these sandwiches don't disappoint. The service was direct and quick. I did not wait long at all, in and out within 3 minutes. I highly recommend this spot with confidence.
Simple selections done amazingly right! Highly recommend if you're ever in the area! Super friendly staff as well!
Legit Banh Mi like you would get in Vietnam. Bread was super light and crispy and the meat and vegetables were super fresh and tasty.
We loved it!!! It was my first time trying banh mi sandwiches! And omg it’s amazing! My husband had the meatballs sandwich with veggies aside and i had special combo with veggies inside. Fresh , meaty and huge! The price is around 8-9 $! Defined will be back! Oh and iced coffee is top notch!🤩 We were so excited to forget to take pictures before:D
probably the best banh mi place in the area. very authentic and i believe it’s family owned. prices are very reasonable (i paid about $8 for the nicer banh mi, which is definitely worth getting) and the ingredients are fresh. but be warned, that combo banh mi is a bit spicy and it’ll creep up on you. i also got the artichoke iced tea (about $6) which was very refreshing, i highly recommend it especially if you like not too sweet boba. they also have fun little baked bread arranged to look like animals on display, which was a nice touch.
I had the #6 Banh mi and it was really good. The meat and veggies taste fresh and the cripsy bread is satisfying to bite into. The service was quite fast. There was a slight language barrier with the cashier person, but pointing at the banh mi pictures on the wall solved that issue.
Simply the best, and authentic bánh mì outside of Vietnam. I always stop by and get 20 or more (keep pickles and vegetables separately)when I visiting the city .
The best banh mi I ever had. Get the chicken or the pork! I think I will be coming back soon to try the rest! :)
Great sandwiches, nice folks.
Little hole in the wall place. One of the best Banh Mis I’ve had outside of Vietnam.
Staff and service was amazing. Food was prepared fast and fresh. Delicious and authentic flavors. Best banh mi in the area.
Delicious sandwiches. Ingredients are always fresh and the baguettes are so good that I always take a couple of them home to enjoy.
Great sandwich here. I’m new to banh mi sandwiches l. Love the sandwiches.
Delicious sandwiches, the best in town, never get disappointed, every time we come to Orlando, we always stop by and a few sandwiches.
This is the best Bahn mi and Bao I have ever eaten! The ingredients are fresh and sooo delicious!!! We will be back!
Love their Vietnamese coffee. Their baguette bread are always fresh and delicious. banh mi is fresh and delicious. (I order a #5 with extra veggie inside. They will usually ask if you want your veggies inside or on the side. I can appreciate the offer)
Picked up some banh mi to go and baos and it’s pretty good.
Purchased the #6 grilled pork banh mi today. You can tell the baguettes for sandwiches are fresh baked in house and all the toppings were fresh. I was surprised how inexpensive the food is. I’ll be back for more :)
Best Bánh Mi in Orlando! Really flavorful and they have everything served to you really fast. Definitely a must go if your looking for a quick lunch or dinner
We discovered this terrific place while at a local market with our Vietnamese daughter-in-law. We ordered five sandwiches and they were absolutely fresh and delicious, we will return very soon! The artichoke tea was also very good.
You must try Banh Mi Dac Biet. Delicious!!!
Best Bahn Mi sandwich in Orlando. The #5 combination is outstanding, fresh, tasty and large. I drive 50 minutes to eat here. Simply delicious
The place itself is plain and not much to look at, and no one speaks English so it was a bit difficult to communicate, but the food speaks for itself. The bahn mi we got was incredible and the Bao was also amazing. The bread is fresh, the veggies are fresh, the meat is fresh. Highly recommended
Who doesn't love carbs or bánh mì?! Out of all the locations in this city for this short baguette with thin, crisp crust and soft, airy texture inside with savory ingredients, this is my family's go to spot. Bread is fresh and tasty. We always order the bánh mì đặc biệt or in other words, the combination. Love how they make their own bread. They have a special if you buy ten, you get one free.
Their Baguettes (Bánh Mì) was seriously good. I was passing by this store with my family and am decided to get some for our afternoon meals. It was the right decision. The second time we returned they closed since they are out of baguettes.
The food is delicious. I'll definitely be back.
One of the best banh mies I’ve ever had. It was sandwich perfection!
This is our "Go To Spot" when we go to Orlando for a family vacation. They bake their own bread and they load up the banh mi sandwiches. So fresh and tasty, totally worth the price!
Just a perfect balance of the crunch, the soft inside and the taste. What I expect from a VNmese banh mi. Other places do not measure up to the taste from this place. Very courteous customer service as well. Keep up the good work. Ease do not change the quality of your products.
These bahn mi's are AMAZING. The bread tastes fresh baked and the grilled pork is so flavorful and tender.
Great Banh Mi spot. Their bread that they make is my favorite out of all the spots I have tried in Orlando. Perfect amount of crisp and chew.
Cost as much as a fast food meal but it's real food. Chicken and special combo are my favorite. Bread is made fresh
Certainly the best bahn mi in the area, I think I've timed the in-and-out trip at a 3min max, and that's with people in line! Y'all are doing it right, mad props. Roast pork, vegetables inside all day!
Wry good bahn mi and the cio pao is also fantastic. I always get the special bahn mi and a large iced coffee. They also sell the baguettes by themselves
Outstanding. Soft and crusty baguette, not overly bready. Fresh ingredients. I could sit here and eat 3 of threes. There is a grilled chicken option
Banh Mi was delicious! A ton of meat. The flavors were vibrant and made me eat another. 😋 Come hungry.
Try any of their Banh Mi Sandwiches (because they are ALL delicious) and order a loaf of their fresh, perfectly cook, bread to go. You won’t regret it… and the price can’t be beat!
I have been coming here for a long time and their banh mis consistently stay the best!!! They make their baguettes fresh in-house and everything tastes perfect
Best BANH MI and great services!
This was my first time trying Hong Tra Tac (kumquat black tea), and I was so impressed! It’s nothing like the kumquats you usually find in the U.S. – this one had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, with a fresh citrus aroma that paired beautifully with the smooth, fragrant black tea. This drink is super popular in Vietnam, but it’s really hard to find the same kind of kumquat here. I’m so glad Banh Mi Cali offers it I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend trying this one if you want something refreshing, unique, and truly authentic!
Omg!! That was legit a great Banj mi!! The baguette was just perfect. If you're in search for an authentic bang mi, you need not look further. This place is it!! The bread is so good, wish I could pick one up everyday. The sesame donut is tasty too. Will definitely be back to try everything else.
We tried to find a good Vietnamese sandwich stores around Orland area and this was one of our choice. We ordered Banh Mi Thit Nguoi and Banh Mi Dac Biet there. The sandwiches were tasty and crispy. They were literally two different kinds of sandwiches, but we could not tell they had different flavors except Banh Mi Dac Biet got more meat and ham. It’s worth to try!
I love this little bakery and Bánh mi shop! I go here numerous times a month for a sandwich. Very fast and efficient. Pricing is good and the sandwich is made fresh to order with the freshest French bread! Soook tasty. Have to try it out if you never have.
I believe this is the best Banh Mi store in Orlando. My favorite banh mi is Grilled Pork #6 eating with their homemade Artichoke drink, very refreshing and delicious. Their price can be a little pricey compared to other banh mi store, but you will find it’s worth your penny. Love this place and definitely will come back many more times.
Great Banh Mi. Very good bread, lots of meat. Highly recommend giving this place a try. Service was prompt and the sandwich only took them 2-3 min to make!
Awesome food. I told the gentleman behind the counter to have the lady that was making the food, pick her favorite banh mi and surprise me. She gave me an amazing meal. 10/10. Also got a donut and a milk tea. Everything was fantastic. Found a new favorite spot for me!
VERY fresh and delicious banh mi's, I especially love the grilled pork. We also love the fresh baguettes and I tried the coconut jelly and it was so refreshing and delicious. They are also friendly and fast! Can't wait to try more items. So far, so good.
Really good sandwiches, woth correct crisp, thin buns! 😍
All time favorite banh mi spot on the east coast. I’m visiting from NYC. I love these sandwiches. They’re generous with the portions. The bread is made fresh. They sell everything so you can make your own sandwich too.
Sandwiches are the bomb!! Highly recommended the number 6. Menu is limited but way better then any sandwich shop in orlando. In house bakery.
Soo good, baguette was super fresh, pork was incredible, and the veggies were perfectly pickled. My new go-to báhn-mi, by far the best I've had in Orlando.
I always get the combo! Bread is perfectly crispy and the meat is nicely seasoned with the sauce and cilantro, pickles and peppers add a exquisite flavor to the whole banh mi. I never take out anything because it's just right.
The Bahn Mi #5 combo is the bee’s knees. Highly recommend. I came in 5 minutes before closing… The ladies behind the counter were polite, appreciative, and efficient. I would give them 6 stars if possible. Bread is not too hard that your mouth gets all cut up, but not too soft to not be a bahn mi. After ordering and devour one, I bought 4 more the weekend. Go get you one!
Really loved my banh mi and Viet iced coffee. Bread was so fresh and crispy, and the iced coffee was the closest to what I’ve had in Vietnam for a while. So I had to buy 13! 🙈🧋
If you've never heard of Banh Mi, it's an amazing sandwich that's made with fresh French bread and packed with meat and fresh veggies. this place has AMAZING Banh Mi, fresh breads, Vietnamese donuts (so soft and fluffy!!!!), and amazing coffee. I love stopping here for lunch because they are always so fast too. I always get the number 5 and a large coffee, and a few donuts if they still have them. they make everything fresh and when it's gone for the day, it's gone. if you're ever near this place and need a quick bite that hits the spot, give this place a try.
I tried several banh mi from different places and this is the one I keep going back! Their bread is crispy out and soft and warm inside! Sooo good! I always get their combination banh mi i believe its #5? Also something about their Pate, so good so smooth… I recently noticed their price went up again. But anyway if out of all the banh mi shops in Orlando I have to choose, this is the one!
Order, leave. Best Bahn Mi voted in Orlando. Fresh ingredients, all homemade and authentic. They have other drinks, honey butter and wonderful bbq pork, bbq chicken. Sometimes I go just for the bread as it’s that good !! If you don’t like hot spice , say no Jalapeños. There is one plastic table and a small bar w/stools.
Wow, genuinely good banh mi in Orlando! I just spent a month in Vietnam, my parents are from Vietnam, and I'm visiting from Houston (Vietnamese immigrant mecca) ...and I would gladly eat the special/đặc biệt combo again. You can get the fresh and pickled veggies packed separately (which were very fresh and cut with perfect thickness btw). The pate, mayo spread, and cold cuts just have that "Vietnamese" taste...mmmm ngon nhe !
The bread is so good, and you can get a whole baguette for $3! It was still warm in th bag. Awesome banh mi and fast service
Not really a sit down place (there are a few seats but not made for groups), but amazing food!!!!! Some of the best food, with amazing drinks. Try the strawberry tea and the coffee!!
Banh mi is good but it was cold when eating. Amazing banh thieu. Ate so much of it
The special combination banh mi would have been nearly perfect, but it was marred by one of the sliced porks being so tough and chewy that I couldn’t even eat it. Everything else, from the bread to the mayo to the pate was fantastic!
Coming from NYC. Not to many places in Davenport to get good Vietnamese food. So when in area. One of my go to places. This and the Vietnamese market in same shopping center. Banh mi is good. Only place where I can find traditional style. Plus they sell fresh made cha lua (Vietnamese pork roll). No place around sell that’s and the baguette appears made in house and it’s really really good. This place saves me a trip to Tampa to get a good banh mi. Also. Next door you can get a good ice Vietnamese coffee. Place is nothing fancy. Just encounter if you like to eat there. Only reason why I gave a 4 star overall.
Very delicious! Everything we had was excellent. Not a very big spot , but it makes up for it in taste . Had a grilled pork bánh mi and a bao and both are very tasty
Fast pace mom & pop Vietnamese Sandwich Shop / Bakery. Love the French Bread Baguettes and Sandwiches with the pickled veggies.
Kinda a hole in the wall place and definitely a family run business. But the products are good and worth it . I was skeptical at first and bought about 5 items . Half way back to my hotel I decided to go back for more steamed buns ; a lot of Asian markets sell them for 5$/6$ and they usually disappoint. Then one here are really fresh and have more filling then bun . Large softball size perfect ratio of meat to bun ratio.
We got the grilled chicken banh mi, grilled pork banh mi and bánh tiêu. Banh mi at $7.95 each, it’s bit pricey for banh mi. Bánh mì was fresh and crunchy. Grilled chicken tasted good and did not have chicken smell.
I was pleasantly surprised at the Bahn Mi (Vietnamese sub). I honestly expected the bread to be a drier/harder (outside) French baguette style, but it was actually the softer style used in good bahn mi. Mostly a take out joint, so not much "vibe", but that didn't bother us much (we were taking it to go). Expect some language issues, but they were nice and the food was good.
We came in half an hour before they closed and the two ladies gave us the look that only our Asian mothers can give us.... disappointment. Well at least mine. I ordered 2 special combination banh mi and my friend ordered roast pork. Grandma made the 4 banh mi quick and efficient... cuz they were ready for bed. It was so good and satisfying. We saved one each in the fridge to bring to Universal park the next day and it was still on point. It's a bit pricey, $10 but it's filling and good quality. I miss the $5 old days!! Def recommend!
Although this restaurant does not look great inside you have to try the Banh Mi we had the chicken and pork and both delicious fresh, and right amount of heat and on fresh bakery made baguette delicious. We also brought the pate which is also so good and tasty . I would recommend this place . We want to go back for more. If you like Bang Mi go .
Go early before they run out!! Not that it is great food, but they don't really prep and run out some dishes rather quickly.
The banh mi here is just alright for the price. Definitely can't be compared to Atlanta or Little Saigon in California and for sure not in Vietnam. The prices for banh mi are high, so they should at least have decent service. There's this long hair kid with glasses that's very rude. He acted like I needed his banh mi (you know there are plenty of banh mi places on this street alone, right?). They incorrectly entered my order for a more expensive banh mi and when I told him he reluctantly fixed it and walked away--didn't even bother to say thank you or sorry. I understand you can't expect good service from some places like this, but this is just straight up cocky and disrespectful. I'll take my money elsewhere.
I ordered the sandwich pork the most expensive which is $7.25 as opposed to $7. It was okay little too much sauce. I have had much better before for the same price and the others that I've had the meat was actually hot. I would have given higher review but when asking for a cup of water he refused to give me a cup telling me he was out of them even though he has many cups to serve drinks if you want to pay he wanted to just sell me a bottle of water which is obviously not very green for the environment. So I grabbed my own cup of water out of my car. The customer service was pleasant but obviously they only care about selling and they don't care if the customer is happy.
the bread : phenomenal the grilled chicken and pork: average good veggie: good but too little and not spread out evenly seating area: poor very poor, small area with bunch of business brochures price: just increased again while inflation has been steady for months slow service
I frequent this banh mi place a lot and I do like them. The reason I’m writing a review is the lady who stands at the register in the front wears gloves, count and touches money when the gentleman in front of me paid cash. She then proceeds to grab bread, and pickle vegetables with the same gloved hands without changing gloves or acknowledging that she had recently handle cash. Not sure if she is the owner or some one who is an employee but this needs to be addressed for food safety for future customers.
The food was good, but the experience was let down by poor customer service. The staff member at the till was more focused on playing a game on his phone than helping customers. Even after I placed my order, I had to wait for him to finish his game before he processed my payment. It left a really unprofessional impression. Also how come this banh mi does not contain pickled carrots???
It is Overpriced. It used to be buy 5 get 1 free now buy 10 get 1. The bread was given wrong as order.
I bought banh mi and bánh bao there on Monday to eat in the car. The bánh mi had no taste, no soy sauce or sriracha sauce added to the sandwich although I asked for it and the dough of the bánh bao is hard like the rock!
Poorly managed restaurant. The environment feels disorganized, and you can tell from the way things run that the staff isn't treated well. On top of that, some of the vegetables served didn’t look fresh at all wilted and dull in color. Definitely not the quality I expected.
Absolutely disgusting customer service by the guy working the front counter!!! My family and I were on vacation and we decided to stop by this little spot to check it out and support a small business. As soon as we (my mother and I) walked in through the door we were greeted by this foul smell. We didn’t think much of it and maybe thought they didn’t know of it. The cashier was a young looking guy, but the attitude he has was absolutely terrible! He was munching on a piece of bread with this canned liquid in his mouth while taking our order!!! Absolutely disgusting!!! We could swear there was food crumbs coming out of his mouth as he was taking our order. We ordered this small latte, but it wasn’t even filled all the way to the top and it was way overpriced for what it was. Such a terrible bakery. You guys should be ashamed.
Great food but the staff is very rude specially the ladies in the back. You can clearly see they are talking bad about the costumers just by the way that the people that speak Vietnamese react and look at you.
Good food but the service is horrible. They don’t say hi they don’t say thank you all they want to take your money.
It’s crazy how much the price increase it’s $10 now for a sandwich and they put less in there. This is the last time I come here
Disappointing and Overpriced I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. Despite the expensive price tag, their banh mi was a letdown. The ingredients were of very poor quality—the meat was excessively fatty, the bread and fillings carried an unpleasant refrigerator smell, and nothing tasted fresh. I even gave it a second chance by reheating leftovers the next day, but it tasted just as bad as when it was freshly made. Save your money and look elsewhere for authentic, quality banh mi. This place is not worth it.
I bought a pork roll (pink tie) on Friday 1/30/26 at the location Accross from Enson supermarket. what a terrible taste that was. It tastes like a roll of flour, no spices of the “cha” that it should be. The worse I had in my life. You better buy a frozen one in the supermarket instead of the “fresh” one here. The cook who makes these pork rolls should resign/retire….please! Can I bring it back for a refund? I like the hot bread though. I will NEVER buy the pork roll from Banh mi CALI again.
