Food was excellent, everything tasted fresh and was made to order, no hot lamps or warming tables to he seen. Staff was friendly, although they could probably use one more person to assist; the two we saw were hustling everywhere between serving, bussing and running the cash register. Interior was clean and bright, and the place was packed. We tried several dishes and all hit the spot: braised pork noodle soup, beef pancake, assorted pan fried buns, cup of mini pan fried buns w/ Jasmine soy milk, cucumber app, spicy cabbage app, and dessert - crispy custard cake, chocolate fried bun, orange sorbet. Nothing disappointed. This is definitely a place to come back to.
Everything is good here. High quality food. The owners are super friendly. The restaurant is very clean overall (bathroom can be improved). The decoration is also very good, better than most Chinese restaurants
Little Pan – Santa Ana If juicy buns are your love language, Little Pan speaks it fluently. I popped in for the House Special Pan-Fried Pork Buns and left with a full belly and a new obsession. Crispy bottoms, savory fillings, and that perfect steam-kissed chew—chef’s kiss. The beef rolls were another standout: flaky, flavorful, and ideal for sharing (or not). Service was warm and attentive, even during the lunch rush, and the open kitchen adds a fun behind-the-scenes vibe. Parking’s a bit tight, but the food makes it worth the squeeze. Pro tip: grab a Thai tea to cool the spice and round out the meal. 🧡 Family-owned charm meets modern Shanghai comfort food. I’ll be back for the dumplings and maybe a second round of buns.
First time here and my favorite was the beef mini pan-fried buns in chili sauce. The Thai tea was amazing, it was not too sweet like I thought it would be. When you dine in you order yourself through the qr code, and the food is brought out to you.
The food was great! The signature Shengjian was crispy outside, juicy inside—like, seriously juicy. Lol, I kinda regret not trying the spicy mini Shengjian with Soy Sauce combo… next time maybe?
Extremely delicious food was super easy to order at our own pace and the people were very kind :)
Nice for a casual and light meal. I like how the atmosphere is modern. You can order at the counter or through a tablet. The food was good.
okay guys…I’ve been craving these pan-fried buns for two days — finally Friday, so I came straight here for a feast. I even ordered the hot and sour noodles. The quality here is always on point. The juicy burst from the bun is so flavorful, and the noodles have just the right kick. Best part? The waitress was super sweet. Can’t wait to come back!
This is a nice, casual place. We came on Sunday for brunch. Staff was friendly. The food was tasty and the restaurant has a peaceful, unpretentious atmosphere.
Tasty! Just $1 for a big cup of beer! Unlimited beer for you! So many kind of food options. Noodles, fry rice, meet, hot pot, and buns. Diversity customer, If you like spicy, this place suit for you.
Little Pan is a little gem! The pan fried buns are fun and festive, the dan dan noodles and sweet, spicy cucumbers are bursting with flavor. Look out for their promotions (including $1 Sapporo!. Will definitely be back.
Awesome little bun place, came here based on a recommendation from a friend while on a work trip. Thai tea was great, food smelled and tasted amazing as well! Will definitely come back on a future trips.
Cutest little food! And delicious! I tried the beef pancake for lunch on Tuesday. Wasn't busy when I went in around 1:30pm, I must have gone after the lunch rush. Green onion pancake was soft and flavorful. The beef was juicy and definitely high quality. They added cilantro and hoisin sauce for just the right balance of flavors. Nice big portion, Good value for the price. Staff was friendly. Clean all around and they were quick to clean up tables once patrons left. Sign up for their rewards to earn rewards towards free food!! I'll be back to try the cup of mini Angus beef 😋
Great service. Tasty food! (Pic says it all!). There are several Asian food establishments in this complex. This interested me the most and I was not disappointed! Their signature pan-fried buns were delicious!
We ordered the pork pan fried buns, beef mini fried buns and the sweet and sour cucumbers. We loved everything! It was super fresh and full of flavor. Absolutely delicious
It's a hidden gem in Santa Ana! Pan fried buns is good, very crispy outside and juicy inside, generous pork filings. Everything was served quickly. The special combo is available Monday to Friday. Will be back on a weekday.

What a gem!! These bun babies are so delicious. I should’ve taken a picture of the inside but I ate the whole thing too fast. Crispy texture on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. I can’t wait to try the other kinds!! The beef roll is also so so good, such a perfect handheld snack. Will definitely be coming back for more!!! 😋😋😋
The food here was so delicious! the soup dumplings were so juicy and good! my kids absolutely loved it! the service was also really fast and we got our food in about 1 minute. The staff was really nice too! I will definitely be trying this area out again!
OMG DELICIOUS, we stopped to meet a friend and give him a part for his Engine. While I was waiting in the car I couldn't resist the delicious smell coming my way. So I got out and explained to my Boyfriend that I was hungry. I studied the Menu and was surprised by the interesting variety on skewers with protein choices you usually don't find on wide variety. I ordered the house special pork pan fried buns. The order took some time about 28min , people that sat down got served quicker than people, who ordered take out. The buns were super HOT!!! I let them sit for about 5min and still burned my tounge on the delicious soup inside. The whole experience was just so good. I hope we're in this part of O.C. again and that there will be a half order option. 6buns was definitely a lot for me.
Here’s a quick review for a pan-fried dumpling bun spot: This place delivers on all fronts when it comes to comfort food. The pan-fried buns are perfectly golden and crispy on the bottom, while maintaining a fluffy, chewy texture on top. The fillings are well-seasoned, often a savory mix of juicy pork, green onions, and a hint of ginger. Each bite offers a satisfying crunch followed by an explosion of flavorful broth inside the bun. They also offer variations like shrimp, veggie, or even spicy beef, catering to a range of tastes. Pairing the buns with their homemade vinegar dipping sauce or chili oil adds an extra layer of flavor. The prices are affordable, and the portions are generous enough to
Okay so this guy at a table next to us ordered one dish and they brought him something different (but still a chicken dish). It was apparently just as good and the guy wasn't going to say anything but the manager realized and apologized profusely, to which the man replied no problem, it was delicious 😉 They brought him a free desert. Oh yeah, the food rocks too❣️
We love the food here! We come often and usually order the original and shrimp and leek 生煎包, eight treasure and millet porridge and the spicy noodles. The restaurant is clean and restaurant staff are always nice.
My husband and I were in OC dropping a friend off at the airport and we wanted to grab lunch while we were out here. We came across Little Pan on Yelp and we were not disappointed! We never had dumplings like this before. We got the House Special (classic pork dumpling) and the 24k Gold Black Truffle! Omg.... These were amazing! So much truffle inside!!! And both buns were much bigger than I expected and packed with flavor and delicious soup! We also got the beef pancakes and those were amazing too! We probably ordered too much by also getting the chocolate dessert pan fried dumpling, but it was worth it! It was filled with warm ooey gooey chocolate... my one recommendation would be that they use powdered sugar on top instead of granulated sugar... otherwise! It was still delicious!
This was a fantastic surprise! A new experience that isn't just novel but delicious & habit worthy. We found this spot on vacation & plan to visit a 2nd time before we leave. Fresh hot food. Be warned..... it's greasy but delicious (can't be surprised by that with the words "pan fried" in the name. Cute pillows on the seats, comfortable chairs, enjoyable decor. Loved it!
I’m Latino, and to be honest, this kind of food isn’t something I usually go for — but I decided to give it a shot, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was my first time trying dumplings and these types of dishes, and I really enjoyed it. It’s not something I’d eat every day, but it was tasty and different from what I’m used to. The place is small, very clean, and has a calm, cozy vibe. I wish I had tried some of their more exotic options, but what I ordered was good and well prepared. Prices are fair, and the service was friendly — not over the top, but kind and respectful. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a casual lunch, a chill spot to eat with coworkers, or just want to try something outside your usual routine.
Amazing food chili oil mini dumplings were our favorite! Great service and food 10/10 definitely coming back here again!
Really good food and great service. Their buns are perfectly fried. Each bun has a good amount of soup inside. Just be careful with how hot the soup is when you take your first bite. My favorite buns were the house special and the leek & shrimp. We also had the beef roll and seafood pancake, both were really good.
I went to the Little Pan for the long weekend last week. I really like their house pan pork dumplings. They are very similar to what I eat in Shanghai. I was so excited and ordered two of them. Their noodles are also good there and vegetables are as well as fabulous. I get very full at this place and I will definitely come back soon.
Crispy, Juicy, and Full of Flavor – A Dumpling Lover’s Dream! Little Pan Santa Ana is a hidden gem for fans of Shanghai-style dumplings. The house special pork pan-fried buns are perfection—crispy on the bottom, pillowy soft on top, and bursting with hot, savory soup inside. I also tried the black truffle buns and mini Angus beef in chili oil—both delicious and unique. The space is clean and modern, and it’s fun to watch the team hand-make the buns behind the glass. Service was fast and friendly. Portions are on the smaller side, but the quality makes it worth every bite. Highly recommend for anyone who loves dumplings or wants to try something beyond xiaolongbao.
Wow, there are sooo many delicious dishes with Northern Chinese flavors at Little Pan! Congrats on Little Pan's beautiful new location (two doors down from their prior restaurant). I always feel that I don't have enough room in my stomach whenever I visit or order from Little Pan, but I love their leftovers, so it's not a bad problem to have! Some favorites: Sweet and Sour Cucumber: refreshing and flavorful - the perfect complement to savory pan fried buns, especially welcome on a warm day. Sweet and Sour Wood Ear Mushroom: if you like chewy textures, this is your dish! This was one of my mom's favorites. Spicy Cabbage: if you like to add a little extra heat and spice, this is a delicious choice and will complement pan-fried buns well. House Special Pan-Fried Pork Buns: juicy and well-balanced pork soupy goodness with a perfectly crispy bottom! I could eat these every day and never get tired of them. Make sure to be careful with that first bite, as these are bursting with hot and juicy goodness. The first time I tried these, I consistently burned myself but it was worth it. Now I know to make an extra small hole (maybe with a chopstick instead of biting into it) to let it cool before diving in, or alternatively, I can let the soup out onto a spoon to sip! Corn Cheese Pan-Fried Bun: a lovely veggie option with cheesy texture. Not too savory, and just a little bit of sweetness from the corn. If you love cheese pulls, you'll enjoy this one. Purple Yam Cheese Pan-Fried Bun: this was my husband's favorite! The texture is very unique and well-mixed. The sweetness of the purple yam and the savoriness of the cheese sings in perfect harmony. Mini Angus Beef Pan-Fried Bun: this new menu item is my new favorite and a must order! Tiny buns (the size of xiao long bao soup dumplings) pan-fried to a perfectly crispy char, with an explosion of delicious beef flavor inside. The bun/wrapper also has a nice bite to it. Absolutely genius! So happy to see Little Pan's new location and new menu items. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes!
Finally trying out this place after seeing endless good reviews. The photos of the food just told me to go there. I got the pan fried buns assorted set, the beef pancakes, and the beef hot pot. The hot pot broth is a bit more salty than I would prefer but I probably have a preference of more bland over more salty. It's probably ok for most people. Plenty of beef, veggies, and other goodies in the soup. Overall about a 7/10. The beef pancakes are better known as beef rolls at other similar Chinese restaurants. However, very good nevertheless. If you like extra cilantro, this one has it. Tasty inside, crispy outside. Overall 8/10. The assorted pan fried buns is a good way to sample the buns of you aren't sure what to get. The house special, seafood, and curry were all great. Nice and crispy on the bottom, super juicy on the inside. Close to perfect. Overall 9/10.
Came here for a casual lunch and ordered the CLASSIC pan-fried buns—NOTHING disappointing! Big shout-out to the ONLY female receptionist/waitress who was managing over 5 tables (including mine) ALL ON HER OWN. Despite being super busy, she handled everything SO efficiently and with a GREAT attitude. At one point, I asked for hot water while she was BUSY at the register. She explained it needed to be freshly boiled, and though I said it wasn’t necessary, she STILL remembered and brought it to me just a few minutes later—even while juggling SEVEN or EIGHT tables. I was TRULY touched by her thoughtfulness. The buns were AMAZING, but HER EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE is why I’ll DEFINITELY come back!
Overall, a pretty good comfort food experience that could be a quick meal of juicy buns. However, I don’t think that on the spectrum of pan-fried buns these were spectacular. The color on the buns was great, but the texture of the bun is weak. The contrast of fluffy dough and crispy bottom is what makes it good, and I feel like the doughy bun was just okay in quality. The insides were all rich in flavor, but nothing to write home about.
Little Pan is a little gem with authentic buns, long bao and a large menu. Better than the popular dim sum restaurants. Highly recommended.
We were their customer since the height of Covid and they focused mostly on delivery, but now they have a real cool restaurant and the food quality is still great. If you want to go for reliable food, just order the Assorted pan-fried pork buns. They also have a 24K gold black truffle of their food, but we are not the target customer for that meal yet lol
I ordered the food for delivery from Door Dash, and I was impressed the buns still retained a nice crispy bottom! These buns all came with a good amount of juice in them, make sure you slurp while you take your bite! I was happy to find that the soup did not get soaked up by the bun during the delivery time frame. The Szechuan style Chicken is a cold dish and it was flavorful but it was not spicy or numbing spicy, however I would still recommend it! The spicy cabbage is similar to kimchi and it had a nice spice to it. I would probably pass on this next time, but I was thinking it was going to more like pickled spicy cabbage, and was not expecting the kimchi style. I wanted to call out that the Nori egg soup can fill 3 small soup bowls! I was worried it was a personal size and ordered multiple, but one Togo order is good enough for 2-3 people!
Walked in here for soup and something warm when feeling a bit down with a cold, and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more! The buns were soft and crispy in all the right ways, and I really enjoyed the nori and egg soup, which warmed the insides. 6 buns can be a lot, and we shared it, so come hungry or embrace sharing a combo. Perhaps most importantly, the service and atmosphere were top notch — casual but refined, modern and classy all at once
Pan fried bun here is the best I'd had. It's like a big soup dumpling. The beef roll was delicate, full of cilantro and flavorful beef. A bit too sweet to my taste, they have pepper flakes and hot oil on the table to complement. Overall great, a tad too expensive but hey what isn't expensive nowadays.
Must try mouth watering pan fried dumplings with different varieties of taste. Gourmet juice pan-fried bun! Price is fair but with a Yelp review you get a 10% promotional discount off while still exist. Nice atmosphere here with new furnished furniture and a see through window to see staffs making dumplings and buns. QR code to scan and order for tour table was an ease. Friendly waitress and we will come back and visit soon.
Little Pan is a modern Chinese snack restaurant with a cozy and stylish ambiance. The neon lights, wooden wall panels, and comfy seating with backrests create a welcoming and relaxing environment. They serve the most delicious Pan-Fried Buns in Orange County. The classic pork buns are a must-try, with perfectly crispy bottoms and juicy, flavorful filling. Each bite bursts with rich soup and well-seasoned pork, expertly balanced with the soft bun. They also offer unique flavors like Corn & Cheese, Purple Yam & Cheese, and Shrimp & Leek, adding variety to the traditional dish. Another standout is the Beef Roll, generously packed with beef, fresh cilantro, and sweet bean sauce. It's flavorful, filling, and perfect for sharing. Beyond buns, they have specialty drinks, noodles, health-boosting soups, and other snacks. Weekday Weekly Specials offer affordable combos, making it a great value. One memorable visit was when my friend and I arrived late, close to closing time. Despite the hour, the staff warmly welcomed us and prepared our order with care. Their hospitality and dedication left a lasting impression! Little Pan is a gem for authentic and creative Chinese snacks in Santa Ana. Highly recommended!
The most unique Shanghai Style Pan-Fried Buns we’ve ever seen! 🔥🥢✨ At @littlepanfriedbun you’ll find golden, pan-fried buns bursting with flavor. We got both savory (pork, and cheese & corn) and sweet (chocolate) to try and neither disappoint! Along with many other traditional dishes, you’ll also find @949grilllounge inside who serves up sizzling Chinese BBQ that’ll have your taste buds dancing. Parking might be a bit difficult depending on the time you go but the service is so nice! Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or full on feast, this dynamic duo brings you the best of both worlds!
Pan fried dumplings are one of the things I've come back here for several times already. I like how cute the pan friend dumplings are, and I like that they are less oily than traditional Shengjiabao, but still delicious and juicy! The place is family-friendly and kid-friendly. It was nice to see how the dumplings were made through a window. Watching the chef make it was a big hit with my son!! The QR code is used to place orders, so I gave less stars for the service, but if you need anything, a server will come to your table. The usual dish we order is pig ears, house pan fried dumplings and chicken, but this time we added black mushrooms and braised beef noddles. I also enjoyed the noddles very much! The soup had little sweet taste which I liked. My next visit to Shenjiabao will definitely include trying the different flavors, and the desert also looks fascinating!
This is still my favorite place for pan fried buns! I always recommend to friends who haven't tried it and everyone thanks me for introducing them. Today's the first time I noticed people ordering stir fried dishes, and I found out there's an entire menu of dishes I never knew existed. They even have frog! But looked like they require you to start with 3 lbs which would be too much for us today...so we may have to try it on a future visit. We did decide to try their stir fried beef and I really enjoyed it. It had onions, bell peppers, jalapeno, cilantro and black pepper seasoning. It was very flavorful, and I would order it again.
Amazing food. A little slow because of the take out orders, but worth the trip! We ate the house special buns, curried chicken buns, and the truffle buns - at $29.99 the truffle buns were $$ but they were delicious and worth it. We also had the taro buns for dessert. Hot and crispy - I happily overate since we don’t have any place like this in Seattle. The beef pancake was tasty, but a trap for those of us that don’t like cilantro.
Was here one when they just opened and only sell buns only. Now they have plenty of dishes to choose from. We dine-in so you scan and order at the table and once the foods are done, they will bring it out. It was easy, fast and convenient. Staff are friendly & nice when interacted asking for stuffs or paying the bill. They do have inside and outside seating and the place is neat and clean. Prices wise, not bad and the portion is big too. Taste wise, overall good, just good. I would say that don’t expect too much or else I would suggest to go else where for better quality but for the pricing and portion, it a nice package overall.
I'm going to give this place a 4.5 for the overall experience. The staff were welcoming, the girl at the desk was very nice. We were able to get food pretty quick and without fuss. The food overall was excellent and we were glad to have stumbled on this joint. I particularly like the broccoli beef and kung pao chicken sets. Interestingly, the dumplings were not as good as I had hoped but all the other items were excellent. There was a little confusion to me as most of the food was Chinese but then there was, Katsu and Kimchi too. Oh, the shrimp fried rice was awesome! We were pretty full after and I really enjoyed the food overall. It's more of a quick drop in place, non pretentious. With drinks etc about $25 per person.
I have been wanting to try Little Pan for a while. We ordered cucumber, fried rice and 2 lunch specials. Order via QR. I did need some help ordering 🫣. The food was good. Parking that might get a little tight at prime lunch time. Bet they do a lot of to go orders.

The place is nice and quaint. A bit of a task to find but not going to let you down. Buns have a very unique taste especially given the size. Although the cup of dumplings and soda was probably the best bang for your buck. Fills you up and satisfied my overall hunger. Decided to give the truffle dumplings a try and had a pleasantly surprising taste . The soup that pools at the bottom carries the truffle throughout and inside is a surprise I wouldn't have thought to have been in there.
This place well known as shanghainese pan fried dumpling and it was delicious piping hot. I also order pickled cucumber salad and soup. The confusing order system was not cool. One of my order didnt come after I place thru online system . So they just took it off from my bill. Be aware if you want to place pan fried pork bun or the seafood one, the different is one little piece of shrimp inside. Nothing special in my opinion
Cute new spot in Santa Ana for Chinese comfort food! 🥡FOOD: Definitely recommend the House Special Pork Pan Fried Bans. Super juicy inside with a nice crispy outside. The platter of 6 was perfect to split between 2 people, as they are filling. The rainbow dumplings are also a nice treat, with a chance to try 4 different fillings in one platter (8 dumplings). Everything was served hot and tasted fresh. 💵PRICE: Incredibly fair prices for the service. Total bill was only $24 for two people splitting two platters, no drinks. 🧑🍳SERVICE: 1 point off for service, team seemed at capacity/busy so receiving help took a bit longer than desired. 📍INTERIOR: No need to takeout, there is plenty of space inside as well as a bathroom and free refillable water. It can get windy so be sure to keep this in mind. There are cute bao balloons on the ceiling, but these were flying around with the wind! Overall a great treat for a good price, will definitely return.
Legit place for Sheng Jian Bao (pan seared pork bao at the bottom). Only a few minor improvements needed 1) Not juicy enough 2) bottom not crispy enough. But I’m nitpicking as SJB is from my hometown and thus I have high standards lol. I would say the ones from Kang Lang Food Court is better if you are willing to drive to San Gabriel Valley. Ordered a few other dishes: - Lamb sauerkraut vermicelli soup: 8 out of 10. Wish soup a bit more sour - Pickled cucumber: 10 out of 10! Very nice balance of spice with chilly oil, garlic and vinegar. Cucumber super crunchy! - Pickled wood-ear: 7 out of 10. It slightly lacks the flavor balance and needs more vinegar. - Shredded bean curd: 9 out of 10. This is a nice surprise. Great flavor and texture. Pro tip: If you don’t want to sit in restaurant, there are plenty of seats outside that are shared by all restaurant in the plaza.
Check for the vents when sitting because I accidentally sat under one and was really cold (unless that's what you like). Can do take out or sit at any table and order from the QR code. Only got 2 items and the meat one came out first and waited long for the shrimp +House Special Pork Pan Fried Bun- 9/10 - very full filing, I thought 6 was a small amount but ollnly able to eat 4. Love the crunch. -Shrimp and Leek - 7/10 - good but personally like the pork one more
Food: The House Special pan-fried bun was the best among all 3. We ordered the assorted to try it all. The beef pancake was alright, I like that it's not super oily. The seafood pancake wasn't as good as it has lots of dough and it lacks seasoning. Atmosphere: I love the atmosphere here. It's modern and casual. Great for family or just a casual meal as a couple. I also love the fact that they have their own printed plates and bowls.
Little Pan is my go-to spot for mini dumplings and Chinese street food. The food is decent, with the dumplings having a nice flavor, though they could sometimes be a bit more consistent in texture. The street food options are varied and give a taste of authentic flavors, although not everything hits the mark. The service is generally okay, but nothing particularly stands out. It's a convenient spot for a quick bite when you're craving these types of dishes

The street food options are varied and give a taste of authentic flavors, although not everything hits the mark. The service is generally okay, but nothing particularly stands out. It's a convenient spot for a quick bite when you're craving these types of dishes
I was going to give it a 4 or a 5 until the rainbow dumplings came. The wood ears and the pan fried buns were delicious. The woode ars were spicy, they should've noted it on the menu. So everything was great until the rainbow dumplings came. They were probably one of the worst dumplings I've had. The skin was sad and soggy. I wasn't sure if they messed up our order or that's how it's supposed to be.
The pan fried dumplings were not good at all. The dough was sweet, like a pastry at a Korean bakery. There was only air surrounding the bland meat filling (I was expecting broth or sauce). It was nothing like what was shown in the menu pictures. The soup dumplings were ok, nothing spectacular. The dumplings in chili oil were the best, but not good enough to come back for. Overall, we were very disappointed. We went on Christmas Day so perhaps the usual staff was off. I doubt we will come back and give them a second chance, however.
I decided to do to go and then last minute decided to do dine in. I ordered my food and the food I shall say is very good the boba with dumplings is a little pricey but it is very good. I did dine in and I went up to one of the girl working there to ask for napkins. she then proceeded to give me attitude and she was like “look at this sign and read it” and it was a sign that said “the tables are for dine in” she was rude about it could’ve said it differently and honestly it really ruined my vibe there.
This place is more expensive than other Chinese restaurants, and the portions are small. It was very salty, so I was constantly thirsty. However, their pan-fried buns were quite good, and there were many choice. But I probably won't come again.

I ordered the mini bun. Meat was salty. The experience was terrible. Despite being told by the cashier that the waiting time would be approximately 10-15 minutes, I ended up waiting for ONE hour. It is highly disappointing that customers who came after me for dine-in received their buns while I had to endure such a lengthy delay. They offered free soy milk for the delay. Considering this experience, I cannot recommend this place if you're looking for a satisfactory and timely service.
The shengjianbao that this place is named after does not taste good at all. I had some of the best shengjianbaos in San Francisco and thought I'd try them in SoCal as well, but while I've tried them in the SGV and OC areas, nowhere lives up to the high standard I got accustomed to in NorCal. What I ate in SF was bursting with delicious hot soup and meat, but what I got at this place tasted more like a doughy pastry with the soup and meat being an afterthought. I was disappointed and didn't feel like finishing the baos, which is unfortunate because this place has a really cute concept; it just didn't deliver. Service is typical for Orange County. You order using a QR code, so it's pretty efficient. Parking, however, is a nightmare. I tried twice to eat at this place, but the first time I had to leave because my partner couldn't find any parking. The plaza this place is located in has several restaurants but insufficient parking to accommodate all of them. Recommend just getting takeout if you want some knockoff shengjianbaos to satisfy the craving.
By far the worst service I’ve received all year! My friend and I ordered about $80 worth of food at 7:22 PM and were told the wait would be 13 minutes. About 20 minutes later, we noticed our ticket said takeout even though we were never asked if we wanted to dine in or take it to go. I showed our receipt to the cashier and asked if we could dine in, and she agreed, bringing us paper plates and cups. That was the last time anyone came to our table. After waiting an entire hour and watching other customers get served, I noticed that some people who had been waiting almost as long as we had started getting their food, but not by much. It seemed like the staff prioritized takeout orders and large dining parties, while smaller tables like ours were completely overlooked. I finally went to the counter at 8:23 PM to check on our order. The cashier looked surprised, even though multiple staff members had walked past our table the entire time without acknowledging us. She printed a ticket, went to the back, and came out to say the Thai tea machine was down and that we needed to pick another drink. I told her we would just take water at this point, and she said that was not an option and we would have to choose jasmine milk tea instead. When I asked if our food was ready, she said yes, they just needed the drink. A few minutes later, she came out with our order bagged up and completely room temperature. There was no apology, no update, and no explanation for the delay. We ended up eating in the car because the food was cold and unappetizing by then. I was extremely disappointed with the entire experience. The food might have been good if it had been served fresh, but the lack of communication and care from the staff ruined it. Busy night or not, customers should never be ignored or treated like an inconvenience. An absolute waste of money and time. I would not recommend this place at all.
