YiFeng Bistro is a new French restaurant that is quickly becoming a local favorite. Customers rave about the Kung Pao chicken and spicy wontons. Service can be slow when busy, but the food is worth the wait.
Tip: Try the spicy dishes, even if you don't usually like spicy food.
Great place to eat. We go often to Din tai fung at Downtown Disney and found this place on TikTok. Definitely chill vibe, friendly atmosphere, and for my introverts you can order straight from a QR code. My favorite is the shrimp fried rice and the dumplings. For the green beans, I’d definitely ask for less salt/garlic but all in all very flavorful. Must try this place .
Finally visited the restaurant after a few months of them opening. Came & met my twin for lunch w her hubby. What we ordered ~ Hot & Sour Soup was good. Traditional H & S soup flavor. Good & recommended ~ Spicy Shrimp & Pork Wonton(8) is good. Just a little on the sweeter side after taste , the wonton is filled fully. ~ Fish Filiet w Black Bean Sauce is yummy. Taste was on point, the gravy was good, thick & highly recommended. ~ Beef fried rice was good. Had a yummy egg taste to it with the tender meat. Filled with lots of beef. One of the best fried rice I’ve had. The food was delicious indeed. They serve authentic Chinese food. Simple modern Chinese food restaurant. Very clean and lots of table seating available. Server was attentive and received our items in a timely manner. Will definitely return and take advantage of the 16% off. Located in the Eastlake Village plaza. Next to Massage Envy & CVS. Lots of parking available. TIP~ they are currently running a 15% off Monday-Thursday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A New Favorite! YiFeng Bistro is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere — it’s modern, stylish, and still cozy enough to feel like a local favorite in the making. The food? 10/10. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully plated, and clearly made with care. You can tell the kitchen puts real passion into what they’re serving. I can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu! They were definitely more crowded than they anticipated, but despite the rush, the staff remained kind, attentive, and apologetic — even though we thought the service was still very good. They clearly care about their guests having a great experience, and it shows. If you’re in town, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at YiFeng Bistro. You won’t regret it. A must-visit spot that’s already earned a top spot on my go-to list!
YiFeng Bistro delivers excellent, authentic Chinese and Taiwanese dishes with fast and friendly service. The xiao long bao were standout—perfectly steamed with rich broth and tender pork. The beef rolls had crispy scallion pancake wrapping flavorful beef and fresh veggies, making them a must-try. The spicy wontons were silky and packed with bold, balanced heat. We also enjoyed the crisp, garlicky sautéed string beans and refreshing pickled cucumbers, which complemented the heavier dishes nicely. The milk tea was smooth and not overly sweet, pairing well with the savory flavors. Overall, everything was fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. A fantastic spot worth returning to. Highly recommended!
Great place for dumplings and soup. Full menu for all seeking for din tai fung replacement.
Very good Chinese food. Friendly service. We will go back again 💕
Delicious food and excellent service will come back soon!
Loved the Mongolian beef, veggie fried rice, and orange chicken.
Clean, new restaurant. It's nice that the menu has pictures.
Food was good. Good people
Probably one of the most authentic Chinese restaurants I've eaten at in the area. Glad it's here!
Food was delicious
We are diehard Din Tai Fung fans and this place blows them out of the water! The flavors are excellent and the portions are generous. This is the first time we all forgot to take pictures of the food! We ordered the Pork Xiao Long Bao, Chicken Xiao Long Bao, Spicy Pork Wontons, marinated cucumber salad, sautéed green beans with garlic, chicken fried rice cake, beef roll, chicken wonton soup, Pork chop egg fried rice and fruit teas…SO much food and everything was excellent!
I had the chance to try YiFeng Bistro and it was perfect. The food was absolutely incredible — fresh, flavorful, and clearly crafted with intention. Every bite was a standout! The atmosphere was lively but still felt elevated and comfortable — the kind of place you can dress up a little for, or just come and enjoy good food with friends or family. It was noticeably busy (seems like word is spreading fast!), and the staff was honest about being a little more packed than expected. They apologized and even wished they could’ve provided better service — but honestly, I thought they did a great job under pressure. Everyone was friendly and doing their best, which I really appreciated. Definitely planning to come back soon — YiFeng Bistro is officially on my “favorites” list!
The food is delicious, not too oily or too salty, better than many restaurants around, especially the dumplings and stir-fried dishes. The waiters are good and friendly.
came here with my family, and the food is so good!! highly recommend the pork XLB and the chicken rice cakes. affordable and great value
Great local Chinese cuisine. Great tasting food with great service.
Food was really delicious, what a hidden gem in Yorba Linda. Will definitely be back for more food.
The food is really delicious and the restaurant is really clean. Will definitely be back. Highly recommended
Visiting our neighbors, they recommended YiFeng Bistro in the Vons Shopping Center. Wow, I'm glad they did. We had Honey Walnut Shrimp, Pork Fried Noodles, Mongolian Beef, Vegetable Fried Rice and Chicken Pan Fried Dumplings. All were exceptional. Everything was very fresh and very flavorful. The meats were very good quality and were trimmed so that there was no gristle. I would definitely recommend YiFeng Bistro and am looking forward to our next meal there.
I love this place. I come here every week. Use the QR code and you’ll get your food fast. Cheaper than Din Tai Fung. The honey walnut shrimp is the best. Highly recommend this place.
We ordered several diferente food items. They were all excellent. Great taste. Nothing was oily or tasted overwelming. I found this hole on the wall restaurant by pure luck. We all found the food to be better that many of the chain restaurants like PF Chang. Prices were much better than chain restaurants. I do recommend it. We plan on returning soon with more family members. I think that if you like good Chinese food. You won't be disappointed.
Food was so delicious and was a good price. Would definitely go again. There was a long wait line but well worth it. Unfortunately, we did see costumers very rude to the staff. She handled it herself very well. Can’t wait to come again.
Great food, fast service and easy for takeout or dine in. I have done both. The juicy pork dumplings are good, shrimp wonton soup is good, shrimp fried rice was good and the beef noodle soup was good too.
To the people saying bad service, there’s a QR code for you to scan on the table and order food fast if you don’t want to wait for a server. The honey walnut shrimp, xiao long bao, garlic string bean, and cucumber salad is amazing, we come here at least once a week!
Tried a few new dishes at YiFeng and they totally hit the spot. The fried tofu was crispy outside and soft inside — simple but really tasty, especially with the dipping sauce. The beef fried noodles were super satisfying with that smoky wok flavor and tender beef, definitely a comfort food win. And the corn and pork dumplings were juicy and flavorful, with a nice little sweetness from the corn that made them stand out. Also 5 star service! I will definitely come back.
This restaurant is new in the area so they currently offer 20% discount until end of July. I came here during lunch time today with 3 of my friends so we ordered a lot of food and the service is quick. We ordered Cucumber Salad, Beef roll, Xiao Long Bao, Beef noodle soup, String Bean with Garlic, Popcorn chicken, Spicy pork wonton, Fried tofu and Chicken fried rice cake. They are delightful and flavorful and prices are reasonable and decent as well. The portion is big as good to share if you come with a big group. I was impressed by the interior; the ambiance is cozy and restaurant look very new and clean. Customer service is great and friendly and afood are excellent. Highly recommended if you live in the area, definitely need to check it out. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 5/5. This will be my spot to go in my list.
Junto a Massage Envy y CVS. Amplio estacionamiento disponible.
No necesariamente 5/5, sino 4.5/5.
No te arrepentirás.
Bottom Line Up Front: Yifeng Bistro is a surprisingly satisfying Chinese restaurant with welcoming ambience, solid custom service, and good food. The Background: I rarely go out to have Chinese food in Orange County because I find most places to be average at best. Normally if I have a craving, I drive up to the Rowland Heights area for authentic Chinese food. So going to Yifeng Bistro I had some apprehensions. Thankfully, my fears were unfounded. The Food: My wife and I ordered three dishes we use as a litmus test for any new restaurant we try: hot-and-sour soup, beef roll, and honey walnut shrimp. All three passed the test. The soup was indeed hot (temperature) but not too sour. Fortunately, they had red vinegar on the table and one dollop of that seasoning providing the perfectly balanced kick. The beef roll was solid, with a generous amount of brisket. I would have preferred the wrap to have been a little crispier, but it was still tasty overall. The honey walnut shrimp was good but not great. Not enough walnut, and the shrimp lacked that slightly toasted outer layer that I like. But the meat itself was moist. The Location: The restaurant is in the corner of a large shopping complex that houses Big 5 and Curl Fitness. There are a lot of spaces and each slot is pretty wide, making it easy to park a large truck or SUV. While there was a lot of activity when we arrived Friday evening, we were still able to find a spot directly in front of the shop. The Setting: Inside, the bistro is well lit, features cute Asian decorations and, most importantly, is clean and well organized. The plates, dishes, and utensils were all spotless and elegant. Oh, but I found it odd for a sit-down restaurant with beautiful kitchenware to serve drinking water in cheap, disposable plastic cups. The Prices: Maybe I'm living in the past, but the cost of food is creeping up everywhere, and Yifeng is no exception. Prices range from $7 to $13 for appetizers, $10 to $13 for side dishes, and $14 to $20 for entrees. Our dinner for two came out to be about $50 with tip -- a little higher than expected for a place that serves water in a plastic cup. The Service: As per most Asian restaurants, our server wasn't the friendliest with nary a smile in sight. But she was was efficient, knowledgeable, and actually returned on a few occasions without us having to flag her down. We'll take that any day over one who is friendly but incompetent. The Conclusion: While not flawless, Yifeng Bistro serves up tasty and authentic Chinese food (a rarity in Orange County) in a clean environment with solid service. We look forward to returning and trying the other dishes.
Yi Feng Bistro is newer to this space in the Village Vons shopping center, having replaced a similar Asian restaurant that was in this location previously. We were surprised to find the place we were used to gone, but decided to give Yi Feng a try, and we were quite glad we did!! Very pleasantly surprised!! All new owners, new front of house and kitchen staff! Quick seating, and notably busier than the former place used to be on a Sat. evening, and it was still pretty early. Friendly staff and easy to communicate. We decided to try a variety of dishes to share. We were pleased to find some old standbys, and very much enjoyed the dumpling offerings, which Yi Feng seems to specialize in. We were, however, a bit disappointed to find no flexibility with some of the menu items, for requests that were quite common to Asian fare. We started with the vegetarian egg flower soup. Despite being a staple, with plenty of egg in it, it was disappointing, as it was incredibly oily. Good flavor, but not even enjoyable enough to take the majority of the very large family-sized bowl home. We actually would've preferred one of the many won ton soups, but they all have pork, and one of our group didn't eat pork, so we had to skip all of those options, unfortunately (this became an unfortunate theme). We ordered the pan fried chicken dumplings. Mostly steamed, and lightly fried - in a word - excellent!! Amazing texture and flavor!! Again, the only disappointment is there were other varieties of dumplings we'd have liked to try, but every version had pork with whatever else was in them. But we did enjoy the chicken very much! We ordered the honey walnut shrimp (walnuts on the side). Again - excellent, and not too much breading like so many places use - a subtle, creamy honey sauce, and light, crispy breading - SO good!! The shrimp fried rice was quite good, with plentiful shrimp! We'd normally order a combo fried rice (beef, chicken, shrimp), but they didn't even offer any combo, nor would they make it, even with an offered up-charge. But it was still good. The most disappointing dish was the "steamed" broccoli, which should've been called "garlic broccoli." It had SO much heavy garlic sauce on it, it was not edible, and we actually like garlic. They did not offer to replace it with plain steamed, but said we could order it that way in the future. They also did not offer to remove it from the bill (it was not advertised as garlic). Not great customer service on this one point, but the rest of the meal was definitely good enough to have us come back again. Very good food - too many (like 80%+) of the options include pork that can't be made without, but what we had for the most part was quite tasty, and we'll definitely be back, but avoiding certain dishes, and looking forward to trying new ones.
The food is delicious. The service can improve , But they were doing thier best. We did go for Sunday dinner and they were busy.
I recently visited Yifang Bistro and overall had a good experience. The food was enjoyable and clearly prepared with care. Flavors were solid across the dishes, and you can tell there’s attention to quality and presentation. Service was also friendly and attentive, which made the visit comfortable. The only area that could use a bit of improvement is the ambience. It’s not bad by any means, but it could use a little more warmth or character to elevate the overall dining experience. Dessert was the main letdown. The portion was quite small, and it looked a bit dry, which didn’t really match the quality of the rest of the meal. It felt like an afterthought compared to everything else. Overall, it’s still a good spot with tasty food and nice service. With a slight upgrade to the ambience and a stronger dessert offering, this place could easily be a 5-star experience. I’d definitely come back.
I go here when I want to go to Din Tai Fung but at the same time I don't because it's too expensive. This place is affordable and offers similar Taiwanese style food.
We used to go to DIdi fireart all the time before it changed to Yifeng Bistro. The decor looks the same but the menu is different. They have soup dumplings now which is nice. The fried dumplings are good too. The wonton soup is ok. Their fried tofu isn’t very crunchy, a bit bland. The got and sour soup has mostly broth, not the right amount of ingredients. I liked the fried noodles but the fried rice is not good, more like stirred rice. I used to love Didi fried rice and Singapore noodles and they don’t have them. The other dishes are somewhat oily. I would recommend using less oil.
The food we had was well made but there was only 1 server for the entire resturant. Very poor to have only 1 person serve so many tables during the crazy lunch slam.
We really enjoy this place. We've taken so many people here. Food comes out fast. Only slight thing is when you order take out and you ask for chili. lol-i have no idea why people are so tight when it comes to giving out chili. But whatever. The food is still good, and I highly recommend it .
Food was very good. Fish was amazing. My only criticism would be that there were several tables that needed to be cleared. It seemed only two front of house people working and restaurant was otherwise full so it is popular. Prices are fair except tea is $4.99 and I will not pay that much for tea. I will be back with my family.
This is my first time here and sad to say I was a little disappointed with the marinated cucumbers. They were hot and a little bland. I read a review that said someone had gone to ding tai fung before and compared it as such, but also having been there, the cucumbers underwhelmed me. As did most of the food.
2.5 stars rounded up. The beef pepper udon was ok but the noodles were a bit overcooked. The green beans with garlic were probably the best thing we ordered. The shrimp chive pork dumplings lacked flavor (like they forgot to season the filling). The worst thing was the pork XLB. The skin was too thick and there was zero soup inside - and I’m not talking about in just one or two - the entire order of 8 dumplings had zero soup inside. To make things worse, we didn’t get them for over 30 minutes for the order to come out. When we asked a waitress about it, she said she’d go check on them. When she came back later to fill our waters, she asked if we were missing anything. Um yes the soup dumplings. I hate giving new restaurants a bad review but this place just isn’t great. Edible, but I’d rather go to Min’s down the street.
They’re new, so not holding these points against them and I’m just one opinion. It was stuffy and warm inside- it was cooler outside. A few degrees less would make it better. The scallion pancake was good, but I could taste the oil a little, like old oil taste, not bad, but not the freshest. The sesame noodles were good- seemed fresh- they dumped the sauce on top and didn’t mix so a bit watery on the bottom and thick on top with some dry noodles on the side- but maybe that’s how it’s done, I haven’t had noodles in over a decade. Still, nice looking inside, good service, quick food.
Update 12/26/2025: Downgrading our rating after our second attempt. Ordered four dishes today, and from best to worst: 1) String beans with garlic is at least dry and flavorful. 2) Cucumber salad is soso. They did not prepare the cucumber with salt overnight? The sauce is too sweet. 3) Shrimp dry pot: the shrimp is great! Other things were all weird - onions and bean sprouts were raw, and whole dish tasted like deep fried shrimps + fries + onion/bean sprouts salad. The seasoning is also weird. It's more mala (numbing spicy) than plain spicy. 4) The absolute worst! It's hard to imagine anyone can screw up on Hot and Sour Soup. The first trial came with a dark brown liquid that tasted nothing other than a bottle of undiluted black vinegar. It's 2/5 bad, and hard to swallow given how sour it was. We asked them to recook by adding more water. They did graciously remake another one, but the weird thing was... Even with less black vinegar, it still tasted gross, and worse at 1/5. We left the bowl 90% untouched and left. Did they still ask us to pay for it? Yeah. Doubt we will ever be back. We only liked one item so far: kung pao chicken, and nothing else... ------------------------------ There are great dishes and fair dishes. Not necessarily 5/5, but 4.5/5. Great dishes: All the spicy dishes are spot-on, even for those who hates spicy food. Kung Pao chicken and spicy wonton had such wonderful aroma. Wonton were surprisingly juicy, even jucier than Xiao long Bao. Fair dishes: Beef fried noodles: their pan fried items are definitely their strengths, but this one is too sweet. Xiao long Bao: kinda ugly looking, but they actually have very thin skin and taste great, with lots of juice! Very comfortable seating and nice services. Will be back to try out their chilli pot next time!
If there’s another choice in this area, try to avoid this restaurant
The place was nice and there was calming music. My focus was on the food more though. The food was decently greasy and very oily in my opinion. My only favorite was the Xiao long bao (soup dumplings), but they didn't have as much soup as I expected which disappointed me. I tried the pan fried buns which tasted good but maybe a little too much oil and wasn't very fried at the bottom. The bok-choy tasted sweeter than others I've tried before which, personally, I didn't like very much and tasted like they added sugar on top. I also tried the fried tofu which was decent and the beef bowl soup is a little too salty. They messed up on our orders twice and gave us the wrong food. We had the scallion pancakes which were decent in my opinion but it also tasted a bit too oily. (This is my opinion, if you don't agree that's okay) Hope this helps!
About one hour after we had dinner here, husband and I had really bad tummy aches. 🥴
It's a shame that this restaurant compared themself to Din Tai Fung cuz it's horrible I ordered walnut shrimp, beef stew, chilly oil dumbling and cucumber salad. Walnut shrimp: 6/10. Nothing crazy, the least terrible dish out of all. Portion is super small for the price of $20. The shrimp aren't fried correctly, it's soft, not crispy and nothing special Beef stew noodle: 4/10. Taste like you're eating star anise soup. Not even a beef stew but more like beef slices. Bok choy is not washed correctly and above all, the soup is not even hot. The worst thing about having chinese dish is that it's not served hot. Cucumber sald: 4/10. $8 for proabably 10 pieces. No taste Chilly oil dumpling: 5/10. both the dumpling and chilly oil taste store-made. Overall, a complete waste of money. This restaurant serve people who never have Chinese food before at best and don't deserve your money. There's 1 server for the entire store and they don't even walk you through how to order the dish. The vibe of the restaurant is completely off
It was absolutely the worst Chinese food I've ever had No ice When I mentioned the beef was inedible. The waitress just looked at me. Fried rice ...really bad Green beans way to oily The place was so lit up Absolutely no atmosphere
Horrible wait time. The service is super slow that I dont know if they are still raising the pig for my pork chop rice. People do not have time for this kind of service. We wont be back. Good luck staying in business.
After 15 minutes of no service or basically any interaction with the staff we decided to leave. So we cannot rate anything else. Very sad we were looking forward to having a nice dinner in our new neighbor hood restaurant. Very disappointed.
Sunday 5:00 p.m. sat here for 27 minutes and wasn't sure if I was invisible. Horrible first experience. What makes it worse is the people who came in after me were waited on first.
We had multiple dishes with hairs in them. It was absolutely disgusting and the bathroom would not pass inspection. They didn’t comp the check. It was an awful experience all around
