This is small cute breakfast spot for passerby. It's convenient to grab pastries or have a breakfast sandwich or burrito. I had the breakfast sandwich with bacon strips. It was delicious and fresh. Service was kind. Atmosphere was great, as well. Come tey them out!!

Super cool breakfast diner, M-F from 6am-3pm! Right off the beach and fast service. Their veggie avocado sandwich on sourdough paired with the California date shake was so delicious. The building is cute with lots to look at. Old history tidbits, photos, art pieces, surfboards on the ceiling and just an overall awesome vibe! I really enjoyed my experience. Would love to come back and try more items Cheers 🍊🏄‍♀️🌊

What an amazing place the food was fantastic. The people were very nice and friendly. We got the ham and cheese with egg croissant and also the spinach cheese and egg croissant. Both were flaky and delicious. Additionally, we got an orange muffin which we just flat out loved. They had a little patio in the back where you gonna dine with your little pup.

From a beachfront lodge with a private beach in Laguna Beach, it was only a 2-minute walk. The café opens early in the morning and offers a wide variety of menu items, all of which were hearty and delicious. It has even been recognized in the past as a top beach café, and I could see why it’s so loved by the locals. A cozy spot with the perfect atmosphere for Laguna Beach.

Best beach restaurant I have ever been to. Been here a few times over the years and have never had bad experiences. Very good food and a great selection. We had the O.I. Breakfast plate. Scrambled egg, potatoes, English muffin, orange slice. The egg was made perfectly with minimal seasoning. The potatoes were also cooked perfectly with a bit of salt and garlic. Not over seasoned which I dislike. I wish to taste only good food. Even the orange slice was fantastic. The staff are efficient and cordial. If you want great food at a very reasonable price then stop here

I stopped by the outdoor counter and very picked up an iced pumpkin spice latte and an orange muffin. Service was great and my latte was made quickly to perfection. That was honestly ine of the best PSLs I've ever had. The muffin had a nice flavor as well. Very tasty.

Love this quaint throw back in time. Been a fixture forever in Laguna. Right on the corner of Pacific Coast Highway across from Ralph's Market. 3 parking spaces on the side. Food is delicious and the baked goods great! The owner and employees are really nice. Love the ham omelet and the breakfast potatoes are the bomb!

First time customer. I’ll touch on the service first. It’s Labor Day today, the little spot was full, line of people, and the service was impeccable. The staff was moving! Getting people’s order in and out of the kitchen quickly. All while still taking the time at the counter to explain the favorites to us. Now the food. We had the breakfast burrito with sausage, huevos bodreros, strawberry shake, banana shake, coffee, strawberry and jam sandwich , and cinnamon roll. The breakfast burrito was by far the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. It was perfect. Refried beans with cheese, egg, and avocado. A little tapatio packet it came with was the cherry on top. I had to stop the guy helping us on the way out to let him know how good it was. Everything else was fantastic. The coffee was so good , next time I’ll buy some of their coffee beans they have for sale. The shakes were tasty, not too sweet, just perfect. Getting a table can be a little challenging since it’s a small spot, but the size of the shop just adds to the appeal. I’m sure the workers are compensated ok because they were hustling and they were happy. But if the owner reads this, and is maybe thinking of giving them wage raises or bonuses or something…do it. Your staff just won you two return customer.

I'm sad we live so far away because if not I'd come here all the time! The owner John is very friendly and personable. We came after seeing him and the restaurant featured on an old episode of California's Gold. It definitely looked like a treasure and we were really excited to try it and we were not disappointed. My chorizo breakfast burrito was the best I've ever had, huge!! The Pico salsa on the side with the chips has such a unique delicious flavor. My husband had the grilled chicken burger that comes with avocado and sprouts and he enjoyed it. We also ordered an orange muffin Which had like a crust on the outside and then a soft flavorful crumb inside, the orange flavor was strong made with their fresh orange juice and it was not overly sweet. They also have fresh juice We got an orange and guava one which was tropical and delicious. Perfect with the muffin. Come try it out, we will be back!!

Cute little Cafe with delicious food and amazing service! We are from Canada and stumbled upon the Orange Inn and we are so glad we did. My daughter and her friend also got some of the baking after we ate our breakfast and everything was delicious! The lady working ended up throwing in a free cinnamon bun each and a reusable bag! Amazing staff, food and service!! 1000% recommended!!!!

This little place open in 1971 by the owner John. I had a peach muffin which is delicious! John is so nice and the place is charming. I great selection of food and drinks including breakfast and lunch items, fresh pressed juices, alcoholic, non alcoholic beverages and of course coffee. I will definitely come back next time I’m in Laguna Beach!

We stumbled upon this place for a quick bite to eat, what a great find!!!! It looks like there is a great selection of food and drinks for any time of day - there is something for you. Prices are super reasonable and the service was so good. If you stop by this place you have to try it!!!

I’d travel halfway across the country for the O.I. Breakfast Sandwich! Who knew that something so simple could be done with such perfection to the point where it’s unbelievably delicious. I always like to get my sandwich on sourdough, which they do a great job with lightly toasting. The eggs are also perfectly cooked with cheese on top. The sand which also comes with tortilla chip, a delicious little side of Pico de Gallo, and an orange slice. And let me tell you… don’t underestimate the wonderful news of that orange slice at the end of your meal.

This is a classic breakfast spot with mom and pop diner quality food AND a full coffee bar with all espresso drinks. It’s hard to find a place that has both! To make things better, the owner of shop for the last 55 years works there with his son to make sure you enjoy your food and get great service. We had the steak burrito, an iced cappuccino, and fresh squeezed orange juice. All great! Amazing family owned and run business to support - highly recommend stopping here! There is also limited parking right outside the restaurant specifically reserved for customers.

Don't be in a rush, it is a little slow to serve but everything is fresh. The freshly squeezed orange j6 was amazing.. the rest of the juice options were 'ok' the place is very special.

We got the steak breakfast burrito and the breakfast burger. The burrito was exactly what you expect, thick cuts of steak with some egg mixed in. The burger was a little disappointing as it is just a sandwich, it has no hamburger in it, but as a sandwich it was delicious. We also got the pumpkin muffin and the bran muffin, unfortunately the pumpkin was a bit dry and flavorless, the bran was actually slightly moist and quite sweet.

Moved to the area recently and was walking around exploring Laguna beach. Stopped here for a sandwich to go. I ordered a chicken sandwich, and a banana bread. It came out promptly in a to go container with a side of pickles, an orange slice, some tortilla chips and a packet of hot sauce. The sandwich came in a couple of pieces of hearty bread, it was a little dry for my taste, I would have liked more sauce, but that's just me. The banana bread had nuts and the first bite was delicious. It was a little over baked and dry, but it had a nice slightly caramelized crust and it was still good. They are known for their juices and coffee maybe? I'll have to stop by again to try other things on the menu.

Steak burrito was great. The Orange Inn Smoothie was just okay. We were sad that they still have the inside of the inn closed for indoor dining. We couldn’t find any where to comfortably sit, except for a bench and that was awkward for eating. So it’s definitely a take and go place.

I've been going to the Orange Inn, on and off, for about 20 years. The breakfast burrito remains a staple of any trip to Laguna Beach, and the atmosphere is quaint and beachy. My only note was that both times I was in the restaurant this week the servers (behind the counter), were not friendly. This wasn't just to me, as the second time I paid attention to other guests as well. The Orange Inn has the food and location to make you smile whether a local or a visitor. The staff should be reminded that their primary job is to not disrupt the vibe...while I can appreciate it isn't an easy job, the critical component is being friendly and receptive to customers!

This is a little spot on the main drag that opens early and offers breakfast options and coffee. They have a very wide menu to include pastries, burritos and omelets among a few others. I found the food good and it served as a great option for an early breakfast for an early riser like me. However, I cannot say that it was outstanding and would like to rate it 3.5 stars but the system doesn't allow it and I cannot get to 4 stars. If I were in the area I would still go here for the breakfast options for convenience.

Food was below average. French toast was bland. Eggs were bland. Breakfast sandwich was bland. The drinks were criminal. Just milk in a cup with a hint of matcha as shown in the pictures. It’s an overpriced, overcrowded restaurant riding on the coattails of yesteryears success.

Coffee and muffin were fine. We were in vacation and I intentionally grabbed my clean, reusable coffee cup and asked for my latte to be in it. The barista told me that I had to have it in a single-use, disposable cup. Super disappointing as they are literally just steps from the beach!
