Roman's Mexican Restaurant Laguna Hills Reviews
Great spot! We enjoyed everything we got. The complimentary chips and salsa were delicious; the salsa was the perfect spice level. The birria tacos were tender and spicy. The asada enchiladas with red sauce were delicious. Definitely want to come back. Update: I’ve been back multiple times and everything has been good. Delicious tortas. The asada fiesta fries are a big portion.
The Food is soooo Good. Perfect I love Tortas de Milanesa they are sooo good love them here they are big & tasty. Also tried the Micheladas and they tasted fresh delicious and got my baby rice & egg and she likes it my husband got the carne asada nachos they were really good. I recommend this place it’s clean and the service is good.
Best little secret in Laguna hills. Food is excellent. The micheladas are super tasty.

There's no way this place can get a bad review. I probably haven't taken the time to write 10 reviews in my 67 years of purchasing goods and services for personal use and enjoyment. Had dinner there with my wife on a tip from a friend. It's part of a nice little strip mall that has a wide variety of good favorite restruants. I had never noticed Romans. It was decent and clean with comfortable chairs. Although not a sit down/waiter type of place the couple/owners working were very friendly, humble and honest (a happy hour over charge that I was unaware of was returned) and our meals were served on contemporary glass plates. The word is that it can get very busy during breakfast and lunch (a non-biased testimony of how good the food really is!) Good variety and a few choice specialties on the menu. We were served tasty complementry tortilla chips over tender whole pinto beans and topped with white cheese. I had the 2 shredded taco combo plate plate with what looked like a gallon draft mug of Pacifico. The rice and beans were delicious and I could only finish one of the two huge (reminded me of al pastor) tacos. My wife had a big chicken taco on a lightly fried tortilla and said it was "the best she'd ever had" (and we've eaten a lot of Mexican food). The prices were very average and well worth paying. I had a good overall experience and at their price range deserve 5 stars. Definately worth trying...
My family has been coming here for years. The food is fresh and delicious and the customer service/ owners are so kind. Prices are good and they also have a fresh salsa bar (4+ different styles plus pickled veg)! Not sure why a previous review said their salsa wasn’t good because every time I have gone it is always fresh and fantastic! Call in your order to go and they have it ready in 10-15m or stop in and enjoy a cold beer while you wait for your food.
The food is very very good 🌶️ We will come back.
$3 tacos on Tuesday dang good. Legit street tacos packed with flavorful meat. Simple and delicious.
Food is really good and the service is on point. Everything was fresh. Definitely give it a try if you are looking for good Mexican food with a relaxed environment .
Just ordered a bean and cheese burrito from Romans and it is delicious! I like their salsa too! Great flavor. So happy I tried this place for the first time. Will be ordering again in the future.
Great service and always tasty 😁 Edit: Just want to add that we've been a few more times and the owner has always been super friendly and willing to answer any of my dumb questions, and his suggestions have always been great. I really recommend the pizza's here if you haven't tried them, they are worth it! I can't do spicy so he let's me switch the peppers for bell peppers instead.
Where do I even start at with this little spot for great Mexican dishes?! The food here is delicious! The staff is very kind & courteous and the atmosphere is great! I definitely give a 10/10 rating here to dine at or for even take out!
This restaurant looks so unassuming in its little strip mall. However, what looks like every hole in the wall Mexican joint hides a really great restaurant. Make sure to order the fresh chips, which arent really advertised but are the best chips I've ever had.
We were hungry for chilaquilas and decided to try Roman's Mexican Restaurant at 24401 Ridge Rte, Laguna Hills. So glad we did! They bring delicious warm chips with beans and good salsa to start. The chilaquilas and breakfast burrito were great! Wish they had a better coffee selection. Just bring your own and get the food

There is just something so welcoming and an overall sense of "family" when I visit. From a wonderful variety of made from scratch salsas and the staff is always ready to offer a suggestion. We live close and only go a few times a year (<10), but when we do we see the love and willingness to accommodate anybody of any age. Once we walked in there and they heard my son and I talking about how the super market had no good limes. They walked in to the back and handed us one and insisted it was a gift. I'm saying go, give them a try , and I hope you equally like the food and the people. I know I do.
I only tried a crispy taco on this first trip so not much to report on but it was tasty! I had the crispy shredded beef version. The meat tasted like my grandma's roast. It was juicy and perfectly seasoned and didn't pull out of the taco when I took a bite like so many shredded beef tacos do. A great crispy, fried taco! I did think the prices were a little high for what I would consider a fast food restaurant but it seems to be the norm these days.

The food is good. Their salsa’s are their high point. The yellow looking one is great. Is it worth waiting 20 min? No. This is a sit down and relax type lunch, not a grab and go during your lunch break.
one of the better joints in the area! I got a the asada Torta and it was good - not too bready, lots of flavor, and they use a cabbage mix instead of lettuce which i think works well for texture. their "medium" greensauce is good too!
Pleasantly surprised at my carne burrito at Roman’s. Had to get a quick to go order and head back on the road in the height of traffic. It’s a good 90 min from Laguna back over the mountain so I like a snack in the 90 min. Fat carne asada burrito con arrox and cilantro. The meat was charred n the flat top and had a great flavor. A bit salty but still Ok. Didn’t get to try the salsa since I was driving and eating but the burrito was legit. .

The tortas are not good No flavor no sauce dry. All bread. All you taste is the tomatoe. I ordered carne asada to get ground beef. The chips not fresh over cooked. Had to ask for hot salsa because I guess it was assumed I wanted mild. Very disappointed. The taco dry meat.

Not a real Mexican restaurant .the food isn't prepared with experience just someone who makes it from a book. Table was dirty. The menu was small choice and over priced. Kids working there. Should of guessed it would be bad cuz I was the only person eating there in the middle of the day. Pass. The place had a bad smell and it wasn't the food. Taco bell is better.
Paid $2 for a canned dr pepper is pretty annoying. The shrimp burrito was mostly rice with 8 smaller pieces of shrimp. the burrito was a reasonable size but i don't feel I got a decent value for my food. I won't be coming here again
