Tino & Marco Laigueglia Reviews
In early September, a slightly cloudy day, we arrive and decide this is the restaurant for lunch. They seat us on the beautiful outdoor terrace, with our hearts a stone's throw from the sea, perhaps even closer. We order two appetizers, including brandacujun, and for the main course, fried calamari and vegetables, and a splendid catch of the day with cherry tomatoes, Taggiasca olives, and capers. The wine list is good, with a focus on local produce, though a bit limited. Congratulations on the magnificent food; absolutely recommended.
I don't know where to begin when I pay tribute to the entire restaurant staff for a pleasant evening spent with elegant style, attention to detail, and tranquility. We dined on the beach, having booked a few days in advance at a premium. The dinner was wonderful; we started with appetizers, then moved on to main courses, and finished with desserts and liqueurs. The wine list was limited but had some interesting choices. The waiters were professional, courteous, and knew how to elicit a smile. The farewell and chat with the chef at the end of the evening was very welcome. The prices are reasonable, and considering everything we ate, the dishes were quite generous, served with a certain amount of care, and very, very good; there's nothing to complain about; in fact, I'd expect to find them in the Michelin guide. I can confidently say that after almost thirty years in Laigueglia, Tino e Marco is among the best restaurants in Laigueglia, if not the best. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes! Thank you all.
Excellent restaurant offering the option of dining right on the beach (for a 10% surcharge). The service is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is charming. The food is excellent, and the presentation is elegant. The only downside is the portions aren't particularly generous, especially considering the price.
We ate here for dinner and had a great experience. Staff were very friendly and understanding of the fact that we spoke little Italian. Pasta and fritto misto were delicious. Great setting overlooking the beach (also an option to dine directly on the beach). Would recommend!
For my partner (the Chef) and I, going to Laigueglia also means eating at this WONDERFUL restaurant. The Chef not only puts excellent fresh fish into his dishes, but also all his passion, talent, and, above all, his love for food. The wait staff was kind, friendly, and always fresh. The location is modern and youthful, and the signs displaying the various food items are simply brilliant. I recommend it wholeheartedly, and if you want to eat well, really well, and also have a laugh and truly have a great time, you just have to come and eat with these two brothers and their family.
Excellent food, reasonably priced. Service is very attentive, excellent. Position is very good, but somewhat crammed and with no view.
Located in the typical “budello”, creative and delicious cuisine, local fresh ingredients cooked with a touch of Southern taste. All antipasti, pasta with seafood and fish entrées are great. Even better when accompanied with their local PIGATO wine. Desserts are all homemade.
everything you want a place to eat well with good service and quality proposals in one of the most beautiful villages visited. Not to be missed. Good price.
Beachfront restaurant with a covered terrace, a must-have on windy evenings. You can also eat on the beach. Amazing mussels, decent brandacujun. Spaghetti with clams and artichokes is really good. It's a shame you have to order two portions, meaning you can't try anything else. Portions aren't generous, but they're adequate. Wine prices are excessive. Food prices are in line with the location. Staff are helpful and friendly. Definitely a place to try.
We'd been to this place before and had a great time: eating on the beach is truly beautiful, and the atmosphere is certainly charming. There was something positive this time too: the octopus appetizer was exceptional, truly well-prepared and tasty. Unfortunately, however, the rest of the experience wasn't up to par. While we were enjoying our appetizer, a staff member was scouring the beach right in front of the tables, slightly disrupting the atmosphere. The catch of the day was served without even telling us what fish it was, and the fried fish was decidedly too salty. The worst disappointment came at the end: we waited over an hour for the bill, which I had to ask for four times. When we entered the cash register, the manager seemed more concerned with saving paper—by not printing copies of the payments—than asking, "How was your evening?" No greeting, no courtesy, no interest: just a cold, "Put your card here." Sin !
We were invited, the location was nice, we dined on the beach, the dishes were nothing special, my Ligurian-style rabbit was average, the service staff was numerous and confused, the dishes didn't arrive together (there were 9 of us), wine was brought twice and not ordered, dishes were brought "in a rush," forcing two people to eat from the same plate... I'll leave out the rest... Oh, I forgot... Expensive!
1 out of 3 persons finished eating, while 1 was still waiting ! when going out of restaurant 3rd dish arrived. Very arrogant old lady, seemed to be boss, did not even feel accountable for destroying the dinner mood.
We were there because of the good reviews on Google but it turned out a huge disappointment. The service was very unfriendly, if there was any service. It felt like the staff was avoiding talking to us because we don’t speak Italian, even the basic polite gestures were omitted (no “buon appetito” when the food was served, taking our plates away without asking if we were finished, never asked if everything is alright, not care to ask if we want dessert, etc). In one word, we did not felt welcomed at all. And the food was disappointing. The ravioli tasted like supermarket quality and the fish, although fresh, is little in quantity. I don’t know about other restaurants in Laigueglia but for the price we paid (around 25 euros per person), we’ve had way better dining experiences in the Liguria region. That’s probably why we were so disappointed this time.
