Al Malò Lainate Reviews
A highly rated seafood restaurant, enhanced by a quaint and intimate setting that fosters a relaxing atmosphere. The ingredients are of excellent quality and are enhanced by attentive and well-executed cuisine. Kudos to the professional and friendly staff. The price is fully in line with the quality offered and the care taken in preparing the dishes. Reservations are also available through TheFork.
I've been to this restaurant twice, and both times I've been extremely satisfied. The restaurant is divided into two rooms: one inside and an outside veranda, both well-maintained and tastefully decorated. The service is attentive: the second time, the pierced girl who served us (unfortunately, we didn't ask her name) was truly exquisite. Seafood, of course, reigns supreme at this restaurant. Having been twice in the space of a few months, I found the menu the same, with just a couple of variations and the daily specials. An amuse-bouche is always offered while you wait. I've tried appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Perhaps my least favorite of all the dishes was the seafood salad: good, with a hint of celery that makes it very fresh, but not memorable. The two first courses, however, were excellent: the paccheri with artichokes in two textures and mussels, and the linguine scarpaniello (very generous portions). As for the main courses, the one that most impressed me was the beetroot-marinated salmon with squid ink chips. To finish, I recommend the excellent nougat parfait. Given that seafood restaurants (the good ones) are expensive because the ingredients are expensive, the prices here are probably medium to high. However, if you book a little in advance, it's easy to take advantage of some deals on the popular booking app. A big plus: last time, they took a bit longer with the service, and to apologize for the mix-up, they offered us dessert, without us even complaining. This doesn't happen at all restaurants, quite the opposite. We'll definitely be back, perhaps checking out the menu first to see if there's anything new and tasty.
An extremely positive experience, with a refined and welcoming atmosphere and friendly, attentive staff. Very good dishes with just the right portions, not too large to make it difficult to finish, but not too small either. Ideal for a quiet evening enjoying good seafood. Highly recommended.
A quaint, well-kept location. The evening started off very quietly, but then it got a bit chaotic when the place was full. The two girls are very busy, courteous, and very sweet; tending to all the tables alone is a lot of work. We were greeted with a seaweed fritter, and the whole dinner was delicious. The prices are a bit high, but the dishes were extremely good. The wine selection also deserves a mention. We booked through a popular app and received a discount.
Friendly staff. Very nice food.
A seafood restaurant in a very intimate setting. All the dishes we tried were excellently cooked, using high-quality raw ingredients (especially oysters, razor clams, and red shrimp). The fried food was crispy and not at all greasy; the only dish that was a little underdone was the grilled fish, which was a bit overcooked. The creamed cod with porcini mushrooms was a standout dish. We washed it down with excellent prosecco, and the table service was truly professional. Prices were a bit high, but appropriate for the type of restaurant. I'll be back.
A little pearl of culinary arts hides in this beautifully decorated restaurant. The choice of ingredients for the appetizers as well as 1st piatti and 2nd piatti are very creative and coherent. In our opinion, the prices are a bit expensive but fair. The service is excellent and very polite. The selection of wines is adequate, with an emphasis on white wines. For us, the experience was so beautiful there that we will return on our next Italy trip.
Great fish food and outstanding service. Thank you for the great experience!
I've been to this restaurant, which I've tried before. Today, for a different kind of lunch, I took my wife to confirm my impressions of the restaurant. Beautiful location, well-maintained and elegant, but not overbearing enough to make you feel out of place. Definitely excellent cuisine. Basically, we ordered a full menu for one person, with the only exception of two desserts. The full menu included appetizer, first course, second course, glass of wine, dessert, and coffee. Quality: 10/Quantity: 6 for the second course, 8 for the first course, 10 for the appetizer and dessert. Good overall value: 8/10. By slightly increasing the quantity and slightly lowering the prices, you can get a 10/10.
I never expected such a gem on the outskirts of Milan, but Al Maló turned out to be a real discovery. It's a seafood restaurant, but it's decorated in a truly nautical style, yet not banal. Welcoming service from the start: young but very respectful people who definitely know how to treat customers. Well-paced courses and appropriate timing. But let's get to the point: the excellent seafood dishes we ate. The menu is anything but banal: creative dishes without too many flights of fancy, along with great classics that are beautifully showcased (the spaghetti with clams is incredible!). Value for money? Generous portions without being overbearing, medium-high prices (€45 per person with an appetizer, a main course, a glass of wine, water, and coffee), but quality comes at a price, and so does the service, so I highly recommend it for a truly respectable dinner with the freshest seafood. See you next time!
Awesome seafood culinary experience at the heart of Milan hinterland.
I had dinner with friends. The atmosphere was welcoming, soft, and the decor, with nautical details, was elegant without being overbearing. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. The food lived up to expectations. We were the last to leave 😀. The price was a little high, but it was appropriate for the quality of the dishes and the location. Thank you.
I had the pleasure of dining at this small restaurant, and I must say the location is truly enchanting, with an elegant, seaside ambiance. The staff was extremely kind and welcoming, making us feel immediately at ease. As for the food, I found it good, high-quality, and beautifully presented. The only thing that left me perplexed was the price, which I found a bit high for the portions and type of dishes. Although the experience was positive in many respects, I wasn't entirely convinced by the value for money.
Very flexible with kidz. Very nice setting. Excellent fishrestaurant!
We went last night with a reservation from TheFork. We had a great meal; everything was delicious. If it weren't for the intestines still in the fried shrimp, which I had to remove myself, which in my opinion brought the price down, for €22 everything should have been perfect; I would have given it 5 stars. As for the prices, I'd say €8 for a cover charge for two people is a bit too expensive, and €5 for a coffee is the same, but overall it's a small but nice place for a seafood dinner that seems to be of excellent quality. We'll be back to try something else.
