Domino's Lake Forest Reviews
Great chill coffee shop to give a try. Inside is theme-decorated but still chill to the point where I could stick around for a while getting some work done, study or chat. They sell a couple of items you get on your trips to from Hawaii like the Honolulu Cookie Company shortbread cookies or the chocolate covered macadamias. The staff are really friendly and helpful with suggestions for what they recommend and service is quick. They have a pretty good sized menu with seasonal coffee options I definitely want to try like the tiramisu latte, and a decent sized cafe menu of breakfast and baked items. I got the island latte as I seem to be drawn to the coconut and macadamia lattes lately. I would’ve to go for the Spanish latte but I have a rule against cinnamon in lattes from past experiences (I know I could have probably ask for it without the cinnamon but I can’t lol). It was good! Very nicely balanced and mixed, good flavors, would get again. Thanks!
I've found a new favorite coffee spot in Lake Forest! Kona Coffee District exceeded all expectations with their exceptional offerings and atmosphere. Their mocha frappe is absolutely divine - rich, perfectly balanced, and admittedly decadent enough to qualify as a breakfast dessert (but who's complaining?). Worth every calorie and perfect for treating yourself. The interior is gorgeously designed with warm wood tones, comfortable seating, and tasteful Hawaiian-inspired decor that creates a relaxing atmosphere you'll want to linger in. The ambiance is miles above your typical Starbucks - quieter, more sophisticated, and with actual character rather than corporate uniformity. Special shout-out to Tristan who provided exceptional service. His kindness and attentiveness made the experience even better. He took time to explain their specialty drinks and even recommended the perfect pastry pairing. If you're tired of the same old chain coffee experience, do yourself a favor and visit Kona Coffee District. It's refreshing to find a local spot that excels in both product quality and customer service!
The coffee was excellent, the latte art was amazing, and the bread was delicious too. I’d definitely recommend it!
Calm and laid back atmosphere. Not too loud. The baristas are friendly. Great coffee and the chocolate chip cookie is a must try.
Baristas where super friendly, cafe is very clean. They have AMAZING food options for breakfast and bakery. Free WiFi! Great remote working spot if you’re into that. I highly recommend the Hawaiian breakfast with sausage 🤭
Amazing hot chai latte! It made my day perfect, along with the excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!
Cozy, quiet place. Plenty of parking. Courteous staff. Above all, the best Italian Cappuccino outside of Italy!
They just opened recently and are only open until 2pm, so we've missed being able to come in to check them out. Finally made it in and we'll be back. My hubby and I already ate, so we just got a large Island Frappe with coconut milk to share. It's delicious. The food looks amazing and the staff was super friendly and helpful. The decor is nice too, very warm and inviting.
This coffee cafe is conveniently located to stops I made in the area during a recent planes, trains, and automobiles trip to SoCal. (Airport, Irvine Station, car rental) The Hawaiian Breakfast with Spam is legit! Authentic with furukake, pickled ginger, and prepared just right. My hot Mocha was just as all mochas should be... dominated by rich coffee flavor with just the right amount of dark chocolate and not overly sweet. The perfect balance. Kona Coffee District is added to the Go-To-Spot list for return visits!
I enjoy the coffee from this place. The manager and staff are incredibly friendly. The prices are very reasonable. The interior is well decorated with a Hawaiian theme.
Literally a place where you can grab coffee and just chill and relax. Friendliest baristas you can meet and the Spanish Latte's really good!
I stopped here for a coffee and a bite while charging my car. I had the 100% Kona Private Reserve pour over and an avocado toast. The Kona Private Reserve was full of flavor and came with a biscotti cookie. It was a bit pricier than a typical pour over, but not too much given that it's 100% Kona coffee. The avocado toast wowed me! The sourdough bread had a nice crisp, and the portion of the avocado was very generous. They drizzled something sweet (maybe honey or agave) on it with the chili flakes that added the perfect amount of flavor while still feeling healthy. I will make a point to stop at Kona Coffee District the next time I'm in town!
Stopped in and got the chipotle aioli turkey bacon sandwich which was sooo good! I also got a decaf caramel frappe which was delightful! Very nice staff, quick turnaround on food and drinks, and a chill atmosphere. Highly recommend!
This place is an absolute gem for coffee and brunch. I still can’t believe you can get a Spanish latte with this quality and flavor at this price — it’s honestly one of the best I’ve had. And the sourdough they use for the avocado toast? Truly the best of the best. Everything is fresh, well-balanced, and made with care. Highly recommend stopping by!
This is a great little coffee shop with a relaxing vibe and great drinks. I normally get the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, but also get the regular drop. It's a great place to meet up with friends and hang out. If you're looking for a great alternative to Starbucks, this is your spot!!
Consistently good quality, well crafted coffee drinks. Excellent and fast service. Lovely atmosphere. Their base coffee and espresso has a delicious roasted flavor, and even their specialty flavored drinks are never too sweet for that yummy Kona flavor to shine through. Prices are good compared to other local coffee spots. As an every day coffee buyer who will never go back to corporate chains, I highly recommend you stop by for a beverage and treat at your soonest opportunity.
Had a really great experience at Kona Coffee District The place has a cozy, relaxing vibe and a beautiful interior that makes it perfect to sit and enjoy your coffee The coffee quality is good, rich, and well prepared, with a nice variety of drinks and pastries to choose from Prices are reasonable for the quality, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’d come back to and recommend to coffee lovers. Thanks Lana for kind service and welcome ☕✨
We ordered the Spanish Latte and it was a great choice, definitely recommend! It was $6.50 for the drink. The overall interior was calming and a great place to get some work done. I gave it 3 stars because the signature drinks were listed at the corner of the coffee shop and the server wasn’t very friendly and helpful when it came to describing some of the drinks.
I regularly visit all Kona Coffee locations and go others at least once a week. This time, I ordered an easy ice latte at this branch. Without any warning, I noticed that $0.25 had been added to the regular price. When I asked why, they said it was because I asked for easy ice, and therefore they added more milk and coffee. This doesn’t make sense to me. I never asked them to add extra milk or coffee. If there’s a charge for easy ice, customers should be informed beforehand. If the point was to just put less ice, they could’ve simply done that and kept the usual amount of milk and coffee. This is a ridiculous policy and an illogical justification.
First of all, the menu is impossible to find. It's double sided with as many things as you'd find at a sit down restaurant, but it's not posted anywhere, and there's one little holder near the register. In order to get the menu you have to cut the line and then go find it. It's also not available on their website. The only way to figure out what to order on their site is to pretend like you're making a door dash order to see what they have. I ordered a cold brew drink and it was so sour and bitter I was unable to drink it. I visit a lot of small coffee shops because I like a good coffee, and this is the first time i've sent something back. I could not gag it down. I actually didn't want to deal with complaining so I just asked for some milk because there is no milk anywhere for the customers. The girl was nice enough to offer me something else so I ordered a latte, and it was bitter and burned. I drank a little bit and I threw it out because it was just awful. The first girl that helped me was nice. But the one that remade my drink made it very clear that she was irritated and mad. She gave me dirty looks, and when I said thank you with a big smile, she rolled her eyes and walked away. I'm such a huge supporter of mom and pop coffee places. I love a good strong coffee and i'm not even that picky, because I don't send things back. This coffee was absolutely not drinkable and having the menu be a wild goose chase was ridiculous. It's not hip, cool or aesthetic to make your menu that hard to find, especially when it's printed on almost black, with tiny white font, and you can't even see it on the counter.Unless you're standing right there. I hesitated to put a bad review but I wasted my money because it has good reviews. But it doesn't have that many reviews, and people don't want to waste their time and money.
