Mimi Garden serves some of the yummiest bao buns and other delicacies. When have been to the Lake Forest location twice and cannot wait to go again. The restaurant is clean and the wait staff are incredibly friendly. We have tried some different entres each visit and have loved everything we have had so far.

Fantastic little place that is cozy and quiet. It's upscale without the insane prices. It's great for anything from dates to meetings where you want to impress someone. The servers are extremely nice and attentive and the food there is amazing.

The dumplings were really juicy, even better than most traditional restaurants in taiwan! The service was phenomenal as well. Ulysses was our server, he made wonderful suggestions and was very quick and happy to serve.

This is an excellent spot for Chinese food which we will continue to return to. So far I've tried the garlic green beans, cucumber salad, sweet and sour chicken, chicken dumplings, pork and sticky rice dumpling, vermicelli cake chicken, chicken fried rice, and chocolate dumplings. I would recommend everything except I didn't love the sweet and sour chicken. Felt a little like chicken jerky in a few spots, but my husband didn't seem to mind. They provide an adorable kids plate with a piggie shaped bao, yakult, and some steamed broccoli. My kiddos really look forward to this. It's very quiet and small, but still kid friendly. The servers have been very friendly, but since it is small, sometimes you're waiting a bit for certain requests. It's an excellent dupe for DTF (and about half the price).

The portions, quality, and flavor are amazing each time I’ve been. I love the spicy wontons, it is not the type of spice level where it’s not enjoyable, but just the right amount. I also enjoy the fried rice for those who are looking for something outside of dumplings.

This place is pretty comparable to Din Tai Fung. It’s a small space, but the decor is very pretty and cute. I was able to try a couple items because they gave free samples and would actually order them next time. It was the black truffle shredded chicken and the soy noodle salad. It’s a simple menu and the ingredients and taste are delicious and fresh. The only thing I would say is the chocolate mochi is better at Din Tai Fung compared to here.

The restaurant was very elegantly decorated, but I did feel that the flamingos seemed out of place. Staff was both friendly and attentive. As part of the soft opening, we were treated to a complimentary sampler which included Black Truffle Shredded Chicken and Seaweed & Beancurd in Vinegar Dressing. They also threw in an order of Fish Dumplings. In addition we ordered the following dishes: - Pork Xiao Long Bao - Sticky Rice & Kurobuta Pork Shao Mai - Shrimp Wontons w/Spicy Sauce - Crispy Beef Rolls IMO the only miss was the Shrimp Wontons w/Spicy Sauce which I found to be too sweet for my liking. Everything else was fantastic and we enjoyed our overall dining experience. I believe this is Mimi Garden's second location and from the sound of things, they will be expanding quickly to other new locations soon!

The food was decent the service was horrible both servers were high as a kite took over 2 hours I ordered soup they bring it like refrigerator cold I asked could you heat it up and they all had nearly heart attacks because they didn't know how to heat it up I actually said how did you cook it? They had no answer I do not recommend this restaurant whatsoever they left dishes on the table we had the bus our own tables and put it next to us on an empty table just I think of the service was better it would be a better experience but not to my liking especially not for over $150 bill

There is absolutely NO service. Waited for half an hour, every staff is super busy. But half of the tables kept un-cleaned and nobody willing to talk to you.
