1501 Kitchen & Bar

I came to the Lake Mary Marriott for the last weekend before Christmas forwork. I was staying there for 4 days and the area was kind of slow so I decided to stay in at the hotel every night. Jenn the bartender just happened to be there every night that I was there. She was a wonderful, happy, festive, energetic bartender who entertained me my entire stay. I worked during the day but went down to 1501 every night. I had the scallops twice, the steak sandwich and the wings. All of them were amazing!! I highly recommend 1501 if you are staying at the hotel or in the area. If you are lucky enough to go in when Jenn is working, you are in for a treat!! Thank you Jenn!!

Was here for the weekend for Centeal Florida Bead Retreat. Jenn our server was amazing all weekend!! Always with a smile, obviously performing several jobs at a time. This lady rocks and was such a pleasure to engage with. Juan was warm and friendly also. My food was always tasty and drinks were enjoyable. Thanks for a wonderful weekend.

Really nice this place to stop and grab a bite to eat. Some friends of ours told us about it and we tried it out ourselves. Great choices and reasonable prices. The staff treated us really nice.

Chef Mance Cason provides supreme quality customer service! I highly recommend all to come and visit to support this local business! I ordered the soup of the day with olive 🫒 rolls.

Juan at the bar was amazing, and the food was great! Definitely recommend the flat bread and the skirt steak salad. The bar had a huge selection of bourbon and scotch.

Very good place. Nice atmosphere and great and fast service. Food was good but nothing special for the price. Example philly cheese steak good but not $19 dollors worth. Pretzel was very good, but not $14dollors worth. Get the message. A little overpriced. But worth checking out.

The food was delicious and picture perfect. The servers were spectacular and very friendly. Would definitely recommend if you are going to be around this hotel.

Fresh made to order organic foods. Minimum wait time on a busy day. Located in a nice area easy walking a nice atmosphere would return again. Old fashioned style sodas with unique flavors.

I would skip the $20 breakfast is sub par or comparable to the the FREE breakfast that you would receive at the Holiday Inn Express. The scrambled eggs were cold, dry and hard, the potatoes were cold.. 3 ⭐️ bc the Servers were nice and accommodating.

We were so disappointed by our experience here. We had a rare date night and thought the menu looked good so we made a reservation and drove about 30 minutes to dine here. Upon arrival we learned that the dining room is closed and has been since Covid. It doesn’t really make any sense and the atmosphere in the lobby area was not where we wanted to spend a lot of money and enjoy a night out. We had one drink while we were deciding what to do and the drinks were fine. However, there was a convention taking place in the hallway adjacent and people started to crowd the bar area. We ended up eating at one of the many restaurants within walking distance and had a wonderful meal.

I was chastised for using the coffee machine, normal coffee, nothing fancy because I was not a guest at the hotel, although we just paid 25 bucks a piece for a sub par, prettied up, normal old continental breakfast. The free kind at other hotels. Regardless, my 25 dollars for the buffet that had only 5 hot items, did not come with coffee. And if I was getting it from the wrong place, apologies, but the worker was rude, barely spoke English, and seemed passionate about chasing folks away from the "other" coffee machine. No explanation, just the same question louder each time: "What is your room number?" until I was embarrassed and walked away. Hopefully, he got all his frustration out on me, and other customers won't have to deal with it. Other than the modern look, clean lines for atmosphere, there was nothing else worth reporting. Food was ordinary and overpriced
