The Boat Tasting Room is a hidden gem in Lake Placid. We had stumbled across this place randomly while walking by on the sidewalk. Super glad we stopped. The beer, spirits, and wine are all fantastic - all inside a low-key boat shaped tasting room. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great drink and a cool atmosphere!

Great selection of drinks. We had the gin flight and it was great. Service was the friendliest we found in Lake Placid.

Great Brewery to just come and hang and relax! Atmosphere is very chill and relaxing!

Had an amazing time here! The drinks were spot-on, we tried the spiked hot chocolate, a hard cider, Adirondack cosmo, and a vodka flight, and every single one was delicious. The bartender was fantastic and truly made the experience even more enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!

Great tasting drinks, chill atmosphere, and very dog friendly. Exactly what we (and our two dogs) were looking for after a long hike. To make things better, the bartender was super friendly and informative. Definitely our new go-to spot in Lake Placid!

Nice little hidden gem. Stopped for a quick drink when in town. All the beer we had was great, service was excellent. Definitely a must stop when in Lake Placid.

Organic World Club

Great venue for tasting local spirits and an opportunity to try unique flavors not available everywhere. St Lawrence Spirits is the distillery that provides the spirits. The brewery is Wood Boat Brewery, Clayton, NY. From the 3 flights of whiskey, the Rue Knot whiskey was spectacular. The SLS Captains Flask Bourbon was also pretty great. Extra points for a specialty summer cocktail Trees Knees - a spin off bees knees but with maple syrup and the SLS Penet Square Gin. Overall, lots of interesting and unique options to explore for those with refined taste and passion for local flavors. And how fortunate that I randomly stumbled upon this place!

I didn't eat here but the bar service is fast and friendly! I appreciate the boat bar, which is beautiful, and the bar tender's knowledge of his beer menu!

Great hidden gem. We were here 3 times the week we were in town. Great drinks, great prices, even better service (Ana and Don were awesome). Recommend the whiskey flight, gin flight, or any of the beers or cocktails. We will be back on our next visit.

Great place for a group or for a couple! Big variety of spirits, wine and beer from the 1000 Islands region. Flights, cocktails, etc. Clean, real Chris-Craft boat as the bar. Gorgeous! Whiskey flight,vodka flight, and Adirondack Maple Old Fashioned recommended!

Wicked cool vibe. Great beer! Friendly staff! What more could you ask for? You'll be overwhelmed whether to go for a flight of beer, wine, liquor, cocktail...yes a cocktail flight! Or you can enjoy just a pint of beer, glass of wine, or mixed cocktail. They know how to serve the community by offering Bloody Mary's at 10 o'clock on the morning of Ironman, what every spectator needs! A must stop for your state buds.

Tom O’Leary was an amazing host. He described and gave detail to all the questions we had about the spirits and beers. It was an amazing experience. We learned so much and Tom made the experience even better. The drinks were amazing and honestly didn’t have anything we didn’t like. And went back for more the next day. Thanks Tom for making this be an amazing drop In experience and one we will share with everyone we know ! A must not miss place on Lake placid.

We had a microwedding in the area and had anyone that wanted to meet here for a couple of hours in between ceremony and dinner. The atmosphere was amazing, the drinks were amazing, and the bartender and manager were truly wonderful! The Boat really feels like it embodies the vibes and atmosphere of the town. We even swung by the next night again because the drinks were so good! Definitely something for everyone, we cannot recommend this place enough!

This place is the best! Great selection of drinks and super friendly staff. They have beer, wine, and in house spirits. My favorite is the vodka flight that comes with a mini vodka lemonade, vodka soda, and vodka cran! Will always stop in here on every trip to Lake Placid.

Stopped for a drink as we were walking around this beautiful town. Everything was great! The bar tender, Don I believe his name was is great! Not only is he very knowledgeable about the drinks but the town’s history as well. We ended up buying a bottle of just about everything we tried. Great spot, highly recommended!

We also ordered a wine flight and purchased a bottle of their River Rose. The bartender and owner were very friendly and it had a lovely, low key atmosphere. Spent a nice afternoon playing games and chatting. Wouldn’t say I was “wowed” by anything on this menu, but it was a great stop.

Cool place to stop in while walking town. The drinks were good and the boat inside is a fun design. Unfortunately bartender felt the need to share his extreme political views and opinions about current events out loud. Ruined the experience
