I really enjoy coming to Noah's on sloat. Customer service is wonderful with 4 of the employees. Bagels are delicious. Hats off to the Baker. And morning crew

A very pleasant experience! The girls who helped me with my order were super friendly and chatty, making me feel right at home. 😋 My Nova Lox sandwich was delicious! 😋 Highly recommend it! I was surprised to get a bag of chips with it, but I wish they had other options for sides. 🍟🤷‍♀️

An excellent bagel! Get there early in the day for the best selection. I got there once after 2 pm on a weekend and the selection was limited. Did the same thing a few weeks later and the selection was great! It's the luck of the draw. Great deal where you get a dozen bagels and two 8 oz tubs of cream cheese. Fresh lemonades were available the day I went through. It's hard to get a decent bagel on the West Coast. This comes darn close :-)

I guess it’s really hard to get the Jew out of me because Noah’s bagels 🥯 always sounds good on a hard morning and this morning is not even that hard! That I just experienced the best customer service you could imagine at a bagel shop. This is what I always say. Look me up on LinkedIn… leadership 🥇 1st! all comes down from the leaders your leader is standing there, making your bagels cleaning up the mess, giving customers the cup of coffee☕️, treating everybody equally, no matter who walks through the door , in my book, you’re a rockstar! 💫 🌟 🌹🍀🌊🍦🌎🛍️🌈❤️‍🔥🙌🏻👑 If you like a nice bagel, even though they were out of the Hallah, I’m coming back! ❤️ PS. Went early afternoon and out of Jalapeño cheese bagels. Staff nice enough to offer us to wait while baking new batch. We agreed to wait, and after they gave us a fresh bagel, the manager also gave us an additional bagel for our patience. That was really nice of her to do that. The workers were fast, and the bagels were good.

Amazing service from Aarushi! They were out of cinnamon sugar bagels, and when I mentioned it was for my daughter, Aarushi went out of her way to quickly make one fresh for us. Such a thoughtful and kind gesture — it really made our day!

Still our favorite bagels in SF. Tip: If you are ordering a box of bagels, it’s fine to order when you arrive…but if you are ordering anything else (sandwich, toasted bagel etc)…order ahead because there are always dozens of pick up orders…so there’s a long wait time.

It's a fine Noah's - staff is friendly and assertive, moving quickly to make your order ready for consumption in a very timely manner. They seem to handle rush hour crowds pretty well- still cranking out orders and working like a team, not getting flustered or slowing down... so kudos for that. Lots of bagel types available- I don't know what Noah's full offering looks like, but there's more here on the menu than the mini-Noah's in my neighborhood. I would give a 5-star rating, but there's no restroom on site and perhaps Noah's doesn't ever provide them for customers, I'm not sure... it was just awkward eating at Noah's and having to go next door to Chipotle w/out ordering and ask to use the facilities. But if you're there for the food/bagels/coffee, it's all good.

make sure you say it right, sometimes the swish of cream cheese they will understand it as no cream cheese, and you will get a bagel with cream cheese but a whole cheese! haha. However, I like coming here, they make your bagel fast fresh and it's a place where you don't feel the weird atmosphere. Nobody looks down on what you're wearing, you'll be treated the same incognito as everyone else. just make sure you pay then you won't be incognito

It's not New York and it's not the old Noah's when it was run by Noah, but it's still good and I like bagels. I've been going to this and other Noah's locations for decades, but I finally got their avocado bagel on an everything bagel. It was good, but upon reflection, I realize a bagel is not the best vehicle for avocado toast. The top was so flavorful, but the bottom was blander. I still enjoyed it, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

TLDR: serviceable bagels that have gotten much smaller but still tasty. We got an everything. Bagel with onion and chive cream cheese and a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese. The portions were a bit smaller than I remember but it is still tasty. The cold brew is also huge sized!

3/10/21. The staff were nice. The sandwich was tasty. 4/28/23: They microwaved my 🥯 bagel! What a sin! Bagels 🥯 should be toasted. My bagel sandwich 🥪 was not crispy 😕. It was spongy.

Dear Noah's NY Bagels Please, for the love of countless lives that are starving, if you accidentally made 2 of the same item but the customer only ordered 1, ask if the customer wants the second one before you toss it in the trash. It literally hurts me so much to watch a perfectly fine bagel sandwich being tossed in the trash before I even have the time to react just because they accidentally made 2 instead of 1. If you asked I'd gladly take it or even buy it for a discount. I'm honestly disappointed how indifferent y'all are about food waste.

Need to improve cutting bagels. Another Noah shop included plastic bags for storage but not here.

I can definitely see what other reviews meant about the customer service. I went for lunch and definitely did not feel welcome and was spoken to in a cold manner. However, the bagels and sandwich (turkey avocado club) I got were really good! The lemonade in the other hand was really concentrated and I had to throw it away after a few sips, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend that. I would come again for the food but hopefully the service will improve.

I haven't been here in a while, used to be one of my favorite places to get a bagel. The people working were nice, but the bagel itself was smaller than I remember, and it was a little burnt.

P

The service here is terrible all the time. The people who work here don't know anything about customer service. I only come back because I occasionally bring a bagel to work for my colleagues. otherwise, I would never return.

My experience here was about average with the wait and service. I ordered an avocado turkey club on a pretzel bagel and it was extremely peppered. I also ordered the chocolate chip coffee cake and it was very dry and bland. The cereal cheese pastry was good though. Other than that, I was not impressed.

The bagel itself is pretty good. Nothing really stands out but decent. But the price is ridiculously high. $7 for an egg and bacon bagel. Might not be visiting here again.

This is the second time I got some egg shells in my Texas Brisket. Please maintain quality control. Otherwise, nobody will come back. Try to create a positive vibe among your staff. They looked exhausted and stressed at 0730 in the morning. That will impact employee retention, job satisfaction and most importantly, food quality.

Just left there, looks like they were preparing and large order Nice!!! However since I only spent $8.34 I guess it was okay to totally ruin my order. Typically I'd go back and complain but you can't change stupid. My receipt is accurate so I gave them 1 stars for their share holders however i will never go back here again. My bagel was correct but shmear is wrong. I also asked for my coffee cake to be warmed up, that didn't happen. But the orange juice I was charged for was correct (that's another star) - oh yeah I grabbed it myself. Terrible terrible terrible! 2-stars great job Noah's.

L

The renovation doesn’t change the service, people seem always upset, system is often down and cash only, and most days they are out of things. Plus I am not sure about the inspections, but no a single person there wear a hairnet beside all of them having long messy hair! I have to toss my bagel after I saw them cutting it on half with the same knife they cut a bagel with salmon (and I am allergic) so I don’t think they are properly trained on food handling. While here waiting for my bagels, they have gotten 2 orders wrong already! Bagel and spreads are good thou so I will only use them for picking up bagels. I don’t think they can handle anything more complex than that in a safe way.

-Bagel tasted like a standard Noah's bagel (good). -Staff was unfriendly (weekday morning, but not during peak hours). -The pastries in the catering option disappointing. The pastries were threw haphazardly into a bag, smushing one other, with the butter/oils leaking through the bag. I felt embarrassed to bring it in to the group I was hosting.

I want to keep trying to come here, but the staff needs to be trained and supervised. Manager needs to step it up in all areas. Just watched while waiting 15 min for my order in a somewhat slow time. Bagels on the floor by the POS machines/staff, overflowing trash, 2 of the 3 coffee urns empty, most bagels not available and staff very zombie like to each customer. Manager, get your staff inspired, they deserve leadership for these young people's future. Pride in what you do!! Note: The team that was on at 10:00am on 2.7.2020.

This place has really been going downhill. There was a very fast manager/ lead that had good attention to detail. I haven't seen her in a while. This lead, Miss (a name i couldn't remember), took my order, bagel, muffin, and a cookie, and needed me to repeat each item after she inputted the previous. She's been here for years now. But that's not the issue. I received my bagel and spent 5min trying to make eye contact with any of the staff. And not only did they seem to not want to be bothered, Miss just moved from customer to customer even though i was standing right there. No wonder this is the worst rated Noah's bagel for 20mi. It's a shame. It isn't hard to get orders right and score over a 4.0 on Google maps. You actually have to provide bad service to get below a 4.0. But they do it here. Currently a 3.3. And it's mostly the service because they haven't gotten my order wrong very often. And everything is prepared correctly. So it's just service why this place is so poorly rated. The $5 in pastries wasn't worth me waiting more than 5min. Do better or this location is going to go the way of blockbuster.

I have never before experienced this level of rudeness as a customer. All of the staff were extremely rude, not one smiled and they all had a tone of impatience. Truly appalling.

E
E Pepin

Dear Owner, Have you visited the Sloat Blvd., SF store??? The staff is incredibly rude, the bagels window displays are completely empty, so you have to stretch your neck and look at the unappealing, old, worn bagel racks against the wall to see what minimal bagels are available. Thinly spread cream cheese on bagels which are sometimes sliced in half, depending on the laziness of staff is not worth it. Most of the time, the Everything bagels “are all gone.” I haven’t seen a pleasant smile from the staff in a long time!! I think my patronage has come to an abrupt end. After the poor reviews, you should seriously consider revamping your store, not just esthetically. Customers work hard for their money to spend it on poor quality products and service.

N
Nick Haste

They never have bagels! An entire bagel store that runs out of bagels by 9am on a Saturday? It's not a one time thing either, it happens all the time. And the staff gets annoyed when you ask when Will there be more like as a customer I'm supposed to drop off some more. Needs a "under new management" sign ASAP!

J
Jessica O'Gorman

I went in earlier today and the customer service was TERRIBLE! The two ladies in there seemed to be miserable and careless. The one who rang me up had a bad attitude. I ordered a bagel and was about to add a medium coffee but she cut me off and told me the total after just ordering the bagel. I then added the coffee and she glared at me, like it was an inconvenience to hand me an empty cup. While paying, the lady who rang me up took a huge deep breath, blowing it out in my face! I can't even describe how disgusted I was, I almost said something but held my tongue because I just wanted to leave. I am a very low-maintenance customer and never expect anything more than basic decency. This was a horrible experience and I will never be back and would never recommend to ANYONE!

D
Don

No kidding guys, This shop has a serious problem with customer service, The crew members are just plain "RUDE" If don't believe me just read other reviews for this place. Last week I got yelled at just because I asked for one of my bagels to be toasted for 10 secs and to ask for fat-free cream cheese. I won't be wasting my time or my money on this place ever again. They do have a business manager Robert B. that keeps replying to bad reviews with the assurance that everything will be all right. Guess what is even worse than before. Save yourself a bad time and Go to Pete's Coffee the do have everything you might want or need, Great fresh coffee, pastries, and above GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ATTITUDE!!!!! Have a great day.

R
Rachel Chen (May)

Register worker did NOT want to be there. She gave us attitude and as incredibly inefficient. The worker making the food was THE ONLY one making foor for at least 20 peoppe. He was also a white male wearing a black dreadlocks wig. He was moving fast, but producing nothing substantial or of quality. Honestly, will not be coming back. We ended up getting a refund on our food and left after waiting too long and running into our appointment. In all, not worth the price or the wait for that kind of service. If I could give it 0 or negative stars, I definitely would (Edited months later because I'm still baffled and needed time to process the whole interaction)

saek jiki

This morning was my 3rd visit in a past 2 month. I knew all of the staff are rude but I go there because I like their bagels. But today I almost laughed. as expected - why do they need to be that rude! It is almost py*c*ot*c - every staff had mad face, angry voice, throw each bagels, boxes, coffee cups. I think they all should leave if they don't like their job.

E
Erika M.

For this location and ALL the locations!! Bagels are the only things that are good at Noah's. If Safeway bagels & House of Bagels had decent bagels I'd shop there for sure! Prices are astronomical, worse than Starbucks!! Lines are ALWAYS SUPER long!! Customer service sucks! And now they close at 5 o'clock 7 days a week!!? I can understand on Sunday but every other day!? Unless you're there at 7 AM all the good flavors of bagels are sold out!! Who can go there after work during the week? Nobody!! You have to go on the weekends when it's a SUPER crowded or wake up @ 5:30 AM on the weekends so you can be there by 7 AM when they open. And ALL the stores ONLY have ONE cashier, so NO even if they had TWO registers ONLY would be used at ALL times because everyone else is making food anyways! Here's a TIP!! Have more than ONE register so 2 cashiers can make the line that's OUT the door move a tad better instead of at a SLUGS pace! 🐌🙄😡

This poor place is almost always pure chaos. Every so often, I'll try it out in hopes that a new manager has saved it, or that the duct-taped, rickety thing Noah's uses for their supply chain has been fixed. Never happens. The front-line employees take the beating, of course. They're the face of this terrible place, and they're doing their best against impossible odds. How stressful it must be to paste a smile on the insanity they have to work in every day. Even if you order ahead to "skip the line", you'll still be in the line. No distinction is made between an order made an hour before and the customer standing in line at the cash register. You'd spend less time hungry for bagels if you went next door to Lucky, bought the ingredients, drove home, googled the recipe, and made them yourself. Noah's Bagels on Sloat will forever be a mystery--how in the world can they stay in business? The answer is, of course, that the incredible demand for their food outweighs problems that would be fatal to any other business. Which leads to the obvious next question: how much money could that location make if it was helmed by competent supervision and management? They'd have to make bank deposits four times a day just to have somewhere to put all the cash.

E
Emmanuel Gaeta

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME As with many other reviews, I agree that the workers are far from the issues plaguing Noah’s. Perhaps at time there are human errors in the preparation of orders: wrong bagels, overly seasoned sandwiches, extremely sweet drinks, or simply forgetting bagels that were ordered. On the few rare occasions that I have decided to give this place another try I am met with the same disappointment. The workers cycle through this place like there’s no tomorrow, and honestly who could blame them? They receive improper training and are then left to their own demise to prepare food and deal with customers. I too wonder how this location has stayed open and active, raises a lot of eyebrows. You may be saying “just stop going there then if you don’t like it,” and you’re absolutely right.

J
Janet Lee

I was very dissatisfied with the service and the quality of the bagel sandwich. The employees are unfriendly and unwelcoming. The bagel was old and dry, the spinach inside was old and shriveled, I threw half of the sandwich away. I hope I don't get sick from eating the spinach unknowingly. This was/has been my favorite bagel store in the past but not sure if I'll ever go back again. Very dissapointed.

P
Patrick C

Bought 13 bagel deal on Monday today but they gave me 11 bagels and charged me 13 dollars. I did not count the bagel at the store believing there were enough bagels. Funny that I even tipped. I will never shop here again.

C

Every time I’m here is more than transactional because my kids love the bagel and staff are just curt. This time the lady up front misheard me getting a dozen rather than half a dozen and it was a simple mistake. When I inquired About it, quite unnecessarily rolled her eyes and toss my bagel box crosses counter. I was shocked to see this behavior and told her I’ll just take it all. Won’t be coming back for subpar bagels and consistent horrific services.

Almost everything from my order was wrong. Whoever worked on my order could not assemble a bagel sandwich properly. Chorizo Avocado Sunrise is the name of the sandwich and I got no avocado. I arrived at 5:45 to get breakfast for my family before leaving for work. The sign on the door says open at 5:30, but doors were locked. I nocked on the door. There was a man inside. He approached the door and looked at me, but then returned to the kitchen without saying anything. I continued to wait while a line of customers accumulated behind me. The man continued to check the door to see how many people were outside, but he did not let us in. I don’t know how late they actually opened, because I had to leave at 6:00. Not a place to get breakfast.

Nastiest ice chai tea latte I've ever had. They didn't even bother to mix it so thick chai tea stuck to the bottom and no matter how I tried to mix it, it was a disgusting sip every time. I also order a caramel machiatto , no caramel and ice cold milk not even steamed. What happened to this place?

3 cash registers, 6 employees yet only one working as a cashier. Resulted in a massive line that took forever. Makes no sense. You aren’t understaffed. Turn the other cash registers on.

I have never before experienced this level of rudeness as a customer. All of the staff were extremely rude, not one smiled and they all had a tone of impatience. Truly appalling.
