Bad business, bought new York peperoni pizza added mushroom and pineapple and extra cheese no peperoni was on it . Manager said it does not come with peperoni. Nothing he can do about it even though we bought it twice before. Very bad business never will go back
The new management is great, she's really turning things around as far as food quality of the pizza the overall attitude of the employees has even gone up. She treats everyone with dignity and respect. Will definitely be ordering from this location again.
Andrew was absolutely AMAZING!! Not only did he make my order perfectly, but he was the ONLY EMPLOYEE to show up on the ice day! He’s in there working hard with a smile on his face! That is dedication. What a friendly guy, I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Andrew for coming in when no one else did and being there to make me and my coworker’s lunch. YOU ROCK!!!
They seemed understaffed, but insanely capable!! There was one man and one woman working, and they were incredibly polite while also sticking to protocol. The man said they were traveling managers. That speaks volumes!!! They had no one to work and these two fine people made the best of what they had and kicked butt!!! The food was beyond standard. The service was quick and calm! Thank you so much for continuing to be my favorite pizza place!!!!! Rock on!! 🤙🏼
Papa John’s in Lakeway ALWAYS hits. Friendly staff, consistent product, and they are always on time. DJ, the general manager is a class act. I really appreciate the work they put in over there!
I need to applaud the couple of staff who are on shift this evening 1/26/26. Most restaurants were closed and they were slammed. They worked hard to serve the community despite less than ideal circumstances.

I had delivery tonight, and apparently my DoorDash driver was one that had been previously problematic. The store withheld my order from the driver, who tried to bully his way into a tip, but they let me know what was going on. Jason, the manager, canceled my order, but still made sure that my order was delivered to me. So, I still got fed and was refunded. I’ll definitely be ordering from them again, I just wish they didn’t source out their deliveries. Jason also called me to make sure my food was delivered. I’m very pleased with how they took care of things.
There is a valid reason that Papa’s Johns is an industry leader. The product is sensational and the service is world class. Papa John's Pizza is decent. I'm leaving this review because the folks working did a great job. We got our pizza super fast and it was made well.

Very disappointed at the quality of my pizza. Usually it’s really good. But this time it was Burnt around the edges. $25.00. Yeah. Go figure. No wonder this particular one gets 2.9 stars. Should be 2.00 stars.
ORDER WITH CAUTION - super unreliable! Tonight is LTHS 2021 Homecoming! I ordered 8 pizzas for the dance post party. I waited an hour before my order was cancelled by the restaurant. When I called them they said that they had to limit me to ONLY 2 14” pizzas! Will never order from this place again! Good riddance!
The manager, Andrew, is one of the worst folks I’ve ever dealt with. He should be fired. The way he talked down to my wife when they didn’t deliver any pizza that we ordered, over $150 worth. Not very happy with them and I don NOT do reviews but when you talk to my family the way this guy talked down to my wife, I have to write a respond. We’ve lived here and had a house here for a couple decades and we will make sure to let everybody know here in Lakeway of the experience we’ve had. We will never go back to this Papa John’s ever. The rudest people in the small town that we live in. I’m glad we have our local operators here in town and let’s support those folks. Do not buy from Papa Johns in Lakeway. We don’t need people like that.
Ordered two pizza's this evening for delivery. Two hours later no pizza and no delivery. Called in and was told they were busy but my order had indeed gone out and was in route to me. After another 30 min. called back in and they told us it had not even made it in a delivery car and it was still sitting in the store. Why lie to us and tell us it was in route when you knew it was sitting in the store? I think that is the part of this that is the most unsettling. As far as staffing and being swamped this evening, this store has been open for more than a year and likely had the same sales cycle and volume as last year. Was offered a 50% off coupon after having to cancel my order- they send me 50% off promotional texts once a week- so that was a slap in the face after waiting 2.5 hours and then not getting any pizza that my kids were waiting all night for.
ZERO stars. Waited over an hour and was MISSING A PIZZA upon delivery. They use Door Dash for delivery and they were no help - told me to call the store. I waited on hold for more than 10 minutes .. then called a main number and waited again before being disconnected. Never spoke with anyone. HORRIBLE service, waste of money. Order somewhere else.
Last couple of orders, the pizzas arrived late and lukewarm. Just canceled my latest order after it was 30mins after estimated delivery time and still not out their door. They were waiting on delivery service to pick it up because they were so short of drivers. Will be ordering future pizzas from somewhere else.
Placed an order at 6pm and at 9 pm still have no pizza. We were told they must have delivered it to the wrong house with no apology and the explanation that it “happens ALL the time.” Brandon was incredibly rude and unhelpful and offered much more sarcasm and annoyance than help. Will not be ordering from this Papa John’s again.
Horrible Experience - order at 6pm, requested 745pm delivery, 8pm no pizza, was told it would be there any minute, 830pm same story, asked for a refund, 845pm was told it was delivered. Which it was not. Assistant manager was horribly inconsiderate, we were told pizza get delivered to the wrong addresses & happens all the time, maybe it’s at our neighbors. Done with this place! Will try to shop more local like Craig’Os or something.
I ordered 9 pizzas for my son Birthday's party and after 55 minutes of waiting, my order was canceled, obviously everyone on the parte went without eating!!!! And as I am reading the reviews, this is not the first time it happened!
Review is directed towards delivery not the store. They have outsourced delivery to doordash and it’s a disaster. Pizza delivered 1 hour after estimated time. Never again!
RUDE!! Went to pick up a doordash order, had to wait an extremely long time, the floor was filthy and as I was waiting another dasher walked in and showed the worker the order and the worker was extremely rude and proceeded to say “this is America. Speak English! Do you understand?” And then rambled on about people not speaking English HORRIBLE I WILL NEVER ORDER OR PICK UP DOOR DASH FROM HERE AGAIN
This is the worst papa John’s. They simply don’t answer the phone of fix anything they do wrong. 3 times they delivered the wrong order. They answer to no one, not even corporate.
Ordered their highly touted NY Style Pizza. When we picked up, it was cold, not cooked enough, and the cutting was 2” slices to 6” slices. Very poor! Upper management needs to look into this franchise. They are ruining your reputation.
We ordered pizza at 10:55. It is now 12:15and have not received our order. We have already paid for our pizza and they didn’t come. It’s after midnight so no one answers. On top of that nowhere is even open now. This has been an absolutely HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
So ordered and payed for extra sauce but never got it. Tried to call but got out on hold for over 30 min and never got to speak with a person. Just go to toss these guys are a joke and don’t deserve your business.
Second time I haven't received my pizza. Ordered at 6, said to arrive by 7 at 7:45 said delivered but wasn't. Horrible customer support - they can't find it, can't call store nor issue a refund - they ask me to fill a form. The store didn't answer, tried multiple times. After 20 mins finally did, kid was really nice and trying but place is understaffed. Last order I make. Especially for delivery.
Ordered online only to have DoorDash delivery it. Driver could not find my location. Food arrived cold and then items were missing. Driver just shrugged as he could not understand me. Tried to call location multiple times over 2 days and never could get anyone to speak with. Will never order again from this location.

Ordered Works, Meats & Tomato Alfredo all large size. We’ve had better frozen pizza than what we received. Hardly any cheese or toppings, or sauce overcooked, dry . Like eating a cardboard box with a little cheese on it. It has been awhile since we had Papa John’s but won’t buy again. Really the worst pizza we’ve ever had.
Ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and when they just gave us cheese we were told it was our problem and to deal with it rather than trying to fix it. Do not recommend and will not be back.
Charged my card $50 and I didn't even get my pizza delivered then went to store and it wasn't even open when on the website it says they are not only that but there were multiple people outside with the same issue as I had.
We got an offer for 50% as part of a promotion to prove their delivery service was superior. We put in the order and were told it would be about an hour. We called back 10 minutes later to add some ranch, and were then told it would be two hours because, "a lot more orders have come in." When I spoke with the manager, he told me I was already getting a huge discount and couldn't do anything more. The ironic thing was that the discount was to prove their 'awesome' delivery. We won't be calling them again in the future.
Scheduled an order 6 hours before delivery. It showed up an hour and a half late, and mangled. Management had zero accountability. Never again

He looked at the receipts, didn’t see my name and a pizza popped up on their screen and they decided to make that instead of helping me out. After about five minutes of waiting, I just said “Hey I’m only here to pick 4 sauce packets?” and I’m assuming the manager walked up to me and asked for the name. I told him the name of the order and he looked around not being able to find my receipt but then another worker that was there pulled my receipt out of the trashcan that was right in front of me. So I looked the guy that was helping me in the eye and said “so y’all just threw out my receipt?” and then he laughed, saying “it was just a weird order” on what planet does that justify throwing out someone’s order receipt.
Worst papa John's location I've ever experienced. Ordered a large 5 topping. It's like the just dumped all the toppings directly in the middle of the pizza, no attempt to distribute. Dominos has never failed me for chain pizza in Lakeway. Even better, go for Jersey Giant in Bee Cave. Not this disaster.

This time they called at 8:40 to say they’re already cleaning and can’t make anymore pizza because they are closing, several hours before they are scheduled to close. 1 star for 0% dependability In the future, be courteous enough to your customers to adjust your posted hours of operation to reflect your current capabilities. We shouldn’t have to call you hours before to see if today will be the day you close when you say you will.

I tried to ask how to work the app to get the deal, and she didn’t even know how to or would show me. She just stared at me the whole time while I was doing my order. Unsanitary handling and wrong order. Staff member prepped my pizza bare-handed, on the phone, with no handwashing before or after taking out trash; then boxed it and added sauces the same way. The health and inspection department need to visit this disgusting place!! I placed an online order and waited in my car outside the shop. The storefront is all glass, so I could see the prep station (though not the oven). The only employee on duty was on his phone the entire time. He took trash to the dumpster, came back, and immediately began preparing my pizza without washing his hands or putting on gloves and still on the phone. He handled ingredients with bare hands, touched multiple surfaces including his face and nose, placed the pizza in the oven, then boxed it and added sauces, all without handwashing. When I went in to pick up, I also discovered it was the wrong order (I requested a veggie and he gave me plain cheese). Given the hygiene concerns and the incorrect order, I left without taking the pizza to save myself Giardia & food poisoning. I hope management addresses food-safety training and quality control.

About 90% of the time, my pickup or delivery orders are wrong — and this last time was the final straw. Not only was half my delivery order incorrect, but after being on hold for 16 minutes to speak with someone about a re-delivery, the second attempt STILL came missing items — the same items that were wrong the first time. I had to call a second time, waited another 12 minutes, and was told by the manager (who said he was two weeks into the job) that he would adjust the charge and call me back to confirm. Guess what? No callback, no adjustment. I called back a third time, waited on hold for 14 minutes, and was finally told they couldn’t credit me back. Unbelievable. I’ll be filing a dispute with my credit card company. I used to think the Jester and Anderson Mill locations were disorganized, but they’re nothing compared to the mess at Lakeway. Avoid this location at all costs — poor service, constant mistakes, and zero accountability.

They messed up our order and when we called them to resolve the issue a rude Indian sounding guy tried arguing with us about what we ordered. We ordered a 6 piece plain wings and got an 8 piece garlic Parmesan which the person who we ordered this for can't eat garlic. Rude staff. Go elsewhere.

This was strange to me because my address is saved in the app. I called the store and spoke to Freddie and he said he can have another order out in less than 10 minutes. 45 minutes later, DoorDash calls me again and said they don't have my address and need to cancel the order again. By this time it is 8:50pm (almost 2 1/2 hours after I placed the initial order) on a school night and my kids had not eaten dinner. I called back to the store and spoke to Freddie and told him I needed a refund. For the next week, I kept calling and leaving a message for the GM because I still had not received my refund. I submitted feedback to corporate through the Papa John's website and they did respond quickly, however, they could not issue a refund and kept reaching out to the GM with no response as well. I ended up having to go into the store to receive my refund. I was promised that my next order would be completely taken care of due to all of the hassle. However, when I tried to place an order a few days later, they said all they could do was give me a free large, one topping pizza. I'm disappointed in you, Papa John's! I will never be ordering from you again!

Ehm, no, not this location, ever again, for me. Two times in a row attempting to overcharge me for mediocre pizza is enough for me. The second time was even worse because they were trying to charge me a different price from what was clearly printed on the box, and as I'm trying to point that out and pull up my online order I'm being yelled over, as if I'm the one that's wrong. Spare yourself this experience; two times of this back-to-back is no coincidence. The lesser shrewd and vigilant ppl amongst us will certainly be pinched by this establishment. I don't believe in coincidences

They charged me the full price even though it was over 2hrs late. They didn’t have a manger present but said he would call to refund my money. He never called and I never got a refund. I have been ordering from here for years. I will not order again.
This restaurant is not equipped to deliver, even though they advertise that they are. And then they don’t answer their phone when the order is late so that the customer can have the option to pick it up. Customer service is non existent. When pizza was 45 minutes late I went to pick it up. All the pizza I paid for was sitting there getting cold and no one would answer the phone. I had prepaid for my order which included a tip for the nonexistent driver. NEVER AGAIN
