Taco Bell Lakeway Reviews
We have to order tacos with no cheese for one kid, but the rest of us get tacos with cheese. This location gets it right every single time.
These guys are great!! I'm vegan and my daughter is vegetarian and they are always so helpful with mods and helpful suggestions. I'm a fan of the drive thru so not sure about inside. But the drive thru does very well!!
The $5 Chalupa Box was amazing, and be sure to upgrade the taco to a taco supreme. The staff at this location went above & beyond to make sure we enjoyed our meal. Thanks Debbie!
I was in there last week and I just had to say the cutest pregnant girl took my order and was all bubbly and smiles and just got hired there according to her and I would just like to say there's any reviews or anything I can do to help boost her up into the higher standards at her workplace I would do sit because she just makes it fun to be there she's fun to talk to and she makes the food even taste good I am a regular now because of her and even though the food is expensive on the pricey side I would still go there every 2 or 3 days throughout the week because of my regular head cashier
Ordered a meal deal D (beefy 5 layer) and a couple fritos burritos for lunch. My God these had to be the best taco bell burritos I've ever had. Hot and fresh and full of filling. They did forget my chips with the meal deal but I don't even care. Burritos were so good I'm still giving 5 stars.
This location is the last of a dying breed in clean Taco bells. Drive-thru line with super long because of the return of the Mexican pizza thank god! But overall this is a solid spot and I'll definitely be coming back.
I've dined in many a taco Bell, some in inner cities some on empty highways, but out of all the taco Bell's I have ever dined in this one was by far the cleanest. The service which was of an adequate speed and to be expected, was only halted but for a moment so the employee could wash their hands in the hand washing sink. Not only was the food tasty and nourishing to my body but filled a hole in my soul. while eating in the dining area I noticed that the majority of the staff were enjoying their time there and generally happy to be at work. even as I went up and ordered a second helping of food I was met with smiles and pleasant jeering as I was wearing a Green Bay Packers hoodie. 10 out of 10 would dine again.
Had a perfect experience tonight from this Taco Bell. I ordered Uber Eats delivery, because I have no car and no groceries ATM, and I have some hungry kids to feed. They got our order 100% correct, and it was even fresh and hot! I tried to call and give them a personal compliment, as I was so impressed! I think they were too busy to answer the phone probably. My boyfriend and I come here often late night, because we, too, are in the food industry and get off late. The employees here are super nice and down to earth, we always try to tip them in the drive thru at least a few dollars, just for being there and making our food. Yes, sometimes the hours are inconsistent, and sometimes the food isn't so fresh. But when u remember that these are human beings, working the night shift at Taco Bell, maybe u can be a little more forgiving! I sure don't want to do it! Thank you, Taco Bell Lakeway, for being your best self. We love you, please keep serving us late-night if you can! Ps I really love the G2 thank you
This was the nicest Taco Bell I've been to. The Cashier/drive thru worker was very polite and got my order out with diligence.
It’s just Taco Bell but it is delicious. Drive through service was fast and friendly
The older woman at the first window is the sweetest person! Every time I go here, she is so kind and always in a good mood. I can’t say the same for the other people that work here, but she is consistently an absolute pleasure to talk to! Sometimes I come back just in hopes to see her! She is a real gem!
since day one the personnel here have been top-notch with customer service. I have never been to, and highly doubt I ever will anywhere else, a Taco Bell quite like this one. They are setting the standard and I hope corporate takes notice.
Greg made our day! He answered our questions and gave us a memorable drive-thru experience that we’re still talking about! It’s so awesome to have a personable interaction, even if just for 2 minutes or less. Foods great, service was excellent!
We stopped here on New Yeaes eve for a quick bean burrito for my daughter and something small for myself. The staff here is what made this visit awesome. We ate inside and they even offered to make my son fries as he doesn't really like taco bell. You can tell they take great pride in what they do and they definitely made our day better!!! Cheers!
They get my order correct, quickly and efficiently. Customer service is great, and the employees are easy to conversate with. I've only ever had one real negative experience, were an employee got upset with me for having a large order while in the drive-through. That isolated incident aside, everything else has been thrilling.
A review about a Taco Bell? Let’s just say that this location deserves it! I live in the area and it’s always easy to get in and out of quickly. The food is standard Taco Bell, but it’s the service that brings me back. I’ve literally never been to a Taco Bell where every time I’ve stopped in...every one of the employees is exceptionally friendly and goes out of their way to assist you. Like I said, it’s Taco Bell, but the repeated great customer service is huge!
Used drive through. Super great performance of personnel!! They got my order right and even labeled!!
Ok so this place has gotten my order wrong twice, BUT they get 5 stars from me because they go above and beyond to make it right. They are so sweet. Not only were my orders replaced for free, but both times i was also given free cinnamon twists, and this time they sized up my drink and gave me coupons. I can’t say this is going to be everyone’s experience but I have always been extremely pleased and surprised with how they have treated me. I have never seen a fast food place have this much courtesy. Very lovely staff. Thank you to everyone there!
We went through the drive thru and the lady on the speaker was so polite and patient. The cashier dropped our card at payment, but was apologetic and worked to retrieve by almost hanging out the window. Everyone was so accommodating! Unfortunately our entire order was wrong when we got home so i had to go back, but even that experience was nice! They knew who I was as soon as I walked in. The manager came out, apologized, said he would remake everything and gave me a free drink. Overall, wonderful customer service.
Only things.. most all the tables were not wiped clean still had some food on them.
Food was hot and fresh. A lot of young people work there. Customer service was good. But they need to pay attention more to orders.
If I go to Taco Bell, I try to make sure I go to the Lakeway location. It’s clean and the employees are nice. On my most recent visit, I went inside this time and used the touch screen to order. It definitely helps. I had no idea they had jalapeños to add. I could take my time and exchange what I wanted and add more of something without feeling rushed. I set up our order and waited. I did notice there’s no hair nets in Taco Bell and it did worry me because while the girls had their hair pulled back, it was falling out of the pony tail holder. Some were playing around in the back and people were standing in the front waiting to order. Our order took about 10 minutes to get, no drinks handed to us until I went back over to ask. They did double up in our order. I suppose it was done as an apology for the wait. However, they were busy. Their drive thru began to get really busy around 3:30. Once the manager came back out to work with them, they began hustling faster. The food was good and I loved the options. Nice people in the back.
I stopped eating here because the food quality declined. I recently went back to a greatly improved restaurant. For the first ever I can honestly says it is good for fast food, fresh cold veggies, hot items hot, crunchy items crisp, and better portions. I'd have given them 5-stars but for the forth time in a row I still cannot get them to actually put extra onion on my combo burito! Still good though. Well done folks!
update 2/22/25: this location is literally 2 different experiences depending on if you go at night or during the day, the day time experience and manager completely redeemed the previous issue update 3/20/25: the only thing consistent here is them consistently forgetting to put things I ordered in the bag and I have to go around the drive through again. food is still good though and this issue is mainly at night. *update from this same order, got home and things STILL weren't in the bag that I missed when checking and items were wrong paid almost $5 for extra meat and cheese and barely got any at all, the day before I went and ordered the same thing and it was overflowing with meat and cheese. the consistency is pretty bad
Not bad. You'll almost never get light ice from the taco bell on 620 in Lakeway though no matter how you ask. Doesn't matter who serves you either. It's strange. They always give you a full cup of ice. I always ask and never get light ice. I think I'll go for zero ice from now on see how that works out.
Great new face lift for the Lake Travis location but the service has still been on a steady decline. Total bummer but why I have restricted choosing to eat here. Still the same old taco bell food though at least
What can I say? Its Taco Bell. Hit or miss. My taco had less tomato cores than usual, which you'd normally call a good thing but having more cores than tomatoes is a hallmark of the Taco Bell experience and I've grown nostalgic over it. At the end of the day, fast food restaurants should be exempt from Yelp reviews because everyone knows what to expect. From one day to the next, any location can be a few steps above or a few steps below merely adequate.
The staff is nice. Service tends to be a little slow on the lunch rush (they always seem to be short staffed). Since the election, the TVs are on Fox News most days. Believe what you want, but leave the Taco Bell Dinning room out of politics is my opinion. What happened to the Modern Family Reruns.
The experience at this Taco Bell as a walk-in customer is disappointing. Stuff are clearly focused on drive-thru with no set process to engage walk-in customers, set their expectations, and eventually serve them. An added frustration is the ordering kiosk does not include all of the fountain drink options, but the staff gets your drink due to covid-19 restrictions. You have to select a different one, get a staff member's attention, and notify them what drinks you actually want.
store is usually pleasant and a top performing TB. Came trough and the food we did received was tasty. Pregnant wife wanted a pinto and cheese. I called in because something missing has been a common thing now. I believe vance answered, i calmly asked what they could do and he hung up on me. I tried to call back multiple times in the next hr hoping that the line was busy or we got disconnected. They answered one but after that instead of vm it was busy. Guess they blocked my number. I was a gm of Chick fil a for 14 yrs, maybe we got paid more but people should still take care of people. If the store continues to suck the people in the area wont take it and they will shut you down. hope this finds you well without bitterness and you guys can resolve and build a more customer oriented team. Maybe the job fair can help you out.
Taco Bell is Taco Bell not much to add there. The thing I don't like is that they've setup these silly kiosks to order from inside the restaurant and there's nobody working the registers unless you flag them down. This is dehumanizing the local eatery to the point that you might as well have robots working the counter.
They're very limited on staff, so no inside is open, but drive thru is still pretty quick and convenient. If you're mad they take too long for food then you should apply to work there and help out.
Drive thru is always slow no matter what time you go. No sense of urgency. I understand it's tacos and burritos but the ingredients should be in the tortilla not in the paper wrapper when you open it. The is Taco Bell.
The food was not that great today it could have been that I showed up at 11:00 and opening I don't know what to par
The staff was very VERY awesome. They were unfortunately completely out of sauces. The kids were super bummed. I'm sure it's a "supply chain" issue. One of the guys had some stashed Diablo sauce which was fine for the adults but the little ones were l looking forward to that dang mild sauce. Again, must say the staff was very attentive.
I have been a regular customer Due to the fact my kids Are vegetarians. I do a lot of business with your store. Tonight I picked up an order which was part vegetarian and part meat. They put it all in one box , and put meat on everything. I'd spent the entire day at the hospital and promised I would bring dinner home. Thanks taco bell
Constantly closed early like **constantly.** I actually don't see a point of this location having posted hours at this point. Either do better or shut the location down so we can have an actually functioning late night resturant besides Whataburger. Also chips taste like straight brunt corn oil (imagine the smell of a high school gymnasium but as a chip). Idk what's up w their chips.
cashier filled my drink 2 inches from top and gave no sauces.she ignored me when I commented. Went back .her comment you didn't say anything about the drink earlier. Very RUDE
This place charges 70 cents for spicy ranch. That is not a side cup of spicy ranch, that is just to replace the sour cream that already comes in your taco. There are food places that charge you 50 cents for a side cup to go. That is acceptable. This Taco Bell is the perfect example of a business charging more just because they can.
Safest thing to eat are the bean, cheese and rice burritos with that nasty mayonnaisey , pastry rotten ranch stink sauce taken away and replacing it with the taco sauce or( red sauce) as they call it. Cumin flavored. And I ask them to grill the flour tortillas dark.
Insanely slow and rude service. Lately the food has been mediocre at best. This used to be a pretty good place but has been going downhill in quality and service over the past couple of years.
Should probably turn off online order capabilities when you aren’t honoring normal store hours. When people drive thru after confirming order and you say “sorry we have no food to make you” it’s a little too late. Then you have to go ask for refund etc…. Wouldn’t have commented unless this happened more than two times. Just saying folks. I appreciate you tho.
The staff are nice, but the place is always randomly closed. I made a mobile order at 7 PM on a Saturday, drove up there and nobody was there... long line of confused people at the drive thru. At least turn off mobile ordering if you decide not to work. And if u cant staff the place, try paying more... or just close up and let us get a jack in the box.
When I dine in EVERY TABLE IS DIRTY. Not just some or a couple. The people are ok. The food is ok (for a Taco Bell). Just clean a table now and then.
Coke machines were down and only had tea and agua frescas but refused to give refills on the agua frescas even though it was not your choice to order that. Also the order was wrong and staff was not friendly when told about it.
This location was understaffed and poorly run. We sat in drive thru for 30 min with no one in front of us to be helped, after ordering we did not get 2 burritos and a specialty burrito that we payed for and we spent 2hrs trying to contact this store to get money back or the rest of the order and they never picked up once so would I recommend this site taco bell: Not Unless you want to just give away money and your ready for a long wait for service. I give this taco bell site a 2 and a half and Do Not recommend.
Every time I get something from here it’s always wrong. I even ordered a DoorDash order hoping that my Dasher would check but I ended up with a completely different order.
It would be so cool to order food from this location and they get the order correct. Just one time would be nice
Went to Taco Bell today to just pick up 4 items I'm sat inside the store for about 20 minutes before asking if they had even started on my food and when they said they hadn't I went ahead and told them not to I would find some where else. I was really excited about eating to
Ordered 3 crunchy tacos, no lettuce, extra chese and got extra lettuce. Also ordered 2 soft tacos and only got one. This is a regular thing at this location. They won't answer their phone.
Food never ever looks like the pictures. Like the staff is afraid to put ingredients in the taco. Very disappointed. I tried coming here a few times and same same. Bad service and the food sucks. Hardly any ingredients in my burrito or tacos. Done coming here.
Lobby was closed for some reason Monday 12-10-18 with drive through only. I proceeded to the drive through and was going to eat in my vehicle since the inside was closed. As I got my order and parked to eat I noticed no plastic utensils in the bag. ( kinda hard to eat a Enchirito with your hands) I then got out of my truck to get a fork to the now locked lobby. Here we go again through drive through with a long line. As I got to the order board, I told them what happened and I got a "Well she's new" reply over the speaker. Shouldn't people be trained for this? This Taco Bell is broken! It needs new management and properly trained staff.
I give him a minor star but you can't. Absolutely the worst! Five layer burrito is only three layers and the taco shell taste it like plastic old and stale don't eat their people not unless you want to die from food poisoning
It's gone from decent to bad. Food is really hit or miss. Be sure to check your meals for all the ingredients. Drive thru is painfully slow. Don't provide any sauces and miss receipts. High staff turnover. Unfortunately the only one in this neighborhood.
I have been in the drive through lane for 20 minutes. Now, it is just an experiment to see how long it actually takes. Order in about 7 minutrs ago. 6 crunchy tacos. WTH.... Arrived at 6:17pm on September 28th 2018. Drove out of line, without food, at 6:53pm. Wow...bad management???
The worst customer service skills ever. NOT EVER COMING BACK. I feel like I just got scolded. Big black guy was rude. I bought 6 tacos, he said I could only have 10 packs of hot sauce. Forget this place!
Not enough help in this place to start off. You are Made to place your own order or go though the drive threw, I travel for work and eat tacobell quite often but never had to make my own order on their screen
They are not helpful and choose to argue instead of solving the problem. Very unprofessional establishment. If I see a certain price quoted on the menu. Do not expect me to pay a higher price. Honor what the customer sees. I am over the excuses. I will be contacting Taco Bell headquarters asap. Pathetic.
service is terrible, closed 30 minutes early multiple times, staff is rude and incompetent, take 15 minutes in drive thru at the least busy times. cant take simple orders or remember to put in sauce packets.
Lobby: Always Closed! Drive Through: Never open past Noon! Hey Taco Hell, move out so someone else can do better! Taco Bell is not a majority breakfast place.
I started to order but was asked multiple times (before I even finished speaking) if that was all. This is not the first time this has happened to me there. I told them never mind and left. I debated for a short while as to if I should call the manager to explain what happened so they could coach their employee. I started to tell him about the experience and before I was able to explain much he immediately interrupted me and said, "The reason she cut you off is because people have been complaining we don't ask if that is all." So he admitted that he knew (and was condoning) the rude behavior. I tried to explain to him that if a customer is still talking and is cut off while being asked "if that will be all" it makes the customer feel you don't want them to order anything. Customers expect to be asked that question IF they quit saying anything. Needless to say, he did not take my complaint seriously. What happened to customer service?
It was closed for remodeling. No signs. I pulled up and couldnt pull out because of construction vehicles.
Manager was absolutely rude and has no respect other employees are rude as well. Feel like I don’t have time to order they are always rushing you. The manager Micah wanted to fight and was cursing at me. That’s not someone I would running my store, I would want to keep customers not lose them.
If I could give 0 stars I would. They took everyone else's order in front and behind us. Told us they are closed. Was super rude stated I needed to come in and apply if anything. This is unacceptable for any Business. This taco bell should not be in Lakeway if they aren't open. We have other BETTER stores that could use this space. Also I asked to speak to a manager and was told she is. We went earlier as well and got told they were closed for 30 minutes. I understand understaffing is an issue, but not rude managers. Shows alot of character.
I frequent this location and it seems they get my order right only 50% of the time or my food is a mess when I get it. Tonight my food was cold, I asked for no tomatoes but there was a lot of tomatoes on my food and the girls working the drive thru were acting silly while taking my order. When I got to the window, they were laughing so much they couldn't really talk to me. Very unprofessional. I understand it's Taco Bell but there are other places I can spend my money when I am hungry. Tonight was just icing on the cake. I'll be going elsewhere from now on.
I usually like this location but today they had nobody working the front register. They were only taking care of the drive threw orders and nobody else. I ended up waiting 35 minutes to get my order after having to use the kiosk. I witnessed some people leaving after paying for their order and not getting their food because the wait was ridiculous.
Drive thru attendant at 11:30pm on 5/8/24 was a complete joker… horrible customer service skills, and refused to serve me 30 minutes before close???? I would love to be contacted and would love him to be reprimanded
Drive through girl is extremely rude, she won't even give you a recipt for your order and will tell you she threw it in the trash. Rushes you through the order and will barely gives any sauces. Worst customer service ever, if you dont like your job. Find another one. That simple. Its no one fault you work there.
I've tried to go to the Lakeway Taco Bell every day for the past week, and every time I pull in, the line is wrapped around the building... Even during "off" hours. Tonight, I decided to wait in the line. When I got to the order menu, the guy said "Just to let you know, I'm the only person working, and we prioritize DoorDash orders, so if you order, you'll be waiting in your car 35-40 minutes." I asked why DoorDash got priority, and he said "they just do, if you want food, order from DoorDash." I told him that I live out in Spicewood, and DoorDash doesn't deliver where I live. He said, "well, then you're going to need to wait 35-40 minutes, because I can't do it myself." This place is always horribly understaffed.
Sat in the drive through line not moving for 30 minutes and no one was in front of the guy trying to order. I got tired of just sitting there so I go inside to order. I’m standing there for like 10 minutes with this young girl that works there just looking at me not saying anything. Then finally one of the COOKS tells me to go to a kiosk when I’m ready. So I order at the kiosk and wait probably 20 more minutes and people that come in after me got their food and left and I didn’t order that much so I progressively get more angry and the guy who acknowledged me tells the manager that I’m getting angry and he says and I quote “ I don’t care!”
This place is understaffed and poorly ran. I don’t think it’s the employees fault due to the fact that they have hardly anyone working and they are fully packed with waiting customers. Management needs to do better and take care of this especially because this is a consistent issue. Nobody enjoys sitting here for 30 minutes whether you are inside in line or in the drive through waiting on some tacos.
The food was great but I absolutely hate kiosks to order food. To me it makes your cashiers rude and lazy and the comments I get from them piss me off and if it wasn't for the quality of the food I would not spend a dime here. I have eye problems and don't have glasses because I can't afford them. Probably why I eat at taco bell as well because its reasonable for my budget. Well decided to try again on the 31st of July and same song and dance. If you need to pay with cash go elsewhere as they still won't bother with the front register and force people to use the kiosk. I watched o e man get angry about this as he only had cash and while he sat at the register for 10 minutes finally an employee told him he needed to use the kiosk. Disgusted he just walked out. Then another tried the same thing and it was the same results except that he did use the kiosk and paid for.his food and after 15 minutes waiting he just walked out. I ordered 1 taco and that was about a 20 minute wait for that.
You know it's bad when the person taking thr orders tells you there is only 2 people working in the store and it's going to take then 15 to 20 minutes to make food. What are these managers doing these days
I normally don't write reviews unless the service is exceptionally good. This, however, was not the case. Upon entering the building, an employee yelled that they were not open to in store dining. That's fine, no need to yell. Then as I entered the drive through, his tone was carried into this interaction. I asked to place two separate orders and he snapped back saying only one at a time. I placed my order then patiently waited for him to take another order, as if I was a new car. He then asked me to pull forward, pay, and get back in line. I then pulled forward to ask him to cancel my order, as he hung outside the drive thru window exclaiming "I'm the only one here!". I can be sympathetic to that, but my polite demeanor was certainly not reciprocated. This experience was not the first rude encounter I have had with this particular employee. I definitely won't be going back.
If I could give it 0, I would. My husband has a weak spot for Taco Bell and occasionally I’ll drop through to grab him a treat after work. This location is continuously closed during business hours - sometimes as early at 8:30 pm. The staff are incredibly unprofessional. The orders are never correct. Last time I went through, my total was $10.91 so I gave her $20.91 expecting a 10 back… simple. I got like $9.22 and when I told her that was wrong, she told me there was no manager there to open the drawer to correct it. I’m no stickler for .78 but it’s the principle, guys. What the heck…?
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! Called in my order to pick up at 9:15pm, got to the store and the doors were locked and I sat in the drive thru for a half hour and got cold food. NEVER AGAIN WILL I CALL IN AN ORDER HERE.
Generally, I like Taco Bell. But there's something really wrong with this location. On multiple occasions, after waiting in the drive through line, I've been told that they're shutting down (in the middle of the day) and turned away. The last time this happened, I drove by a few minutes later and saw that they were serving new cars in the drive through. Not sure what's going on - it seems like they just turn away random customers. Have never experienced this at any other Taco Bell location.
Dine-in is closed 5 days out of the week, I ordered on the app and when I showed up at the drive-thru I’m informed that they are out of food that I ordered; no telling if I’ll get a refund. But I have to give this location credit for its consistency, it’s been steadily going downhill for months now. I’d be surprised if they’re able to remain in business through the summer.
I’ve had two Uber Eats orders come with missing and wrong items, but that doesn’t compare to tonight. I placed my order online for pickup at 7:30pm, when they close at 12am. I show up and doors locked and no one answering at the drive thru. Pull up to the window and the lady just tells me they are closed and not going to make my order and closes the window. I spent $24 and never received my food or a refund. Edit: I have reached out twice to Taco Bell's Contact Us and never received a response per the owner's response
I used to deliver to Doordash once in a while and I don't like when I received a request from this tacobell location.....The two times that I went there they messed up with the delivery order....waiting a long time and the last order they gave it to the wrong delivery driver wasting my time and doordash services is bad as well. Even the customer didn't know why in multiple times they have done the same with the orders that the person requests.....they gave it to another random person without asking first for ID or looking at car model......stop buying in fast foods like this......just horrible
The brunette girl attends in a very bad way, whenever I go she attends me reluctantly
Zero sense of urgency here. Its called fast food for a reason. Seems they just missed my order. People came and went after I placed my order. 15 minutes of standing around waiting after ordering and they finally asked me if I was waiting for my order. It then took another 15 minutes to make one single chicken quesadilla and a cheesy gordita crunch.
This location always gives me barely any food no matter what I order. Cantina bowl is always half empty. My taco has like three pieces of chicken in it
Came to Taco Bell in Lakeway expecting pick up order , left with a lesson in patience and invisibility. Waited 20 minutes with absolutely no acknowledgment while people who showed up after me were served like VIPs. No apology, no explanation—just watched my place in the universe slowly disappear. If ignoring customers is an Olympic sport, this location is taking gold. Laziness is on 7th sky.
Sat in the drive thru line for over 20 minutes, and was told they were out of beef, and chicken. What exactly would ya say, ya do here, Taco Bell?
I have a distinct voice, and the woman taking orders at the drive thru mimicked me and began mocking my voice... it was really bad and cruel. I was so hurt and shocked, and I felt embarrassed as I had friends in my car. I drove away, and passed the windows; I couldn't pay for this treatment and actually meet the person who was making fun of me. She made to feel bad about who I am. I have no plans to go back. It was really hurtful.
Told us in the drive through it would take at least 20 minutes to make the order?? Bc of low staff?? Gosh.. There was no one ahead of us. Got the vibe they just didnt want to take our order, but corporate needs to assist this store if there are so few employees. Gotta be something wrong with the work environment if youre this low staffed.. We only wanted two soft tacos. 🙄
If you want to deal with rude, incompetent, and aggressive staff when ordering lunch, while also not receiving the items that you paid for, look no further. But be warned, they will call you a liar and try to gaslight you when you ask for the mistake to be corrected. I'm not sure what training is required to move into a lead role inside of any given Taco Bell, but the current requirements are certainly lacking given the overall incompetent, aggressive, and extremely rude drive through supervisors that they currently have employed. It is obviously far too much to expect that the bare minimum is done on their teams end to ensure that the purchased food is put into the bag. It is absolutely my fault for trusting that this one part of their job can be done even 50% of the time, since it is almost every single time I order here that items are missing. This last time in particular was the most ridiculous and downright offensive of them all. I ordered, received my bag of food (I should have checked to ensure all items were accounted for, my mistake for trusting a simple task to be completed), and I drove home. Not surprisingly, and entire meal was missing out of the four that were ordered. I returned to this location where I spoke with a woman about my missing food, she proceeded to then walk away to speak with another younger woman at the drive through, only to return and flat out call me a liar to my face. Saying that she knows that I received the meal because the young woman at the window said she made sure it was in the bag. She then continued saying that even though she knows that I am lying, she's going to give me the food anyway even though she shouldn't. What an absolute class act, there obviously no chance that the young woman was lying to protect her job, which is understandable. However, I do not appreciate being called a liar to my face, especially when nearly every attempt to order food at this location ends the same way. Missing items. Obviously everyone has bad days, but this was absolutely ridiculous and there is a recurring theme of incompetence and aggression towards customers who ask for what they paid for.
I went back to claim my replacement Mexican pizza to make up for the one I got in May that was stale as all get out. I showed them the email I'd received and the indifferent young lady that spoke to me told me the manager that promised me the replacement, no longer worked there and "that was in May, it's August." So? I'm here NOW. It doesn't matter when I got screwed over! WTH Taco Bell!! Just because they can't seem to find and keep a decent manager isn't my problem. I want my Mexican pizza! Instead I received a heapin helpin of attitude along with way too many packs of hot sauce.
Picked up my order at the window without thoroughly checking everything. I noticed a smirk on the male at the Window. I drove off. Thankfully I parked and checked my meal. I noticed to be missing a Doritos Locos Taco. I made the line, received my Taco and AGAIN noticed the same individual with another SMIRK. To my surprise my Doritos Locos Taco was crushed. Why?! I paid what it costs for this product. Why must it be delivered in pieces?
First off, your staffing is horrible. This is a corporate or franchise problem, not an employee issue. I have lived in lakeway for over 2 years. Maybe 1x I have had a good experience here. Why do I go then? Idk. Because I’m a normal American that likes Taco Bell sometimes. Do I want to apply for a job at Taco Bell? No. I was an RGM at a taco bell for 6 years before I became a nurse. YUM! brands ...You need to send your corporate crew to this location and get to work. Your staff doesn’t wrap or package properly, weights are surely incorrect, food is not spread evenly in wrapped burritos, beef on one end, and so in and so forth. 10 items inside of one medium sized brown bag, not including sauce and packets. Chicken quesadilla is not cut all the way, and cut incorrectly, and the chicken is old, crusty and not the right amount for sure. I ordered chalupas and the grease was on every item wrapped. Yes chalupas are greasy, but how many items go in a bag? I can see the hand print, not grease, but Now, like my t items are smooshed by whoever is putting them in the bag. It just look a really not YUm! Brand. If you were getting shopped. Eww how embarrassing. But!! everything I ordered was there, and it doesn’t taste bad once I re-wrapped my burritos etc. . But 💯 you’re failing a core audit, without a doubt. I’m wondering in 2+ years if you’ve ever had a green audit? I see you’re hiring online, so I feel bad for staff. I know this area, people aren’t very friendly. And almost certainly they are getting treated poorly, which is the only reason I don’t call to complain, because I feel bad for them. I go through the drive through, after working long hours - and online page says one time for operation and go through drive through and staff says “sorry we are closed, “an hour and 15 minutes before closing, and you see cars just driving through as you lose $$. Inconsistent hours of a restaurant is the biggest cause to losing customers. Your hourly employees do not care at all about lost money. And you’re surely wasting product by not being consistent. Sure, there’s still customers - it’s Taco Bell. But I can’t tell you how many times I’ve chosen gas station tacos over the bell in the past 2 years, or went to a different location to ensure I got what I was craving. One time, the staff said to my kid - cant order a queserito because it’s online only. So you’re wanting to promote your online orders I get that, but you’re telling your customers no? That’s not something I did as a successful RGM. Or AGM. Hell, I was a shift lead working as the only manager rolling out breakfast because we had no salaries managers. Short staffed, still had to stay open and honor our hours. Have a business to run! And breakfast to roll out!! Yes it’s a pandemic, but if tiny children can go to school everyday regularly, and every other restaurant seems to have normal business hours in lakeway as posted, I think you guys can. And you need to go to the lakeway location and handle your YUM! brand. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk. And I’m sorry if you’re a manager or staff reading this at this location. My food tasted good, but you’re out Baja blast syrup, so you may wanna change the box. Keep up the good work. 😔P.S. this is the only bad review I have ever left on my google account. I don’t Karen people. Likeeee omg. I just wanna go to Taco Bell and get a beautifully wrapped burrito packaged correctly with fresh products, evenly spread and served without a bunch of lame issues that ruins my damn chest day!
