This place is more than just a hidden gem it’s a rooftop with an absolutely amazing view. The atmosphere is stunning, and the food left me speechless elegant, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The vibes are fancy yet cozy, and the pizza? Easily the best I’ve had in a long time. The only thing I didn’t love was the mocktail, but honestly, everything else was perfect. Highly recommend!

All I can say is WOW, This place is an amazing gem! The rooftop bar has great views of the city! The staff was accommodating and friendly. The inside is modern and stylish. The prices are very reasonable as well highly recommended. Too bad I was visiting from out of town because I would frequent this place!

Cocktails are great, yes. Never mind that though…the apps we had on our last visit are renting space in my head! Delicious. The menu had changed from our previous visit, not sure if seasonal menus are their thing. I am certain of one thing, this place will be a staple.

We visited The Exchange during a recent trip to Downtown Lancaster and LOVED IT! This 12th-floor rooftop spot inside the Marriott has the kind of panoramic views you don’t often see. Church steeples, historic rooftops, and rolling hills of Amish Country in the distance. We came right before sunset after a rainy day and scored a perfect seat by the window. The view was magical! The food is mostly small plates and pizza, but it was delicious. We loved the Calabrian Chili Wings (crispy with the perfect kick), the Crispy Baby Artichokes (huge portion, great aioli), and the Spicy Crab Bucatini (so much crab, cooked perfectly). Cocktails were creative. Try the Mezcolada and the Elixir #2! Our server Jozlyn was fantastic. Friendly, attentive, and knew the menu very well. Her pacing was perfect and she made great recommendations. It’s not cheap, but for the atmosphere, quality, and service, it’s totally worth it. Whether you're planning date night or just want drinks with a view, this is a must-do in Lancaster. 🔍 Search “The Exchange onbetterliving” for our full review!

We have come here now several times and the shareable foods and drinks have been fantastic. Issa our server was OUTSTANDING!!! We take great pride in sharing when we get excellent service and she was not only courteous but, shared her favorites for both foods and drinks. We are locals and love to bless locations that are great and the exchange has been a go too for us for date nights and times to hang with great friends. Make sure you have your ID/ license as they check all and if Issa is working ... request her. Can't wait to go again and the pizzas are wonderful as well.

I loved the views and vibes! The food was excellent! I think the portions are very generous. The fire pits are a great idea and give it a cozy feel. Loved every bit of my time there. Service etiquette was a bit lacking, nonetheless my little mishap was fixed promptly by the manager.

Went for the view, but will be going back for the food and drinks! I got the Flora Fiesta and the shrimp rolls, amazing! It's hard to get a truly New England style roll. Definitely recommend making reservations just to get a comfier table, but they have plenty of seating options. I can't wait to go back to try the pizza!

Spent a nice quiet Mothers Day alone and I enjoyed MY time out. Josh was very sweet. I was seated and served my food and drinks in a timely fashion. Can’t wait for my next visit!

Excellent food. Excellent drinks. Friendly service. Atmosphere is definitely different—most areas are couch height seating with small side tables to eat at. Not bad, but definitely not a traditional style seating area. Nice vibe. Overall, I will definitely return!

Would like to see a bigger menu option for food but the food they did have was exquisite! Such a nice rooftop bar area and outdoor seating. An experience you won't likely to forget.

New update as there's been a bit of a decline. We've come a few times since the last review and were quick in and out for drinks, but this is the first sit down in a bit. Our last visit was awesome, but noticing things have slowly ticked down each time. The food is still amazing and the servers and bartenders are on the spot and friendly, but this time around was off the mark for sure. First thing, it seemed like they were out of a bunch of stuff. Not terrible but it ended up being a sore spot particularly for me. Out of 3 bourbons so our waiter made the executive decision to make the old fashioned with a whiskey after my two picks and a third backup were all out. I'm not a liquor snob but not all whiskey is not bourbon and old fashionds are indeed made with bourbon. It wasn't a BAD drink, but it wasn't what I ordered. I drank and paid because we don't like waste. The second was ok. The next was waiting for mayonnaise that they had to get from downstairs because again, they were out of it. I'm fat like that, I do like it for fries. I gave it a bit but started the meal because it was getting cold. It came in time enough after for the second half. The kicker was the men's room sink . It didn't work. At all. So I wiped off my soapy hands and moved to the ADA bathroom to rinse and re-wash. I mentioned it to the staff and was met with a smile and "yea, we know"... So... A sign may be helpful? All in, not our favorite visit. There was a nice prosecco toast on the house since we were celebrating 13 married years which is why I haven't gone from 5 stars. They're trying still but I feel like lately things are kind of off from the top tier place we used to come for. Fried artichokes are great, wings were tasty. Burger was delicious if not just kind of underwhelming when compared to the presentation and ingredients of everything else on the menu. Spicy crab buccatini was very satisfying but not at all spicy says wifey. $160/ 2 ppl. Still a happy special day.

Great atmosphere one of the best roof top outdoor seating even in winter, they have many heat lamps and 2 nice sized fire tables they seat you at. Very nice! The service was fantastic! The menu is limited and changes often, known for their pizza. We had the mushroom pizza which was excellent, so was the wood fire roasted brie both very good. This is a great place for date night, not a place for the family or kids I'd say. They have a nice bar and inside is also very nice but would recommend outdoors, even when it's cold outside. Parking is in the garage attached to the Mariat hotel, which cost us $5 for the time we spent here.

Finally visited Exchange! First when we walked in we had to let security know our reservation because I’ve heard you cannot go up without it. The view was amazing as if I was in another state. We were seated in the indoor area which was fine. The menu didn’t have much to choose from but we got the GRILLED BEEF SKEWERS and they were amazing. They came medium rare just how i liked it. Bartender was nice overall nice place wish the memo offered more.

I’ve been a consistent visitor to The Exchange over the past couple of years and have generally enjoyed my experiences. However, there are a few things to keep in mind before heading there, especially on weekends: reservations are highly recommended. The restaurant tends to be slightly understaffed when fully occupied, which can result in longer wait times for those seeking quick service. Additionally, the prices are slightly on the higher side for the area, though the demand seems to justify the pricing. While The Exchange is ideal for intimate, one-on-one dinners due to its ambiance, drinks, and social atmosphere, it’s not the place to go if you're looking for a quick, inexpensive meal—think beef and potatoes. In terms of drinks, I do feel there’s room for improvement. Some cocktails fall short in terms of freshness and craftsmanship, particularly due to the use of house pre-mixes. Additionally, a few pieces of bar furniture could use some attention. These are small issues, but they do detract from an otherwise polished experience. On a positive note, the food remains consistently excellent. Every dish I’ve tried has been well-executed and crafted with care. A suggestion for the owners and management would be to ensure the staff are more cohesive when tasting and evaluating both food and drinks. I’d love to see more creativity and uniqueness in the offerings, rather than trying to cater to a less adventurous crowd. The Exchange has a lot of potential, and with a few adjustments, it deserves a higher rating than it currently holds.

The views alone make this spot worth visiting! Beautiful ourdoor seating with fire pits. Inside seating is very classy/sophisticated. Well made drinks. I've only had the margarita pizza to eat but it was very good! Wonderful service as well! Perfect spot for drinks with friebds/significant other. Highly recommend!

Absolutely gorgeous. The views are spectacular! Expensive drinks and moderated prices food. Which looked good. Great for a first date, conversate, to be alone and think, or have dinner with a group of friends or colleagues. This spot is like a piece of NYC (think on the standard) in the middle of Lancaster.

Food was really good. A must go restaurant for the Lancaster views while having a snack. Right in downtown Lancaster!

We loved our recent visit to These Exchange. It was a friend's idea to check it out and I'm glad I went along. If you are after a lovely rooftop atmosphere and fancy cocktails, you'll want to check this place out.

K
Kyley Klass

This place is such a cool find! You’re gonna want a reservation! And you definitely want to check it out! The food and cocktails are top tier! Our server was super kind and good! But, I do believe they are understaffed for the waitstaff though. For as much money as this place cost us it would be nice if they had more servers to guests better attention.

Patrick John Hopkins

They let us walk right in on a busy Friday evening without prior reservations! I was impressed with the layed back, yet casually classy atmosphere. Absolutely stunning view & responsive staff. Definitely making this a regular dive!

I grew up in New York so nothing will ever beat a genuine New York pizza, correctly seasoned. That being said, you wouldn't think blue cheese would work on a pizza but they executed it flawlessly. The other cheeses and the light charring on the crust were just perfect together. Delicious. Oh, and friendly staff and a great view from the balcony. 5 stars, well deserved.

I was visiting the area from Boston for a couple of days. This showed up as a place that was open later (than most?) on a Wednesday evening and the menu looked good so we decided to check it out. I was very impressed! The drinks were on point, the food was delicious! Happened to be at sunset and the view is great! I thought I might be under-dressed (tank, shorts and flippers) but I didn't feel too out of place. This was a Wednesday so ymmv.

beautiful skyline. I love the vibe here so much, This is the bar menu, but it suits me very well, healthy and special food...indoor high-end and gorgeous chandelier, comfortable sofa design...outdoor scenery is even more exquisite, stars in the sky, overlooking Lancaster center night view, brilliant lights …romantic and enjoyable. I will come again.

S

Food and atmosphere were good. We ordered 2 pizzas at the same time, but they were brought to us about 15 mins apart. I ended up waiting to eat mine until my friend received his. Mine was cold by that time.

Beautiful view of the city with great cocktails and tasty food. The cauliflower was amazing! It's more of a drink and small plate restaurant and perfect for a chill get-together. Staff was friendly and attentive and looking forward to going back!

This is one of the best spots in Lancaster to hang out and have a good view. Went here with an old friend and we had an amazing time. The street corn pizza was delicious! Make sure you have a reservation, they get busy!

Stopped in for some late night cocktails. Service was excellent from the moment we stepped off the elevator. Drinks were on point. Atmosphere was outstanding.

Unbelievable experience from the moment we entered! Met by welcoming staff! Shout out to Jocelyn THE BEST! Phenomenal drinks, food, atmosphere. The view is amazing! A must when in Lancaster!!!

Crab bucatini was amazing. Very unique dish. 8:45pm reservation on a Sunday. Was seated inside an outdoors were full. Great and fast service. For how aesthetically pleasing this place is, prices were cheap and serving sizes are huge compared to NYC

K

We had an engagement party dinner here with friends and it was lovely! The service was great, food and drinks pretty good as well. We had one issue with an appetizer not coming out but our server was quick to address the issue. Ambience was lovely as well. Will be returning when we're back in the area!

K
Karmin Kabrera

The food? Absolute banger. It's like each dish was aiming to win "Top Chef" or something. And the service? Lightning-fast. Didn't even get to that "just checking my phone" awkward phase before the food arrived. I'm giving it a solid four stars ‘cause the only place hotter than outside was, well, inside. Thought we'd escape the sun's wrath by dining in, but turns out, we entered a low-key sauna. Our plans for a breezy outdoor meal got swapped for an indoor sweat session. Despite the impromptu sauna vibes, the food and friendly staff nearly made up for it. I'll be back when the weather chills out and I can enjoy my meal without melting. Catch me there in sweater weather! 🍂

K
Kimberly Nicholas

Flavor wise the food is okay. Not extremely flavorful and not too many choices on the menu. Tastes okay though. Quality wise, the food is excellent. They use fresh mozzarella for their pizzas and their bao buns are cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is lovely especially if you ask for a seat for rooftop dining. Great place for a chill date night.

M
M A

Drinks were delicious! The menu isn't a full dinner menu. It's more like trendy finger foods. Only giving it four stars because I didn't realize it was not a full menu restaurant. This is a perfect place for a date to just kick back and enjoy eachothers company. Pricing is reasonable. Would definitely go back again.

M
Matthew Hilton

Came here for a romantic night out with my wife. The views were amazing of the Lancaster skyline and the ambiance was very upscale and classy. Menu had very tempting choices. Be warned that it is small dishes and not full meals. Would have gotten a 5 except they were out of multiple beers and menu items. Mind you, we did go two day after New Years so that may have been the issue. I'll change my review if it improves on upon return.

S
Sarah Franczak

Upmarket restaurant with city views and outdoor dining with fire pits for winter. Very friendly service and good food. Known for its cocktails, we weren't disappointed.

L
Lesley Casanas

Definitely dress nice to come here. This rooftop lounge is beautiful. I ordered the garlic bread and a mood swing cocktail. The garlic break was amazing but to be honest did not taste like garlic. It was more of a cheese bread but still it was really good. As for the the cocktail... it was okay. Not my favorite. But overall my experience was delightful here and the staff was very nice!

V
Visairi Contreras

The price was very affordable, but the service was not friendly at all, except when it came to paying. The entrance took more than 30 minutes. The place was very crowded, but it was hot.

S
Shaun French

Cool spot! The elevator was broken, so I had to take a tour through the building as well as some steps so that was that... awesome view tho and very chill. Food was a bit sparce and maybe a touch overpriced but good. if you reserve a table outside it is quite comfortable and worth your time!

R
Ray Weaver

Food serving sizes are tiny and incredibly overpriced. Drinks were fine and more in line with the area. The aesthetic and vibe are very upscale and the view is amazing, but the table service was mediocre, with minimal table service, a forgotten drink, and a snide comment from the host.

M
Mariah Vargas

Food and drinks were great and came out fast , our waiter was awesome but the only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was the host . Our reservations were at 5pm , we got there at 4:51pm and he made us wait more than three times while he took everyone upstairs before us . Then when he came back down to “come get us” he went and got another party first and took them in the elevator first before acknowledging us again . Other than that I enjoyed my time .

B
BK DUCHEZZ

My daughters and I went here for my birthday. Beautiful rooftop restaurant. The drinks were good. The ambience was nice. Service was good. The food was the only down side. I had the tuna tar tar and pizza and truffled fries. There wasn’t a wide selection. I would go again, however I won’t be dining here. I would recommend this establishment if you want to spend some money on drinks and a nice atmosphere.

P
Paulo Vitor

Gorgeous and beautifully decorated. You can get amazing pictures and drinks for sure. The waitress was really nice and helpful. We ordered 2 cocktails and one was amazing, the other one was disappointing. I know we should have checked the menu before going, but there wasn’t many food options. It’s more for drinks and appetizers. We ordered the Brussels sprouts and one pizza. The Brussels sprouts got to the table within 15 minutes, however the pizza took almost 40 minutes after they brought the first plate. Which means that we didn’t eat together. When the pizza arrived my partner had already eaten his Brussels sprouts. I understand that kitchen sometimes get busy, but it was not busy the day we went and the pizza was disappointing. Overall, I would come back just for pictures and a few drinks and eat somewhere else.

e
emily allen

Such a beautiful location but very poorly run. Should be first come first serve outside but they take reservations and no one shows up so it looks empty. Rude staff, worst old fashioned EVER. wasn't busy and took 15 min to get waited on at the very empty bar. Finally had to flag the bartender down who was less than thrilled to have to serve us. Dirty cleaning rags in the bathroom. Would return fir the view but otherwise a skip.

Z
Zi Ad

Definitely could have better service/management! Such a place should be neat 👌🏼 But unfortunately service is disappointing, also bad hygiene (they don't clean the patio nor the shine the glass)

A
Andrew Young

Great view, bad service. About a half hour after being seated, I had to ask another waitress if our waitress was still working. To be frank, she forgot about us. The wood fire pizzas were ok. The dough was great, but both pizzas lacked any flavor or seasoning to justify the price. I would not recommend getting food here. Great place for a night of drinks.

J
Jawilsy Rodriguez

I had a very disappointing dining experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in helping customers. We waited a long time just to be acknowledged, and our food took far longer than expected. I arrived at 9:30 PM for the Globe Experience, only to be told that the kitchen was already closed. This was extremely disappointing, especially since the experience is advertised as part of the dining attraction. There was no prior notice given online or upon booking that the kitchen would not be available at that time. If the kitchen closes earlier, that should be clearly communicated so guests can plan accordingly.

M
Mike Bonilla

My wife and I visited The Exchange at the Marriott in Downtown Lancaster for drinks and food, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. Our waitress accidentally spilled a drink all over me, it got on my leather jacket and boots, and she was not apologetic at all. She said a quick “sorry” and immediately started wiping the floor instead of checking if I was okay. What made it worse is that she wiped the floor with a rag and then turned around and tried to hand me a dirty rag to clean myself. The bartender said our drinks would be comped, but no one followed up, and no one came over to make sure we were okay. We did not except the drinks. For the type of establishment this is supposed to be, the service and care were very poor. We left right after. Definitely not the level of hospitality I would expect from a Marriott restaurant. Extremely disappointed in how we were treated.
