2/28/22 : another successful experience at Alvarez Authentic; the enchiladas were so delicious, the amount of love that they put into the tostada's and even down to the way they package their sauce's and to go containers. Such a great place ! Amazing tacos! Chicken is so juicy, and full of spicy flavor. Topped with tons of crunchy onion & cilantro. This is the second time I have gotten food from them in like 2 weeks. Fast service, great prices, and a big menu with lots of fantastic things to choose from. Tops a lot of spots you will eat at. Small business with BIG TASTE! I cannot wait to go back 🙂🙂🙂 huge shout-out to the people making this delicious food.

Place is run down. Only 3 tables available. Menu has tons of choices of Mexican and American food. The burrito was amazing!!!

Really good tacos. The tortilla shells had a nice grilled taste to them. The meats were all tasty. I had the Chicken, Chorizo and AL Pastor. All were great. I think AL Pastor was my favorite. Non of the meats were fatty or had grizzle. The Verde sauce was delicious, with a little heat. I'll go back to try the carnitas and the Chimichanga

This is my second time here. Very small inside so take it to go. Extremely delicious carne asada the tacos are great. I have personally been searching for a taco like this for a number of years, ever since tonys tacos closed out in lakeland. Thank you!!

My favorite and only place in TAMPA to go for Authentic flavorful beef & cheese is empanadas! Everything else is very good and reasonably priced! The energy and love that’s there is amazing! Hard to find small businesses like this.

This place was really good! Got tacos al pastor and it didn't disappoint! They also have a very large selection of aqua fresca. I had passion fruit and I will be getting pineapple tomorrow. Come check them out

Place looks a little run down on the outside but once you step in, it's homie. Smells very clean but not chemically. The owner is very nice. The cook is also very nice. The food was amazing!

Friendly staff, straight forward menu. Cartnitas are 5/5, fantastic. Al pastor is 3/5. Good flavor but just not quite the texture id prefer. Tacos are single layered corn, which can break, but makes for a lighter meal, more heavily favoring the meat, and the way it should be. Good size tacos as well. Table side green sauce is really flavorful, but not too hot.

Tried the red beef enchiladas and beef gorditas from here yesterday. Green salsa was top notch and perfect for my spicy palate. Over all the food was fresh both in apearence and in taste. Will defiantly visit this location more often. Didn't get a chance to dine in as the times are difficult. Had to order from outside the front door as I did not have a "slavemask" with me.
