This is my first time trying them and it was recommended by my friend so we decided to stop instead of getting Whataburger. Overall the portions are big and they actually put a decent amount of meat in the food. The price is up there meaning it is kind of pricey but it's worth the try and definitely would recommend.

You have to try this place. I got the street tacos, they come neatly wrapped up in foil and with several side items to top them with. Is you happen to get the quemado salsa, it is very good. The restaurant is always busy, and for good reason, it's that good!

I had not eaten all day and had a very long drive from Austin. Taco Palenque was highly recommended to me (I had sampled one location in San Antonio previously.) Not sure what the difference was, but this place was excellent. I ordered 3 tacos and they were so large I could only finish 2 and took 1 back to the hotel. I ordered the Pirata taco which was a very generous portion of delicious beef fajita meat with beans and cheese. Once I topped it with a generous amount of salsa verde and pico de gallo & cilantro it was truly delicious. The picadillo taco came out pipping hot and was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Again, I enhanced the taco with salsa and pico and it was excellent! I really loved the large salsa bar with an amazing selection of salsas and toppings to select from. I came in mid-afternoon and it was not very busy so my tacos arrived quickly. I was impressed with the number of staff that were very diligent in refreshing the salsa bar and making sure any spills were immediately cleaned up. That has to be a real challenge during busy times, but they did a great job. As I was only in Laredo one night, I promised myself another visit before leaving town. Having grown up in San Antonio, I realized this restaurant is what Taco Cabana has wanted to be all these years!

I get my breakfast taco fix here. I order ham and egg tacos and homemade tortillas de mais . They are so good and warm the tortilla alone gives the home vibe and the good cooking🤤props to the cooks and workers at Taco Palenque. Good Job and Thank You for feeding your veterans and good customer service. 👍👍👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Great fajitas, good Tex-Mex food Pirata Fajita Taco and Street Tacos are good. Salsas and Hibiscus water it's a must have.

Fast and friendly service, and the food was actually really good. I didn't know what to expect, but I was rather happy with the flavor of the food and with the portions provided. Precautionary measures during the Covid19 pandemic are actually satifying, although I wasn't able to get any hand sanitizer, which I believe is due to them providing it to the public before I got there. My family and I were happy with the service, food and overall experience. We will definitely be back.

I am super disappointed knowing this is the original and where it all started. The food was dry and not a good amount. I was excited to come back home to Laredo and taste real Mexican food.

Something so fast yet expensive haha might've gone to a restaurant with the wife instead 🤣 no problem just wasn't expecting the upsell so soon and i've seen the egg "temporary surcharge" goodluck on that. Im also suprised that they take long yet having many employees available.

Great Mexican theme food. Not entirely Mexican... Don't try the aguas frescas since they lack sugar most of the time or milk in the arroz con leche one. Best quick food are the #2 combo and defenetly the panchos. Careful since they tend to give the small size when you pay for the big one. In a very cold night I used the outdoor area and went to the truck while my family was outside in the play ground area. I grab the cellphone and handed over to my father to which then the security guard previously talking to someone in a truck refused my entry. They asked me if I was begging for money !!!

They are losing money here. Fsjita plate, 2lbs of lettuce and 4 slices of fajita for $16dlls. .definitely not what it used to be . Not coming back. Its not a matter of budget, its integrity in service. Reply: Businesses live for their customers, and if a customer is not satisfied, its not because of a budget, its because the quality/quantity received for his payment doesnt live up to the expectations. Judge for yourself. PD: add a vegan plate named "lettuce with fajita side" Good luck

I was really disappointed by the state of the restrooms. They were dirty enough that it made me uncomfortable about the restaurant’s overall commitment to cleanliness. I can’t speak to what happens in the kitchen, but the condition of the areas open to customers did not inspire confidence
