Wow, ordered half sandwich. Everything cooked to perfection. Onions, peppers, mushrooms, steak and cheese. Yum!Yum!

This is the only fast food, i will eat. They do a great job -- the cheese, meat and those hot & sweet pepper! When I'm craving something fast, this place hits the spot!

OMG!!!! Awesome. Very tiny hole in the wall, but best place for Philly Cheese Steaks. I have never had a Philly Cheese Steak like this one. Bread was soft and everything else was hot and very tasty. You will not be disappointed. Our son attends school in San Rafael. From now on the place we will go to every time we visit San Rafael. Staff was very friendly even though they were very busy. You see everyone from kids to older adults. Food we can all agree on.

I prefer the classic chicken cheese steak with extra cheese and the onions/pepper combo. Consistent, delicious comfort food.

The classic cheesesteak sandwhoch was really good. The staff was friendly. The only suggestion would be to paint/deep clean the interior. There are parts that look dirty but seems like a fresh coat of paint and maybe floor wax would help.

I absolutely love The Cheese Steak Shop! If I could ( afford) to eat it everyday I would . The food is always well prepared, fresh and delicious. The service is good. The gentlemen running the shop are friendly .And if there are any issues with your order the immediately resolve the problem no stress. I do suggest you check and double check b4 leaving EVERY TIME though. 🤣 that’s my lil joke with them but I really do check. They are great. The time I used the restroom it was clean. The place also is clean. They always play sports on the tv. Doesn’t bother me at all. I love it there. I suggest you give them a try. It has several schools kinda surrounding it and a laundry mat next door so lunchtime and right afterschool may be a little crowded or loud but I don’t mind. I dine in and I also take out. It is a little pricey.

I had never been to this specific location. My brother and I had the chance today- and left incredibly grateful with the cashier that was working. He was a male with shoulder length hair. All I can say, is that he NEEDS a raise! As for the comments that this place is messy, i witnessed some young adults/ maybe high schoolers leaving a huge mess inside and outside the store.

Personally this is my favorite cheese steak shop location in all of the Bay Area. food is reasonably priced, and cooked to cheesy goodness. service here is fast and staff is very welcoming and friendly. located in a snug corner off of magnolia Blvd if your ever in the mood for a cheese steak you won't be disappointed here.

This location had top notch staff. Not sure of cashiers name, but he was a Caucasian gentleman with long blondish hair, hope this vague description give him internal recognition. Immediate welcome on arrival. Great suggestive selling, non pushy, and authentic. Verified order. When not cashiering he was prebussing and bussing tables. Kitchen staff was professional and polite. Never had a bad sandwich from any other locations either. Not locations problem, more corporate... drink cups, especially for to go orders are underwhelming in size for price. Fine if you are in restaurant and wanting to refill. Kinda lame if on road or home.

This place has a Fabolous cheese steak at a reasonable price. It is usually busy but they work fast 15 minutes is the waiting to get your food. French fries are delicious, perfect for take out, sitting area is very small.

Menu says hoagie comes with lettuce and tomatoes. I asked for everything but didn't get either (just got onions and sweet peppers). Very small sandwich (I got the half size, but still). Not a lot of cheese on the "Philly Cheesesteak." The curly fries were good though. Great advertising; But I could make a better sandwich at home. Nice customer service.

This place needs a good cleaning. Windows and walls are very dirty. A year later it's still funky.. get these guys to clean the tables and mop thr floor this place is dirty as hell

Walked in to the Larkspur location and it was filthy. There were crumbs and used napkins on all of the tables and floors. The food came out very quick and the employees were very polite, but food was just mediocre. If you’re craving a good cheesesteak, I would look into a different place.

The restaurant was so filthy dirty, I couldn’t eat there. Drove from San Rafael because I was craving a Philly but that place clearly needs someone managing it.
