Rustic Bakery Larkspur Reviews
Nice cozy place to have coffee and pastries. Best almond croissant in bay area.
Fresh baked bread, delicious deli, good coffee, yummy sandwiches and pastries. What more can you ask for?
organic high quality food, great tasting, great staff, great experience
Oir favorite plave.for salads and sandwiches. So healthy, tasty and delicious!
Great little gem. They offer a variety of pastries and yummy desserts as well as almond milk lattes. Recently had the mediterranean salad. Good portions, and mostly, a cute place to grab lunch.
Best croissants outside of Paris. Superbly made. Either plain or with a wide choice of fillings. Made fresh every day of the week. The ham and cheese croissants are particularly spectacular and sell out relatively early in the day Consistently popular with the locals every day of the week which tells you something. They also have sandwiches, and other breakfast and lunch fare. Always pleasant staff, nice space, & a few tables outside so you can enjoy your food with your dog!
The food is delicious and the variety offers something for everyone . The staff is friendly and knowledgeable making great suggestions! The atmosphere is bright and cheerful. Great experience!
If you're a loaded $$$ pasty white person, be sure to use a use a few token Spanish words when you order, like olá and commo est ahhhhhahhhh, then immediately break to slow english with a Mexican accent and an inflection at the end of every sentance. And use your hands a lot as you order, because this helps out. And have a big stupid smile on your face as you feel good about yourself attempting to speak to "them" in their native tongue. You'll see this scene repeated several times at each visit to rustic bakery, and each episode is a LOL event. (The Greek yogurt and latte is great too)
Very good pastries. The organic "Marin Blend" coffee from Equator is mellow and non acidic. Atmosphere is cozy.
Wonderful pastries and coffee drinks, really flavorful, healthy dishes. A little pricey but still good value.
Great fresh baked breads and pastry. Good coffee with almond milk. Always busy. Love the brownies when I am not on a diet.
Great salads, huge portions. Also, very good pastries. Popular place, so at times difficult to find a place to sit.
Great tasting, healthy and fast service. Trade off is the price and the location in small/limited seating
Great food, great service! I really appreciate how dedicated Rustic Bakery is to its employees and customers in this challenging time to run a business
Great local bakery that is starting to take off. Quality pastry, coffee and salads all in a chill place to hang out.
So great to find a bakery that prioritizes organic and local ingredients! Delicious and great vibe.
This place is bomb has also they provide pastries and cookies for Muir woods hiking area national monument nearby also in Mill valley this place is amazing the manager is very nice the staff is excellent and the food delicious as well as the pastries which is the bakery is known for come visit.
My search for the best blueberry muffin is almost over. I give their muffins a 9/10. Nice local bakery that’s not too overpriced. They have fresh Quiche and awesome brownies.
Food was good but could use a little bit of more seasoning. Service was great, everyone was very friendly.
If you read many of my reviews you know I'm a bakery fan. Life is really about going from one bakery to another and seeing what each does best. My vote for Rustic is their quiche and salad. The baked goods are excellent. Up until today, I would have said that their croissant were not quite as good as Tartine or Arsicault Bakery, but today, all the baked goods and croissant were magnificent. Good coffee.
Chocolate Almond Heaven Croissant 🥐😋... Always a great selection, friendly services and delicious coffee.

Bravo, bravo, bravo... Rustic Bakery is just the best! Fantastic array of menu items and everything is perfect. Best breakfast burritos on the planet and their various salads and sandwiches are amazing. The food is always fresh and prepared perfectly. Our family LOVES Rustic Bakery!
Food very tasty and fresh. Love that they have equator coffee here. Asian chicken salad is my favorite. Myer lemon croissant is recommended. Service superb. Great value for portions. Super clean and comfortable.
To my taste, Rustic has the best scones in the world. Crunchy on the outside, moist on the inside. All the other pastries and breads are great too. It would be nice if they had a bike rack in front.
Great spot! Late's are delicious (although I wish they had a larger size). Their breakfast panini could be one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Marin. Good vibes all around. Come here a few times a month and will continue.
The most delicious croissant ever made. I look forward to try more things out of the menu. All the pastries look amazing. They have great coffee and tea too. Also a lunch menu with soup, salad and sandwiches. A bit crowded but quite fast.

Cool little bakery and nice ambience. Loud inside, cramped parking but that is Marin for you...
Same old Rustic. All very good, but not exceptional.
Very expressive, but food is good. Quick lunch 2 sandwiches 1 soft drink 1 cookie was almost $40, more with tip. I had better food for less money in San Rafael.
Delicious treats for breakfast. I've tried both breakfast sandwiches and had their blue bottle iced coffee. All natural and organic faire. The main downside is that they do not have WIFI. It's a coffee shop/bakery...WIFI is to be expected. Other than that, I can't wait to try their other baked treats and meals!
The food and coffee is always amazing and the atmosphere is pleasant. The service is often lacking due to language barriers.
Between my wife and me we ate four of the turkey baguettes and a mocha. The sandwiches were tasty and a cut above deli fare but certainly didn't justify a $10 price for each sandwich. A quaint place but don't bring your appetite.

I come here sometimes it’s very good histories and overrated for because it’s very good but also located and a very good place and mostly I will give it a fly but today I’ll give it a floor because the varieties of pastries you could choose from there are not a lot
Grilled Marin Melt Cheese sandwich was delicious. Orange cake was overly sweet for my taste. I arrived after noon and missed all the fresh pastries.
My favorite place to get Asian Chicken Salad. They also have delicious sandwiches, muffins, and some fun gift items like salad bowls made of bamboo. Staff is all friendly, fast, helpful. Try it!

Ok place. but expensive charges for pieces of pastries I could get elsewhere with the same taste
Beautiful bakery but carries only the one gluten free bakery item of scone. Irritating that it comes up consistently in searches for gluten-free bakery. Hoping to finally remember.
This place is nicer than a Starbucks, but it definitely has the feel of a chain. The sandwich was great, the pastries decent, and the drinks oddly lacking in flavor.

The food is great but the wait times at this location are not worth it. 30+ minutes to get a salad to go.
Its my 5th time visiting this location. I have to say their pastries are good but the service is not meeting up the expectations at all. I understand we always visited during their busy weekend morning time but the service was incredibly slow, unprofessional, and not friendly. They all looked tired and seemed not liking what they were doing, not very organized in their orders/services as well. I guess the bakery just needs to hire more people, train them better to get prepared for these during peak hours…? Just not giving a good impression on the rustic bakery to the customers….

I work next door and in the last few weeks their prices have gotten completely out of hand. I just paid $4 for a cup of coffee, and that supposedly included a Bring Your Own Cup discount. A grilled cheese sandwich costs $13 now.
Tried Rustic on one of those rare, rare trips of mine up to Marin, and, honestly, they're just one of your standard, run-of-the-mill bakeries. Given how uncommon it is for me to drive up this far, I picked up a: * Kouign Amann - Not nearly as good as some others I've had (admittedly, all the way up in Seattle), but decent, and much, much better after being toasted in an oven. * Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie - A bit crisp, and obviously fairly rich, but, surprisingly, not early as sweet as I would have expected: and this is a good thing! * Bear Claw - A very... okay, standard bear claw. Nothing unexpected either way. * Carrot Cake - Probably the best thing I had here: moist and flavorful, but a bit too light on the carrot flavor. * Blueberry Scone - I love scones, so, this was the most disappointing thing I picked up (albeit the most popular, since I got the last one). Dry, and very light on both the butter and blueberry flavors. 2.5 stars: if you live in the area, sure, drop by if you're craving some pastries. But, if you're not from around here, it's definitely not worth going out of your way to visit. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - There are a few handicap parking spaces in the dedicated lot, with plenty of accessible tables inside, and your standard height counter inside for ordering. Bathroom - Large, dedicated/private bathrooms, and perfectly accessible.

Forgot why I hesitated to come here for great quiche. Served it luke warm, finally on the 3rd try after waiting and waiting, it was hot. Complete lackadaisical attitude about service and cleanliness. Zero apologies. After asking/commenting about how dirty the counters were, salt, pepper and silverware, waiting another 10 minutes to have my table cleaned before I sat down, the waitress takes the same dirty cloth used while she was touching dirty dishes to wipe seasonings, my table and then proceed to touch my water bottle numerous times. No surfaces are being disinfected, none of the servers/cashiers are washing their hands before touching patrons food plates. Finally found my expensive coffee sitting on the counter with everyone else’s order getting cold. Even under normal circumstances, none of this is ok. Disappointed to say the least.
Ordered a panini with no meat to go. They brought it to me with meat. I sent it back. They brought it back to the kitchen, waited another 10 minutes. Gave me another sandwhich, took it home..had meat…frustrating
Ordered a salad on DoorDash today and when I opened it there was a big black hair deep in my salad.
Can’t place an order To-Go without a credit card. Won’t be back. Please make it easy to patronize your establishment.”
Unprofessional and unfriendly service. Lost my order which happens, no problem, but then they made me prove that I had paid for the order by showing them the receipt on my phone. The guy took my phone from me and saw that I had paid but said there was no order. I had ordered a few minutes earlier at the counter! Not online! There were only 4 customers in the bakery at 2:00 pm. I then had to say, well either I get a refund or you make the sandwich. He went in the back and brought someone to the counter who took care of it in the least friendly manner imaginable. No apology, no offer to comp my drink or even the wayward sandwich. This all took half an hour. Ridiculously bad service and completely unfriendly.
I went to this Rustic Bakery for the first and last time on Magnolia in Larkspur. I ordered a combination of soup and 1/2 sandwich for about $17 plus dollars. The Asian chicken soup was delicious with lots of chicken. As to my sandwich which had about 1.5 slices of thin turkey lettuce and a sauce. It was eating bread. Before I left I decided to get a box of cookies and asked one young man. He said $5.99 and when I got up to pay for the cookies,7.99 I was quoted. The young man was gone and the new cashier, asked me to wait. He came back $7.99. I decided to call the manager and tell him what happened. He seemed concerned and said that they have new staff and thanked me for letting him know. That was it and I believe he could of offered me a baked good the next time. However, there will be no next time.
