La ubicación del restaurante es muy buena, pleno centro. La comida riquísima, no sirven guarniciones grandes ni pequeñas, lo ideal. Pedimos arroz negro y puerros de primero y de segundo solomillo, presa y hamburguesa, muy recomendable. Los postres caseros y buenísimos, en especial el flan y la tarta de queso. El servicio muy familiar, agradable y trabajador. El menu de entre semana, 20€, es muy variado y el precio mas que justo, ideal para cualquier publico.

Nos recomendaron este restaurante y fue todo un acierto, comida tradicional, casera y muy buena. Las alubias con morcilla de León muy ricas y ración más que generosa, las carnes muy tiernas. Y de postre, nunca mejor dicho, la sorpresa de encontrar la opción de un postre casero sin lactosa, el flan de naranja y chocolate, riquísimo, también sin gluten; cuando en la mayoría de restaurantes hoy en día no se encuentra ni un postre para personas con alergias/intolerancias alimentarias este detalle es muy de agradecer.

Fuimos a comer el menú del día por 23€, buenas raciones y comida muy rica. El camarero fue muy amable de hecho me dejó probar un poco de un plato porque estaba indecisa sobre qué elegir. Nos fuimos muy llenos y contentos.

Had a reservation on a busy Saturday night. Had to wait a bit but that is to be expected. Staff was very friendly and helpful even though my Spanish was lacking. Great food, attentive servers, was a wonderful time. Sad I couldn't do other meals there, as I was a pilgrim and had to leave before breakfast/brunch.

I love stepping in here with the other half for a couple of cool, creamy beers. It's a lovely spot with a great ambience and nice chart music from the 80s and 90s playing in the background. The tapas are great as is the beer and the staff is made up of total professionals.

Fui a comer recientemente y salí con una sensación muy buena, sobre todo por la comida. Probé entrecot, alubias y una tarta de queso deliciosa, además de otros platos. Todo tenía muy buen sabor, pero si algo me sorprendió especialmente fue la fideuá y el arroz: realmente sabrosos y muy bien preparados. El local tiene el encanto de una taberna tradicional. Es un espacio algo estrecho, pero acogedor, de esos sitios donde te sientes a gusto en cuanto te sientas. El trato del personal fue amable y correcto en todo momento, acompañando bien la experiencia. Como único apunte, el menú me pareció algo caro para lo servido, aunque la calidad general era buena. En resumen, un lugar perfecto para disfrutar de platos con mucho sabor, especialmente si te gustan la fideuá y el arroz. Sin duda volvería para repetirlos.

Un restaurante en pleno centro de León. Tomamos menú del día, arroz, puerros, lasaña y la presa ibérica, de postre vasito de tarta de queso de cabra con mermelada, todo bien cocinado y rico. Las raciones bastante aceptables. El servicio fue rápido y el camarero fue atento. El ambiente agradable. A mi parecer el precio del menú del día un poco caro, pero por lo demás bastante correcto.

Probé el menú de día un Lunes. El servicio muy amable, rápido y atento. La comida estaba muy buena y traían cantidad suficiente. Sin embargo a pesar de que la comida era rica, de buena calidad y cantidad suficiente, considero que 20€ es un precio un poco elevado para un menú entresemana. Destacar la tarta de queso de cabra y melocotón de postre y el arroz negro. La salsa de la presa ibérica muy buena, sin embargo la hamburguesa estaba demasiado hecha la carne para mi gusto. El menú incluye pan, postre y vino.

Tienen menú del día a 22€ espectacular. Comí arroz negro con calamares y langostinos, que estaba de vicio y de segundo bacalao a la riojana . El señor que me atendió de 10 ,pendiente de todo y en todo momento. Algo que valoré mucho de la zona ,es que para comer te ponen botella grande de agua aunque vayas sol@ y no botellines ridículos como hacen en algunos sitios,que no te llegan a nada . El pan buenísimo y el postre, idem. Única pega, que como está muy cerquita de la catedral y demás sitios de interés, si comes afuera ,a veces ,la gente te pasa rozando la mesa y no es agradable,pero fui yo la que quiso comer afuera ,primero porque hacía mucho calor y se agradecía el fresquito de esa calle y segundo porque las calles empedradas del casco viejo dan gusto y es un lujo poder comer ahí .De todas las formas y a pesar de que trabajan con reservas, el camarero me ofreció comer dentro en el comedor, para que estuviera mas a gusto. ¿Volvería a este sitio? Por supuesto ,sin dudarlo . ¿Lo recomendaría? Pues sí,sin lugar a dudas . Muchas gracias por vuestro esmero y agilidad en el servicio.🙂 Os deseo mucha suerte. It took them a couple days to warm up to us and to correctly fill our order (my wife is native Spanish speaker) but after that it was superb. Our go-to place for breakfast every morning. Excellent coffee, toast and tortilla española. If you order a cafe con leche grande you will get a regular sized cup. A large one is called "....grande en vaso." Makes sense, but they don't always volunteer that information. Like I said, it took a couple days but after that they brought us anything we asked for as fast as they could. Another advantage is that Lumiere is attached to a hotel that hosts groups which can be seen gathered for breakfast in the adjacent dining room. So it's a cut above for cleanliness, lighting, and the staff's ability to handle a large pulse of customers appearing simultaneously with the locals streaming in from the front door (and there are many locals who are regulars.) Don't get me wrong, we love the rustic tapas bars with their slightly grunge ambience, little trash bins on the tables, etc...but for our first coffee in the morning this is a perfect change of pace. We hope to revisit on our next trip.

Overall a great dinner was had by all . Our starter was the prawns and mango sauce . Very tasty and tender . The Beef Curry was very tender and tasty , however there wasn’t much Curry flavour ? Bill was as expected except they charge per person for bread ? Unusual I reckon . I’d dine there again if in town .

Very good food, a bit on the pricier side but the interior and ambiance makes it worthwhile. Beautiful setting and the fireplace is a nice add-on that makes it cozy. Some dishes were great (e.g. the salmon) but some were just alright. The desserts were a bit too sweet for my taste. The wine selection is good and the service very attentive. I can recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or also for a date.

La comida está bien, con buen sabor, pero les falta presentación. El servicio excesivamente rápido para nosotros, con la sensación de que te están metiendo prisa todo el rato (agobiante). El camarero venía cada poco a recoger algo: que si un plato, un salero, una taza, una copa, luego otro plato... El ambiente, normal. El olor a comida según entras es importante, da la sensación de falta de ventilación. Es estrecho, así que si te toca una mesa grande cerca... te cuesta hablar. En resumen, comida rica pero ya. Para mi es importante estar relajada mientras como y aquí me sentí agobiada.

Restaurante muy céntrico, con buen menú del día, aunque algo caro por semana. De primero comimos arroz negro y la verdad que le faltaba algún trozo más de calamar, es básicamente un plato de arroz, con buen gusto. De segundo probamos el solomillo y era extraordinario, se desacia en la boca. También la hamburguesa (sin pan), algo seca, pero con buen sabor. Los postres son excelentes. En cuanto a la cantidad, bastante justito, sobre todo el primer plato.

Mixed experience overall. The venue itself is cozy and upscale, but unfortunately the service didn’t live up to the setting. The waitress was rude and made us feel rushed throughout the meal. When she brought the wrong dish, she raised her voice and insisted she had asked beforehand and knew we didn’t want that plate, which was not the case. The food was fine, but nothing exceptional..

Lumière does provide a beautiful interior design, the room is modernly decorated and we liked that the tables were far apart enough so that even loud speakers would be toned down by the size of the room. Service was quick but felt rushed all evening. Either a lot of attention when the dishes come out or you do not see the waiter for a while as he is attending other tables. Not bad, just did not have a flow compared to other establishments. Food was left and right: artichokes were OK, average tasting. The toasts with the tartare were great but the meat texture felt too beaten up into a sludge, not the texture we prefer for a tartare. Finally, the tuna tataki was very deceiving: there is another dish with red tuna on the menu however, for a reason we do not understand, they serve Albacore tuna as tataki which does work at all. The taste of albacore is way too strong and off putting. The person who ordered that dish did not finish it. Overall, not the upscale evening we thought. The design is stunning however the combination of rushed service and underwhelming dishes left us hungry for more. Average experience so 3/5. €160 for 4 persons. The staff overall was ok but one southern american girl was super rude taking our order, she was very unhelpful and impatient, if she was the only person attending our table we would have left a formal complaint but didnt want the rest of waiters to be dragged with her as the other two were relatively nice. This is a very nice pretensious space but the quality of your food doesnt live up to the level of the decor which goes to show where their priorities as a business lie. The only thing worst than the horrible atittude of the waitress and the absolutely average, bland and boring food (the prices are not reasonable for the low quality) is the horrible service this waitress gave us espcially when we asked for a simple switch (sweet potato fries for normal fries, which they offer both separately as snacks on the menu) and she didnt even go ask, she just said in a very snob tone that this place doesnt do that. Well nice work girlie because it’s a place I would NEVER recommend anyone, wost restaurant experience in Leon by far.

We dined there on Tuesday, August 5th, and Friday, August 8th! On our first visit, after a bottle of champagne, several dishes to share, and impeccable service, we left with a positive opinion of this restaurant! So we decided to return a second time this Friday, and what a surprise: between our main course and dessert, we usually smoke a cigarette. However, just like on Tuesday, we wanted to throw our cigarette in a trash can 20 meters away, and to our great surprise, we were caught by the "manager," who treated us like thieves, even though there had been no problem on Tuesday when we did the same thing. We'd barely gotten in when they brought us the bill, even though we hadn't finished our meal. In short, the server seemed embarrassed and explained that it was at the request of his manager... In short, we finished our desserts anyway, left a tip for the server who was incredible to us, but we will not return to your establishment despite the fact that we often come to visit our family. Perhaps I can suggest that you install an ashtray at the entrance in the future and not attack people when they respect the environment and do not throw their cigarettes in front of your establishment.
