Hicimos una parada para tomar un vermouth y anchoas muy muy ricas. Nos trataron muy bien, estubimos en la terraza.

Hemos podido disfrutar varias veces para cenar en grupo y sencillamente pidas lo que pidas la calidad de los platos y la elaboración es perfecta! Hoy hemos decidido comer la paella ya que nunca habíamos comido al mediodía, y la calidad de nuevo excelente. El trato y servicio también maravilloso!!!! Totalmente recomendable!!!

Un lugar donde comer bien (recomendamos la parrillada de marisco), con encanto y servicio amable. No es una trampa para turistas por lo que os atenderán genial. Había leído algunos comentarios previamente con malas experiencias y la verdad es que no ha sido para nada nuestro caso. Hay parking gratis en la calle de sobra (19 de agosto). Volveremos.

Arroz riquísimo. Pedimos un arroz negro y un arroz de marisco. El personal fue súper amable y nos ofrecieron soluciones aunque fuimos tarde. La camarera que nos atendió fue majísima. Volvería sin dudarlo.

Nos recomendaron este restaurante en el puerto de l’Escala y allí ke fuimos. Nos recibió la propietaria muy amable y atenta . Después de unos mejillones para picar nos pusimos a mirar la carta mas detenidamente, una carta extensa con entrantes, pescados, arroces y carnes. Nos decantamos por el pesacado pues estabamos en el puerto. Todo estaba buenísimo y una cantidad correcta. Disfrutemos de un trato excepxional por parte de los trabajadores atentos y simpáticos. Simplemente volveremos y lo recomendamos! Mejor reservar pues siempre está lleno, por algo será 😉

El mejor restaurante de la Escala. Trato sensacional. Comimos anchoas,croquetas,gambas al ajillo,unas tallarinas,y para rematar una mariscada! Todo espectacularmente bueno. Felicidades!

La Clota fulfils many clichés in the most positive sense, but at the same time knows how to surprise. This is also reflected in the mixed crowd. You'll find the 60-year-old son with his 80-year-old dad in tow for lunch, young couples who seem to be exploring the world of upscale cuisine for the first time, families with children and well-travelled eaters like us. If you look at the faces of the guests, they all seem to share something: a big smile. No wonder, after all, at La Clota they cook something for (almost) everyone. Down-to-earth cuisine without exaggerated chi chi; the fish dishes convince with a lot of their own flavour without over-seasoning and puristic presentation. Together with the wonderfully inviting house, a tasteful place for culinary delights, with outdoor dining not far from the harbour area of La Escala, and the engagingly beautiful surroundings, La Clota leaves hardly anything to be desired - at any time of year. Our SUMMARY: Good cuisine, an impressive range of dishes, an extremely charming setting. You can hardly go wrong with a visit to La Clota, nestled in the small harbour idyll. Particularly noteworthy is the always friendly service, which wordlessly takes care of many things imperceptibly. The crepes suzette, which are always freshly prepared at the table, are excellent; with all kinds of alcohol, funny remarks, and enchanting flambé interludes.

La comida esta bien, nada sobresaliente. Podrian mejorar la atención y sonreir un poco y ser más amables. Son cosas que no cuestan nada y te hacen recomendar el sitio.

Buena comida, buen marisco, carta amplia y precio asequible. La atención en general muy bien; nos atendió una chica muy jovencita ( seguramente la más joven de todas) muy atenta y servicial. El entrecot merece mucho la pena.

El único fallo que tienen, es la lentitud en pleno verano. Por lo demás, me encanta. Totalmente recomendable.

Bien ubicado, comida buena, entorno bonito. Relación calidad precio es un poco caro.

La comida es buena. Los arrozes son buenos y el trato también. El precio es lo mejor más teniendo en cuenta la ubicación y la ciudad. Hay mucha variedad de platos y eso es genial, tienen productos incluso para personas celíacas y el personal intenta buscar una solución para todo. El producto es de buena calidad y el tiempo de salida de cocina es bastante rápido teniendo en cuenta que hay mucha gente siempre, es un sitio dónde hay que ir si te encuentras en la escala.

Servicio increíble. Pocas veces te dicen que no tienen sitio, siempre intentan hacerte un hueco aunque no tengas reserva y eso pocos restaurantes lo hacen. Comida muy buena y pescado fresco. Steak tartar te lo hacen delante tuyo y te lo dejan provar para que elijas como lo quieres. Paellas también muy buenas!!

no sé lo que entendeis por comer bien pues a nosotros el arrozno no gustó nada!! mucho que desear la verdad y carisimo no volveremos

Aunque sin duda se trata de un lugar recomendado, nosotros no tuvimos la mejor experiencia de todas. Ambiente de restaurante de marisco tradicional, un poco más tranquilo al estar apartado en el puerto. La comida es toda muy buena, aunque por ejemplo el filete de ternera podría haber sido un pelín más grande. Nos trajeron un magret de pato nada hecho, que incluso sangraba como si lo acabaran de matar, que nos cambiaron sin problema al solicitarlo. Luego hay algún detalle mejorable, como el hecho de pedir una copa de vino y que no te pregunten cuál; que venga bastante fría (tinto), o que te la traigan directamente sin servirla viendo la botella.

Ubicado frente al puerto de l' Escala, Entrantes muy ricos pero justos en cuanto a cantidad, pedimos Paellas y Fideua, los cuales nos gustaron, pero también cortos de cantidad. En próximas visitas a L' Escala probaremos otro restaurante ya que el importe de la factura no justifica las cantidades de comida (que si la calidad).

Tuvimos mala suerte, pedimos unas tallarinas y estaban espectaculares pero pedimos una mariscada, y no solo le faltaba calor, la sepia, el calamar, las navajas y la langosta estaban secas. Se lo dijimos al dueño y nos repuso las navajas y la langosta (porque no nos las habíamos comido) y trajo unas almejas por su cuenta en compensación por la espera y el fallo. De postre un crepe que te lo cocinan delante tuyo y es chulo de ver, además que está muy bueno. El dueño nos quiso invitar a un mojito y no quisimos porque nos teníamos que ir ... volveremos para dar una segunda oportunidad.

35 min para tomar nota, chipirones no estaban limpios, arroz flojo. Rape donostiarra estaba bien, y el tartar de atún bien. No vale la pena.

Everything was standard, nothing to justify the higher prices from the restaurants in town. The food was good but not exceptional. The waiters were efficient but nothing that makes them stand out. The food was at least 30 % more expensive then other restaurants we have frequented in town.

Really good restaurant for fresh fish. Service was good. However, their sides are absolutely pathetic. We were given a tiny dish of carrots green beans and new potatoes (when i say tiny, i think there was 1.5 new potatoes and im lucky if i was given 3 beans and a whole carrot) all of which were freezing cold when they arrived the table. The fish did make up for it but in future i would order triple sides!

Beautifully situated on a corner overlooking the boats in the port. The tables are set in elegant style. The service is friendly and efficient. Our anchovies and pan con tomate were the poorest we had encountered to date, dry bread and slim anchovies. The Paella mixta was cooked in black ink and had a token of the normal things – two mussels, one langoustine, two pieces of meat etc the rice was unevenly cooked. The turbot (€23) was a whole baby turbot well cooked with some vegetables. Wine list marginally expensive – Rioja €15. Overall not good value.

Very bad experience on August 24th. After a 50-minute wait, I asked the waitress to take our order. A spanish man, who is supposed to be the restaurant manager, came to our table. No smile, no greet…

Very bad service and very bad wine. The quality-price ratio was not what could be expected at this level of restaurant. Never again!!

Estuve comiendo allí la semana pasada y, aunque había menú del día, nadie lo mencionó en ningún momento (una trampa para turistas). Terminamos pagando más del doble de lo que valía el menú. Además, trajeron todos los platos a la vez —calientes y fríos— y tuvimos que comer deprisa. La torrada de anchoas llegó totalmente reblandecida por la espera. Las mejillones estaban mal limpiados y el pulpo, bastante normalito. Una experiencia decepcionante.

Estando en la mesa no te sirven si no aparentas tener dinero. 2,2€ el café cortado. Está pegado a la carretera y al lado del embarcadero con un fuerte olor a agua sucia y estancada, probablemente de la perdida de gasoil de las embarcaciones que están al lado. Caro y mal servicio. Sucio y bastante descuidado.

We wanted to have a nice dinner at the end of June, have been there before. When we came in 19:30, the boss said we have to sit in the restaurant. All tables would be reserved! 2 tables were occupied at the time! We then went to the restaurant at the harbor and ate very good fish. When we came by later at La Clota were almost all tables still free! There are better restaurants with friendly service. Recommendable is the MAREBE directly on the beach of Riells. Very good cuisine with a fantastic view of the Gulf of Rosas!
