Taverna Dei Viandanti Lesmo Reviews
The best food and vibe I've ever experienced. Wow!
We visited on Saturday evening with friends. The porcini mushroom risotto was delicious and generously portioned. I highly recommend it. The mixed cured meats appetizer was also noteworthy, as was the apple pie. The fireplace added a touch of class to this rustic yet unique restaurant. The chef even walked around the tables to ask if everything was to our liking, a thoughtful and kind gesture. We'll be back later.
A restaurant with a capital R, the food is excellent. I reiterate my admiration for this place, where you don't just eat, but savor dishes of unique delicacy. As has happened many times over the years, the dinner ended with compliments from all the guests for the quality of the dishes. I always feel confident when I invite friends, relatives, and acquaintances to special events because I'm sure I'll make a great impression. Thank you, keep up the good work.
In Monza for the GP. The night before Ferrari's fantastic victory, we were recommended this restaurant just outside Monza for dinner. It's truly a traditional place. It deserves this rating because, in addition to having a great time, we also ate excellent food. It ended up bringing us good luck, so it'll be a must-visit at the next GP!
Returning in October 2024, I reiterate everything I've already said. The beautiful, intimate and rustic atmosphere is typical of a true trattoria. Better to book to avoid the risk of being full. Everything was very good. The Gricia with spaghetti alka chitarra was divine. The braised beef was described as "moving." The dishes are generous. If shared, they're brought on shared trays. Not everyone likes them.
Great place, wonderful food
A pearl hidden within its shell, an enchanting village nestled in the Brianza hills. In a historic building—it's said to have been a convent—this chef, straight out of a novel, cultivates and shares his passion. Let him tell you the story of the place, perhaps over dinner, in autumn or winter, which I think is the ideal season, and relax. A few dishes, each better than the last. A family atmosphere—is that how you say it? And excellent service.
A rustic, elegant, and warm corner of Brianza, nestled among the narrow streets of Usmate, reminiscent of a country village, with a small, tranquil outdoor space decorated with plants and souvenirs of exotic travels. Delicious risottos, meats, and well-matched wines. The chef guided us through the menu right up to dessert, with passion in his descriptions and helpfulness. Perfect for relaxing evenings, the cuisine is meticulously prepared and carefully sourced.
A restaurant in a small village in Brianza with very few seats, about twenty at most, where the customer is very well looked after. The menu features a few dishes, all traditional Brianza/Lombardy cuisine, all cooked to perfection. I particularly recommend the risottos (especially the Monza version), the truly tasty bruschetta, and the vanilla cotechino, a creamy sauce. The chef personally takes care of all the guests, offering much appreciated advice and information about the dishes and their cooking methods. A restaurant that truly cares about customer satisfaction. The prices are a bit high—with a good wine, a first course, second course, and appetizer or dessert—you'll spend around €70 per person, but the food is truly excellent.
The quality of the dishes is outstanding, served by a friendly and knowledgeable manager who takes great care to share the origins of his creations, drawn from personal experience. It's not easy to find the place if you're not familiar with it, but I'll definitely return when I feel like enjoying a good meal.
It's a sure thing every time! Giuliano and his wife Simona are very welcoming. Giuliano always knows how to recommend the perfect dish. I recommend starting with the selection of bruschetta, each one better than the last, and then continuing with a fantastic Tomahawk! The Prosecco to wash it all down is excellent. I'll be back!
Second visit, and there will be many more. La Taverna dei Viandanti is a quiet, welcoming, and warm restaurant, offering excellent dishes (the bresaola on the platter is sublime) served by an owner from another era. The kindness and sincerity of the host make the dinner even better. Highly recommended, and I recommend trying the chocolate cake: sublime.
Wonderful. Good food, tradition and fantasy blended in an amazing mix that satisfies both traditionals and others. Price as expected. Nice wine choice.
Straconsigliato. Ci son stato parecchie volte, e ci tornerò parecchie volte. Cibo squisito. Persone squisite. A presto
Sempre…
Total disappointment – not recommended for families with children A very negative experience at Trattoria dei Viandanti. We were forced to leave without even eating. (And we paid for the children's dishes we didn't eat.) The reason? An unpleasant situation caused by other rude customers, which the owner failed to adequately address. I strongly advise against going with children: they don't seem to be welcome, and the atmosphere isn't at all family-friendly. A real shame, because we expected a completely different kind of welcome. Unfortunately, the manager didn't live up to the expectations.
