So good. A must stop when I visit home from out of state. Love that their spicy option actually has flavor and isn't just a heat-fest. Love the rolls. Make sure to get extra or you'll be sad.

I visited the Golden Chick in Lewisville today, and the food was very delicious, the chicken salad is my favorite with warm rolls. The staff was very nice and the manager is always friendly. I used to visit frequently throughout high school.

I've never had a bad experience here! Food is always hot and fresh, it seems like evrytime we get a 3 pc they hook us up with an extra tender. For the price and freshness you can't beat it. About $30 to fully feed a family of 3.

I ordered a Party Pak for 15 people for a swimming party I had at my house yesterday. I ordered Option 2 for 60 tenders, 2 large grave and 2 sides. The food was great and could have easily fed 20 people. I received many compliments on the food. It was ready on time, at 4:00 and the staff helped me carry it out to the car. The staff was friendly and patient with me when I placed my order. Highly recommend this location for great food for a summer party!

I recently discovered Golden Chick, which is know for their amazing dinner rolls (no to be confused with biscuits); and they're really good! But the other thing that separates them from the others is their roasted chicken. It's basically baked chicken but with some really unique spies they marinate the outside of the chicken with. Their fried chicken and tenders were decent. They have a spicy option for the fried chicken, but it's just a powder they sprinkle on after the fact. But they give away these spicy packets that let you spice up the chicken yourself. If you want spicy fried chicken, I'd checkout churches chicken. But otherwise, I have found an alternative to Popeyes and Church's chicken. Definitely worth trying out. 🙂

Too small inside. Seems like a forced space with chairs and tables so close together. I went inside but got it to go. The service was good. The manager was nice. The food was fresh and CORRECT. Overall, a good experience.

Chicken tenders were perfectly fried and so juicy on the inside!! Service was fast and friendly. Price wasn't too bad and my order was correct when I received it. We went through the drive thru and then to the park to eat. Unfortunately we had to get creative to be able to eat our mashed potatoes bc they did not put any plastic ware in the bag. I've never been to a Golden Chick that didn't include them with the individual combo meals so I didn't think to ask if it was in the bag. Thank goodness I was raised right bc I am very experienced in using rolls to scoop potatoes and gravy. Problem solved. Would've given 5 stars if not for no plastic ware to eat with and the fact that they don't have Sprite, only Sierra Mist. Sorry but that is not the same thing.

This place is bomb. "Fresh, seasoned & right the 1st time" types of orders. Luv it! The staff was courteous & greeted us like family. I even danced a little to the music they were playing. 😜 A little pricey for a family of 5 but what can I say? My family would much rather I skip the Chicken Express 1 mile away to get dinner from Golden Chick that's 10 miles away. 😋😋😋

The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because the chicken wasnt all that good. The best rolls, cookies was a little hard I'm not complaining. I'm not sure if everyone know about Ryan's Southern Buffet in south Mississippi these rolls taste exactly like Ryan's. Fried chicken would not be chicken without the flavors and the skin my opinion.

I go on my lunch break. Though the drive-thru line is usually long, customers move through quickly. The food has always been fresh and the chicken cooked thoroughly. The sweet tea is great and the so is the service.

I got a 9 piece family meal of the Golden Roast and a family side of green beans and okra. The chicken was good sized pieces (legs and thighs). The okra was crazy. It was an entire meal box stuffed with okra. By comparison, the green beans was kind of a paltry offering. It's maybe 3 servings worth? That's the minus one star reason.

I went at night about an hour before closing & they were out of fried chicken legs which is what my daughter wanted but it was close to closing so its whatever. Food is okay. Chicken is tender & crispy with the perfect crunch. I'll probably never eat that mac n cheese again but the yeast rolls made me extremely happy deep down in my spirit 😂 c'mon somebody! I'd go back!

I have to say that the food was very good even though the wait time is longer than fast food typically takes. They did advise us that it would be a little bit of a wait so it’s not like we were bamboozled. They have confusion on the menu and it seems that the owner or franchisee doesn’t want to spend money on a strong manager that would turn the place into a real solid chicken joint. I would eat there again.

When you just want to grab good fried or roasted 🐔 and take home, there is no other better place. I have even dropped Popeyes for this place! I'm going to do a combo with catfish next. They are very consistent and do not over cook their chicken. It's a great value for your money.

It was around 6 pm on Friday evening. I went here via drive thru, there was a line that did not move for 10 mins. Then I was there another 10 once my order was placed. The only reason I stayed is bc my child wanted it. Otherwise I would have left.

The food is good. This seems like a low volume location, so service and quality is a little below the bar compared to busier locations. Getting my order correct is a roll of the dice. Nevertheless, I keep coming back.

This was my first time at Golden Chick. I went because some friend’s recommended it. There was only one car in the drive thru before me. When they pulled away from the order board I could see they placed an order ~$50 so I figured it might be a while before I get my food. I asked about the 9pc chicken wing and the man on the speaker was sharp with his response “well it says…”. When I get to the window to pay and pick up and he gives me the food I ask again is this 9pc or 9 full wings? He says 9 pieces. See if you had listened to my question at the order board you would have known I was asking because I wanted full wings. At that point I took the receipt and food and left. Slow service at 4pm on a weekday (which is before the dinner rush) and a rude employee with no name tag won’t be returning.

The chicken smelled delicious. (I was picking it up for a friend, so I didn't eat any of it.) The wait time for the family meal was about average.( I went through the drive-through.) The service was courteous and the pricing seemed a little higher than I was expecting.

I come to this golden chick 3 to 4 times out the week maybe more and always have excellent service. The last couple of times I have been, the young lady at the front is very rude, never smile and always seem to have an issue when she forget some. Very unprofessional and unethical. I gave three stars because the other guy, the manager I think and short lady always know I like fresh chicken, so thank you for that. They are very aware of their customer needs and try to satisfy as much as possible.

Normally it’s good when their not rushing. I always asked them to cook my wicket wings and tenders and extra two minutes but this time both were very under cooked. I was not satisfied plus for the price of the 9 wicket wings now 😔.

Fried fast food but usually fresh and tasty. The rolls are by far the best of any fast food restaurant. They offer some items not found elsewhere such as Cajun Rice and fried chicken liver and gizzards. Worth a visit.

Not quite the experience I'm used to when eating here... Especially the tea. Someone needs to check the dates better on your tea or try it out before selling it to your customers because it was not fresh in fact quite the opposite... Had my time allowed it I would have driven back to say something...

Drive thru, so the atmosphere does not apply. Mom likes fried catfish so we tried this place. It was good a little heavy on the batter. Only one side comes with it. With the inflation climbing like it has the past 3.5 years it's understandable that the size of meals are smaller nowadays. The ladies at the checkout were very nice.

I ordered a 12 piece mixed fried chicken. The chicken was either overcooked or was under the heat lamp too long. Chicken was way too dry. The sides were great. Next time I will request fresh cooked chicken. Manager Lucia made this situation right. All is good.

For a change of pace from popeyes tuesday special, its somewhat decent. Drive through was somewhat slow for only having 3 people in front. For $1.99 it came with some warm drumsticks and thighs and a delicious yeasty soft roll. If I knew it came with rolls (I asked about their special to see what it came with and they just mentioned chicken,) I woulda have not gotten more rolls since I knew they were delicious so no real complaints there. One of my friends got 2 wings and said they were pretty good, for a little chicken critic, id say that's pretty good. The taste of the meat itself had a slight off taste to it but it was "juicy" still. The cole slaw had a bad taste and smell to it so we threw it away.

It was my first time trying this chain and I was very disappointed. The menu display was poorly taken care of. I have a belief that if the building looks unmaintained the inside probably isn't taken care of either which is unappealing. There wasn't anyone in front of me but my food took forever to come out. The employee was courteous.

Ordered 6 pc. strips right before restaurant was closing. Got home (5 minutes away). Only received 3 pc. which were old, didn't have side (fried okra) in box. First time visiting this location.

We drove all the way here in Lewisville from Argyle.. Waited in line almost 20 minutes for these new, alleged Fletcher's State Fair Corn dogs 🙄🙄🙄 they were small, super light and bready looking in color and just not good. Huge disappointment. I got a 3 piece chicken. It was super greasy but did have nice breading. The mashed potatoes and gravy, however, were watery and little jail potatoes 🤢🤢 no seasoning on any sides, including the fries, which would have been magnificent with some salt :( so, fried chicken, while greasy, pretty decent. Everything else, nope.

I love Golden Chick. However service at this location sucks lately. First Time I went in months about a month ago. I sat in Drive Thru for 30 plus mins because the person in front of me when ordered catfish and they cooked it for them fresh. Which is fine but if you know you have others waiting be like any other restaurant and have them pull up, park, and bring it out. I told the girl at the window and she just chuckled. And then they forgot part of my order. So I went back the next week thinking they had a bad day. They next time was okay not bad not the best. 3rd time I go I took the order from people at the office and got some for every one ,they didnt take too long but this time I decide to get a raspberry lemonade. I get back to the office start to eat everything looks ok. I go to take a drink and my raspberry lemonade no ice and it taste like straight off like alchohol!!! Very disappointing, I can't complain there because there is not a manager.

Walked in to a unlocked dinning room at 10:24 am and was told they don't open until 10:30. Told the guy I was ordering gizzards which take 7 minutes to cook any way. He stated they will open at 10:30. I said your going to loose a sale over 6 minutes, he said yes. I like the gizzards here because they are always hot and fresh so I went back at 10:40 and got mu order at 10:47. The rude employees name was Bazlur. I don't think I'll be making my weekly stop to this place anymore

Well, after watching the commercial a million times I was in a rush to experience the catfish. They must have given me the 3 smallest pieces they could find. Very, very dissatisfied!! Almost fifteen dollars for the entire order. Leave the catfish to another establishment, please

Ordered the catfish filets and they were small like strips...For the price it wasn't worth it. Customer service wasn't great. "No thank you and have a nice a day" Instead my food was handed thru the window and the glass door closed.

Every time our family orders a 16 count chicken tenders meal, we get the smallest chicken tenders I have ever seen. $32 for that order. Thus has happened the last 4 times. We used the drive through too. NEVER AGAIN. I refuse to pay that price again. It's a f'ing ripoff!

I give this location a low score only because of this particular locations quality. The food has always been good If you are lucky enough to get what you ordered, they are consistent only in getting orders wrong. The reason I finally broke down and reviewed is because today during dinner(slow line, no rush) the attendant admitted to getting my order wrong and tried to "buy" my satisfaction with more wrong food, when I asked them to fix it as it hadn't been my first time receiving a mistake they happily corrected the problem only to find when I got home that there were other mistakes throughout the order...this is not rocket science, in fact you barely need to count to do this job.

The serving sizes are getting smaller here, I like their chicken but $12 for a 6 piece meal with pieces this size is a ripoff. Also got charged .39 for extra seasoning powder which is just adding insult to injury on the value per $.

If you’re in a rush, why are you working? Why ask if I want spicy or plain if you’re going to get me whatever you want lol? I like literally 2 mins away how is the food so damn cold lmaoooo.

I like The old Golden chick better and yeah change is for the better but sometimes it’s good to keep your old talent. But the chicken is still good tho… but stingy as hell sometimes.

I’ve been going to Golden Chick for a long time. Maybe instead of delivery I need to go to the restaurant to get all of what I order since they do not answer the phone or return messages. I would not recommend this location for delivery. Did not receive extra roll that was paid for or the gravy that comes with the meal.

Paid $60 for 15piece chicken and fish. Got to the window and they only had 8 pieces fried, offer roasted or wait 15min. Then came back and said they still didn't have 15 pieces manager's office then they offered tenders to fill in the rest at that point I just asked for a refund for the difference and just give me whatever fried Chicken they have and they took an additional 10 minutes just to do that. Food is decent but it's certainly not worth the trouble. horrible customer service, no greeting shut the window in your face, notice the size of the $10.99 fish plate. And they only gave me one of two sides

I was with my 4 kids trying to get food before the school concert. It was 2 people ahead of us but took 20 min before we could order. We only ordered tenders and was advised they were coming up in 2 min but we still waited an additional 15 min with 4 employees that had no sense of urgency. Another lady had called in and also had to wait 15 min. Bad service and not even offered complimentary drink! This was around 6 pm so they should have had plenty of food ready for the dinner rush!

My first visit to Golden Chick on Valley Parkway in Lewisville. Went there because of the ratings/reviews. The sweet tea was excellent. Not too sweet - perfect. The bread roll - real good. Sorry to say though - but, the chicken tasted terrible to me. Like it was old and fried in oil that need to have been changed weeks ago. The breast was dry as toast and had less meat than a thigh. -Got a 3 piece combo and paid the extra price upgrade for a breast. They were out of legs - which I really wanted (1 leg, 1 breast, 1 thigh). Wouldn't substitute the breast - even though they were out of legs. No biggie - I bought-in anyway. I love fried chicken and consider myself an good judge of all tiers of chicken places. Based on the chicken quality alone - I wish I had just gone to Popeyes - at least the ckicken always seems to be fresher and the oil changed regularly. If I was just looking for sweet tea and bread rolls - this would have been a good experience. Unfortunately, I was looking for good fried chicken first and foremost.

I visit Golden Chick quite often. I LOVE THEIR WICKED WINGS. I’ve never been to one who can’t accommodate your meal especially when you have to wait 15 mins for it. I came through drive thru at the Valley Pkwy location after church and the man was rude when I asked for flats only being that they cook the wicked wings to order. He said, “No I can’t be doing all of that, it’s random.” It’s amazing the difference in customer service at the different locations. What one can do, I’m certain the others can do as well. Customer Service is BIG! Your first impression may be your only! I’m a Team Lead for customer service and our customers mean most and we try and do what we can even if it takes a bit longer because they are the reason we have jobs! Take heed to this and do better next time!

This place use to be decent, when it opened. Now it’s awful The fries are cold when I order to go every time. Some of the employees are terrible! Especially the white guy at the cash register, he always has an attitude, he definitely needs a different job because customer service is not meant for him.

3 out of 4 times coming here, they never have the right amount of roasted chicken. Every time, they try to substitute it with fried pcs and charge the same price as the roasted. The 4th time they literally put 8 wings in a 12 piece mixed and still charged $50. When you challenge the cost for something that's their fault, they give you an attitude.

We're staying at a motel and ordered from the "illustrious" Golden Chick. My friend had the Golden Tenders and I had the Tender Salad. NO UTENSILS. NO STRAWS. NO NAPKINS. I ordered Balsamic Vinaigrette plus, paid a dollar for Buttermilk Ranch dressing yet, didn't receive the BV dressing.My salad was described as having Romaine and Iceberg (in that order) lettuce but, it was about 99.9999% Iceberg lettuce. I tried calling the GC location 4 times only to receive no answer. Nobody's at home at Golden Chick. What.. was the phone not ringing in Spanish?!?!??? Smh

Chicken came out good but thats where the good stopped. Sat in the drive thru for 25 minutes with 1 car in front of me. Roll wasn't cooked, my side of fries consisted of 8 fries and there were no napkins in the bag. Needs new management or employees

I order wicked wings today and they taste like they sat out for hours. They were cold and fries taste like they sat out as well. Very disappointed when I know how good the wings can be.

They kept my family from eating tonight, because the girl canceled my order to redo and it wasn’t able to charge my card again. All the manager said was it will be back on your card in a few days🤬what are we suppose to do today? Didn’t ask her to cancel it this wasn’t my fault! Im really upset how this was handled.

I went there around 3:15pm. I spent $58.86. I went home to have dinner with my family and everything I bought was not fresh at all. I called the store and the cashier that took my order said that there was not a manager on duty. And there was nothing she could do. I gave her my cell number and asked her to please have the manager call me. I never got a call. I called back the next day and the same cashier answered the phone and she said that there was not a manager on duty, but she do say that I can come up there and get a refund on the chicken, but not a replacement. She gave me $36.99 and told me to not come back to this store. This is a franchise store and the owner and the employees of the store is giving Golden chick a bad name . serving old food that’s been in the hot plates for over the holding time that they should hold chicken. Don’t go to the one on Main St. in Lewisville Tx.

I frequent this place every chance that I get. I absolutely loved their food and service, and I never had a problem until my last visit! My 9 piece wicked wing combo had way too much seasoning, 😫. I deliver in this area, and it isn't close to my residence. I ate 2 pieces and couldn't eat the rest, I saved the uneaten portion and returned it to that location the next day! I ran into this person named Alex, who said he was the manager. I informed him of the food quality issues and asked for a replacement. He was rude and said he wouldn't replace the combo because I didn't return the drink from the previous day......are you kidding me!!!!! He replaced the wicked wings with small cold ones and luke warm fries! I ended up tossing the meal and just realized it was a waste of money, gas, and time!!!!! Wow!!!!!!

Everytime I come here, I order sweet tea and it's bad.. like sour.. and my chicken in my chicken sandwich was dry, crunchy and tasted weird. I spit it out. It's been sitting overnight I guarantee it, both of them. It's disgusting and I'm pretty sure also against code....

I have lived in this neighborhood for a bit over 10 years now and have consistently gone to Golden Chick due to its location and the food is generally good. They have gradually declined in my opinion with longer wait times, smaller portions, now smaller pieces and higher prices. I normally get the tenders and the size of the tenders I got today were quite literally small enough to make me sign in and give my first review ever. I’ll continue to buy from Golden Chick but definitely looking for another location to visit and hopefully the experience is a bit better than this one.

I've tried this place three times.. 1. Arrived at 11am to be told by the manager that no one showed up for work and they couldn't open 2. Arrived the next week at 11:15 am and tried to order roasted chicken. Was told they were out and wouldn't have any more for another hour. 3. Today arrived at 10:40 to be told they didn't have roasted chicken and it would be an hour. Talked to the manager who said they just opened and it took an hour to roast as well as one of their ovens had been broken for months. I tried. I think the owner of this establishment just doesn't care. If he did the employees would arrive at 9:30 to have the food ready at the time they opened and - he would have the oven repaired. I'm surprised this business is still open. I never see cars there during the day and they don't ever have any chicken ready. If you want good roasted chicken, go to winco. They always have it ready and it's much cheaper.

2 bad experiences. 1st one I order their wings online, a family order and paid so it would be ready when I arrived. When I got there they told me they had given it to someone else and I need to wait another 15 mins so they could remake it....another occasion I waited in the drive thru over 30 minutes just to make a simple order of mixed chicken, and I was told to pull up and wait 14 mins which turned out taking longer. Both occasions i only chose them as a fast option to feed my family when I could've cooked at home faster.

Normally, I don’t post a bad rating - but this place is slow AND the food, once you get it is cold. I’ve spent my whole lunch break waiting for them to give me hot food. Who knows if I will get it. It used to be great. Something has changed.

Just bought a 3 piece dark with a catfish and extra leg with fruit punch. I asked for 1 ranch and the guy said it was .31 and all I had was my card. So he said they can swipe my card for anything under $1.00. Okay but after eating my Dirty Rice, a piece of hair was at the bottom of my cup and now I’m totally disgusted and can’t even finish my food.

Waited 25 min in line just for my order to not be correct and had a missing item once I pulled out the drive thru. Had to go inside and ask for it, and they overfilled my drink with ice barely leaving any room for the actual drink product. I wanted to give golden chick a chance again, but this location ruined for me. Not returning. 🤌🏾

I have two sleeping babies in the car. I won’t leave them while I go in. Please get enough staff to sufficiently run the place otherwise just close if you can’t accommodate people.

I did online order went to pick it up and the lady was so rude yelling that they didn’t have my order I tried to explain and show her my phone I did and she just kept slamming her finger on the receipt machine that she didn’t she the order and then someone else helped me and said only delivery order where working and I order deliver and my order got cancel . Didn’t get my refund bac for both transaction online and delivery order eben tho it said refund d on my phone . Really bad experience never really buy here and had the worst first experience not going back

Every time I come to this location after 7pm they always tell me they don’t have roasted chicken and the wait is over 25 mins. Almost like they make up that wait time because they know no one is going to want to wait 25 mins for chicken. Like why not just already have the food prepared that you’re mainly popular for!! Then I ordered a 6pc tender combo and they only gave me 5!!

Hours after eating my wicked wings I felt nauseous. Around 3am I woke up from my sleep having to throw up! I got food poisoning and had to miss three days of school. I missed my SAT test, important assignments, and was really behind on work in all classes. If you do decide to eat here, I don’t recommend getting the wicked wings.

terrible experience, the so called “ manger “ LUCIAAAAAA was upset because she couldn’t hear me order my food ?? 😂😂 we pull up to the window and asks me “ who was yelling “ i said i was why and she immediately got offended and started to get in her feelings saying in order for me to order my food i had to be in the driver side ?? that’s ridiculous i then she continued to ask me if i still wanted my food i said yes and she then continues to insult me so i continue to ask for the manger she said she is and i told her that her that her behavior was ridiculous like girl just charge me for my food and call it a day 😂, how are you pushing 50 and arguing with a teenager?

I have been a customer of this location for a very long time and my service here today was absolutely terrible. I ordered a 6 piece tender combo and got all the way home and these tenders are the smallest I have ever seen and they didnt even give me 6 of them. I call and nobody to answer and the mailbox is full. I will not be returning to this location it is a rip off. Disappointed.

They do not give you what you order. The dumb employee argues and does not admit to anything wrong. Don't waste your money. Already contacted the comment page with no response.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent visits to Golden Chick. About a week and a half ago, I visited and ordered two meals. The 3-piece meal I received was not correct, the chicken wasn’t fresh, and the drinks were not marked. I spoke with the manager, Rasheda, who assured me I could come back at any time and she would replace the 3-piece meal with no problem. Today, I returned and ordered the replacement 3-piece along with an additional 2-piece meal I paid for. On the replacement, I requested a breast and 2 legs, but I was told the legs were unavailable due to a large order. Rather than replacing the missing pieces with something equivalent, I was only given 2 pieces of chicken and a side — not the full 3-piece meal I was promised. On top of that, for the order I purchased, I asked for a Dr Pepper but was given Diet Dr Pepper instead, which I cannot drink. Overall, I left feeling let down a second time. I was assured the issue would be corrected, but instead, my replacement meal was short, and my paid order was incorrect as well. This is very frustrating.
