Albert’s Bar Lexington Avenue Reviews
Albert’s on East 41st Street is such a great spot. The music sets the perfect vibe, the decor is stylish and inviting, and the service was genuinely excellent from start to finish. For the main course, the branzino with Brussels sprouts was absolutely awesome — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Golden Boy chicken sandwich was really good too, though next time I’ll probably ask them to hold the horseradish (just a personal preference). Overall, a fantastic experience. Great atmosphere, great food, and a place I’d definitely come back to.
Was in the area and had wanted to check out this place for a while so stopped by...so glad i did! Really nice, chill place to stop by on a friday afternoon..they had a live jazz band playing the whole time. Sat at the bar and had a couple really good drinks with very friendly service. Good vibes. Coming back real soon to check out the brunch!
Excellent food, great service! Beautiful interior with a central bar and upper dining deck. I had the trout and it was so incredibly good, perfectly cooked with crispy skin. Try the shishito peppers to start! Their espresso martini was phenomenal too. Good for date night or a special night out.
Albert’s Bar did a great job accommodating a corporate happy hour for 20 people - we had a great experience, loved the food, the private space, and the service! They were very flexible and accommodating with a slight change in timing. Really appreciate the positive energy and great service. Thank you!
Called in for a drink after walking all morning. 5 American pints 1 sharing nachos and chicken drum sticks later.... Christine was amazing, just about to leave and Christine twisted our arm for another drink. Recommend you visit here when you are in NYC
I only found Albert’s recently. It’s conveniently located a few minutes walk from Grand Central. I found the people to be very friendly. They offer a coat check which is handy, bar was super busy as it was after work but all nice people. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to visit again!
Came here after work for a quick drink with a friend and we somehow ended up staying there for about 5 hours. Great food, delicious flavors! Good draft and canned beer selection. We only did one cocktail and tried the Espresso Martini not our favorite, but the beers were definitely worth it 🍻 Our servers pretty attentive, the crowd was great, music was varied and kept the vibes, bathrooms were clean. Overall great atmosphere and time.
Really enjoyed Albert's. Cool atmosphere, good service, really good food. I appreciated the vegan options, husband was very happy with the small plate drummies and the brick chicken.
Food and drinks always hit. Perfect spot near Grand Central for people who need to catch a train home. Does get very busy so make a reservation if you want a table.
Grabbed drinks and dinner with a friend at Alberts. The location was perfect since we wanted to meet near Grand Central. I absolutely loved the nostalgic vibes ans the grans bar in the middle. Alberts definitely exceeded my expectations with the two levels, great service and delicious food. I see a lot of reviews for brunch so definitely will be coming back to try it!
Great option for elevated post-work cocktails in the midtown area. Food is tasty, drinks are delicious. Gets crowded on the first floor, but there are seating options outside (for now) and second level upstairs.
The drinks were not only super tasty but also really cute – definitely IG worthy. Each cocktail had its own little flair, from creative garnishes to fun glassware, and you could tell care went into every detail. Highly recommend grabbing a seat at the bar if you visit!
Albert’s is an excellent place for brunch! Our server was great, attentive, and quick with our food and drinks. The menu is not extensive, but it has the essential dishes!

The ambience is quite and service is pretty quick. We just had apps here the coconut shrimp was the best. Their spinach and white bean hummus was a unique and tasted pretty good. Their chicken dummies were okay, wasn’t on the palette for me. Good location, give a shot when you are around.
Absolutely fantastic and a great value. I don’t have a sweet tooth but their French Toast is mind-blowing; $25 bottomless drinks made their stellar mortadella sandwich taste even better. Beautiful space and excellent service.
We came here as a party of 2 around 4:30pm on a Sunday. We did have a reservation but it wasn't necessary as it was quite empty inside (likely due to our timing). The seating inside includes some bar seating and booths. There is also outdoor seating as well which some patrons enjoyed but it was too hot for us. We got seated right away at a booth. We were initially here for just the drinks but got peckish and so ended up ordering some food. Drinks: - Barrel Aged Martinez: SO GOOD. We got it twice! It's a bit alcohol forward but the smokiness balances it great. I also thought it had a great caramel after taste - Albert's Gibson: Loved the refreshing Yuzu in this - Yellowstone Collins: Super duper refreshing as well Food: - Shoe string fries: Nothing to complain about fries. - Albert's Burger: Great burger! - Mac n Cheese: Quite a good serving for the price! also delicious - Bonus - house made hot sauce: I asked for hot sauce and they gave me this and I thought it was AWESOME. The service was GREAT. Super friendly staff and super nice. Explained some things about the menu to us as well. I would definitely visit again! Perhaps with a larger group as well
Here right now after a long day of meetings. Stunning bar! Great service. Super nice. They checked my bag, charged my phone for me, and served me a great beer and steak & spinach salad. A first rate environment. Very high end but not crazy expensive. Top recommendation!
Stopped by Albert’s Bar for drinks and really liked the vibe. Cocktails were well made and not overly sweet, Dirty Pickle Martini was solid. Place feels lively but still comfortable, good for a casual night out. Would definitely come back.
The coziest, yummiest, BEST find near GCT! Meeting the owner/manager Pete was just terrific, and our entire party enjoyed a delicious meal here. We can't wait to come back- perfect for drinks, work meals, family brunch, or really any occasion. So glad this place exists, and congrats to the whole team on a truly excellent dining and atmospheric experience!

Had an occasion to celebrate there and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating in making it special. Shout out to Joe for bending over backwards for us. The food was delicious as well. I’ll be back and highly recommend as a drinks getaway in midtown or for your parties and celebrations.
I stopped by for a mixed drink and an appetizer and had a great time. The space is perfect for after-work gatherings and company outings, with plenty of room to accommodate large groups and private parties in midtown. It was a fun, welcoming spot to visit between work travels.

Enticing yet a tad of a let down; Went for a post night out Celebration;Yet it’s a bust for a Friday night. Posted this 23:31pm: 60 people in its entirety; That’s if I’m feeling lucky. Bartender took the photo; “Will” and I’ll share that he’s not only knowledgeable about the environment, but he’s enthusiastic “he’s your Guy” about the environment. He brings it. I wanted so bad to rate it 4 maybe more stars; but being just a guy in the crowd non regular. WILL BE BACK THOUGH AS IT’S as inviting as grandpas house
Ordered a couple of items, the only thing that tasted fresh was the popcorn shrimp. Maybe they had an off night but wouldn’t recommend it for the food 😵💫

I was a bit skeptical about this spot but friends had mentioned it was good so decided to try it out. After being ignored at the front for a table I sat at the bar on my own. My bartender Meg was the saving grace for my dining experience. Super sweet and attentive. If it weren’t for her I probably would have walked out. Food wasn’t my favorite but was surprised Meg was curious about what spirits Iiked to drink and made me a custom cocktail. I appreciate the personalized touch and her being super engaging. May try again in the future but doubt it.

Sad and pathetic how mediocre NY restaurants think they’re better than they actually are. Albert’s is one of those. Loud, pretentious midtown bros who you couldn’t tell one from the other loudly crowded the place. That wasn’t even the worst of it. The food quality has greatly diminished too: the rotten and stinky beer, the $25 burger that couldn’t compete with a Burger King Whopper, and the overpriced salad with chicken that tasted worse than deli chicken. Even worse? I hate when servers hover behind you to see how much tip you leave on that portable card reader. Our server, Lydia, did just that. When she saw we barely left any tip, she shook her head, scoffed, and immediately asked, what could we have done better? When I told her, she fired back a defense for each one. Looking for basic American fare and decent cocktails? Go to The Smith, just a few blocks north, if you’re already in midtown.
