Great place for authentic Nigerian food in Anjos. I got a takeaway and they did the soup nice and spicy as requested :-) Feels like stepping out of Lisbon and into Lagos for a bit, which I like. Thanks!

The restaurant is in the basement with fan to cool you down. Now to the food,I had bitter leaf soup that I haven't had in ages and it went down a treat with foofoo😋😋😋,I will definitely recommend the place anytime you visit Lisbon.

Was in Portugal a couple weeks ago. Even though there are a lot of food choices in Portugal a lot of things I was eating eventually made me feel sick or maybe it was the booze 🤷🏾‍♀️ so we were extremely excited to find a proper Nigerian restaurant which brought me back. Being honest the decor is dated and there is a lot going on in one shop but the food was exceptional. I had the pounded yam and egusi, all the way filling and worth every penny, my wife had pounded yam and okora soup. Both dishes were full of assorted meat. I would definitely go back there when I go back to Lisbon. I recommend anyone that eats/loves African food to go here. 👌🏿

Typical African setting. Basic as basic can be. Don't think of it as a restaurant, rather a room underground where food is served. So if atmosphere is your thing, then don't bother. The place was spotlessly clean. The lady serving is efficient and the food fairly good

Ordered eugusi soup 7€ + Bitter leaf soup 7€ Dishes come with pounded yam fufu Not freshly cooked Frozen then microwave defrosted :/ Cow belly- cow foot - beef all as expected - decent portion size - but 6/7 for taste Closest you’ll get to Nigerian / west African cuisine in Lisboa There was also pepper soup on the menu Drinks are cheap - free water was served with our meal! Cute waitress - you will also find PALM OIL upstairs in the shop and packed fufu, Milo, powdered milk etc

I’ve had Nigerian food many times before and this is definitely not the place to go. The Fufu had patches inside and wasn’t even done properly, the Egusi was 10% meat and 90% fat and bones. Nothing had any flavour other than meat broth. We didn’t even eat half and threw it away. Not worth going here. Staff nonchalant and no kindness, you have to ask to get served. Restaurant is just 100% old men sitting around listening to loud music and staring at you. 36€ in total, a pure scam.

Friendly stuff. Food was awful. We ordered Jollof rice and Fufu with Egusi soup. Jollof rice with chicken was dry, old and tasted burnt because it was heated up for too long. Fufu with Egusi soup was better but by far not as good as I remembered fufu to be.

We went into the restaurant (if it can be call that way), first all the clients look at us like if we were ghosts (we were the only white ones), which made us really unconfortable. Then, they asked us 3 times if we wanted to have dinner (like if they were surprised). We said yes because we wanted to try nigerian food and the restaurant had good reviews. The woman take us to the basement, and tell us to ask quickly because she is out of her working hours. She repeated this 3 more times during the dinner. If you dont work after 9pm then you should have tell us that you were not serving dinners, we would have gone to another restaurant, no problem. But dont make us feel bad like if you were doing us a favor. Then we wanted to order egusi soup and ogbono soup, but she told us she just had 1 fufu, so we said she could put one of the soups with rice. She refused, saying that the rice was for just two dishes she had on the menu, not for the others, asking in a very rude manner: “and how you gonna eat the soup?”. Mam, its you who is out of fufu… Anyway, we were obliged to order one of those 2 dishes with rice. Regarding the food, yes, microwave but it looks homemade. However, dont expect meat in any dish, its just organs, feet, skin and all the usually discarded parts of the animal so the texture and flavour are pretty strong. If you dont like tripes/offal don’t come here. Regarding the prices is extremely expensive, 15€ each dish, for tripes/offal??!! You are kidding, they give you those parts of the animal almost for free in the butchery. Maybe they have other prices for friends and 15€ its just for whiteys because is waaay to expensive. You can eat a super fresh fish or a really good picanha for those prices in Lisbon, instead of animal scraps.

I trusted the overall rate instead of reading the reviews and I deeply regret it. I has a terrible experience in that place, in May 2025. The menu doesn't have price, so the waiter randomly adjust the price (we paid 15 EUR a dish that, based on recent reviews, cost 13 EUR a couple of months before - wish in both case is undeserved). The meat was basically uneatable, mostly composed of the worst animal parts, lots of bones and so chewy it was gross. We had the bitter leaf and the pepper meat dishes. The sauces were good but not enough to save the dishes and to justify 15 EUR. Unfriendly staff, barely look at you. The "restaurant" part is in a windowless basement poorly decorated, with a very loud TV. Nothing to save. Run away from this place.

Literally the worst place I've ever been to. Me and my boyfriend decided to try some Nigerian food and we were honestly so disappointed by the service and the food. The restaurant is just a small market with a few tables on two floors. They had no jollof rice that we really wanted to try so we decided to go with rice and stew, which was really bad and overpriced (13 euros for a plate, none of us could finish it because the meat was hard and wasn't good at all). On top of that, the food was just microwaved rice and stew, both ready in 5 minutes. The girl who served us was extremely rude, when we asked if they accept card she told us "Just sit now, you pay later". When we tried some of the food, she asked if it was good and I told her my honest opinion that I didn't really like the meat and since it was chewy and fat we thought it was pork, to which she said "There is no pork in the food, we never make pork, so eat your meat" I don't know how the place has so many good reviews when the food is overpriced, not good, not fresh and the staff is rude. Please don't go there unless you want to be disappointed and waste your money.

Bad food, bad atmosphere, bad service, where do I even start. Honestly I have no idea how this restaurant has so many good reviews. This is not a restaurant, it's a mini market with a spare room with a few tables and that they decided to turn into some sort of a restaurant. The lady working at the restaurant was very rude the entire time and acted like she was doing us a favour. They gave us a menu with no prices, but we still went ahead and ordered. They don't have jollof rice btw, so we ordered rice and stew. The food was literally microwaved and she gave it to us in 5 minutes. The meat was chewy and the rice was just bad. The sauce was the only thing saving the dish and even then we were not able to finish the meat because of how chewy it was. Upon hearing that the we didn't like the food and that we thought it was pork, the lady screamed that they don't serve pork and asked us to just eat our meat and left. This was 26 euros! It's very rare for me to do a bad review, but this the first place that made me do it, it's just not acceptable. This place is a scam, don't fall for it.
