Took my besties out for dinner and was not disappointed. There was no waiting for a table or for our food. I had the salmon wrap with double rice and it was phenomenal! The queso was delicious as well!
I would honestly like to say that I have been stopping in to this restaurant for the last 4 years .And Mr Bogard has gotten me the most outstanding service that anyone could ask for .And only have 40 years of customer service. So ask for Bogard and find out for your self . Definitely a 9.8 on service. Marty mar
Best margaritas I’ve ever tasted! The food is exceptional and the service is top notch! A lot of restaurants are suffering right now because of low staffing issues but you’ll never feel slighted at this restaurant. They are attentive and very accommodating to their guests. The food arrives promptly and I love their homemade salsa and guacamole! My waiter brought me an amazing dessert and even sang happy birthday to me! I have been to this restaurant several times with friends and family and I have been pleased every single time! I prefer to dine outside on the patio so I hope they have portable heaters for the chilly Fall nights! My favorite margarita is the one with the corona on top! My advice is get a driver and remember to drink responsibly! This one is very strong! 😊 My only complaint is the fact that they don’t have Birria tacos! Nonetheless, Santo Coyote will definitely be my go to place for a long time! We had the ABSOLUTE best waiter ever!!! Thank you Santo Coyote for helping me celebrate my birthday!!! I’m so glad I chose your restaurant to go to for my special day!!!
This place has been here forever but I always thought it was just another run of the mill Tex-mex. I felt the quality and portions per price is very reasonable. Service was great, chips and salsa, and fajitas all tasted delicious. Decor and seating is modern and no complaints. I will definitely be returning, I was very surprised and satisfied.
We loved the dip and the staff. The food came out hot and fresh. I tried their new lighter options and wasn’t a fan. It was large chunks of guerilla peppers and it covered the plate. The salmon was cooked beautifully but the salad was dry and not enough sauce. My wife’s meal was great, I was waiting on her leftovers lol.
Everything was good! Food was served hot and taste great. had the taco salad and it was good, exactly what I expected I would definitely recommend. I'll go back to try out some more things then update my review Update:: I tried some new items and everything was good! So far one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve tried.
I had a simple combo plate of a crispy beef taco, chicken enchilada, beans and rice. The taco was actually pretty good, better than most of the Mexican places I've been to. The beans/rice were standard but the enchilada was just ok. It's just meat rolled up in a tortilla with some watery sauce poured over. It definitely could use some work. The chips were just ok too. They have some other interesting sounding dishes on the menu but most were too grippy for me.
Service is always fantastic and the food is excellent. The Margaritas ate delightful. Update: From 4 stars to 3 stars. The service was not up to par. We sat for 16 minutes before our server showed up. We ordered our drinks and appetizers which took another 12 minutes to arrive. I had to remind him about the appetizer when we ordered our entrees. The food was delicious and that is why they received 3 stars instead of 2. Though they didn't receive a good review this time, I will go back because in the past they had excellent service and food. Could have been an off night.
Food was good, not great. Just felt semi bland. But I’m assuming they expect people to show up for the margaritas. Because they look extravagant! Our waiter was extremely kind, but a tad slow on refills. Maybe checked on us 4 times over the course of an hour and a half. Best part was it wasn’t pricey so I wasn’t terribly worried about some of the inconvenience.
I was greeted when i walked in the restaurant informed the greeter i was going to sit at the bar. The lady that was working the bar last night was not friendly. I ordered a lime margarita on the rocks which was fine and i got a small queso con chorizo which came with chips and salsa. The queso had good flavor but it was cold and thick maybe if the queso was warm and or hot it wouldn't have been so thick. Maybe they were having a bad night another customer at the bar ordered a burrito he took one bite and pushed the plate away saying he was only paying for the drink he ordered send that food away. I don't know talk with your night staff.
The chips and crunchy taco shells did not taste homemade. They were both on the hard, stale side which made it difficult to enjoy the tacos or queso. The salsa had good flavor. I also did not care for the cheese enchilada because it was very bland. Maybe if a combination of cheeses were used instead of one. Not for me.
