Smoke N’ Bones BBQ Little Rock Reviews
New favorite BBQ restaurant! Delicious pulled pork, owners present and making sure lunch was a great experience! Prices less than posted. We had pulled pork sandwiches, cheddar grits, cowboy beans, seasoned fried, and a sample of the banana pudding. I would get all of these items again!
SMOKE N’ BONES is the best bbq I’ve ever had hands down. Even though the brothers started their business up in 2024. Theses bbq professionals have made their mark in Arkansas with there menu and swagger of their freaking amazing food and atmosphere! Tyler fixed me the best fregging bbq sandwich I’ve ever eaten and that’s just the sandwich! Even though this is first time at this beautiful establishment it’s most definitely not my last. Those 60,000 plus of you that are following me should know by now this is the place to be if your stomach is wanting some of the best bbq you have ever experienced come to the brothers owned - SMOKE N’ BONES
I had the chopped brisket sandwich with fries. One of the better brisket sandwiches I have had. I asked for lean cut, and was very pleased with what I got. The bbq sauce was excellent! My wife got the chopped pork sandwich with grits and said they were both delicious. We had a little bit of the banana pudding for dessert and that might now be our favorite. Staff was very attentive to our needs and very friendly. The owner (not sure if more than one) came out and chatted giving us more info about the menu. The only thing that could have been better was the portion size of the sandwich. It was on the small side for the price. I believe they have great food, but with their prices, I believe they will have a tough time getting repeat customers.
We just had a wonderful dinner with a large group. The burgers, fries, and coleslaw were phenomenal. I’m not a burger person and absolutely loved it! The service was also top-notch. Everyone was kind and welcoming, and you could tell they loved what they do. We look forward to going back soon!
Had my wife pick up a variety of items to try, and I’ve have to say, this place is easily among the best BBQ I’ve had anywhere in the country. I’ve eaten a lot of BBQ across different regions, and this spot absolutely stands out. You’ll notice many of the negative reviews focus on price, but the pricing here is completely fair for the quality and portions you’re getting. I’ve tried every major BBQ spot in Central Arkansas, and most of them left a lot to be desired. This one didn’t disappoint at all. 10/10 keep doing what yall are doing!
It's hard to put into words without being overly poetic to describe how delicious their BBQ is. Their brisket was smoked to perfection. Their smoked turkey & chicken was melt in your mouth good. Their cheesy grits and cowboy beans made you feel like you were at a family reunion cook out where you actually got along with your family 😜.The homemade desserts were to die for especially the coconut cream pie with a mile high meringue of cloudy heaven. The owners were very welcoming and excited to meet such big fans of BBQ and fellow pitbosses from out of state. 10/10
Let me preface this by saying that I wish I had gotten photos (though we are "enjoy the experience" patrons). Now, my guy and I absolutely enjoyed ourselves at Smoke N' Bones! We had a three meat meal (ribs, brisket and original sausage, grits, mac with the yeast roll); smoked turkey sandwich with fries; a side order of the jalapeno cheddar sausage; wings (original smoked and lemon pepper); burnt ends; and dessert (banana pudding and the bourbon pecan pie). Yes, it was only two of us, but "we listen and don't judge" 😂 We love to support local businesses and restaurants, so we wanted to experience as much as possible...and this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT. They actually smoke their meats - yes, the sausage is truly smoked! The sides and desserts are delicious...my only dislike was that the mac's cheese had started separating (we came in 40 minutes before closing, so I plan to try it again on our next visit). You truly have to come experience the food for yourselves. Lastly, I am talking to "us"... The customer service is genuinely wonderful. There's a lack of common decency and respect that permeates the atmosphere these days, that "we" understand, so it was refreshing to be treated with dignity, appreciation and respect especially being that it was at the very end of the evening and the fact that we kept ordering (the food was fresh btw). People of different backgrounds connecting over great food... definitely worth 5 ⭐ + some!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Little Rock BBQ Must-Visit! If you are looking for authentic, high-quality BBQ in Little Rock, Smoke 'N Bones is the real deal. From the moment we walked in, the owners made us feel like family—they are some of the most down-to-earth and welcoming people we’ve met. The Meats Brisket: Perfectly juicy and "fall-apart" tender. Ribs: Loaded with flavor and cooked to perfection. Smoked Turkey: We took a recommendation from the lovely woman at the counter, and it did not disappoint. Incredibly moist and smoky. The Sides & Bread The sides here aren't an afterthought. The smoked beans are packed with flavor, and the potato salad is a unique standout—it has a delicious, savory hint of what might be garlic that sets it apart from your standard recipe. Even the roll was a highlight: fluffy, buttery, and light as air. (Note: Their sauce is on the sweeter side, which paired great with the savory meats!) The Grand Finale: Desserts! Do not leave without ordering dessert. The Chocolate Layer Cake was massive, moist, and rich. But the true "showstopper" is the Banana Pudding. It is legitimately competition-worthy. We actually told them they need to take it to the National Banana Pudding Festival in Tennessee next October!
As a certified BBQ snob, I can vouch for Smoke N' Bones BBQ. I had the 2 meat plate. Brisket and ribs. Tender, flavorful and juicy described both meats. Cowboy baked beans were very sweet, with chopped brisket mixed in for added texture. Mustard potato salad appears to be made with Yukon Gold potatoes. Moist and tender chunks. Wife had smoked turkey sandwich with Mac & cheese. She liked both. Prices are expensive but not any different than other BBQ joints. I'll be back. You ask, what qualifies me to be a BBQ snob. Check out my qualification photo.
We were headed to another restaurant in the shopping center, but smelled the pit, and decided we had to try it. My wife and I I got a three meat dinner to share, and took some home. Brisket was on point; sausage was amazing, but the star for me was the chicken. Smoked chicken breast that was moist, perfectly seasoned and not over the top. We had the cowboy beans and seasoned fries and both were great; and I am NOT a fry guy. We vacationed in Texas this fall, and I told my wife, I may never eat brisket at home (Memphis) again; I know where to get it now! Highly recommend the short drive to get to this place!
Googled good bbq places near me and I got to about the 3rd or 4th page of the suggestions and I came across Smoke N' Bones. What got my attention first was the Dino beef ribs. Seeing it was about a 30 minute drive, we were willing to drive it since good bbq is hard to come by. 1st experience was AMAZING and definitely won't be the last visit. I've already told my family about it and shared it with whomever I know. We got the 3 meat plate with brisket, smoked chicken, and pulled pork with two sides: Mac and cheese and baked beans with one of their amazing rolls. The bbq sauce was not good to us and the pulled pork was dry and shredded a lot instead of pulled.. We also got the sliced brisket sandwich and fries! Amazing! 1 Dino beef rib which was the best beef rib I've ever ate. So tender and juicy and seasoned perfectly. It didn't even need any sauce... neither did the brisket. It was amazing as well! So tender! Last but not least, we got a DBL smash burger to go. We asked for it to be deconstructed since we were eating it later. Listen! That was one of the BEST smash burgers I've ate. So overall, 8/10 and that's only because the bbq sauce wasn't to out liking and the pulled pork was dry and shredded. Other than that, it was pure perfection! This place is definitely worth the visit! We LOVED it and the staff was great! Keep up the great work! Even on a bad day, keep going! 🫶🏽 oh, also! Pricey, but I mean everything is expensive. They're literally taking their time with their food and smoking their meats and giving you quality foods and great portions too!
From a Texas boy who misses BBQ from the homeland, this place hits the mark. Super friendly staff welcomes you in like family and serves food the same. The smash burger is one of the best I’ve had in Arkansas. French fries have an incredible crisp outside and inner smoothness. The onion rings are delicious with the best crunch. If you like creamy mac n cheese that tastes like it was on the smoker, you’re welcome.
Had to check out this new place. We had the barbecue nachos and the smoked brisket baked potato. Both were delicious and the sweet tea was just right! The pies with the correct meringue on top looked too good to pass up. Unfortunately we were so stuffed from the food we had to take the pies home with us! We loved the nice friendly service and the relaxing atmosphere. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The tv was on and thankfully not too loud! We will be back!
I was so impressed with the taste and quality of the food. I preferred the 3 meat plate with smoked cheddar grits and cowboy beans as well as the smashburger with fries and a side of coleslaw for my husband. You cannot go wrong with any of these menu items. It was absolutely delicious and super flavorful with just the right amount of smoke flavor and I cannot wait to eat there again. The service was inviting and I considered the service I received from Kelly today as 5 star. I consider myself somewhat of a food connoisseur and this is by far my favorite and new best place to go for BBQ. Don’t take my word for it, Check them out for yourself! You will not be disappointed! Take it from me, Felicia the Realtor
Incredible. This is the best brisket I’ve ever had anywhere in central AR. I would go so far as to say it rivals my favorites (Franklin, Cattleack, Hutchins). The atmosphere is great too, but unfortunately I had to get it to go. Service is quick and the pit-masters are very friendly. 10/10
I drive past this place every day for work and today I decided to give it a try. I ordered a full Rack of Ribs, Double Smash Burger, and 1/2 pint of grits. The grits were full of flavor, the ribs were smoky, tender, with a crunchy/smoky coating fantastic, and the smash burger really hit the spot. We will definitely be going back and will make this our new stop when we are in the mood for some good BBQ. Would highly recommend giving this place a try for anyone who is curious about it.
The service was friendly, patient and super kind. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the BBQ baked potato and it was a good size and loaded down with toppings. My husband got the pulled pork sandwich and onion rings and he said they are the best onion rings he's had in a long time. He also said the sandwich was a good size and great flavor. We eyed the desserts, but were stuffed so definitely something to come back for. The pies look delicious 😋
My wife and I ate here for the first time today and it was absolutely amazing! It smelled amazing, had great service, friendly staff, and the food was excellent. I had a double smasher and the wife had a loaded baked potato with brisket. Seriously the best BBQ we have had here in Arkansas. The place is hard to spot from the road, you will drive right past it if you aren’t looking for it but it’s definitely worth the visit. On to desert!
Fabulous local and friendly owners. New brick and mortar location. Expanded menu. While I was not going to just eat and try their entire menu in one sitting I did get a sample of burnt ends and banana pudding. SOLID. The BBQ smell and look is super appetizing. Unfortunately I showed up for their smash burgers. Does not disappoint. It's a mixture of ground brisket and sirloin. It's got flavor and everything you would expect in a juicy smash burger. I look forward to trying the remainder of the menu.
We had the briskest, chicken, grits, and Mac n cheese. The sides are pretty good. The smoked cheddar grits were 5/5. The rolls were also delightful, it was hot and soft. The brisket was dry and tough but the chicken was decent. The service wasn’t the best initially but the banana pudding was the big redeemer. The banana pudding was amazing. Will be back for more banana pudding.
Their pork had a great flavor, and the brisket was among the best I’ve had in Central Arkansas. I thought their sauce was phenomenal, but my wife and kids didn’t like it. We appreciate that it seems to be a family-run business. However, their prices seem higher than other similar options in the region. The price is made worse by the high cost of their sides. Their menu would benefit from adding a Kids’ Menu. This would make it much more affordable for families. I’m not sure we will go back because we can find similar quality BBQ for better prices elsewhere.
