Great place for Korean food! Super glad I stopped by while in town. The banchan were super good and the staff were so friendly and attentive! I got the hotstone bibimbap and it was delicious and there is a good selection of soju!

It's a clean, friendly Korean restaurant with delicious food. I think it would have gotten a higher satisfaction score if there were some signs indicating parking. Anyway, the food was delicious. The female staff was especially friendly, which made me feel great. Oh, and the price was reasonable, so I was even more satisfied.

We had a wonderful experience at GUE ZIP in downtown Livermore! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared- best kimchi ever. The restaurant itself is clean, welcoming, and has a very inviting atmosphere. On top of that, the location is super convenient. We’ll definitely be back again!

I'm happy to see so many new options popping up in Livermore! The bibimbap was very tasty and they had plenty of other options that sounded good too! Looking forward to next time.

The place was spacious and very pleasant, and most importantly, all the food was delicious! There were so many menu options that it was hard to choose. (A delightful dilemma😝) . I’m thrilled that a Korean restaurant has opened in downtown Livermore! I’ll definitely be going there often in the future.

Wow! Wow! Wow…… I didn’t expect the quality of the food when I saw this place across the street. They offer extensive Korean menu and serve GIMBA that’s not easily found in Korean restaurants in my area. The food is delicious. We got vegetable tofu soup, bulgogi, and katsu gimba. I love that their bulgogi isn’t overly sweet but well seasoned, and of course I devoured the Gimba. Tofu soup wasn’t too overpowering but really flavorful too. I’d come back next time I’m in Livermore!

I am a Korean- American who’s lived in the Tri-Valley for nearly 10 years now and we’ve struggled to find a korean restaurant that hit all the marks and had some quality food. Seoul Gomtang in Pleasanton was my favorite for a long time but now Gue Zip has opened up a little closer to us so we had to try it out. This is by far my favorite Korean restaurant in Livermore thus far and quite possibly could end up being my favorite. So far we only tried a few of their items and had to do pick-up with our son still being too young to go out. But you can bet we’ll be back shortly to try out the rest of their items. For pick-up, we had the Jjanjang Myun (Black Bean sauce noodles), the korean style pork katsu, and kimbap. The Jjangjang myun was a 4.5 out of 5. The flavor was great and a lot of more savory than some of the sweeter places that serve the same dish. I enjoyed the ratio of the beef, onions, and toppings that went in to the sauce. I would say portion was just about right and what really stood out was the texture of the noodles as they were chewier and thicker than most in this area, which gave it the good noodle slurp that is signature for this dish. Only thing that would have been better with it was some korean red pepper flakes that go phenomenal with this dish. Normally, for take out, i would say it’s best practice for the sauce to be served in a separate packaging. However, due to the quality of the noodles, even after a 15 minute drive, the noodles were perfect and didn’t get soggy. So honestly, hats off to them for finding a way to not have to waste extra containers. We also got the kimbap, which i would give this a 4 out of 5. The taste was there but for the price point it was a little small. The ratio of the ingredients was great and not too stuff with just rice. Overall, i’d still prefer Sodam’s kimbap options in Dublin. But still a quality eat while you are here. The Korean Port Katsu gets a 5 out of 5 from me. The portion was spot on and it comes in a nice bento packaging. This came with a korean style salad, macaroni salad, pickled yellow radish, white rice, and 2 korean style pork katsu’s. The pork katsu was very tender, with the breading being crispy and flaky at the same time. The katsu sauce was very tangy but not over powering. The sides went well with this dish, especially the macaroni salad. Honestly, tough for me to rate this one though as I may be a bit biased as it tasted a lot like my mom’s home cooked pork katsu. Overall, this dish was very homie and glad the owner recommended it to us. We got a nice small container of classic sides in addition to our order, which contained kimchi, odeng (fish cakes), pickled cucumbers, and pickled zuchini. I’ve noticed some places we’ve visited prior would provide these sides in store but rarely when we order to go or for delivery. So this was a nice surprise. Next time, we were recommended to try the korean fried chicken. But we are also hoping to try the Ddakdori Tang (Chicken stew). They do have their liquor license so for any fans of ChiMek, this may be the new spot for Livermore natives. This place is located in Downtown Livermore so there is ample parking. Street parking can be a little tough if you are trying to park right on the main street as it is usually pretty busy. But the parking garage and lots are not too far and gives you a nice stroll through downtown. We are told they will have outdoor seating in the near future as well. So looking forward to coming back with our pup and kiddo. As for the restaurant itself, the interior design was very open and had a very nice touch of Korea mixed in with a very modern simple design. Cute signs across the server station / bar area had a fun Pocha (late night snack spot) vibe. The owner was very welcoming and the staff were very helpful and hospitable. P.S. apologies as we didnt take photos of the takeout. But will post again with more photos when we return to dine-in.

Portions were large and well worth their price (as in delicious). Their staff was extremely attentive and we never had to wait long for anything (water, appetizers, etc). This place should be far busier than it is; it was excellent! I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the hotstone bibimbap. It was slow when I arrived but got pretty busy by the time I left. The one server was doing all he could to take care of all the customers at once. I'll definitely go back!

Loved it here! Downtown Livermore and was craving that warmth of Korean food. Really bright, clean inside! Friendly staff! Food: Kalbi perfectly cooked good size portion Kimchi tofu soup level 2 not that spicy but good flavor Japchae was sooo good the mushrooms inside were very flavorful Banchan on pt! Friend got the asian pear soju cocktail, lightly sweet make sure to mix. But said it was what she wanted!

This was a great little restaurant serving Korean food. I ordered the Galbi and Seafood Tofu Stew/Soup and it was all delicious. The banchan/side dishes were great.

What caught my eye was their sign in front. It always pays to have your menu displayed. And there were a few people already in here and Korean food seem like a healthy alternative. Half of our meal was healthy. Well, maybe 2/3. All of the appetizers were of course healthy. They made pretty nice spicy and pickled veggies. And we had a fried mackerel which was delicious. It came with rice. I couldn’t resist getting fried chicken wings because they were relatively inexpensive in the picture looks so good. This was probably the most unhealthy part of our lunch. But it was still good. Just needed more salt. They were very nice and had good service. Very accommodating and very polite. The place is extremely clean and well kept. Nice and bright in an airy feeling, made for quite a pleasant lunch.

Walked in on a Saturday night and was seated immediately. Not busy at all. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Ordered the budae jungol (army stew) $55, drum and wing mix fried chicken $34, and seafood pancake $20. Army stew was a big portion and delicious. Seafood pancake and fried chicken were decent. Banchans were good and a wide variety. Prices and portions seemed fair. Service was fine. Overall, decent Korean spot, but nothing extraordinary

Food: I’m surprised that they didn’t get many reviews as the food is great! They provide more than 6 types of sides (spicy/non-spicy) and the dishes taste great! Service: the staff is super nice and patient. They are helpful and definitely help us have a nice time there. Ambiance: It’s very clean and comfy. It can be for couple, friends and family to enjoy some nice Korean food!

Had dinner here on a Sunday night with a friend and overall had a good experience! The restaurant itself was super clean and well-kept, which I really appreciated right off the bat. We ordered the Korean seafood pancake, which was great — large portion, fluffy inside yet crispy on the outside. The dipping sauce was pretty standard, but the pancake itself was definitely worth ordering. We also tried the galbi (Korean short ribs). The flavor was good, but it came out not sizzling, which was a little odd — first time I’ve had galbi served without that extra-hot, steaming presentation. It wasn’t cold, just would’ve been nicer if it arrived piping hot. The banchan were good overall, though the macaroni salad was the one miss — dry and a bit bland. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. All in all, solid spot for Korean food — clean, good portions, and I’d definitely come back to try a few other dishes

Clean, new and good service. Side dishes are great! But tofu soup has only a few portion of beef, and the broth base is not the traditional flavor we usually have in other Korean tofu house.

Stopped by for dinner. Efficient service and very friendly. Seafood pancake was delicious. The rest dishes were very mediocre. The beef and chicken tasted similar and way too sweet. Seafood tofu lacked flavors when we asked it no-hot and spicy. In comparison is someone who is craving for great but no spicy Korean food there are might be better choices in other townships.

We’ve been to this place twice. The first time we got a whole fried chicken and it’s bland. Basically not enough seasoning. We gave it another try. We got Sundubu-jjigae and Galbitang. With this kind of prices, we expected the quality of food to be better. The rice on the side was HORRIBLE! It’s very hard and dry. I don’t think I’ll visit a third time.
