This place is great. I went through the drive through yesterday and today, I spoke to “ABNER” both times and he is EXTREMELY ABOVE AND BEYOND respectful and polite. He recommended me some awesome extra things with my meal and had a really great attitude! I really hope corporate office can see this review and get him a bonus or something! He really deserves the recognition for all he does at his job. 🔥🙏👑

We went here yesterday for lunch. Lucy was so nice and very attentive. It looks like everyone goes to her for help. Give that employee a raise so you keep a good one! She was very accommodating when another employee was sitting next to us listening to music loudly on their phone. I assume on break. I politely asked them to turn it down, but she didn't understand me. She went to get Lucy and Lucy explained to her in Spanish what I was saying. She turned it down after that. No issues. Food was fantastic, too! We will be back! 👏

So happy to see them back in town! We came late on a weekend and went to the drive through. It was quick to get a combo for two, and the food was really good. Definitely infinitely better than a typical fast food place should be. The chicken was well flavored and extremely juicy. Seasoned to perfection. The combos also come with sides and corn tortillas which were also tasty. Honestly you can’t ask much from grilled chicken at a fast food place. Value wise was also really good.

I quite like this place. Grilled not fried/battered chicken with just a bit of flavor /rub on the skin. Great sides (steamed broccoli if you're trying to be careful, great mashed potatoes if you're not), Rice and beans if you're feeling more traditional. What's not to love?. Some pretty darn good prices for their family meal as well.

I love this chain for their flavourful grilled chicken. Super fast and warm service. Took away one star as the special flavour of the season - Mango Harbenaro - did not have any Mango flavour at all.

Love el Pollo loco. I’m glad they open in Denver. Food taste delicious and super fresh!! Got the Guacamole chicken burrito, and signed up for the reward member and got another burrito for free you can’t beat that. Gave 4 starts because employees tend to give the wrong order to people. It happens to me 2 times already. I hope they can correct that issue.. but so far great place to eat grilled fresh chicken!!!

Tried a leg and thigh. Both seasoned lightly and spiced lightly. Skin was good. Leg meat a little dry. Overall taste was okay. Sides of beans and rice were both good. Green salsa was really good and had a nice amount of spice to it. Service inside was fast and friendly.

I personally have never been a fan. My husband LOVES El Pollo Loco! As a surprise I went and got dinner to go for him. Us. I got an avocado burrito and I have to say it was quite good. Got my husband the 4 piece meal with beans and rice. He loved it. Said it felt old school for him. The line was long in the drive through but that's okay. The 4 stars is because I was asked 3 times if I wanted to order drinks and chips and guacamole. 1 time is sufficient. Will I be back. Absolutely. Like I said my husband loves this place.

My son and I had placed an online order, but we had forgotten to add churros. We drove up via the drive-through and asked the employee for a side of churros. However, he demanded a review and although we would have given one, we misunderstood him and seemingly did not give the response he wanted. He proceeded to deny our order and went to converse with a coworker. I am very displeased with the service at this location. I have never had an order refused simply for no reason. This man was Hispanic, black hair, and somewhat tall. I hope action can be taken.

Corporate please revisit this location. Ever since the initial opening the quality of chicken has degraded significantly. Today for lunch the chicken was so chewy it was inedible. I've given this location 4-5 additional chances before this and the quality of the chicken gets worse and worse. Its all due to the preparation as well. $15-$16 bucks for a meal this needs to be well executed. There is a reason there are few to no cars in the driveway during prime meal hours. HQ needs to revisit training here and the prep of their main dish and get this place back to its roots.

Definitely not "expertly fire-grilled". Chicken was way over cooked and dry without any flavor. The El Pollo Loco in Arvada is much better. Will not return to this location.

Truly I cannot trust any of the reviews here. This is some of the most terrible, processed, 80s school cafeteria food I've ever tried. The mac and cheese had zero cheese flavor, just tastes like pasta water. And the mashed potatoes? They taste like they came from a box of flakes and are topped with the grossest fake gravy. One star for the dry and barely edible chicken.

Worst fast food experience ever in Colorado... As someone that LOVED going to my local El Pollo Loco in Southern Cal, I was thrilled when they came to Colorado. Unfortunately I must have caught them on a bad day - service was terrible, the place was a mess, and the food was unforgivable - dry, tiny pieces of chicken and pitiful sidesn= not worth putting in my mouth. I threw away my order and drove home totally disappointed.

I Will never eat here again yesterday I ordered two Of their lunch specials and the chicken were super dry and the beans tasted bland and the rice had a bunch of bean juice in it that tasted like dish water. Me and my coworker got sick last night me getting the worst of it. I got food poisoning from them. I would not recommend eating her again.

Had a Chicken Burrito from Pollo Loco and there was almost no chicken in it -- very heavy on the rice and some beans but only two very small cubes of chicken meat in the whole thing. This was food provided to attendees at a City of Denver meeting, but based on my experience, I won't be buying one at Pollo Loco.
