Clearwater Fire-Grill & Catering receives mixed reviews. While some customers praise the chicken wings special on Wednesdays and the ranch dressing, others found the food quality inconsistent, with complaints about overcooked brisket, undercooked potatoes, and generally bland food.
Tip: If you visit, consider going on Wednesday for the chicken wings special. Michelle is a praised waitress.
It was our first time here and it was also karaoke night!!! We ate our fabulous dinner while watching the locals sing! Everyone was friendly and the food was EXCELLENT! We ordered sweet tea, crispy brussels sprouts (with bacon and nuts), firecracker shrimp (similar to bang bang) and ribs with tater tots and green beans. Every single thing we ate was AMAZING!!!! I highly recommend this place!
We always see lots of cars in the parking lot at ClearWater Fire-Grill & Catering and let me tell you the food here was awesome. The service was fantastic. We had dinner, drinks, an appetizer and dessert and it all was fantastic!! I love banana pudding and the banana pudding here is to die for. I got a piece of banana and cookie in every bite. The automosphere is very nice. Even though there were lots of cars outside you were not cramped inside. You had room to sit and eat. The folks at the front door greet you with a smile and are so polite. Our waitress Natalie was awesome and she laughed with us when we made jokes. She was super attentive and remembered everything we had asked for and kept coming to make sure everything was okay. We will most definitely be making a trip back here because there are so many things to try on the menu.
The food that's great!! I had the blackened mahi and shrimp. My wife had the Atlantic Salmon.
My husband and I got ClearWater to cater for our wedding. 10/10 recommend. The food was superb & the service was spot on. The ClearWater team was so efficient, kind and observant. Anna, the manager, made sure she filled my plate and delivered it to our table with appetizers and dinner. The team makes you feel totally secure that everything is taken care of and of course, also live up to that. We went to a friends wedding recently who also used ClearWater and again, an amazing experience. Excellent food and great service. Anna, again saved the day when she noticed me busy with my baby so she quickly grabbed my plate and filled and delivered it directly to my table. I only have good things to say. Thank you ClearWater!!
Amazing food great atmosphere me and my family loves it my mom liked it alot
Great brisket nachos and good drink selection. Can't remember the name, but my drink was delicious. Plenty of seating. On Saturdays after 9, they emulate a club atmosphere and turn on the DJ set up on a small stage.
Friday lunch. Moderately busy. Great service and delicious food. My sandwich was a scrumptious mess. Cheesecakes also yummy. All four of us were very satisfied with our experience. We will be back.
This was our first time here. We drove 45 minutes just to try this place!! So the food is amazing !! Started with the mozzarella bites. Then, the wife ordered bourbon BBQ chicken breast with mashed potatoes, and i ordered the cheddar bacon burger with fries. We will definitely return with our friends !! This restaurant is a must visit!! Their drink menu is very extensive, and they have a good selection of whiskey and bourbon's to choose from as well.
The pulled pork sandwich and the fries were amazing. Great dining experience
Definitely get the chicken wings & the shrimp. You won’t go home upset. Delicious combo.
Our waiter was polite, and helpful when I asked for suggestions. The fish and chips entree was fried evenly.
Great place for lunch the menu is fantastic and yummy I’ve never been disappointed
We came in a little late this evening but our waitress she was very sweet and gave great service my husband had the avacado Cobb and scraped the plate clean me and my sons burgers where absolutely delicious
A friend of ours was leaving on Monday, so this was a nice last place to eat together. I had one complaint about tonight, that normally doesn't happen: my coffee was ice cold. What I told the waitress about it she apologized and brought me a fresh hot cup.
Joanie & I have been frequenting Clearwater for several years and we find the food delicious and the service excellent our favorite server is Jeff Norton !!!
I have been to clearwater grill twice and both times we had jeff norton be our server he goes out of his way to help us out in any type of way first class gentleman
Food was amazing. Karaoke was amazing to. Very nice atmosphere
My aunt and uncle have raved about this place so we had to go. Food was absolutely amazing. I had the meatloaf with a side of red peeled potatoes and a side salad. My wife got seared chicken in a artichoke / spinach sauce and it was heavenly. For desert we got a chocolate chip cookie in a hot skillet with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend this place and even our waiter Ethan was top notch just like the food!! Will be back.
Clearwater Grill was the caterer for my daughter's wedding and they were top notch!! I would 100% percent recommend. The food was so delicious and the whole process was so smooth from start to finish and the staff worked very hard to ensure a great wedding reception. Thank you to Clearwater!
Michael at the bar has great energy and is incredibly attentive. He does not miss a beat. The service provided was stupendous. Enjoyed the tater tots with Sriracha ranch and the great conversation with my new favorite bartender. Will definitely be coming back!
Had lunch, around !:00 pm Tuesday 10/15. Excellent service, appreciated promptness, courteous service and being informed of that days special. Hamburger, which we both ordered. We asked for medium rare, reflecting a pet peeve of both that unless we specify MR, it usually comes pack overcooked. To our delight it was perfect , just as we ordered. My friend asked for fries to be extra crispy, which they were. So Kudos to the Chef, and our very efficient and courteous server. We shall return !!!
We came for dinner on Friday night. Our server Alice was awesome and the food was delicious!
We came to your restaurant to celebrate Christmas today. It was such an enjoyable time. The food was awesome and we never felt hurried. Our server, Lun, was amazing. She really took great care of us. It was a special afternoon for a group of old friends who do not get enough time together. Thank you! We’ll be back!
Celebrating our anniversary, we chose to check this place out. I've seen it many times before but never stopped in. The staff is amazing. Very courteous and prompt. Drinks and an appetizer of Truffle Fries. We ordered the ABBQ Pulled Pork and smoked dry wings with Smoked Gouda Mac N Chesse. The presentation was mouth-watering. The pulled pork had nice crunchy but not burnt pieces of meat, and the Bourbon Sauce was good with it.. The wings were delicious with blue cheese, ranch, and Buffalo sauce. I added some butter to the mac n cheese because, why not, and it was a wrap. I give it a ten out of ten. Treat yourself, and don't forget to tip.
This place is right out amazing !!! There is soo much good food on the menu it took us awhile to make it past the appetizers! Ohh yeah.... How was the service you ask ? Our waitress Kyler was on point. She checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were doing ok. If you are in the area you need not look any farther than ClearWater Fire & Grill !!!
Clearwater Fire Grill rocks. The staff is incredible and the food is great. The smoked ribs either dry rubbed or sauced are fantastic.
ClearWater catered our wedding in August of 2020 and we were so lucky to find them! Everything was absolutely delicious, affordable, and the staff went far above and beyond what we expected. The owner Nathan, takes care of your every need and is wonderful to work with -- his professionalism and kindness are truly unparalleled. Throughout our wedding planning we had to reschedule three times due to a death in the family and COVID shutdowns, and he generously rescheduled our date with complete compassion and understanding -- even offering to cater the funeral of our family member which was kindness that my husband and I will never forget. Throughout the reception, the staff handled more than I was capable of keeping track of including bringing me my favorite drink and an appetizer plate directly after the ceremony. They facilitated having my guests come to the buffet in an orderly and quick fashion, and even helped us cut and serve our wedding cake when we had only hired them for dinner. I also had a young wedding guest with a food allergy and the staff did more than I imagined to be accommodating to them, bringing them a specially prepared plate filled with fresh fruit and ensuring they were safe and comfortable. The safety of all my wedding guests that day is a testament to ClearWater's commitment to sanitation and safety during this time of COVID. So many of our guests commented on the wonderful food and service provided by ClearWater, and we can't thank them enough for making our big day more perfect than we could have imagined.
The restaurant was excellent. We had great service and great food. We had the Mushroom Swiss Burger, which was draped in mushrooms and cheese with shoestring fries and fish and chips. The fish in chips came with two medium sized pieces and a side of creamy coleslaw and a side. It wasn't greasy and had a lit of meat on it. Delicious! We will definitely be back to try the plethora of other items on their menu from pastas to baby back ribs and everything in between. The prices seemed reasonable.
We stopped in to grab a bite (been meaning to do it for a while) and the staff was friendly and helpful. We ordered two of the 10oz sirloin steaks. One was medium rare and the other was medium. The medium came out perfect and didn't need any sauce. The medium rare came out well and I pointed that out. The staff quickly remade the whole dish. The second steak came out a perfect medium rare. Very pleased with the service and the food. Two wings up. @MeetMrOwl #BirdLife #OwlsTweet #feedingTheRaptor #NomNomNom
We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Clearwater Grill tonight! The Firecracker Shrimp were delicious and my husband burger and fries were great too! Friends enjoyed the crispy chicken sandwich! Reagan was an excellent server and Michelle was so friendly too!! Loved it! Gail and Greg
Our server was new at his job, and was very friendly and had a great sense of humor. He treated us like VIPS!
I do like Clearwater Grill. I particularly liked our lovely server yesterday, Michelle! I appreciate being able to get the Firecracker sauce with Chicken Fingers, when asked.
Went out a day early for Valentine’s Day our server, she was lovely we had a great dinner thanks to her and our food was delicious!
On Monday, we were with 43 people which is our cruise group. Jeff and Ali did a wonderful job. The manager Matt choreographed our perfect lunch. We appreciate everyone at Clearwater. See you soon!
We love Clearwater Grill. We go several times every month! Our Server Jeff keeps us well informed on your daily specials! Love Burger Tuesdays!
The burger and tatter tots were delicious! The staff were friendly and quick. Nice menu options.
I must admit, the food here is pretty good....I had the firecracker shrimp for appetizer and the blackened mahi Mahi with shrimp as my entrée....delicious! Also this restaurant is very convenient for people that live nearby. Premium food at lower cost and close to home. Can't beat that...
FANTASTIC experience! We got the crispy Brussel Sprouts and Philly eggrolls and the sprouts were banging. Our server was nice, speedy, and attentive. We got the seafood platter, chicken fingers, grilled chicken, steak, and the French dip. Everything was great, including the salads and sides. We didn't eat it all to specifically save room for the banana cookie dessert. Fresh Bananas, ice cream, caramel, and whipped cream all over a banana cookie. That dessert was bomb, and so was the banana cheesecake. We ordered some to go. You MUST try this place!! We will be back.
Trevor is an awesome bartender/waiter!! He is personable, reliable and always makes you feel welcome!! Love the food, atmosphere! Trevor is a super asset!!
Nice dining room. Fun looking bar. Stage for live music. The food is just fancy enough without being too fancy. What else do you need? The shrimp and grits are out of this world. A little too rich given the portion size. I recommend getting one and splitting it and then getting something a little healthier. But it was very good. My wife and I shared a piece of cheesecake which was also outstanding.
We had a great dining experience this evening. Our meal was great (even accommodating my request for a vegetarian NY Reuben - “hold the corned beef, please”) We especially enjoyed Ali - our lovely, vivacious waitress. Thanks, team.
Well, my wife and I live close by. We've driven past thousands of times over the past decades. Figured it was a little dive bar. We were wrong. Stopped in tonight and had a great meal, great service and reasonable price. We'll be back.
We had a great meal tonight - hubby had the CWG burger & I had the blackened fish tacos. Both were excellent. Our waitress was very friendly & attentive. They have recently updated the decor & seating. You won’t be disappointed.
We had a luncheon yesterday with our yoga class members. It was a lovely affair. Manager Jeff took great care of us and Elisha the server did a great job managing our large group. The back room in the restaurant is great for private gatherings. You just have to ask them to turn the music down. Food was good, prices were good and our group really enjoyed it all. Thank you!
I visited Clearwater Grill on a Monday to get their firecracker shrimp special for $7. The presentation has been changed from a metal bowl to a plate with the shrimp on a bed of lettuce. I get the sauce on the side so I can decide how much to use for every bite, YUMMY! It was so delicious. I’m going back for more. I had this with a fish n’ chips dinner. The white fish was awesome.❤️👍❤️
My husband and I have been coming on Wednesdays for dinner because we love the chicken wing special and also the server Michelle. Clearwater will not give me all flats, but Michelle request and they give me as many as they can. I am pleased with that. Clearwater has some of the best ranch dressing around. My husband usually get something different each time and he is Mostly happy with what he orders. I do not feel that the bathroom is clean enough I usually avoid using it.
Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had — all thanks to our exceptional waitress Ali! From the moment we were seated, she was on top of everything: drinks never ran low, she was quick, attentive, and genuinely friendly. What really set her apart though, was her spot-on food recommendation. The chopped brisket sandwich she suggested was nothing short of amazing. You could tell she knew the menu inside and out and actually cared that we had a great meal. If you’re headed to Clearwater, I hope you’re lucky enough to get her as your server. Highly recommend this place — and especially her!
Me and my girlfriend just moved to the area and we decided to try out this place last night and we went in not knowing what to expect and boy were we blown away!! we came around 8:30 on a tuesday so it wasn’t very busy perfectly fine with us lol and our server micheal was awesome very friendly and had a great attitude and got our food out fast! now to the food i got the pick 3 and got the steak, fire grilled chicken and the crab cake and i have had some good steaks from restaurants but this one blows them out of the water when you can taste the grill on the steak you know it was cooked perfect!!! crab cake was also very good long story short this place was a great find for me and my girlfriend they have different options for everyone!! and we will definitely be coming back and i will definitely be recommending this place to all my family and friends to try out!!
Good food and friendly staff. See y'all again real soon. Thank you.
Food here is awesome. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Service was slow so make sure to plan accordingly. I couldn't tell if the person was new or just overwhelmed. I would go back regardless though because they were polite and happy to help but just slow and forgetful which made me think they were new. I really enjoyed all the food and we ordered appetizers, entree, and deserts. Super great place!
Hooking up with my GF and her son and his GF, we decided to finally try out this highly talked about location. Plenty of parking and ensconced in wood, we came in to business on a brunch Sunday winding down.. Service was very friendly but the food took a bit long than it should have. fortunately is was hot and delicious. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage all the usual suspects. cant wait to go back and try their lunch and dinner.
I visited ClearWater for the first time yesterday. My son was treating me to dinner. When we walked in, there was no one to greet us. After standing around for about five minutes, my son suggested going to the bar tables. That's where we encountered an employee. The customer service was great, and she was apologetic for not greeting us. I ordered ribs and chicken with baked potato and green beans. The ribs were delicious. However, the sauce I ordered had a strange aftertaste. I told the waitress, and she offered to have the meal prepared again. This was great customer service, as it ensured that I enjoyed my meal. I was disappointed with the do-over or replace ribs at Clear Water. The outside of the ribs was badly charred, and the ribs were dry and hard when I tried to eat them. I attempted to eat around the charred outside of the ribs, which were black, not like the first order of ribs I received. The green beans and baked potato were delicious. However, my Coke was bland, with no fizz or Coke flavor at all. The meal was somewhat enjoyable because the customer service was great even though my replace ribs were charred. Unfortunately, I had to contend with flies and gnats throughout my meal. I spent most of the time fanning my food to keep the insects from landing on it. I had diarrhea late in the morning that smelled like the ribs I ate. My stomach was queasy as well. Because of this, I will not patronize this restaurant again or recommend it. I visited Clear Water Restaurant in Locust Grove. The restaurant looked clean and had a great atmosphere. The service was attentive. Unfortunately, I got sick after eating there and won't be going back. I wanted to take photos of my food at Clear Water Restaurant, but I was too busy fanning flies and gnats away from my plate. The flies and gnats were a real distraction.
Very extensive menu, for a late Saturday lunch everything was so what slow, some orders erred but corrected with a smile.
I got the pulled pork sandwich, it was good if not a little greasy. The fries I got were a tad on the dry/bland side and over half the portion I got was well overcooked and nie inedible. Other then that a great time service was on top of things
We tried this place for the first time this past weekend. We went during a relatively slow time as there were maybe 2-3 other tables other than us. The food was phenomenal. I ordered the smokehouse burger medium well, it was more on thr extra well done side but it was still easily one of the top 3 burgers I've ever had. The mozzarella appetizer was amazing. The service could use some work as we seemed rushed. After my husband's soda had been empty for 5ish minutes our waitress finally came back around and asked if we needed any boxes, my husband asked for a refill and we got 2 boxes for our kid's food as we were still eating. She brought them back, asked if we wanted any dessert and we said no and then she gave us our check, by this time my drink was empty but I didn't bother asking for a refill nor did she offer one as we were just ready to go. We spent almost $80 on food, I just expected a bit more attentiveness; at least more than one cup of soda at the very least.
With beers on tap, an extensive cocktail list, and menu varied enough to meet any appetite, Clearwater Fire Grill is a really, really nice spot to kick back and enjoy. The staff is ultra friendly, and the service quick and efficient. Feels like a nice mix of BBQ / Smoked Meats, pastas, salads and stacked high handhelds. Full service bar featuring your lica sports hero's, whats not to enjoy. Its one of the dining gems of Locust Grove. Go kick back and hang out.
My fiancé and I have been to Clear Water before several years ago and Loved it! We live a little further away and wanted to return. Jocelyn our server was great! She was very informative and helpful with what ever questions we asked about menu items. All though we were super full and are taking home some of our meal we couldn’t pass up desert. Thank you for another great experience.
Service perfect i ordered french toast came with2 eggs and a meat for 10.99 i choose bacon i also got a side of grits. The grits best i ever had highly recommend. French toast way to much cinnamon. It was like eating spoonfools it left a grity taste in my mouth i only ate the edges eggs cooked as ordered and bacon was good
It's just off Route 3 and easy to access. Staff is super helpful but currently a bit short on numbers. They are actively looking for new employees to help with the shortage. Many locals stop here for dinner. They do host a brunch on Sundays.
A Lake of the Woods restaurant, local bar, with a big menu. Food was okay. Nothing to get too excited about. Service was ok, it can be a lot better. Environment? Okay. Just a place to get some food. Steak cubes sauce...too salty. Burger was ok. Salmon was lonely 🙁 🥺.
I always optimistic of a restaurant barbecue when I could smell the barbecue when I entered the restaurant. This restaurant is not exclusively a barbecue restaurant so maybe I should’ve had that optimism. The brisket was so overcooked so tasteless. It made me sad we were there with a large group, so maybe that affected our service, but it was kind of confusing, I do appreciate the waitress did make individual bills for each group, so that was really nice. The salad didn’t come out at the same time. I never got my soup so I asked for a different side and they did accommodate me. The crab dip was pretty tasty and the couple that had the nachos really enjoyed them. The people who ordered the pretzels were very very confused because it said of a very pretzel and they were pretzel sticks, and they said they were kinda doughy. I think the winner for appetizers was the queso. It looks really good very cheesy and they really really enjoyed it. My friend enjoyed his beef tips a lot, and the Ruben as well. My ribs on the barbecue was good but like I said the brisket was not when I have to ask for barbecue sauce to cover a brisket you know we’re in trouble. They are able to accommodate large groups, but have a very small parking lot.
It's ok. The server was fantastic. Food was average, overpriced, and the ribs were horrible. I've been to this place a dozen times since moving to the area a year ago, and each time, there's always an issue. Just make the drive to Fredericksburg or Culpeper.
This was our 2nd visit to this ClearWater. The first time we went, everything was great, so we decided to ride back out here and try it again. Wish we would have skipped the 25 mile drive out. It took a while to be seated. After a while our server arrived and he took our drink order and we ordered a 6 piece buffalo wing appetizer. We usually don't order wings because they're so expensive, but they advertised they smoke their wings. At $10 for 6, we were hoping for greatness. The wings were served in a little stainless steel bowl, we didn't get the blue cheese we asked for, nor did we get small appetizer plates. The wings were just placed on the table and the server walked off. I was finally able to catch his attention and after a minute or so he came over. I asked for plates and the blue cheese and a few extra napkins. We both enjoyed the first wing we had, tasty and just the right amount of buffalo flavor. The next 4, were just rubbery and chewy, and while they were cooked through, they were just not very good. The blue cheese dressing was really good. My partner got the chopped brisket sandwich and fries. It was small, like 1 inch or so sliced brisket which was very dry. Didn't have a nice smoky brisket flavor at all. He said it was more like just dried up roast beef. I got the fish and chips. At first glance the 2 small pieces of haddock looked like they might be dry, but they were actually the highlight of the entire lunch. Nice and flaky and moist. The fries we both got were just ok. They are very tiny shoestring (think potato sticks in a can). They were not crispy or overly hot, just bland and ok. We were not offered desert, so we decided to just pay and leave. Not sure if I will give them another try or not. I see other reviewers say it's hit or miss, and that seemed to be the case here.
Today we were very disappointed in our usual go to restaurant. This is not the first time they messed up our order. But today both main courses were screwed up and I’m very upset. I’m posting a picture for the manager to see how bad it is this time and why we asked for the money back. We ordered main salmon meal with loaded potatoes. We got half a salmon and no potatoes. My husband’s order was two skillet chicken. The sides were right but I don’t know what they put in his chicken. I ended up have to make dinner. Please do better.
More of a bar. Burgers didn't impress, as they were under seasoned. Fries would have been better if hot. Staff was very nice and handled a difficult patron well. Nice new feel, so good atmosphere. Might try again in the future. Their catering is really good though. Thus may try again.
ClearWater is close to my home so it is convenient. I find the food is OK, much like every other Americana restaurant, one step above bar food. The service is OK. The atmosphere is also OK, sort of drab, it really needs a facelift. Lots of locals patron there which is fine. I would rather something a bit more up scale for this area.
I really wanted to like Clearwater Fire-Grill, but unfortunately, the takeout experience left a lot to be desired. We placed a pickup order that totaled just over $85, and what we received was nowhere near worth that price. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it came out completely well done—dry, overcooked, and lacking flavor. The mashed potatoes were bland and tasted like they came from a box. The sausage in the shrimp and grits was extremely overcooked—rubbery, dry, and almost burnt. One of the most disappointing parts was the crab dip. At pickup, it was completely cold, and the cheese on top hadn’t even melted. It felt like it had been prepped and forgotten, then thrown into the bag last minute. To make matters worse, two of our sides were missing entirely. When we called, they apologized and asked us to come back to get them. I did, and while they did comp us $20 off our next meal, it really didn’t make up for how lackluster the entire meal was. Maybe their dine-in experience is better, but based on this visit, I wouldn’t recommend their takeout. Everything about it felt rushed and underwhelming. They get 2 stars for the simple fact of trying to comp the missing sides. Barring that, it would be a 1 star for this experience.
My son ordered milk, they gave him a glass of sour milk. The oj my got didn't taste like juice more like some cheap drink. The food itself was good.
After reviewing the menu and online reviews, I was very excited to order dinner from Clearwater Fire-Grill… Unfortunately, my family was very unimpressed with the food that we received from their establishment. Based on the menu and reviews, we were very excited to try the crab cakes and crab stuffed haddock. What we received (for about $80) was a kind of crab meal, with tons of filler and very little actual crab meat. These were very much like some frozen crab cakes that you’d get from the grocery store, so needless to say we were all very disappointed with our meals. Perhaps next time we’ll stick to their land based selections (steak, chicken, etc.). Reviews seem to be great with most of them.
We used to go here for lunch all the time. I typically got their Caesar salad or the Philly cheese steak. What we were noting was a decline of sorts. Their waitstaff is amazing, they really are. There is an older gentleman who, when we come in for lunch shortly after they open for lunch, never looks at you. He stands behind that first counter with his nose peering at receipts I guess is what they were. The first time we saw him he hollers, yes hollers, for someone to seat us. Today we went and there he was. He is the first person we saw. He wouldn't lift his head, nothing. No welcome no smile no nothing. No clue who he was but he clearly doesn't like customers. The hostess was very friendly though. Be warned they have changed their menu. My favorite Caesar salad has been removed and the steak and cheese which I adored was replaced with a steak and cheese, no mayo and frig cold coleslaw on top. To say it was dry was an understatement. The poor waitress was embarrassed for I thought I was getting my usual steak and cheese. I am confident that the roll this thing had holding dry meat and cold coleslaw was stale, the bread kept tearing. Again, our server was super friendly and accommodating. The waitstaff would be far more rewarded at an establishment that stands behind great food.
I have been there for brunch several times. Today, my father ordered a hamburger and while he was eating it, he pulled something out of his mouth. It was a twist tie. There was a white twist tie in his hamburger! I have never been any where and found that in my food. Also, I've had the chicken tenders there before and loved them. This time, I ordered the chicken and mini waffles. The chicken was not at all how I remembered it. It was dry and looked like sliced chicken breast lightly beaded, not the light crispy battered tenders I remembered. The waffles were super good though. The bathrooms are always dingy and dirty. Needless to say, after finding the twist tie in the hamburger, I don't think I will be returning anytime soon.
Well, I didn't stay!! I read so much about the shrimp and grits online and wound myself up to have them and when I went in and mentioned them, they said they don't carry them on the menu anymore !!!!!
I really really wanted to like this restaurant because it’s so close to where I live. It would’ve been awesome to have REALLY good food near home. Well, the food wasn’t good. Not even close. My boyfriend and I spent $100 and left hungry. Leftovers weren’t even worth taking home. The service was excellent however! The only reason I can think of that this place has so much business is that locals don’t feel like driving into Fredericksburg. Anyway, On my way to Walmart to get dinner ingredients
Wait staff forgot two items and had to wait as my already served eggs were broken. Potatoes were partially raw in most of them. I don't think I have ever been served over easy eggs with the yolk running on the plate and how does a waitress not notice half the food is missing from the order????? Isn't that her job. Oh and although it wasn't very much but the tip was altered which is illegal. It was not substantial so I am letting it slide but dear you cannot round up your tip, sorry.
I’ve been here twice now and every time I’m left unsatisfied. First time I ordered pick up - yall the burger was drenched in grease and the french fries were so sad and soggy. Should’ve been fried longer! Second time I went to dine in. The server seemed scared to approach our table or had anxiety when speaking to us? I am a server so I understand but it was very weird and off putting. Restaurant had an odd smell and once again those French fries are so bad! I don’t know how you can mess them up both times lol, they were legit uncooked.
We ate at this “restaurant” last night, 9/13/2025. We were a party of 6. The restaurant was nearly empty and after our experience I can understand why. Our server was surly and argumentative, forgot things we ordered and was just not up to providing the quality of service we have received in the past at this establishment. The quality of our food was hit or miss, some was delivered cold, some over seasoned, some not seasoned at all. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We live out of town and have family in LOW. We’ve visited Clearwater many times in the past but will probably decide on other options in the future. This place has gone down hill despite some remodeling. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.
First time was great. This time was horrible. I ordered ribeye steak . It looked like someone ran over it with a truck. Also very dry. Potatoes were ok but cold. Apple side tasted like chemical. Boyfriend got chicken Alfredo. Honestly looked like soup instead of sauce. The only yummy thing was mozzarella appetizer. Music way too loud. Choice of music a bit annoying. I understand there's a mix of crowd, but too many rap type songs and too loud. Waiter very nice and thorough. I really think it depends on who is cooking as to whether the food will be great or nasty. We were there at 3:30 on a Sunday.
The food was barely edible. I had ribs, baked potato and cinnamon apples. The apples had very little cinnamon and were overcooked to the point of being mushy. The baked potato was undercooked a hard inside. I guess the ribs were probably good if I could have tasted then under the mountain of BBQ sauce. My husband's salad came after his meal. The service was horrible. The waiter would breeze by occasionally. 3 staff members standing at the front entrance/counter chatting. This is not the first time we had been there, but will be the last.
Only good thing about this place are the servers. They were all super sweet and polite. The food: ordered nachos, came out with cold With unmelted cheese. Even the kids at our table noticed. French dip was fine but after an hour of getting home, both my brother in law(ordered crab cakes) and I were throwing up The drink: someone is definitely watering down the bottles. I ordered a jack on the rocks and it came out almost clear and tasted like flat ginger ale. I sent it back and the exact same thing came out. If you are a manager reading this, go take your current open jack Daniel’s and compare it to an unopened one and tell me someone isn’t diluting it. I would avoid this place unless you’re getting frozen chicken tenders or mini corn dogs.
For the first time, and on my first bite of food, I realized my it was inedible are some of the waitress from across the room, I placed my plate on a nearby table and told her this is the most horrible I've ever been delivered at a restaurant. It was some sort of burnt and hard, leathery, stringy hard baby back ribs. It was truly inedible. My girlfriend thought I was exaggerating. She took a bite and spit it out. The waitress asked if I would like something else instead. I said I would like the meatloaf as my a dinner companion also had. How can you screw that up? Time went on and I did not have anything in front of me when everybody had finished The waitress came back and asked me if I would like my order in a to go box. She didn't ask if I wanted it on a plate. Unreal. So I said yeah. Put it in a togo box. Obviously I'm not going to recommend this place to anyone. The staff seemed unskilled and incapable of doing their job. That includes the wait staff and whoever the hell was in the kitchen.
It's been a while since I've been at this establishment. Restaurant wasn't too busy. Was sat fairly quickly. Our waitress was great. Ordered a burger and fries, and a steak with sweet potato fries. The Burger was fine, the french fries were cold. I had to get a second opinion and she agreed on the fries being cold. The fries were fixed by presumably a manager. The steak was 90% fat. We decided to order the Reese's peanut butter stack with a cookie. 15 minutes later still nothing. Asked the waitress she advised that the chef is just moping around. She went back to the kitchen and came back a minute later with a pitiful looking desert. There was barely any ice cream on the cookie, no whipped cream. Basically we were eating a cookie. I'm not a picky person but this was ridiculous especially what we paid. The waitress took the ice cream off and she was great considering the circumstances.
Service was horrible as was food even worse! Second time with bad food and service, will never go back. The owner has new management every 6 months and just gets worse every time. 10 years ago they were very good, but if owner does step up they should just sell out and quit!
We have eaten at this restaurant numerous times in the past. Our son lives nearby and this has always been our favorite place to eat when we visit. Last week, we were so disappointed that I doubt we’ll return. Our server made an audible noise when told by the host that he’d been given a party of six. This was at 6:30 pm on a Saturday night and the place was practically empty. Usually we would have to wait for a table during previous visits. That should have been the first clue… Our server was surly and argumentative at best. When my husband ordered the Cobb salad with the flank steak (clearly described on the menu) the waiter stated that they don’t serve flank steak. When we pointed to it on the menu, he argues about it with my husband. My daughter in law’s Mac and Cheese was cold an unseasoned. Another person at our table was served Mac and Cheese that was piping hot and well seasoned. My broccoli was served without butter and I never received the butter I requested. My steamed shrimp were over cooked and absolutely swimming in what can only be described as Old Bay soup. When my daughter in law’s went to the bar to request more ice water, a manager just stood in the corner playing on his phone and totally ignored the request. She also ordered cheesecake to go. The server brought it on a plate and handed her a box. The acoustics and ambiance are now that of a sports bar, not a restaurant. The only reason I opted to give any stars at all is because the cocktails were on point.
Place used to be great. Been going for 13+ years. Food is inconsistent now in terms of quality. I walked in the other night and the bartender was nowhere to be found, sat at the bar for over 10 min without anyone acknowledging us. Then when she finally came over, she immediately looked at my Nalgene water bottle before saying or doing anything else and said I can’t have my water in there. So, we left. I’ve been going there long enough to notice the slow decline and the place could use training in basic customer service skills, more especially since it relies on locals to stay open.
