I went here with my family, my parents, and my sisters family. It was a group of 10 with 5 small children. The waitress we had was so nice, helpful and understanding. Add on that that the burgers were great

Simply put, one of the best places to go in Lompoc or anywhere near. A local secret that has people from around the area coming back for more. Juicy burgers, great tangy sauce, crisp fries, and the absolute best onion rings. You won't be disappointed!

I remember going to Tom's in from 1985-1994 when my wife and I were at Vandenberg AFB. For some reason today I thought about burgers and wondered "Is Tom's still around?" IT IS!! I can't wait to come back and get my X Burger!! Amazing food.

Have loved the Educated burger since I was a kid. A-Z and more. Colorful staff and just all around awesome burgers. They don't take credit or debt so bring cash or local check.

I had a unique burger here that was amazing! Instead of a top and bottom bun, it had grilled cheese sandwiches in place of each. The food quality was great and the staff were all friendly and prompt. Definitely coming back here anytime I’m in town!

I have been eating at Tom's for years and will continue to do so while I live here. The staff is fantastic and always friendly and helpful. The menu is large with a myriad of different burgers to order from. If you're like me and maybe you dont want a burger you could order my favorite which is the chicken strip basket. They can get extremely busy especially around dinner time and you can reserve seats if you have a large party coming to dine. I believe it is still cash only which can be an inconvenience to some if you only carry cards. Parking can be tricky during peak hours but well worth the trouble, just be careful when backing up because the lot can become cramped.

Best fried burgers with any style and anything you can think of on them. You don't have to order off their very silly menu. You can order your burger any style with anything on it, cooked any way you wanted any kind of cheese anything. They use California fresh beef , and they're very detailed-oriented. The servers are fast and friendly locals. The scenes are pretty much the locals or people lucky enough to find it. They have the best sweet potato French fries that you will find around here! I usually get a double burger with double cheese , Pickles & BBQ sauce underneath my cheese and a full order (which is huge) of my sweet potato fries because I love to reheat em and eat them later.

GREAT BURGERS, when a burger goes beyond the normal high regard and becomes something that even the gods drool over you know you’re in the right burger heaven, aka TOMS BURGER, either that or you just got into a gnarly accident and died and you’re in regular heaven, either place, you’re getting a really great burger. all the burger with-its are fresh and good, the bun is big soft and perfect, and the star of the show “mister burger pattie” is totally, totally awesome, he deserves an oscar for his performance. and let’s not forget the supporting cast. the servers are nice pretty ladies and the guy at the grill, excited to slap mister pattie on the fire for what will surly be another satisfied customer. so yeah, go to TOMS BURGERS, have a few things and watch the burger show. performances are all day long. MOST IMPORTANTLY: reach deep in your pockets and get out those dead presidents and leave a generous TIP for your servers and kitchen staff. P.S. i’m 60yrs old and my opinion of TOMS is based on the hundreds of burger places i’ve visited all my life. i know a few things about what it takes to make a great burger. especially the ones i make at home. thank you

Delicious food and what a huge menu for burgers wow! The staff was friendly and attentive and the place was crowded which lets you know just how popular they are. A big menu so you have lots of options, definitely worth it.

Haven't been there since I moved to Arizona 23 years ago. Grew up eating the french fries for lunch almost every day at school break. 1981 if I remember. We're in town for the holiday and now that I know they have 1of the owner's on board, see you tomorrow. Great place and I miss it. All my buddies worked their and a lot of fun memories. Thanks Tom's

I haven't been there in over 20 years! It was nice to stop in for breakfast, be greeted warmly, and received exceptional service. Food was great, service exceptional, & atmosphere hasn't changed since my last time there; warm and inviting!

The definition of what a burger is... Classic! Indescribable amounts of flavors going on with each of the 26, yes I said 26 different kinds of burgers themed literally from A-Z. They serve many other tasty 😋 dishes if burgers aren't your favorite. Salads, soups, as well as a kid's menu. The woman who served me was probably one of the most sweetest I believe Owners I've actually seen or have serve and work along with her staff. She noticed me right away and was kind enough to off an outside heated which she had to change out the propane tank as well and get the family that had come in seated, and warmed up too. It really made me glad that I had stopped in and even though I really don't get to get out much. It made me grateful that I stopped there instead of your run of the mill burger joint. Tom's is definitely a spot people may want to go revisit or visit for the first time.

Classic local burger joint. Plywood tables, kitschy menu, really good food, great service. Big portions, especially the French fries! Even if you are just passing through, you have to stop here.

Great burgers! Awesome onion rings, and killer salads. A great place to take the kids, for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My favorite thing is the G burger with extra extra Jalapenos <3 in a lettuce wrap for low carb.

Passing through town and found this gem! High ratings for a reason. Everything was fantastic, hot, fresh, very cold beer, great waitress. Burgers were outstanding. Sweet potato fries were outstanding. Reasonably priced. Way to go, Tom!

DELICIOUS. Affordable, fries are hot, burgers are perfectly cooked. I get the wishing well, cream cheese and olives (odd I know) but there is a burger for everybody! And the wait staff are so friendly. IMHO best burgers in Lompoc.

Hands down our favorite burger place in Lompoc. Their onion rings are some of the best I've ever had. The servers are friendly and quick. Lots of outdoor dining options, but we always get ours to go.

This place has had fantastic burgers for years & years! Sure, their beef isn't quite what it used to be taste wise. However, the service is tremendous & the value is fantastic. You really can't go wrong at Tom's!

They have the tastiest burgers in Santa Barbara county. Fries are great too. They quite often are doing a benefit night for some local cause. Great people who care about the food they serve and the community they are in.

Toms has always been a local favorite! The burgers are great and options are endless, once you try them all, you can start combinations if you so choose! Portions are generous and customer service is top notch!

Old school burger diner that serves big juicy burgers and basket fries. The server was very tentative with us and made sure we had everything for our meal. Also don’t miss out on the table seasoning for your fries.

What a cool spot for breakfast! The service was warm and friendly, the food was delicious! Bacon was among the best I’ve had anywhere, and they served me 4 strips!! I’ll bet the the lunch is just as good or better. This is one of those spots that locals support and cherish. Thanks Tom’s!

One of the Best Burgers I have ever had. I was stationed out at Vandenberg AFB back in 2003 and ate here only twice but still compare all others burgers to the masterpiece Tom's had. They have so many burgers it will make your head spin. They are seasoned and cook perfect and no condiments are necessary. Like I said I still compare other burgers to this place. Wish I was back here again to have another. The prices are great compared to what you get in a restaurant anywhere else. Enjoy it!

Best burger place in town. I don't live here. I live out of state but when I come to visit my family I make a point to stop in. If I lived closer I would be in more regularly. I have never had a bad experience. Great customer service and friendly. I wish more places were this good!!!

I think that they have the best Patty Melt for miles around. I have had it with the fries and I have had it with the coleslaw and both are excellent. And you put that together with excellent service and kind attention and you have a perfect quick lunch spot

I phoned in an order today, and when I went to pick it up, the two ladies who helped me were so sweet and welcoming. They made sure I had everything I needed before leaving. I ordered their cheeseburger, fries, and onion rings, and it was all excellent! I’m from out of town, and look forward to returning whenever I’m back in the area.

I was in town for business, just for the day. I looked up burgers on google and found Toms. I came in to place an order and the service was the best I’ve ever received from ANY business. These are the most polite and delightful people I’ve ever met. Truly my best dining experience ever.

Loved the breakfast. Toast was delicious. Bacon was at a crunch perfection. Pancakes, good size , perfect taste. Orange juice just how I like it with pulp. Waitresses were very kind and friendly. Thank you for the service and compliments to the cooks and dishwashers as well for their hard work. Will be back soon. 🥰

Awesome burger joint. Very attentive servers who give great service. They anyways have a smile for you. Food comes out timely and delicious. They have an A- Z menu of burgers, one that even includes peanut butter, that freaking rocks. And you can mix and match to get exactly what you want.

Be prepared that salt is not added - which is a good thing so you can add what you want. I enjoyed the firefighter flag art on the walls. I recommend this location. Be aware it is tucked in a corner behind an outdoor seating fence, obscuring the store front.

She also suggested 1/4 order of fries, and when I asked if I should get a small order of onion rings too, she was real with me and said it was a ton of food and I wouldn't need it. I appreciated the honesty and not going for the upsell. I love local good and a great burger and this place is both. I'll be back when I visit the Base again in the future!

In Lompoc there are few decent culinary choices, and so understandably this burger place is popular. Good food, relatively excellent in its setting

The Ortega Burger is perfect just cook the meat a little longer so it will have more flavor. Service was excellent.

With burgers named from A to Z this has far more choice than you'd expect from a burger joint of this quality. Juicy, fresh and quick - you'll love it whichever you try. Try the bacon or the chilli burgers!

Good laid back bar! Good steaks grilled over oak! Garlic bread...yum. Gets crowded when there are events at the tank. It's worth having a steak or ribs.

Usually food is good, not the fish and chips. Fish was awful, but we ate it, we will never order that again and it was to high priced.

Tom's is known for their burgers but nobody talks about their breakfast which is just as good if not better than anyone else in town. They've got plenty of space and friendly staff.

A great place for hamburgers, with A to Z burgers on the menu. Lots to try. The onion rings are awesome. A fully serving of onion rings and fully serving of fries is good for four people. Friendly wait staff, also a bigger booster of local causes through tip nights.

I love the X, and their onion rings. Plus good customer service. I had an experience here where the server told us that 1 serving of onion ring is enough for us, what does she know about how much I eat or should eat. Otherwise, I don't mind coming here, plenty of burger places here in #Lompoc and this is one of my favorite to have my cravings satistied.

Excellent service, delicious food, great portions. But don't expect free ranch for your onion rings/fries. .or anything but chicken nuggets, unless you pay $.50. Seems like one ranch wouldn't be unreasonable.

Mom & Pop type hole in the wall tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. Very creative burger options and they give you a TON of fries. Burgers were good, fries were hot and crisp. Prices ($8.50-9.50 for a burger) are about average for these days I guess. Sliced jalapenos on the side are $1.50 for a little 1oz cup that you usually get for free at other places!! They charge an extra 3% to use your credit card. Atmosphere is pretty bland, service was friendly.

Specialty burger restaurant with a range of interesting burger options that give you an opportunity to try something new every time you go there. Usually I will find one or two of these on a burger places menu, but this place decided to be weird, add variety, and does it very well. The burgers are good quality and I've enjoyed them when I've gone here.

The actual hamburger patty is very small. The burger consists of a bun lettuce and the added toppings. I would like to see a bigger patty. The fries and onion rings are amazing. Their tea is great.

They have decent options for burgers. Strangely they are always soggy. It's something to note that they only have burgers, fries & onion rings. No ice creams, floats or milkshakes. Just fountain drinks.

No kids menu and charged a ridiculous amount of money for chicken nuggets and a hot dog. The kids meals cost way more than the adults. Burgers are good but they don't list prices for these things and felt we were ripped off and we were dismissed when we complained. Probably won't be back.

They get the orders wrong pretty much every time. It's no surprise they're struggling, they can't hire cooks that know how to do their job 🤷🏻‍♂️. Imagine hiring cooks that can't read the tickets for their orders. Wild. Front counter girls were nice.

Only giving two stars because my husbands found memories of eating here growing up, he raves about the food and makes a point of eating here when ever we are visiting the area. But to be honest the food is absolutely terrible, I’ve gotten sick the past 3 times we’ve eaten there, the lettuce looks brown, the meat I sobered cooked, the breakfast is sloppy and lacks flavor. Also the place needs a refreshing update, you can smell the history when you walk in and it’s not good.

Food was disgusting. Burger meat, patty, onions tasted old and expensive. Two burgers and chicken strips was almost $40 with no drinks. Eddys grill is much better, price is around the same too. Better buns (broishe), fresher products, I have an extra star due to the server their and customer service is nice.

I'm giving this two stars because at least they were friendly. But I was very frustrated. I was in Lompoc on business and a client recommended Tom's. I thought it was a little overpriced ($16 for a cheeseburger combo?), but hoped it would at least be good. When I got my order, I checked it, because I am a picky eater. So I always order very precisely and emphasize that I want it to be plain, but with extra cheese. I got in my car and drove off. But then I ate a french fry and discovered it had no salt. None. I looked in the bag - no salt. So, annoyed, I went back and they gave me salt. I drove off again. But when I pulled out the cheeseburger, I discovered it was not plain - it had mustard or relish or something on it. And it was super messy. I got on my hand and some dropped onto my pants. And guess what? No napkins in the bag! So, I returned everything and asked for my money back. Like I said, they were friendly and gave me a refund and a brisk apology. But that was 15 minutes waiting for the food, 10 minutes discovering the fries were unsalted and taking them back and another 15 minutes taking back the burger and getting a refund. That's 40 minutes and not even a meal to show for it. Very frustrating. And when you're on the road and just want to get home, the last thing you need is less than competent people to screw up your day. I don't know how they taste, but they left a bad taste in my mouth.

Normally I’d give this place a five star rating but not after tonight. A 45 minute wait for a burger and fries unacceptable by any stretch. Not only did I wait forever my burger was complete trash, extremely undercooked bacon and condiments missing. I would have complained there but life is short and I don’t want to waste another 45 minutes waiting on a replacement burger. Dear Tom’s, you’re better than this. I need visible improvement or I would not spend another dollar there. I refuse to eat slop and suffer through poor service ✌️
