Best grape leaves I’ve ever had, and seriously amazing lamb and very tender octopus. Orange infused rice pudding dessert was to die for. Very hospitable staff also! We had about an hour to kill after our meal, we got some mint tea and they were totally fine with us sipping it and relaxing. Would definitely go back.

The best Mediterranean food in Chelsea by far 1000%. I’m Moroccan heritage and the food was better than my grandmas! The ambience is also amazing in here and the owner and staff were beyond lovely. Wish I discovered this place sooner! I’ll be back every week x

This place is incredibly cozy with an amazing atmosphere. I went alone for a solo dining experience, and it was quiet, relaxing, with a lovely breeze and great music in the background. The food was absolutely delicious. I had chicken cordon blue and it was full of flavor. The customer service was also top notch. I got a 50% discount for not finishing my food 😍. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a peaceful and satisfying dining experience.

If you want real Turkish food done properly, this is the place. Baba Turkish Restaurant combines amazing flavors with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The starters were spot on — the stuffed vine leaves were exactly how I like them, the muhammara was superb, and the kofta was delicious. The rice pudding was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet. Add to that friendly, great service, and you have a restaurant I’ll keep coming back to. This will definitely be my regular stop whenever I’m in London. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently had the pleasure of discovering a hidden gem right in my neighbourhood - Baba - a Turkish restaurant that has quickly become one of my favourites! Although it's only been around for about 4-5 months, it feels like it's always been here, and I’m so glad it’s my new neighbour. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere and the enticing aromas of freshly prepared Turkish cuisine. The standout dish for me was the Moussaka, it was absolutely incredible! Every bite was a perfect balance of flavors, with tender layers of perfectly cooked vegetables, savory meat, and a rich, creamy topping that melted in your mouth. It’s clear that the chefs here take immense pride in their food, and the quality really shines through. What I love most about this place is the authenticity and warmth of the experience. The service is friendly and attentive, and the menu offers a fantastic variety of traditional Turkish dishes that I can't wait to try. Whether you're a fan of kebabs, fresh salads, or hearty stews, there's something for everyone. I’m beyond excited that Baba restaurant is now my neighbour, and I know I’ll be dining here regularly. It’s the perfect spot for a cozy meal or a special night out, and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s in the area or craving some delicious Turkish food. Welcome to the neighbourhood. I'm looking forward to many more amazing meals here!

I’m writing this review while I’m still finishing my food at this amazing restaurant! The food is outstanding, traditional Turkish with a modern twist. I highly recommend the octopus, the babaganoush and the baby chicken with pistachio rice. Really incredible! The staff is also super lovely, welcoming and smiley! I look forward to coming back!

Absolutely wonderful! Everyone is warm and kind, the food is phenomenal, the cocktails are beautifully crafted. There is so much heart and soul here at Baba, as a customer you can truly feel it. We enjoyed every second and genuinely thank the wonderful staff for such a lovely experience. 5 stars, no notes! Thank you!

We randomly discovered Baba Restaurant and instantly fell in love. The food is a beautiful take on modern Turkish cuisine fresh, thoughtful and full of flavour. Huge thanks to Ms. Ege and Mr. Ali for the warmest hospitality. Can’t wait to go back!

I haven’t been surprised by food in a long time and wasn’t expecting anything special when I went to the restaurant. But this was simply magical. The best fish I’ve ever had. The best octopus – it was just delightful. The aubergines were simply wow. I only regret one thing: that I can’t eat more. Amazing people and atmosphere. Definitely highly recommended ❤️

When searching for the perfect place to hold a celebration of life, we stumbled upon BaBa Restaurant on Fulham Road. From the very first contact, Ali and Ege were welcoming, compassionate, and completely accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our family and guests feel at home, showing a level of kindness that touched all of us deeply. The ambience was warm, intimate, and filled with heart—the kind of place that invites both comfort and connection. As we arrived, we were moved to see a beautiful placard outside the restaurant displaying details of the event. It was such a thoughtful, respectful gesture. Inside, they had created a custom menu for the celebration of life and guests couldn’t stop commenting on how special and personal everything felt. And the menu—absolutely outstanding. Guests raved about the food, each dish flavorful and prepared with care. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience that brought people together around the table. We truly cannot thank Ali, Ege, and the entire team at BaBa Restaurant enough. Their attention to detail, their warmth, and their respect made what could have been a heavy day feel full of light, love, and remembrance. It was more than just a venue—it became part of our story. To anyone looking for a place to gather, celebrate, or simply be surrounded by good food and good people: BaBa is a gem. And for us, it will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.

Baba in Fulham was an excellent find. Real quality Turkish food, cooked properly and full of flavour. The food was fresh and generous. The grilled meat was spot on. Juicy, well seasoned, cooked with care. Service was warm, fast, and genuinely friendly. No fuss, no attitude, just people who know what they are doing. The room felt relaxed and lively without being loud. I would happily return and bring friends.

A spectacular dining experience in the heart of London. The best consistent Mediterranean food I’ve eaten in a long time. We absolutely loved our experience at Baba Chelsea! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt vibrant yet cozy the kind of place where you instantly feel relaxed. The food was outstanding; every dish was full of rich, authentic flavours and beautifully presented. You can really tell the chefs care about quality and detail. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and they made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. The whole experience felt special — a perfect balance of great food, lovely ambiance, and excellent service. We left already planning our next visit! Highly recommend Baba Chelsea to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in London.

Had a fantastic late lunch and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout. We started with a variety of mezzes that were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The köfte was outstanding—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Everything felt authentic and made with care. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

The food here is authentic, flavourful, a real simplicity with a fine twist. The margaritas were made to taste, and they didn’t disappoint. Service was amazing, really felt at home. I would recommend in a heartbeat if you want to taste real good Turkish cuisine.

Was recommended this restaurant on a recent trip to Thailand by a Turkish lady who lived in the area. The place is cosy, the service is wonderful and the food, despite not being classic Turkish is absolutely delicious. The Acli Kofte !@incredible, the Kofte and baby chicken were also amazing. Ali, Ege and Canan were wonderful hosts. Prices are a little high considering the fairly small portions but due to the high quality of the ingredients it is decent value for money. We will be back for sure!

It was an unexpected decision that me and my crush made to have our New Year’s Eve’s dinner here. We were walking around the area to find a restaurant, and it was a bit hurry cuz she had a meeting later. But this restaurant surprised us. The ribeye steak was so good, and the vibe was quiet and unique too. And, I think my favorite part would be the plates, which have different texts on them. Everything was great, just hopefully next time we can take our dinner here slowly 😂

Since discovering this place, I’ve been recommending it to everyone, and I’ve been here a few times myself. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. My favourites are the içli köfte, sarma, and köfte, but everything else is also delicious. All the desserts are great as well — the sütlaç was one of the best I’ve had. The menu is already very good, though some occasional additions or changes could be nice. The owners and staff are very polite. Special regards to my namesake Mr Efe and to Ms Ege — thank you both. I hope they continue this wonderful work.

“Had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! We came during Christmas, and the place was calm and cozy. The staff, including the manager/owner, were friendly, laughing and joking together, creating a really positive and warm atmosphere—something rare in London restaurants. Special thanks to the Turkish waitress—she was amazing, kind, and even returned my forgotten hat! I truly felt like she was a friend and she deserves a promotion. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend this place

Made me feel like I am back home! Better than many high end restaurants in İstanbul for sure. Great hospitality, delicious food. Definitely try Icli Kofte (stuffed meatballs). Staff was also wonderful too!

Very very good Turkish food. We were surprised by the depth of flavour of each course. A manageable size menu suggests the chef is focusing on doing fewer things but extremely well. The star course was the kofte for both of us. Service was very good. Their recommendation of Portuguese Alvarinho proved spot on! We will be back!

Will be returning very soon! Service was exceptional by Ozzy, they had a very large party that was in before us, had a slight wait for the main but they were super nice about it & gave us coffee, tea & dessert. Could not recommend enough.

An unforgettable experience! I visited this beautiful restaurant with my dear friend Silvan, and we were truly impressed. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Every single dish was full of flavor and prepared with such care. The team was incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming, they really made us feel special. The ambiance is elegant yet cozy, with lovely details and a peaceful vibe. We had a fantastic evening and can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommended! 🙏🏼❤️

100/10! If your in the area, highly recommend. We took a quick bus stop after the national history museum and it was completely worth it. The food was the top food we have had in London (here for 6 days!). Every single dish came out piping hot and was delicious!

Came across this restaurant out of curiosity with a friend and glad we did. All the food was delightfully delicious, the octopus fresh, soft and not frozen or rubbery like some places can be. We were tight time due to an appointment, but ordered bread with hummus (highly rec this, it's not your typical hummus) to share and was pleasantly surprised when a complimentary Cacik came along with this. It's a delightfully refreshing and not a thick yogurt dish, also a reciepe directly from the owner herself, Ege who took our order! The hunkar begendi I had was delightfully rich and creamy. To top this off, we were surprised with Sutlac- their rice pudding. It was light, with candied orange peel, sprinkles of hazelnut, and vanilla mixed in. Would easily come back to order this and try their other dishes. Had no idea this was a newly opened restaurant just 7 weeks in. Would easily recommend. Thank you Ege, your restaurant deserves more views!

I went into Baba with zero expectations and left convinced it’s the best Turkish restaurant in London. Every bite, the hummus, the lamb chops, the Piyaz (my new favorite salad), got better and better. Service matched the food: warm, thoughtful and authentic. Efe and his twin sister Ege answered every question and even handed me a handwritten list of places to visit in Turkey. I felt at home — and I’m not even Turkish. No matter which part of London you’re in, don’t miss Baba.

The food is simply amazing. The owner, Ege, told us that we would love everything on the menu, and of course we had some hesitation as it’s the owner telling us this! But we found out for ourselves, and she could not have been more right! The amount of care she takes in making sure everything tastes great, allergies are accommodated, and people are enjoying themselves is evident. Thank you for a truly wonderful lunch, Ege!

One of my favorite things about this restaurant is how welcoming they are. We were able to bring our dog inside, which is such a bonus for a place this nice. The staff were so lovely to us and our pup!

From the very first day we went, we couldn’t give it up. We go at least twice a week, and now Sunday breakfasts have been added too. I’ve been in London for years, and this is the only place that truly delivers the real “Turkish Breakfast” concept. There’s a set menu option for those who want it, but I think the best part is the freedom to choose exactly what you want. The bakery items, menemen, and sucuk are amazing! They also have Ezine white cheese and pastırma. Incredibly warm, friendly, and welcoming. The team is very professional, and the owners themselves are personally involved, which really makes you feel at home. Also not only pet friendly but they love dogs!

Oguz truly made our night! He was amazing and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious — especially the içli köfte, kofta, and lamb chops. We had a wonderful time and would strongly recommend this place thank you guys x.

The food was really delicious and the service was attentive. Both the moussaka and the fish were very tasty. However, the fish didn’t come with any potatoes or rice, which I think would have been a nice addition considering the price we paid.

Baba, a relatively new Turkish restaurant on Fulham Road, sits almost opposite Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. The interior is stylish and inviting, featuring a bar with elegant Art Deco pendant lights, tan leather seats, banquette seating, sand-colored walls, and black-and-white photography towards the far end. There are also two outdoor tables for those who prefer al fresco dining. The lunch menu, offering 2 or 3 courses at great value, initially seemed promising. However, the cordon bleu chicken was unavailable, so I opted for the vegetable moussaka instead. The meal began with the starter and ordered additional bread, a single piece cut into four, lightly dusted with za’atar spices—soft, fluffy, and a nice pairing with the Muhammara. The Muhammara itself was a pleasant blend of roasted peppers, tomatoes, and herbs, with hints of pomegranate adding a subtle sweetness. The vegetable moussaka, unfortunately, was disappointing. While the aubergine, carrots, peppers, and potatoes were well-cooked, the dish arrived piping hot and took a long time to cool down. The top layer of cheese was glistening with oil, and a pool of oil had collected at the base, making the dish heavier than expected. For dessert, the İrmik Helvası—a semolina-based dessert served with a scoop of ice cream, pistachio crumbs, and small nuts—was a pleasant end to the meal. Service was acceptable, though there was an error on the bill, initially charging for two courses plus dessert separately instead of the set three-course meal. This was corrected upon request. A 12.5% service charge was added. Overall, Baba offers a stylish setting and decent value, but the execution of dishes could be improved, particularly in balancing oiliness and portion weight. The lunch menu is great value if your don’t mind oily moussaka and the lack of Cordon Bleu option!

A
Alexandros Kellaris

Lovely ambience and very welcoming staff, which made for a pleasant start to the evening. Unfortunately, the moussaka let the experience down. As someone who has travelled extensively through Turkey and Greece, I’ve had my fair share of truly memorable moussaka. At its best, it’s about balance, fresh, distinct layers of aubergine and meat, gently spiced, with a smooth béchamel that’s light, velvety, and well set rather than heavy or overly cheesy. Baba’s moussaka, however, was quite oily and overly rich. The béchamel felt dense and too cheesy, it lacked the depth and freshness of flavour you’d expect from such a classic dish. It was filling, but not particularly satisfying. A real shame, as the setting and service deserved a dish to match.

a

They seem to try very hard, but do not meet the bar for it to be actual Turkish food. Not quite what I would expect at this price point... 3x tiny (quite boring) icli kofte at £14 Hunkar Begendi came with rather dry meat. Staff even brought bottled water without us asking if we wanted it or not Clearly not a capable place for authentic Turkish food.
