Had a wonderful lunch at Kutir in Chelsea — the £35 lunch menu is fantastic value for such a refined Indian dining experience. Every dish was beautifully presented and full of authentic flavour, with just the right balance of spice. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. A great spot for a special lunch or catching up with friends. Highly recommended!

My wife picked this place for my birthday dinner on Dec 22, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. I’m usually not a big fan of Indian set menus, but this ended up being one of the best birthday dinners I’ve had. We both went with the tasting menus — she chose the vegetarian and I went with the signature — and added the wine pairing. Every course looked beautiful and tasted great. We were so into the food and conversation that we actually forgot to take photos, which says a lot. The environment was very peaceful and cozy, and it felt perfect for a date night or a special occasion without being too formal or stiff. Our server was extremely warm and jolly, and she explained each dish really well. She even brought out some small treats and a birthday card, which was such a thoughtful touch. I wish I remembered her name so I could give her a proper shout-out. I’m pretty sure the regular menu would be just as good. We’ll definitely be coming back on our next London trip.

The food was amazing! One of the best raitas I’ve ever had. The saffron naan and plantain korma were also delicious. Our waiter Araw was lovely and very attentive. He always refilled our water. The decor was also so nice. I loved the townhouse and the green accents. Overall, the service and food were exceptional! I would definitely recommend and will be back!!

Kutir – Elegant, Thoughtful Indian Fine Dining We had a wonderful dinner at Kutir and opted for the Chef’s Selection Menu. Every course felt carefully considered, with flavours that were layered and balanced rather than overpowering. The dishes were refined and subtle, allowing the ingredients and spices to complement each other beautifully. The Dum Aloo Makhani was particularly memorable — rich yet restrained, and full of depth. The mains were equally impressive, slow-cooked and aromatic without being heavy.

Came here to try something different with a friend and was absolutely blown away by the hospitality and food. Set near a private house, you ring the bell at the front and then someone will greet you by the door. They take your jackets to their cloakroom which was nice. We went for their lunch/dinner set menu, which was £35pp + cost of drinks on top. We chose the prawn masala and shami kebab as a starter. Then the sea bass neelgiri and goat green peppercorn for mains and the chocolate peanut fudge cake. Loved every single dish they served, bringing out different flavours and tastes to every dish. Meat and fish was tender Chocolate was really nice and smooth and was served with a fried peanut ice cream. Really nice and polite service. Though on a bit of the pricier side, it’s worth the experience.

Had a meal at Kutir with a friend I hadn’t seen in a long time. The vibe was still lovely! We sat upstairs by the window, which was a great spot. On a nice day, it’s the perfect place to have a relaxed meal with friends and enjoy the atmosphere. Prawn: Lightly fried on the outside, with a mildly spicy flavor that isn’t too strong. A squeeze of lemon adds a nice touch of freshness! Quail Naan – Truffle: The truffle aroma was incredibly rich, and the scrambled egg on top was soft and creamy! Sea Bass: I had this before and loved it again this time. The curry sauce was flavorful and fresh, the fish was tender, and the sauce went perfectly with rice. Goat – Green Peppercorn: The slow-cooked goat was tender and not gamey at all. For dessert, I chose the sorbet, which was sweet and tangy. The other dessert plate had several flavors; the chocolate one was silky smooth, sweet but not heavy, and very tasty. The set menu is perfect for a casual lunch. 📍Kutir, 10 Lincoln St, London SW3 2TS

The atmosphere of the place and overall aesthetics of it are remarkably elegant,. including the music selection. Additionally the attention which is given by the staff towards the costumers is very satisfactory and all needs were met, special thanks to our waiter Araw who enhanced the experience for us. The food selection was quite unique and spectacular, with an authentic Indian flavor. The variety of vegetarian friendly dishes is also honorable.

कुटीर Don't lightly ring the peacock-green door of Chelsea. From Sloane Square, you walk to a quiet corner of Chelsea and ring a peacock-green doorbell. Inside, the staff take your coat and bag, ask how your day has been, and lead you to your table. Candlelight and low lighting soften everything — including our expressions — especially knowing we were about to enjoy a beautifully composed £35 set lunch in a neighbourhood where spending £100+ per person is the norm. “Still or sparkling water?” After a brief 0.1-second pause, I replied naturally: “Tap water is fine, thank you.” We exchanged a knowing smile and settled into a corner sofa near the entrance. The Linner Menu arrived. A fresh mango lassi opened the meal, followed by masala prawns in coconut sauce — sweet onions and nutty notes making them wonderfully fragrant. The venison, often tricky as game, was handled perfectly with a classic yoghurt-based sauce, completely free of any gaminess. For mains, the meal unfolded generously: a beautifully charred sea bass, slow-cooked goat curry rich and comforting, tarka dal, naan and fragrant rice. We added a white truffle naan, so aromatic that its scent reached us before the plate did. Having lived in the UK for two years, I’ve tried many Indian restaurants. Dishoom is solid but hard to justify an hour’s queue for a chain; Gunpowder has Michelin credentials but lacks a sense of comfort; Kricket is good, yet often falls into London’s familiar trap of being overpriced for what it is. Kutir, however, feels complete — location, food, service, atmosphere and price all in balance. It’s equally suited for a date or as a thoughtful way to treat yourself. The interiors — peacock motifs, vines, silk-textured walls, gleaming tables, high ceilings and large windows — feel refined without being intimidating. But the true luxury here is the service. There is no sense of hierarchy or judgement. Whether it’s a well-heeled couple sharing a fine bottle of wine, elegantly dressed women celebrating, a mother and daughter taking birthday photos, or young diners like us ordering the set menu with tap water — everyone is treated with the same warmth and attentiveness. At one point, as I joked about my companion drinking water far too quickly, a member of staff came over to apologise, worried that they hadn’t topped us up fast enough. We quickly reassured them. That moment said everything: the service here isn’t tied to how much you spend, but to a genuine instinct to host and to care. This, to me, is the level of hospitality that truly justifies Britain’s unspoken tipping culture. Highly recommended.

Went there with my friend and we had their chef selection menu , really good value for money for like £35 I had 3 lovely and delicate courses together with a brilliant made drink. Restaurant is beautifully decorated with hint of Indian taste. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful explaining the menu to us. We loved every single minute spent here

I got there without a reservation. On the day I went, they were able to seat me without one. I got the tasting menu and I was very pleased. The amount was just right such that I was pleasantly full at the end. They made good use of premium ingredients, such as morel mushroom and truffle, with the traditional Indian spices. The spiciness level was enough such that there was an appreciable amount of heat without overwhelming the other flavors. It was all very enjoyable. I finished it off with a cup of masala chai which was nice and light. The service was also great. My server Chaithra was very attentive and answered all my questions about the dishes I received with great detail (such as ingredients used), without having to consult the kitchen. I will certainly come back to try the other tasting menus with my partner next time.

Really enjoyed the food here! Loved the Mango Lassi, and the Chicken Tikka and Chicken Harissa were super tasty. I also tried the Cassata, very nice dessert. Would come back!

A Spectacular Speakeasy of Indian Elegance: Kutir, Chelsea Stepping into Kutir on Lincoln Street is an experience in itself. Ringing the doorbell to gain entry into this hidden away, elegant townhouse in the heart of Chelsea instantly sets a sophisticated, speakeasy vibe. Under the guidance of Michelin-starred Indian Chef Rohit Ghai, Kutir presents a culinary journey that is full of heart, elegance, and tradition. Inspired by India's vast and rich heritage, the restaurant offers far more than standard fare, serving up traditional flavours in beautifully refined dishes. We chose the Festive-Signature tasting menu with the wine pairing, and it was nothing short of spectacular—a true masterpiece of flavour and presentation. The dining experience is complemented by a thoughtfully curated selection of cocktails and a wine list full of rare finds. A special mention must be made for the service, which was impeccable from start to finish. Kutir is a must-visit for anyone looking for an elevated, memorable Indian dining experience.

A refined evening at Kutir London where every detail reflects elegance and passion. The dishes were beautifully balanced, each flavour telling its own story of Indian sophistication. Truly one of the finest dining experiences in London. A special mention to Aaraw , whose professionalism and grace elevated the entire evening. Despite his young age, he carried himself with remarkable confidence and care. It’s rare to see such dedication thank you for making the dinner unforgettable.

A hidden gem for authentic but innovative Indian Cusine in Chelsea. Attentive service. Beautiful decor and attention to all visual details make this a perfect spot for special occasions or just a special treat. The menu for “linner” is a great idea. Food is impeccably prepared with complex flavors and unusual combinations to create traditional and memorable new dishes with seasonal ingredients like venison.

Tried Kutir for the £35 lunch menu and really enjoyed it. The quail naan with truffle was a highlight – rich and flavorful without being heavy. Sea bass was cooked perfectly with a nice balance of spices, and the desserts were creative but not overly sweet. Cozy atmosphere with a classic touch, perfect for a relaxed lunch in Chelsea.

amazing experience! the food was good and the service was immaculate. i especially recommend the guinea pig fowl - do NOT sleep on it! especially paired with the raita, the flavours merged really well and it balanced out some of the spice from the meat, which made it very enjoyable. i also highly recommend the masala prawns. they were fried in a thin batter, which made me actually be able to enjoy the taste of the prawn. the masala was also very rich and paired well! the waiters were also AMAZING. service was so so so good!!! highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

This was a recommendation from a coworker, and we are so glad we came. Reservation definitely recommended! Chaithra, our server, was so attentive and lovely - the perfect balance of helpful and giving space. She was ON IT and we loved her. We had a reservation and walked right in. The space is intimate and beautiful. We did the à la carte option and were blown away. The masala prawns, soft shell crab, chicken tikka masala, saag, sea bass - all of it was beyond amazing. Couldn’t recommend it more, and I’ll absolutely be back.

If you can sit in Chaithra’s section I highly recommend!!! She is the definition of good customer service! This review is coming from an American and this place is too die for… I’ve hated 90% of food in the UK however this place deserves a few Michelin stars not only for Chaithra’s wonderful service but also the delicious food concoctions they have curated… I will definitely be returning here with an emptier belly! Fantastic!!!!

It's such a pretty restaurant and the food and service are amazing! We ordered from their set menu including a drink, starter, main and dessert. I fully recommend the Quail Naan Truffle and Sea Bass Neelgiri. The taste for both of them is so genius and complex, which left a rich and memorable aftertaste.

Our final meal in London before we headed back home was absolutely spectacular, thanks to the delicious food cooked by Chef Rohit. A friend of the chef organized this dinner for us, and like many other fancy Indian restaurants, they do have a rather silly children policy, but thanks to our host, an exception was made for us. Kutir's experience begins with it's thoughtful setup. You are indeed welcomed in a home with pretty compact seating. Their rooftop seating is really inviting, but we could not seat there because the restaurant wasn't as busy on a Sunday evening. Aarav, our server made food recommendations which included a brilliantly tasty serving of Crab ~ Pepper Fry (£14), Lamb ~ Black Cumin (£24), Jheenga ~ Moilee (£26), and a Bread ~ Basket (£12). Our little one enjoyed the Double Tadka ~ Dal (£8) with some Steamed ~ Rice (£5). The Crab and Jheenga were absolutely spectacular. Desserts were on the okay-ish end and included Chocolate ~ Peanut (£10), and Cassata ~ Rose (£9) which had a very grainy texture. Aarav was very attentive, and friendly towards our little one. Very very good service. Noise levels were on the lower end, and it was easy to have a quiet conversation when we weren't eating all the delicious food! Highly recommend this place for an absolute unique take on Indian food!

Food was absolutely insane! We came from LA where the Indian food is amazing and this food surpassed it. Absolutely incredible. Best tikka masala I have Ever had.

Fantastic! Dined here last week, visiting from the USA. We were sat in the front room, which appears to be a converted victorian. The room was small with maybe 5-6 tables (although the restaurant had a lot more tables in various rooms). Very rare to have something like that in the USA. We both did the standard tasting menu with a wine paring. Every dish was amazing. London has a large Indian population, so our expectations were high. Kutir exceeded. We ate at a British cuisine michelin starred restaurant the next night, and we both enjoyed Kutir’s tasting menu more. Service was also great, the wines were great, really no notes on anything. I’d highly recommend visiting Kutir if you’re in London!

As a lover of foodie experiences this is up there with one of the best. The service from start to finish was incredible, so attentive but not disruptive. The food quality was lovely, we had prawns to start with alongside the lamb chops, both dishes were super tender and full of flavour. The staff kindly changed our plates and cutlery in between each course which is a nice touch. For our main courses we had a chicken tikka masala and a duck madras, the madras was the perfect level of spice, not too overbearing. The garlic naan was beautiful a good mixture of crispy and soft. The chocolate peanut dessert was rich and a nice way to finish the meal. All in all such a lovely experience and would recommend. I loved the personal touch, it felt intimate and friendly.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely exceptional dining experience My wife and I visited Kutir, tucked just off the King’s Road in Chelsea, and it was outstanding from start to finish. We chose the tasting menu and every course was a perfect blend of flavour, finesse and creativity — easily some of the best modern Indian cuisine we’ve ever had. The service was impeccable throughout. A special mention to Chaithra, who looked after us beautifully. Warm, attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely lovely — she made the evening feel extra special. Kutir is a true gem. Fantastic food, flawless service, and a stunning setting. Highly recommended.

I don’t often give a five stars to restaurants but Kutir truly deserves it. The food was absolutely devine especially the tandoori salmon especially. What put things over the top was our two servers. We dined tonight on the top floor and our servers were so friendly and attentive.

Delicious and fresh food, generous portion sizes, a cozy atmosphere, and a luxe feel that doesn’t break the bank. Our server Araw was great and the celebration desserts for our special dinner were a much appreciated touch. I would definitely go back to try more of the options on the menu as it was difficult to decide what to order!

We visited Kutir to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and care that it felt like more than just dining out — it was an experience. A smartly dressed gentleman greeted us at the door and promptly showed us to our table. The setting was elegant and intimate, with a contemporary charm that feels refreshingly different from your typical Indian restaurant. Our server — who looked after us the entire evening — was exceptionally polite and attentive. She gave us time and space to browse the menu without any rush, which we really appreciated. We started with the truffle naan and soft-shell crab — both absolutely outstanding. For the mains, we had the sea bass and lamb shank. The sauce on the sea bass had a wonderfully distinctive flavour, and both dishes were rich, generous, and beautifully presented. To top it all off, the staff surprised my wife with a birthday dessert and cake, which made the evening even more special. It was such a thoughtful touch and one that we’ll both remember. Overall, Kutir offers not just incredible food but impeccable service and a genuine sense that they truly care about your experience. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for refined Indian cuisine with a modern twist — and a team that makes you feel genuinely valued from start to finish.

The dining experience was impressive from start to finish. The food arrived fresh, flavors were well balanced, and the presentation showed real attention to detail. The warm atmosphere made it easy to enjoy the meal, but the service elevated the visit even more. Chaithra was attentive, friendly, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu, offering great suggestions that turned out to be perfect choices. Her professionalism and thoughtful approach made the evening memorable. Overall, excellent value and outstanding service. I’d be happy to return.

I recently dined at Kutir, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The food was amazing—each dish was rich in flavour, beautifully presented, and perfectly spiced. You could really taste the freshness and authenticity in every bite. A special mention goes to Aarav, our waiter, who provided outstanding service throughout the evening. His attention to detail, warm manner, and thoughtful recommendations made the experience even more enjoyable. Kutir is definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve visited—highly recommended for anyone who loves vibrant, flavourful Indian cuisine paired with impeccable service.
