Absolutely outstanding. Instead of our usual sushi + sashimi, we went with three rolls. Angel, a protein roll (no rice), and the {gifted} salmon roll. I can’t begin to articulate how beautiful and fresh and DIFFERENT each one tasted. Everything top notch. While I truly enjoy dthe previous owners/menu {mainly because of proximity and convenience to home}, the new owners have completely revamped decor, menu, service and WOW what an improvement. My new favorite!

This place is easily one of the best sushi spots on 2nd street, delicious options with plentiful portions. I tried the Mexican, AAA roll and the deep fried California roll with all 3 being stellar. The atmosphere is lively and the greeting when you walk in from the sushi chefs is nice 😊

Originally had planned to go to Nicks but there was a two hour wait for a table. Decided to checkout the sushi restaurant next store and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Speedy service, lively ambiance, AMAZING Sushi selection. I tried the toro and yellow tail hand rolls. SOOOO GOOD! Would definitely come back another day. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and are craving quality sushi with top tier service.

Great sushi!:) The rice was made amazing!:) They put cream cheese inside my rolls either way it was great!:) They went above and beyond with customer service!:) They gave free ice cream when they made a very minor order mistake. Either way cream cheese inside the rolls or on the side I loved it either way:) I definitely would recommend coming here for your sushi:) They do birthday dinners too:) The restaurant has great decor inside and very modern:) There’s a T.V. inside they shows a walk through of Japan. I am from Asia and will go back to Japan someday:) I was there as a baby inside the airport in Tokyo but would love to visit the city someday:)

First time having LA Sushi after having monthly Sushi spots in Toronto area this one takes top spot. I went for lunch for a business meeting and everything about this place is premium. Delicious fresh sushi with so many options. One of the rare gems that live up to their 4.9 star reviews!!

This place is exceptional we went on a holiday weekend and got right in and had quick service! We tried the black mamba, firecracker, and salmon rolls as well as the gyozo. I’d get everything again but I’m sure I’ll try some other stuff next time we’re here.

Such a cute place with delicious, FRESH sushi!! Came for lunch and was delighted at the creativity and presentation of all the dishes. Decor and service were also excellent! Wish I took more pics of the food but ate them so quickly since they looked so appetizing. Will definitely be coming back again!

Had Osaka Story for the first time and was seriously impressed. The quality of the fish, the presentation, and the service were all outstanding. They had actual Spanish Mackerel, and the Uni was incredibly fresh—which really sealed the deal for me. You can tell they care about sourcing and craft. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the whole experience felt elevated and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back. A true gem in Long Beach for sushi lovers.

Had a really nice experience at Osaka Story. The sashimi was fresh, there were a large variety of rolls and appetizers, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. A continuous video stream from the streets of Osaka really set off the vibe. Will be back.

Our favorite place!!! It will never disappoint!!! The sushi is like no other and the signature items are endless. Osaka and the Jessica are out favorite rolls along with the crab bowl. Enjoy!!!

I’d advise getting some of the regular sushi/sashimi and not just rolls. Their ramen is bomb, too. As are their appetizers. We usually get the spicy edamame. The owner is a gem, too. Really nice lady who remembers her customers, which always feels nice.

We ordered take out on Friday night and got both ramen and rolls. My honest opinion is that their strengths are definitely in their sushi selection, but their ramen could use some work. Sushi was fresh, delicious, and unique pairings. While I found the ramen to be disappointing for the following — the broth was way too salty. We ordered a donkatsu both which is normally creamy and this one was watery. Also there was barely any protein in the broth, only one tiny cut of pork. Not worth the price at all. See photo

Korean-run "Japanese" restaurant with lots of rolls and sauces. Owners don't speak any Japanese. The miso soup came out luke-warm and salty(ratio of miso paste was wrong) which was not a good way to start. As long as you don't come here for authenticity, then you may not be disappointed. Best of luck to the owners.
