It is increadible to find out how delicious was the food. Sadly, in different cites we don't have any more the old fashion taste like the one. Also, I got surprise about the schedule restaurant. Some places open at 11am.

When I first arrived I was a bit confused by chili automatically being on the burgers, but I was not disappointed. The food was out very quick and I did not have to wait very long at all. I got their double (chili) cheese burger and it was extremely tasty, fresh, and fun to eat. The cheese was flavorful and the chili was thick and steamy. The fries were alright and the chili overall was a bit too thick, but that may just be local preference. Overall I had a great experience and I would love to come again if I didn't live in Utah :D

The gestalt of a double chili at Tommy’s is like no other burger. Nothing binds the fresh cut tomato & onion like Tommy’s chili, which also melts the cheese evenly, unlike many other joints. For service, you can’t beat the shack at Beverly & Rampart. Man, the crew keeps the line movin’! No place is faster and at the same time as fresh. For atmosphere, Tommy’s after the rest of the city has shutdown is a special way to close out a SoCal nite. I wish all locales were like The Shack.

We both got the chili-cheese burger (excellent with a toasted bun) and their chili hot dogs. Both came with their signature onions, tomato, and dill pickles, and of course their wonderful chili. Their chili is not greasy and it has a wonderful taste! Only out door seating and it was cold out so we ate in the car. An LA original! Well worth the trip to any of their locations.

Went for the $7.77 deal, it was so good. Glad there wasn't a long line, because we were all hungry. Just because it was a deal, they didn't skimp on anything. I wasn't expecting a large drink, so that was a big plus, because I was equally wanting a drink. The food, as I always remember it from Hollywood, yummy. The guy at the window was very courteous.

I used to eat at Tommy's regularly when I lived in California. I now live in Oregon and I cannot get here as often as I would like. However, when I am in Long Beach this is my first stop. I absolutely LOVE Tommy's. I always get a double cheeseburger, an order of fries, and a drink. This particular location serves great food, is nice and clean, and they have a great staff who provide EXCELLENT customer service. I really miss all of the food options available in Southern California as there are so many options. Out of all of the restaurants there, this really is my first stop. What great food and service!

This location seems to have some of the freshest ingredients. I never feel too heavy after eating here, like I would at most other chili burger joints, including some of the other Tommy's locations. The ladies working here are always super nice. This location backs a nice neighborhood but there are always a few sketchy characters hanging about.

My father has taken me to this Tommy's since I was young. Little has changed, and that is a good thing. The chili still has the flavorful taste, with its unique smooth texture, yet still dense and heavy. Anything you order will surely fill you up. I got the chili cheeseburger which was very good and my father ordered the chili cheese dog with everything (raw onions, lots of sliced pickles and 2 huge slices of tomatoes). I was a massive hot dog! We left full and happy.

A very unique experience with great food. The food tastes excellent. The serving size is great. It is the kind of food that sticks to your ribs. The day I was there, the air was fresh and the atmosphere rambunctious with beeping traffic and sunny weather. The workers are friendly and the service may be the fastest around. It's a very special experience.

Best chili cheese burger on the planet!!

One of my all time favorite breakfast sandwiches is the one from Original Tommy’s. Along with a side of fries and a large cola soda. The combination of a sausage patty, an egg, cheese, tomato, mayo, onion, pickles, and chilli to top all of, it truly makes it a great tasting breakfast sandwich to start your day. A side of fries to scoop up the chilli that comes out of the sides of the sandwich is the perfect companion. I live in Northern California now but whenever I go to Los Angeles going to Original Tommy’s to chilli cheese hamburger or a breakfast sandwich is on top of my list.

I come here from time to time to get my chili fix. The workers are good people. However, sometimes depending on how many staff workers are there, it will take your order a little while to be ready. Food quality here is great.

This is not the original location, but it Is the exact same recipe and foods as it's original local!!! Utterly delicious!!! I have been eating Original Tommy's for over 50(yes!!! Five Ooooh!!!) Years and Loving every bite of their Original chili recipe on everything they sell and when (roughly 25-30yrs ago) they would ship their chili inside the United States, I could enjoy Original Tommy's chili at home in Santa Clara, CA a meer 5hr 45min drive back to Beverly Blvd in Los Angeles 24hr home of Original Tommy's. This location is in my hometown of Long Beach, not open 24hrs, but the same Utterly Scrumptious chili and same menu as the Original original!!! And great service too!!! Needless to say I currently have Original Tommy's chili in my refrigerator and one in the freezer. Same delicious chili, but different as it is not on the Original Tommy's chili cheese burger that they make fresh in front of you in the 'shake' on Beverly...

Although the rush of customers seemed overwhelming the three workers on duty around 1700-1730 were attentive and made the experience memorable.

I've been going to Tommy's at least twice a year since 1984. This was my first visit to this particular Tommy's. It was a Sunday and I was one of only two customers. One hell of an old school chilliburger. A family member has been coming to Tommy's for decades and loves the place and I'm always happy to indulge with him. Fast food, zero frills. You will absolutely make a mess when you try to eat it.

My dad always took us to Tommy’s (original). I stopped here for old times. It didn’t seem to be quite as good. I feel they shorted me on on the chili a little. I had the sing, chili dog and tamale. It would be awesome if they uses Tom Tom tamales. I’ll still keep coming back.

Classic Tommy burger,I hadn't not been in years so it was nice to have again and truth be told it was better than I remembered. But as with everything these days shrinkflation has occurred, the burger is a bit smaller than I remembered and the tomatoes slice, wow. We used to marvel at how thick a slice of tomato they would put on the burger, it was like 3/8 of an inch to 1/2 an inch. Now it's just like any other burger about a 1/4 inch

Having a World Famous Tommys Double Chili Cheese. Burger. Its filling, taste good, goes down well and affordable. But, If you know Tommy's, would you agree they need to kick the chili up a notch on the heatmometer, give it an edge, bring it up with some fresh onions & peppers, liven it up with a sprinkle of their spice mix or whatever just to wake it up. I feel it needs more aroma & be mouthwatering tasty. Tommys chilli is so mellow that it almost has that out of a can-swished with water-and reheated to luke watm profile. Maybe Tommy once had issues with locations screwing up the brand recipe so now it arrives from their commissary just to heat up. Am I over thinking this? Im a Tommy's fan so its love I've got not hating.

Greasy, filling, and really good! The location is out door seating with a patio with decent seating, great for you and your dog. They have a drive through and open an hour or so earlier than in and out burger which is nice. A #1 combo which is a double patty burger covered in chilli with fries and a drink is just shy of $10 which I think is a little pricey for what you get but you will get full. Burger patties are moist but I wish the chili had a tad bit more flavor. Fries are very basic and need something to separate them from every other burger joint, and I'm not talking about just adding chili, that is an option. Overall though this place is a great option to throw on your burger rotation.

I've been a huge fan of Tommy's since I was a kid. Absolutely love the chili! My go-to is their chili cheese dog. However, this place always seems to skimp on it whenever I get a burger. Just bought one and opened it up back home, only to find that the entirety of the chili was put on the edge of the patty, almost as though to make it look like it was loaded with the stuff. I can understand not putting enough on the burger, which happens and I can at least chalk it up to employees being in a rush, but this looked deliberate. Either way, if you ever find yourself here, make sure you ask for extra chili.

In all fairness, I do not care for chili and very rarely do I eat french fries. So why did I eat here? Two words - my. spouse. (The meal was "comped" by Tommy's grandson for work my husband did for him so, Thank You, Ian!) That being said, it was a decent meal. The tamale was tasty and hamburgers were a fair size. We were bummed to find out that they do not serve milkshakes, even though that was a listed option on the gift card. I felt the service was good enough and the wait time was reasonable. The area was clean with plenty of shaded outdoor seating. There is a drive thru available at this location.

Because it was their anniversary a line was like an hour and a half long the burgers were hot and fresh the Fry's on the other hand we're not hot and fresh. and because they were selling so many chili burgers it wouldn't let you have chili on your fries so you can only get regular fries and they were selling no cheese so you can get cheese or nothing. But the burgers were really good initially was really good it was an event not to miss.

This spot was our "2 go!" The last time we came here, (Friday, January 6th) the cashier was rude! She acted as if taking our order was an inconvenience on her. Our burger was obviously thinner & the chili wasn't as much as it once was. Mind you, the prices are higher.

Casual burger spot. There’s also a drive thru option. I had the Cal Classic Cheeseburger and my friend had the chili burger and we split a side of fries. The Cal Classic was good and the pickles made for a nice crunch. The chili burger was mush and the chili was just okay. I think it would be better on a hot dog. We made the mistake of coming here. Usually So Cal "Tommy's" are pretty consistent: good food, good service and a nice atmosphere. This place has none of those qualities. The bread used on both the Chili Dogs and Chili Burgers was dry and bland, the service, ok, but no rest rooms available and after being there only 10 minutes, was hit up twice by roaming homeless for food. There is no place to eat except for the concrete picnic tables outside. If you're hungry and in the Long Beach area on Anaheim Street, pass this place up. This "Tommy's" location is one to avoid.

Another place that's reduced the food quality enough to not be worth the inflated prices. $18 for a chili dog and chili fries is obscene. Especially when they forgot the cheese on the dog, was hardly any chili, and the chili on the fries was really lacking. Add to that, they started using different hot dogs from around covid, they just don't taste the same Another place that is nothing like it used to be. Used to love Tommy's, no more.

Had to use the restroom so I bought an oj, they were out so they didn't charge me, I said I still had to use the restroom and they gave me the key, the moment they realized they could not charge me they took away the key for the restroom. I had this experience 2 years ago this month, forgot to leave a review on google, I left a similar review on yelp though 2 years ago. This restaurant and its entitled employees have tainted the Tommy's brand. I noticed a few other reviews about employees gatekeeping the restroom even when somebody tries to buy something.

Went here a week ago and ordered the Facebook $3.50 double cheeseburger special. The guy taking my order was taking orders for the drive-thru also, well he gets my order confused with what someone saying to him over the intercom luckily I asked him to repeat my order back because he had it all wrong. Ordered for here after I got my order he put it in a bag, I told him it was for here and had to take my food out of the bag myself, went to sit down and eat the fries were cold when I went back and asked for hot fries he took his hand and stuck it on the batch of fries that were done, The chili had to be days old the meat was cold and was cooked prior to my order I didn't even eat the second chili cheeseburger I threw it away it wasn't worth eating. This place used to be great but I wouldn't go to this location.

Many times I've been here and they always mess up my order. How hard is it to not put cheese on something. Then when I let them know all they do is scrape the cheese off. People have allergies to dairy it's not something you just scrape off and call it a day. Lazy and inconsiderate

1/9/25 I ordered a pancake special #3 this morning the sausage were of a low quality the scrambled eggs didn't taste good. 2 days ago I gave the cook a $5.00 tip for the steak and eggs. It was pretty good. Hit and miss with this place. I do remember that in the 1980s this restaurant was packed every day! I guess they changed the Chefs.

Food was not made right, ordered chili CHEESE fries, got CHILI fries, ruined my experience and future expectations, Angel was responsible for my order but skipped it, and made it in a rush hence not completing my order right, not the tommys way, i know when i get bottom of the barrel chili and this is worse, -10/10

I won’t be back. Twice now I’ve gotten home to discover my burger didn’t have the chili or pepper jack cheese I paid extra for. I’m done. Hopefully they can get cooks that can make orders correctly so I don’t loose money on food I didn’t want.

Went there for just chili cheese fries and you can tell the guy was pissed. I don’t know why it was only 1AM. I know they close at 2 AM. He asked if I wanted yellow peppers I said yes he still didn’t give me any and when I got back to my house, I opened up the box and it was mostly just chilly maybe about 10 french fries in the whole thing. I don’t know why they are so mad. Kind of sucks cause I love coming here, but I guess I can’t come at 1 AM anymore

Came here to around 8:45pm to try their online deal and my hotdog was disappointing. First they had a sign that “cash only”. I asked for extra chili, onions and pickles and barely had any on my hot dog. The bun was bit soggy and the hot dog tasted old and wrinkly. The fries were good. And they didn’t have the yellow peppers either. So disappointing. I brought my kid and the cashier was nice to him, I’ll give him that.

Terrible service and even worse food. There was one car ahead of us in the drive thru and somehow it still took 20+ minutes to get our food. The person taking my order kept asking me to repeat myself. Like literally every time I said something they either repeated it back to me wrong or asked me to repeat myself. The food was awful. There were black bits floating in the Starry. The slice of tomato on the burger had a huge black spot of mold and the lettuce was brown and wilted. The bun was also soggy. We got three burgers, three sodas, and two fries and it was $44! Way too expensive for bad food and bad service. We will not be back unfortunately.
