Penguin Donuts Long Beach Reviews
Literally the only reason I would say you shouldn't go here, is because I want to keep this secret spot for myself. It's WILD to me that someone would say ANYTHING negative about their pricing. This place is sooooo affordable, that I literally made a joke about it "breaking the bank" today (2 donuts and a coffee for $6? Yes please!). Not only are they affordable, but they are generous! 2 out of 3 times, they gave me something small for free. Plus everything is so good! The donuts and pastries are fluffy and not overwhelmingly sweet, which is a common problem I have with other donut places... and don't get me started on the coffee. That's really what brings us back in every time. It's better than starbucks, at half the price, and you're supporting local... And last, but certainly not least, is the service. These lovely ladies NEVER fail to make me feel like their service is exceptional. They greet every single customer genuinely and warmly upon entry with the cutest smiles, and wait patiently for you to make your selection (while still not being overbearing). Honestly, I don't even know the shop owner's names, and yet they feel like friends. That is how welcoming they are. And when you combine it all, it makes for an exceptional experience, especially for being such a quaint little donut shop. While reflecting on the immense value they give in exchange for a measly $6, I felt compelled to review them and give them their props. I lived across the street for 2 years before trying it, and i regret not going sooner. Go, now. You will be grateful you did!
Great place to get your donuts and coffee. Naren helped me out and he’s awesome!
Very good coffee and donuts for good price
Great hospitality and service! Would recommend the smoothies.

Very good coffee and donuts for good price
Great hospitality and service! Would recommend the smoothies.
my favorite weekly donut spot ! Amazing donuts, banh mi, Thai tea boba, breakfast sammies, and a great selection of drinks and snacks. super friendly and hospitable owners too, they always throw in free donut holes in the bag and everything is so reasonably priced. Absolutely wonderful !
Ham and cheese was good, also got a few donut holes as a first timer :) Vietnamese coffee was a little sweeter than expected but still tasty
Best experience at a donut shop! Absolutely come through and get some fresh and hot donuts in the late hours of the night! The cashier was so kind and made this a good night thank you sir!
Nice family-owned donut shop that also has Boba, juice, Banh Mi and sandwiches. Thai tea isn’t too sweet and the donuts are well-balanced in terms of sweetness.
We lived in Cali and travel back for family from time to time. Stopped to get donuts for the family and they were not under or over done. I love my treats and this donut stand did not disappoint.
Very kind lady, quick to help customers even during busy mornings. I got a croissant and fruit smoothie
Delicious pastries. If you’re not from the area and go at night beware of the homeless roaming around in the parking lot.
While the outside & the inside of the store may look rough, the donuts are so delicious. The service was very kind, the lady at the counter was super sweet and the man working in the back was also kind greeting anyone he came in contact with. Good variety of donuts, sandwiches, teas, and plenty more. I’ll definitely come back.
Love their donuts especially their glazed donut holes and sugar donuts are especially my fav Sometimes they even give me extra of the donuts holes I like there good people Also their ham, and cheese croissant is sooo good 👍😋

some top-tier donuts, apple fritter and freebie donut holes were lovely: decent spice, big apple chunks, and a glaze that wasn't teeth-shattering sweet for both of em. the dough was soft with a bit of chew, not airy or a brick—just solid, good donuts. the thai tea though, yikes; overly sweet yet watered down, and full of loose tea leaves that the worker reassured as "normal" [not for me 😭], seems like hella sugary drinks are the norm here from other reviews, so i'll stick to the pastries..
Their donuts are delicious and not oily like other donut shops the only bad thing is they charge an extra $0.25 for a bigger donut which is kind of crazy to me customer service was great gets really busy though just a little too pricey for some donuts but they are delicious.

Don’t go late. All the cinnamon rolls and apple fritters are super stale and at least a day old. She put them in the microwave to soften them up. Bad quality.

This place is A MESS. walked in expecting donut odor but it smells like fish. The lady at the counter was definitely on something. It looks like a horders house with all sorts of food like a grocery store.
I went to ask Questions some Lady was working As I was showing her if I can pay with debit card ? I realized she didn't speak English..She grabs my cellphone started pushing Google pay. Which I don't have .. was trying to Use app to Purchase Donuts .. Please have Worker that can Understand ... who LISTEN BEFORE START PRESSING ICONS ON CELLPHONE.. Thank you
Everytime I go, they are always closed. It's been the 5th time already and they have their open sign. I just went to get a jelly filled and some donut holes and always locked. If you're gonna do that, turn your sign off. One or two times I get it but really 5 times? This use to be the spot but now they just pretend to be open.
I went to store today, january fifteen 2025 i want to order tai t ea with no ice and no boba. and the price supposed to be $5 extra larg, but since I didn't want no boba with no ice, they gonna charge me $7.
