Food was amazingly good. I had the chicken and rib combo comes with 2 sides and corn muffin. The meats were cooked perfectly. My side was fries and coleslaw they were both good. Has tv all around so you won't miss the game. There's a dart board incase you get board. All in all a great place to eat.

Come here with an appetite and you won't be disappointed. Love the staff and the food. Brisket mac and cheese is unbelievable, and the jumbo wings are surprisingly large for some great bang for your buck.

Neat bar and BBQ joint. Cozy atmosphere.nice server. The basket of onion straws is huge. The rib tips are great as are the cheese steak sliders.

I came with my boyfriend for a nice dinner and was very happy with my experience. He ordered a chicken sandwich and I got a burger that was cooked to perfection. The macaroni and cheese was to die for and we were both really happy with our experience and will definitely be coming back

Sooooooooo good🤪🤤🤤🤤. I already started eating before I took my picture, sorry not sorry. Everything was delicious, service was amazing and the drinks were tasty and cold!! We went last minute on the 4th of July, plenty of seating (7:30ish pm). A little wait for the food but WELL WORTH IT!! No smoking inside but across the street from the outside patio works. Definitely a must in you find yourself in Long Beach, NYC!!

Looks unassuming from the outside but rather spacious on the inside. The decor was fun. Unique duck themed drinks and menu. I wished they had more menu options for dining. Mainly just offers bar food. A good special menu would enhance the rating.

Service was so good, everyone was friendly and very attentive. Mac and cheese and wings were both good.

Despite the bad reviews I saw on this place I gave it a try and I’m happy I went. The food was great, me and my friends all got different plates and we tried each others food & no complaints. We did the bottomless mimosa. Our server was very nice& attentive, kept refilling our cups and checking in on us. Definitely will be going back

Had Bailey the bartender and she was Amazing! She gave great service and corrected our bill. Honestly she made the trip worth it. Food was good, drinks great, service phenomenal.

We attended the Winter Wonderland Pop-up. The atmosphere was great! It definitely captures the holiday spirit and gets you in the holiday mood. However, the menu could have been a little better and offered their regular menu items. The chicken sandwich was small, and the chicken fingers were a little dry and salty. If the menu improves, we will be back next year.

Food was tasty kind of a dive bar atmosphere but highly recommend the mac and cheese with burnt ends and even though it's not on the menu they were nice enough to give us a side of burnt ends delicious also had ribs and chicken fingers with a huge assortment of sauces.

I have been wanting to come here for awhile and after seeing beard meats food came here it reminded me to come here. The place has a cool atmosphere and although it was in the afternoon the service was friendly and attentive. The pulled pork was perfect moist and nicely smoky in flavor and our appetizer of nachos was plentiful and very good with pieces of tender smoked beef mixed into it. Very nice neighborhood, the only knock is I couldn’t find beard’s picture on the wall of fame.

This is an interesting BBQ joint with friendly staff. The menu was a bit overwhelming at first. They have several interesting takes on sauces to put on your meat. The sides are served in tiny troughs. I had macaroni and cheese which was absolutely delicious. However, their fries were a bit too salty for my taste. One amazing detail I especially liked was the garnish of onions and pickles were put to the side on the serving tray, and not piled onto the sandwich.

Went for a Christmas Pop Up. The idea was great, but the organizers will need a few more years of experience running something like this. Drinks were great, but food was less than drive-through quality. Overall, it brought an additional holiday vibe to the town of Long Beaxh.

Well my group walked in and was welcomed and seated with a mean spirited attitude by a young lady that seem more miserable then ever. Thank goodness she wasn’t our server because our server was amazing. The food came out fast but unfortunately I had to return one of my order because it was not up to normal standards. (Liquidy Wet watery Nachos 🙈) Our server was so nice. She apologized and immediately tried to rectify the situation. I ended up canceling that order but she was so kind and dealt with it in the most professional manner. The rest of our order was good. To be honest maybe I wasn’t that hungry or maybe the sun beat me up too much that morning but the food just seemed ok. I would come Back tho and that’s saying a lot. I def need to try other items off the menu with a much emptier stomach. With that said I rate this place with a : Check it out at least once Location

Nice atmosphere and the food did taste good. But the price and portions were a joke. For $19 and 8-10 singes when asked, but 8 arrived and they were the smallest wings i have ever seen in my life. For $19 that was ridiculous. They did taste good but no where near worth the price. The rum punch was good but again for the price the size was small that more than one max no sense. $50 later for small wings, fries, and one drink I wouldn’t go back. The calamari was a nice size and tasted good. But not sure the price as j tasted a friend. Inflation is real and I’m all about spending money on good food and drinks, but this turned me off so much so that I wouldn’t go back.

The name is appropriate, the TV system is too big for the bar. Their stools are way too short, filthy around the taps. As soon as we walked in you could smell that the place was recently mopped, but obvious to me that they cleaned the floor with a dirty mop; I couldn’t get the funk out of my head and left after one beer. Bar staff friendly, great service but that’s about it.

Was not worth the money. 16 dollars for a cocktail.. 25 dollars for a sliced steak sandwich that was just a chunk of steak that was under cooked and chewy. Half the sandwich was just bread... fries were really good though.. popcorn shrimp app was decent but definitely not worth what they charge.. I was shocked when I got a bill for 165 dollars.. I don't mind paying that much for dinner for 2 but the portions and food should be amazing at that price.. definitely not recommending or going back..

I went to The Ugly Duckling on Friday July 26.2024. I was there the entire night. Initially I had been buying shots for me and my friends and I was paying with cash. The drinks came out to be 50$ however once I ran out of cash I resorted to paying with my debit card. For whatever reason they decided to charge my card an additional 13$ and I did not leave a tip. Technically that is theft. I had already tipped the bartenders when I paid cash. Not sure if there is a debit/credit card fee but when I called the bar , I got no answer and no call back. Yes it is only 13$ but I cannot fathom how many more people they’ve done this to. And if there was a debit/credit card fee I should’ve been notified at that very moment. Why charge it to my card the next morning? It’s very disheartening to feel like I was stolen from. Especially from a place of business!!! I have a photo attached below. If in fact there was a credit/debit card fee, why wasn’t it charged the night of?

I’m giving two stars because I can’t blame the chefs or staff for this. This is a management and owner issue. You have to update your website. You can’t advertise a completely different menu on your website and pull your customers under the rug with vastly different prices and menu items. I even double checked that the website said “Long Beach NY Long Island. Even the waitress said that’s a huge mistake. On top of that how does it take 1 hour to cook up a $16 Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich with tater tots. I’d rather hire a middle schooler with basic knowledge of Home economics skill to make a better BEC & my nachos would’ve been more delicious if it came to me actually warm. How can you screw that up? Anyway This location disappointed me and my family and the expectations were already low. Don’t come here and save your money because the experience wasn’t even worth it as well.

Google says that they are open from 12 to 10. They are not. We walked 35 minutes expecting to have some BBQ, it was 1:50 pm on a Wednesday. No idea how it tastes, how's the service or the atmosphere. Giving them and Google 1 star for wasting our time and disappointing.

Ordered take out from the bar before the football rush came in- a sandwich, entree and a couple of sides. Took over 45 mins and the bartender was so bitchy when I asked how long after 35 mins. That aside- food was great.

I always feel disappointed after I order take out from this place. When I got home and saw the sauce container was not even a 1/4 full. The brisket was very fatty and the portion was insanely small. It’s been a few years since I have ordered from this place and I can honestly say they haven’t improved at all, if anything they have made things worse and more expensive 👎

Food quality has gone way down hill. Customer service is terrible and they don’t care. Does this brisket look good to you? It was legitimately rubber. When I called to let them know I was disappointed in the quality, the girl on the phone said she tried it and it was good. lol ok I been eating bbq for 36 years and never seen such poor quality brisket.

Management should worry about having a fully functioning restaurant with tvs that work and not “running out” of the of the daily special before 8pm rather than the well trained support animal. Also dead / live roaches on the bar…. As someone who’s worked in the service industry for 10+ years, I advice you to eat and spend your money elsewhere
