The V Room Long Beach Reviews
Such a neat corner dive bar. Great dark mood lighting. Drinks are tasty and you can order food from Stache bar and they “teleport” it over the road. They are dog friendly and have a bathroom. Entrance is a little messy right now with the construction on 4th so be cautious.
A good locals place with friendly people who are accepting of ALL. You may have to start a conversation, or choose the music on the jukebox....Mel, Jojo, and other great bartenders keep things fun. 2 pool tables, plenty of TVs.

I've been coming here for 15 years. They've made improvements, but it's still your local dive. Love the punk, goth theme.
Pineapple tequila, mmmmmm..... We ordered tacos from the truck across the street, brought it over, ordered drinks and they didn't bat an eye as we ate our dinner with the drinks. Sure appreciated that.
This bar is a great dive with amazing pours and charismatic bartenders. The crowd is always varied. There is a pool table off to the side, and a jukebox with a great mix of punk, classic rock, and R&B. I love to come here because I know that I'll have a good time for a great price. Bartenders are great at what they do here.
Killer spot. Walked in after a huge event on the water front and had a great time. Good drinks good people good mix of locals and randoms. Would recommend to friends and will go back. Malcolm and the other bartenders we're awesome
V Room is the quintessential Dive bar. Everything you want, nothing you don't. Service was excellent, great music, games on TV but conversation stoked by great bar tender and other patrons. No food service here, but easy to get food from nearby. I would highly recommend
Great neighborhood bar with a fun crowd of regulars. Good drinks fun vibe and its always a party. Love this place for a nightcap.
I love V Room, everyone from the staff and patrons are all the best people I've met in/around downtown. 👍 👍
Bartender was awesome! They ran out of the tequila seltzers I ordered, but he was quick to offer an infused tequila and soda instead, and it was better than most seltzers I've tried. Staff and patrons were all very nice.

We sat down for a round of drinks, no food but we had tacos across the street at Pancho's taco truck, super yummy. The bartender was great, friendly, and prompt. It's a neighborhood dive bar of sorts...

Haven't been there since 1991 when there was red carpet on the walls and Shakey the bartender who we called "Pizza Hut" made strong well drinks. Looks like the place got gentrified so is it really a "dive bar" anymore? Actually looks NICE inside and out!
The V Room is a fun, divey spot for affordable drinks! I love the aesthetics and the overall aura of it. The drinks were yummy and the food looked/smelt good. The only reason I am giving 4-stars is because not only did it take a long time to get what we ordered. The waitress mentioned she was overwhelmed, which I felt empathetic about, but as far as I could see it wasn't even all that busy, so that was a bit confusing. Overall, such a fun, unique spot, we will definitely be going back! Enjoy :)
Look, I like this place a lot, but it's a dive bar at the end of the day, which you ought to know. Full bar, boilermakers, friendly staff and clientele (albeit the latter can be a little odd), billiards, discrete booths inside. And you can get food from sideburns cafe across the street, so you can enjoy some good drunk food. I dig it for the unpretentious watering hole it is, but don't go in expecting some sorta fancy niceties.

It is expensive for hard liquor and they don't keep it cold. At least the beer was cold. I came on a slow night.

Went to the V Room this passed Sunday afternoon at about 2:30pm and the atmosphere was great the bartender was really nice and attentive, the drinks are okay.. a little too much liquor and then I got charged for 2 drinks that I did not order nor drink. Must always check the receipt before paying.

Came in here with a couple friends for a drink. There was a female bartender working. There was a group of about 6 guys sitting at the end of the bar, and they kept saying extremely racist things. They asked my friend if he had sickle cell because he is black, and I spoke up and said that was messed up and we got into a verbal argument. The bartender did absolutely nothing about it because she knew them. Would leave zero stars if I could.
Bartenders were good but the security guard was very rude, maybe he had a bad day? He ruin the V Room experience. Will take my money elsewhere if he’s in front.
I was there November 1st, 2025. The bartenders were great. But that security guy sitting outside was rude and has NO RESPECT for anybody.
