Deli Long Island City Reviews
Small bodega There are Spanish workers that are nice , They have a Hot bar in the back . It’s best to come @10:30-11am to get your food because the “ I’m On Lunch Break “ crowd will be something serious and it gets crowded
Something about their sandwiches are better than the rest. I used to go often during high school and get the same pastrami sandwich over and over and take a bite of my friends that got plates and it was good too. I went back recently to see if they were made as well as before. Unsurprisingly I was unable to make it past 5 blocks on my way home before I finished my food. Good food and good people, the sign of a great deli.
I’m just a tourist visiting my partner in the city, but beyond the regular tourist stuff, this place gave me a real good impression of what NYC can offer - good, solid food at more than fair prices. The chicken gyro blew me away, and the one-stop shop for necessities is super convenient. 10/10
Amazing Latin food and wide varieties of eating options at an affordable price! Highly recommend this store if you are in the area and need a quick bite to eat, it beats waiting a table at a restaurant! Enjoy!
Friendly staff and delicious Latin food! Let’s not forget affordable pricing and amazing portions of hot food! Must go!!! Best deli they are not rude, they are fast efficient and fair! Will be returning more often.
We went here everyday for a breakfast sandwich while staying in New York. Super nice service and good food. If you're after a warm Sandwich with eggs, meat and cheese or after a sandwich with lettuce and tomato, they have it both plus a broad variety of meals for lunch, even at 10 a.m.
Buffett selection of Spanish food taste delicious. I eat lunch there for work everyday. Prices are reasonable staff is polite. Gets crowded early morning and lunch time
As a local around the Rego Park area, I come here often with my boyfriend whenever there's a football, soccer, basketball game on. The seating is spacious in the dining area itself but the bar area can get a little crowded later at night when games are on.. particularly around the playoffs! I did not have the best impression of Miller's a year ago.. ordered the Tilapia about 6 months ago and it was horrible. The fish had a stench to it and I had to force myself to finish it.. (have a thing about not wasting food). However, I am delighted to say that their seafood dishes have definitely improved a lot! Maybe the chef has changed or their supplier is different but the lobster tail and salmon dish I ordered last week was really good! The texture was just right with the perfect amount of seasoning. Nothing was overcooked or had a weird smell to it. In fact, it was so good my bf and I ordered a second plate. The baby back ribs on the other hand was just a little bit salty.. it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. I think they might have used too much sauce and my palate just wasn't agreeing with it. Service - great when we're seated at the bar but not so great when we're seating in the dining tables. Sometimes we'd have to ask our servers more than once for items we've requested (certain condiments). We've also experienced servers not knowing who ordered what multiple times.. if not every single time we were there. There used to be a lot more options when it comes to pitcher but it seems to be limited nowadays. Sam Adams are no longer offered in pitcher but your average Blue Moon is. At least there are still a good variety of beer to choose from even if it doesn't come in pitcher form. Have been a regular customer for a while and will continue to be. Hopefully there will be some minor improvements on the quality of the food.
This place food is excellent, home made Latin food. However, there's one guy that serves the male customer a larger portion of sides. For the same price he fills a female portion with more roots(green banana-yuca) and very little sides (bacaluo/stew chicken or beef). Even when told that a customer is willing to pay more his response is "There's a limit!" My money is worth the same as any body else's.
I asked this man for a roast beef on a hero, hot; this man proceeded to place the roast beef slices in the microwave as opposed to the grill. I can understand if they were closed. It was 4 in the afternoon. There was no excuse for the way he chose to make that sandwich. Unsanitary
I tried to order a sandwich but I walked out with nothing after being ignored for 10 minutes. The sandwich guys are lazy and inattentive. One of the guys serving hot food downed a Modelo, probably his 6th of the day he was already drunk at noon.
If you don't look Spanish don't go here. I'm waiting on line and this guy goes in front of me and I let him know I'm waiting. Then the counter guy asks him what he needs. The guy that cuts the line tells the counter guy I'm next and he says don't worry about it & takes his order. Just straight up racist & disrespectful. I guess that's one way to run a business. Crazy thing is, I come there practically every morning. I guess I'll be finding another Deli since they don't care about their non-hispanic customers. Probably for the better, the food is bathed in grease, dripping out of the wrappers. Heart attack waiting to happen. You been warned!
Just got breakfast from this place and I must say while the staff are friendly they don't listen to your order for nothing. Asked for a pastrami egg and cheese with mayo on a hero. Instead they decided to nix the mayo and add salt pepper. And as well while perusing the aisles my friend happened to notice in the cake area one that sitting with a huge bite taken out of it.
