No wait time Sunday lunch before noon. It was pretty good. Need to have a little spicy so that the soup and food would be flavorful. Your typical ma la tang hot pot dining. My mom likes it and we'll be back soon. Soup did get more salty though as it keeps cooking. Not sure if there was rice or not.

The food here is delicious. I went here and strictly ate a vegetarian meal and I was so satisfied. As someone who opts for vegetarian options, it was incredibly delicious to have such a flavorful hot pot without having to have meat. The interior is so cute as it mimics being out on a street. Picking what we want in the hotpot was a fun task, and the service workers were kind and overall an amazing atmosphere. I'm definitely going to continue coming here.

The skewers of hot pot here are very delicious, the staff are kind and the service is very good. I love spicy pot, and their butter spicy pot is the best I have ever eaten. If you don't want to eat spicy, you can try the bottom of their mushroom soup pot, which is also very delicious. There is also Fragrant spicy pot for those who want to eat spicy but don’t want to eat too spicy . There are many kinds of skewers, dishes and snacks, which are also very delicious, and there are various gifts from time to time. It is worth a try If you want to take it home, they will give you tablecloths, which is very sweet

Take out review! (thanks covid) You literally need just two things and MaLuBianBian will take care of the rest: Pot and electric stove. They give you everything you need to make a successful hotpot even if you have zero cooking skill - soup base in a specialty designed bag (think refillable hand wash) / flavor mix in a plastic container / table cover / bib / a box of napkins / dipping sauce in a tray that act as a plate for your food and utensils. Food super fresh. Thoroughly impressed What's more impressive is we managed this in a hotel... so that says a lot about how easy this was!

So authentic! Take me back to Chengdu! The hot pot is so spicy and tasty. I preferred: Chicken Gizzards, Tender Beef slice, Chicken Drumsticks, Spicy duck blood. Highly recommended!

If you want true authentic casual Sichuan food experience in LA. Then this is the one. Why? They offer better value than most Sichuan Restaurant due to portion are smaller so it be easier for individual or two. A lot of time you had bring a group to dine most of sichuan restaurant due to the cost and portion size. The interior is very like 80 and early 90s Chinese Vibe. They had the pork brain dish which sound kinda exotic but actually is very tasty. Their skewers is very reasonable price and the key is you get to try many different variety for the same price as other place that limited to fewer food. This place is extremely popular and always a long wait unless you come before it open or hour before closing.

Malubianbian is so good! My friends and I enjoyed our hot pot experience. Make sure to stop by the sauce bar and make your own sauce or two while you’re waiting for them to bring out the food. We got the half bone soup base and half flaming spicy soup. Even at mild for the spicy soup, it was still quite spicy. My favorite meats and veggies are the angus beef, lamb, napa cabbage, tong ha, fried tofu skin, pumpkin, mushrooms, okra and soft tofu. The world spicy world glass noodles were super bomb, but also super spicy and numbing. I could only have a few bites, but the texture was excellent and flavor was on point. Highly recommend going back to the dessert bar afterwards and getting a bowl of brown sugar jelly dessert to cool down.

Food is fantastic here. Came here last month with my wife and we had a blast here. It is a bit pricy in my opinion but it was worth it and I was very satisfied. There was a very interesting drink that was my favourite due to the bottle(very clever) I would for sure come back here the next time I visit Irvine.

My first experience was at the Tustin location, and had to come bring my cousin who lives in the area so she can experience the gloriousness that is AYCE skewer hotpot here at MLBB. Despite it being 90°F outside, we still continued our plan to eat here. It was fine as the AC was on. We came in for lunch and got the a la carte broth - half bone broth and half spicy butter oxtail. We also ordered the AYCE meats on the menu and enjoyed a variety of the skewer options. However, I would stay away from the spicy broth if you can't handle it, as, even for me, who can hold their spice pretty decently, the mild option was so spicy, my cousin and I were dying, but it was still so good that we continued eating. There wasn't much staff, but they did their job well and explained things for us and had good service. I absolutely loved the retro street vibes in the restaurant, as well as the vintage posters of popular celebrities in Taiwan. Overall, it's a really great experience and will definitely come back.

This is a speciality hot pot with skewers; unlike the conventional hot pot that you have the sliced meat mostly, but instead you have diced meat on skewers. Two major differences between the skewer hot pot and conventional hot pot: 1. The diced meat is more tender and juicer. 2. The soup is condensed and very oily making the skewer hot pot cooking like half boiling and half frying.

Thanks to my son in law we got to try a new spot. How Rowland Heights has changed since the 80’s. Just love the rich food scene. Be forewarned. Friday and Saturday nights the parking can be very challenging. Once seated service was quick. But here is how it works. You order your broth selection an some premium proteins online. The rest is pretty much self service from the various refrigerators. Seafood, beef tendon, beef with cilantro, gizzards, plenty of mushrooms, and veggies. You select what you want and take it back to your table and immerse in the broth. Feels very cafe style which I just enjoyed. Totally a find. I will be back.

When I get a craving for hotpot, this is the first place that comes to mind. Their soup bases are tasty, with a variety of meat and vegetable options. The service is always friendly and inviting. The only thing they need to worry about is upgrading their tables and chairs. I believe the heat from the hotpot cracked the table, making it appear unsafe and uneven when they placed the pot on the mini oven inside the table.

The food was good. Only reason I gave it a four star is because they need a little more work with the staff’s attitude. It was kinda awkward walking in and just standing there for a good while. They weren’t busy at all at that time. Besides that everything else with fine.

First visit for my family of 3. Initially, this place was good and the service was chill. Good options for sides and soup bases. But what killed the experience was the rude cashier. She nagged about having too many plates at the table and when we didnt tip (because it wasn't going to go to the people who actually served us) she got upset that we didnt tip her for doing nothing. She rudely asked for a tip and when we kept saying no she threw the money at my husband who was paying. It ruined a cozy experience. I wouldn't go back.

Sad story. At first, I was extremely satisfied with the food, price and services. And I recommend it. However, this is a one-star restaurant because they deleted my review on DealMoon. We visited twice, the first time is so nice so we brought our friends to visit again. Things changed at the second time, one waiter denied the Coupon from “DealMoon”, which actually worked just few days earlier. The waiter made up an excuse that they do not accept that coupons if I’m not DealMoon VIP. So I went to DealMoon, checked again. Never mentioned any VIP thing. I commented about the coupon issue on DealMoon, trying to remind other customers. What surprised me is that they removed my comment from DealMoon quickly. Good trick!
