Appetizer Los Angeles Reviews
Sebastian was our waitress and he was a fantastic one. He was always checking up on us and he recommended great meals. He is very friendly and I recommend this place and him as a waitress!
A great place to have a drink, the cocktails were delicious, and I also want to thank our favorite waiter, Sebastian, for taking such good care of us once again.
The food is always delicious and consistent. My family has been coming here for years and service is always excellent. Sebastian, our server, was exceptional!
Anna was an absolute pleasure for our visit. She gave excellent recommendations and has a wonderful personality/sense of humor. But beyond that, the food was Amazinggggg! Highly recommend the branzino, salmon, yucca fries and tostones. Great experience!
I have eaten takeout and in-house from here. No complaints, actually the food keeps tasting better. I've been mixing it up trying new plates and lots of good flavors here. Good sauces and drinks, too.
What a special restaurant featuring Nikkei or Japanese-Peruvian cuisine! The ceviche, tiradito, sancocho and sushi was amazing. As a Japanese and Latin family this hit the spot is now our favorite restaurant in Fairfield County. Congrats chef. One suggestion, we left and didn’t have any wait staff thank us on departure. It’s important to have a 5 star experience from beginning to end, especially after spending over 300 dollars.
When my friend recommended this spot I had my reservations. For starters what’s a Norwalk, I joke I joke. Nonetheless this establishment sits a busy strip with other local bars and restaurants. Upon our arrival the establishment was relatively empty with 2-3 guest. My concerns worsen. We were immediately sat down by a guy that sort of resembles Ricky Martin. He was cool and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. We ordered drinks and the main course. I got the lomo saltado, a Peruvian dish staple. The first bite, I was in love and all the flavors of the onions, fries, meat and tomatoes with the savory green sauce. Coñooo yum! Our waiter was incredibly patient with us as we sat and consumed our drinks passed 10PM. Highly recommend this establishment to anyone who is in town and wants to enjoy a good Peruvian dish. I did see sushi on the menu which was quite interesting. Thank you to our waiter whose name I did not catch! To the owner, promote him and give him a raise.
The food was amazing and the portion sizes were perfect. The presentation and details to the dishes are top notch. This is a fusion restaurant so they did have some Venezuelan dishes available as well. The kids tenders were fresh. The drinks were amazing and just the right amount of alcohol. Service was great, we would definitely return to try other dishes!
Hands down the best Peruvian cuisine around! Chef David Soto and Chef Eric Soto are spectacular chefs but also truly wonderful people if you have a chance to meet them. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. You won't be disappointed. Their ceviche is spectacular! Their yucca is spectacular! Try their calamari salad, grilled or fried, you can't go wrong. Stop by and support a truly special establishment.
My mom took me to celebrate here for my birthday. We ordered 2 passion fruit juices very good but the cups were small. We ordered fried calamari was delicious came with a couple tostones and pico de gallo and 2 dipping sauces. My mom got chicken saltado. It was very good and portions. I had tallarine saltado with beef and probably the best tallarine I have had the beef was so tender . My mom bought a tres leches cake and the waiters came out and sang for me which was nice. I usually eat at fiesta in stamford. This restaurant is now added to my list of favorites. Overall great place to eat for latin fusion/peruvian dishes.
What can I say but wow! The food here is absolutely delicious. You can literally select anything on the menu and you cannot go wrong. It has easily become one of my new favorite restaurants in Norwalk. Not sure where to take your friends from out of town, or where to celebrate a milestone… bring them to Ají 10. They can accommodate large groups, parking is convenient, great food and service they have it all.
Totally blown away by this place, although I avoided the Asian fusion items on the menu, the full grilled bronzini was spectacular. This is how a salted and grilled fish should be! Staff were all very friendly in helping decide what dish to get as someone who has never had Peruvian cuisine before.
The food was EXCELLENT! Cocktails were the same. Service was underwhelming. We made a reservation for seven a day in advance. when we arrived, we we're told they could not locate our reservation, so we had to wait a quite a while before we were seated. The server took very long for check-ins. We requested a high chair for our toddler, it never came until 15 minutes later when I had to request again. Started very rocky for these reasons. Host (and or manager, not sure) later came over and chatted with us about our experience, she was very pleasant. She helped ease some of the negativity of the service experience for us as first-time customer's. In fairness to the restaurant, it was a busy Saturday evening. Other than the service experience, everything else was spectacular. Highly recommend if your are looking for a delicious dinner.
The food was absolutely delicious! To start off we got some Arepas that came stuffed. One of them was the Vegetarian arepa that was stuffed with sweet plantain, black beans, and avocado little did I know that all together in an arepa was so juicy and amazing. We also a cheese stuffed arepa that has just the right amount of cheese. For the main we got steak and chicken fajitas that got to the table steaming of how hot it was and it was amazing the chicken and steak was flavorful and the veggies (fajitas) had an amazing seasoning and included many different vegetables. Then the calamari salad, that salad blew me away I never thought fried calamari would taste so good in a salad the sauce it had drizzled over it was sweet rich and with the calamari it was delicious!!!! Finally I got a passion fruit margarita that had the right amount of sweetness and right amount of alcohol. Definitely recommend this place.
I love the food, restaurant is clean, service is alright. Soda cups are small and half of it is ice (ask for light ice). I didn’t like it that the main courses didn’t arrive together, and I don’t like the pressure to take our plates away when we’re still working on our food. Let me eat calmly. Food is still tasty. Attention - we are a group of 4, 20% tip was already added to the bill. When we asked about it - we were told it’s because it’s Sunday.. because of COVID.. They asked if we’d like to remove it. We didn’t because that’s what we always tip anyway, but some people wouldn’t notice and double tip…
The food was not great, no taste at all, the lomo saltado was very plain no flavor at all, I also had a Venezuelan dish beef shredded but the beef was salty, I am not coming back.
I really wanted to like this place. Today was my second time eating here. My wife was adamant about trying their food, so we took the 1 hour trip down to SoNo. I am not entirely sure this is a Peruvian restaurant. There is just no other way to say it. Either way, the food is pricey and simply “ok”. My wife ordered “pescado à la parrilla”. There was nothing grilled about this fish. It was definitely steamed. I ordered the Ribeye. I’ve had better for less. And what is it with restaurants applying gratuity automatically? Tips are a reflection of the overall experience, period. Blow us away and our tip will certainly reflect it. $155 for two: Two awful piña coladas (with ice? Cherry juice??) Stripped bass Ribeye steak with 7 fries. This last time was the last time.
The place is nice, but I would replace the waitress who served us with someone more ethical and professional because of her terrible customer service. It's crucial that the owners choose their staff carefully, as first impressions are very important. The drinks and food weren't bad.
