Bak's Kitchen Los Angeles Reviews
Only tried the sushi and orange chicken. So far so good! Heads up: Sushi sometimes has a lot of sauces like Japanese mayo. Orange chicken doesn’t have a lot of orange sauce. Still really great for myself and a good price point. Quick too. Can call ahead to place order or pick up!
Very good and nice portions.
Taste and portion was one of the best meals I've ever eaten, I highly recommend it!
Absolutely love this place. Excellent fresh sushi and rolls. I visited this place 7 years ago and was so impressed with quality and food taste. Now I’ve tried it again and it’s still awesome. Thank you guys! 💛💥🙌🏼

Everything on the menu looks delicious. I had the chicken noodle soup with bean sprout. It was tasty, fresh and affordable. The young lady who took my order was polite and served my meal with napkins, utensils and condiments without me having to ask. It took about 10 minutes to get my soup ready and in total I paid 18 dollars for the soup, a canned soda, a 16 oz.water bottle, and the tip. For my next visit, I plan on getting the dragon roll.
I work across so I get lunch there quite often. Their rolls are so fresh! Decent size and yummy. Prices are reasonable too. There's no free parking in the area, some street one if you are lucky. I walk there from work so it doesn't matter to me, but it can definitely be an issue for someone
Sushi is surprisingly good for such a cheap price. Their other dishes are great too, always giving you a lot of food. Usually quick service with a short line. I sure wish they would bring back the frozen yogurt bar though! Very small place so don't expect to get a seat inside during popular hours like lunch time.
A big shout out to Bak's Kitchen. We had traveled all the way from Phoenix to attend a concert at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and had picked Bak's as the place for dinner. We got there a little later than expected, getting to the restaurant near closing time. At the time, however, we did not know they were about to close. Even so, they treated us great! We did not realize we had kept them late until we walked out and saw the hours. You guys are amazing!
Only been a couple of times and they have never disappointed. I have only tried the Chicken Teriyaki and just recently the Teriyaki Salmon. Both very good. Due to the social distancing they don't have signs in the front indicating how many people can be inside at a time. I placed my order and decided to wait outside. I have them a good 12 minutes before checking and my order was ready.
I highly recommend the sushi bowl! It was so delicious, filling, and healthy. You can choose as many of the fish options as you like, all for the same price, and all the toppings! We also had a dragon roll, spicy tuna roll, and udon, all of which were delicious. The miso soup was very plain, just broth, no tofu or seaweed, but the broth was tasty. The salad and dressing were delicious as well. I will definitely eat here again when I'm at an event nearby.
When i’m telling you this food is bomb. ITS BOMB! I love the food here, the salmon sushi is my favorite. I come here with my boyfriend when we can and it’s our best calm date!

The food was okay — tasty, but not something that feels freshly cooked by a chef. It felt more like the dishes were pre-made rather than prepared to order. The place seems more suitable for takeout. They do have seating, but you eat from plastic plates with plastic forks, which takes away from the dining experience. Overall, it’s decent food, just not very memorable, so I’d give it four stars.
A solid spot for a quick but quality meal. I had their salmon salad and a side of their chicken. The taste was great and overall I was satisfied for lunch. A bit on the pricy side but I think it’s still worth it. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.
A Japanese food restaurant and generally quite good and gives a generous portion too. I ordered creamy salmon roll and it taste pretty good! But I feel weird this place selling Japanese food but not offering green tea at all. 😉 Place is kinda small and most tables probably cater for 2 pax only. Will be a challenge if you in a family of 4. All in all, good food at decent price. Was it memorable? Well maybe for me as it was my first time visiting LA but it was the occasion and not because of the food which wows me. Will I order again? I think no but if all the food shops closes down already and this is the only shop available then yeah, I guess I might consider ordering from here.

I've been to plenty of Japanese restaurants. This place was a little different. My Spicy Tuna bowl was not exactly a bowl. It was a takeout plate with the ingredients separated. But it was delicious! The Chicken Teryaki was mixed with spam and frozen mixed vegetables. But it was delicious! I ordered a Spam Musubi... it was delicious! My food was done quick. The price was fair. The service was friendly. We will be back!

Decent lunch spot. Not too many options on this side of downtown. The teriyaki chicken or orange chicken bowls are good lunch deals. The sushi rolls are ok too.

I kept watching people go in and out of this restaurant as I sit in the plaza, so I thought they must have good food... Maybe they do, but certainly not what I purchased that day. The salmon sushi w/ crab was VERY fishy smelling, the grilled salmon was overcooked, with a small tired looking bunch of mixed vegetables, and the spicy tuna had something else that I had to pick out. 2 sushi rolls and a lunch for $30. Better try the meat or chicken.

I ordered for pick up, and the chicken tasted old, and there is no sause on the TERIYAKI chicken. The salad was nice greens, but again, there was no dressing. The food was not easy to eat, the veggies are frozen also. but I walked back to the office and was hungry. Still couldn't finish iit!!! I will never go here again...
Ordered food online and came to pick up; there was some confusion because I used the DoorDash storefront (see screenshot) but the cashier wouldn’t even talk to me! She said we don’t have door dash and wouldn’t even look at me when I tried showing her the order confirmation! I wasted my lunch on the phone with customer service! Definitely never going back.

I actually like the food....but every time I go in, they are out of things. This time, they were out of RICE! An Asian restaurant out of rice. Could only serve Ramen or Udon....girl at the counter didn't even know Udon was made out of wheat. I wanted to order to go, 20 minutes before closing....but they couldn't do anything but Ramen or Noodles. Time before, only rolls. Nothing else. Before that...you have to have salmon teriyaki. Really disappointing. Want to support this small business but they should just close after lunch instead of running out of staples.
