One of the best burgers I've ever had! The sauce was amazing,The meat was tender and the service and food was overall great. Only thing that could be better is the fries. Definitely worth the 20 bucks.

Actually pretty good for airport food. Burgers are large and somewhat worth the $20-22. Fries/tots are extra, but are also pretty good. They have beer but you can't leave that area with it so no drinking @ gate. Get the breakfast burger!

First off. To all reviews that complained of the cost, the prices were clearly marked. You placed the order. It’s a large burger from an airport. It won’t be $2.99. Take responsibility for your actions. I had a breakfast burger. The staff was pleasant and the burger was good. A bit messy due to its size. Not for on-the-go consumption. I enjoyed it.

Excellent burger for the price. Had a fried egg and bacon on mine with a generous helping of steak fries. For 21 bucks it was worth it before my return flight to Detroit. Breakfast and lunch in one, burger was thick, tasty and moist. The 2 young ladies were courteous and professional.

Had been craving a burger and this one hit the spot! Friendly service, fresh bun, juicy patty. Way better than average airport food. Just got the simple Built to Go for $12. It was around 11:30 with no line and food in a matter of a few minutes. No complaints.

My “breakfast” burger was incredible! Basically a nicely sized angus beef patty with a fried egg and it was delicious! Was ready about 7 mins after I ordered and the staff were all smiles :)

My personal experience: I purchased sweet potato fries. Cashier said it would take 4 minutes, but she lied! It took 40 seconds. Service was fast and great. The sweet potato fries tasted great a they were a nice thickness (slightly narrower) and had a great crisp. It was a great serving size for two and was only $4.83 after tax (as of 9/2/2025). 10/10 would come again.

Custom-made burgers! I was feeling an impossible patty ($22)—it was cooked perfectly. All other ingredients were fresh. Burger could have been slightly better if the buns were more toasty. It was big and messy (could be bad or good depending who you are). I got the garlic aioli fries and they were delish! Super big portion for $5.60.

I have celiacs, and I really appreciate how Carle took the time think about their cooking process, explain to me the gluten risks, and assure me of the steps they would be taking to ensure I got safe food. He also was keeping a tally of his remaining patties for the night to make sure he didn’t waste food. Looked like he was already manager, and I congratulate Built for promoting someone who takes their work and especially customer satisfaction so seriously!

I got off a flight and was looking for food and I stumbled across this place! I got the breakfast burrito for around 11 dollars and a side of fries for around 4 dollars and I thoroughly enjoyed both! I especially liked their sauce. The burritos were pre-made but they were hot and my food was out super quickly. I didn't have any issues with the food afterwards (my stomach felt fine) and the workers were nice.

The staff was very friendly and got the food out quickly. It’s also a great place to get coffee if you don’t want to wait in one of the long coffee lines. The man taking my order was very friendly and talked me through the process since I hadn’t eaten here before. The woman who put my order together was very friendly. The food was good, above what I expected while on a layover.

Gluten Free Burgers! In the small terminal two, a burger bar with gluten free buns, burgers and toppings is a rare find, fries too! Delicious, and served by friendly staff too. Cost is pricey, but as expected for the airport after security.

The service was good and so was the burger. Nothing exceptional. But with bottle of water and fries was $30, ouch

It’s a pretty good place if you’re craving something that won’t leave you hungry. I recommend. The staff wasn’t the friendliest but the terminal was super quiet when I was there so I’m assuming they were just a little tired and bored. I built my own burger with an Impossible patty and it was still slightly pink in the middle - which isn’t a big deal as it isn’t real meat but still. It’s pretty pricey though, I paid close to $30 for a burger+fries without a drink…

The Built Custom Burgers restaurant in LAX makes a great burger. Full stop. BUT getting your order takes time and I was waiting 20 minutes to get a burger and some fries. The operation needs some efficiency gains as it took forever. I had to eat my food on the plane but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. So.. if you have the time, stop here. If you don't have atleast 20 minutes.. go to the Asian or pizza place that's right beside it. It's also 22 bucks for a burger.

Burger was decent for airport food. I liked the sauce on the burger. The brioche bun was big, which I expected, but didn’t want so big. Fresh tasting toppings and the meat for the burger was cooked well but not dry. Biggest downside is that one burger with a Perrier was $20 🥲

At 8am Friday, good breakfast burger, served fast. Inside terminal 2 gates I don't know what more I can expect from an airport burger. Pricey, Breakfast Burger $21, but it's an airport. Thick burger. Better than expected bacon. Fried egg and good bun round out the deliciousness. Not busy while I was here. Self order kiosk. Staff friendly (no Tyler 😁 )

Good safe burger to eat before a flight. Filling and won’t disturb stomach. Good topping options, fast service. A little pricey but to be expected. Eat and have a nice flight

I mean I expect to over pay at the airport but $26 for a bland, overcooked, flavorless burger combo is just a rip off

"I need to make a menu for my restaurant, but first let me light up my crack pipe." - The Manager, probably. "Let's scatter 4 breakfast items across 3 screens, this is the ideal way to order breakfast."

Burger was really good. Cooked to order. But it was 14.50.

Service was great and the food was good. The packaging allowed the hamburger to get soggyish and squeezed the veggies together. Not bad food but value for your money is lacking. But great customer service though.

Despite the negative reviews, it's not a bad choice for a quick burger meal, in an airport. What are you comparing it to? Vs. other airport food choices , it's ok. Quick , reasonable taste. Expensive, like all airport food. Such is life.

Tasty, juicy Impossible cheeseburger, with cheddar and fixings on a fresh brioche bun. Tasty and delicious, but $22 is insane. The service was good if not especially friendly. Despite the crowds (including an incredibly long line at Jersey Mike's), we found a comfortable table with chairs and bench seating.

N

We tried to order some breakfast burritos but there wasn’t any left as well as croissants. They only had the “skillet” option. It wasn’t bad for a breakfast, food was fine. But they could definitely do better. Recommend for a fast simple meal.

Great Patty. Bun was too airy and brioche shouldn't be used for burgers. American cheese is gross. Iceberg lettuce was limited. Tomato was excellent. No salt on sweet potato fries.

Please save your money, I just paid 22USD for a frozen Cosco patty with zero flavor. the fries are good, so get that. DO NOT GET A BURGER.

Quick service only because they serve cold everything(cold bun, cold pre-overcooked meat and the rest are cold by default..) paid $20 for a single burger and noticed how many people got food poisoned? Lost appetite entirely not to mention it’s 0 flavor & dry. I hate that they can rip off just because they’re in LAX. Have some decent edible food if you’ll rip off. Ugh.

Tipping should be after a meal for sit down service. Not before you even see your food at a fast food restaurant where they can't spell "John" and can't read "No Red Onions'. If a $19 fast food burger wasn't disappointing enough, not getting the order correct and asking for a tip with the bill so that they don't have to pay their employees as much takes it to the next level. Come on guys. Do better. I definitely won't be back.

This restaurant was a mixed experience. While the food was very flavorsome the service was lacking. From the moment we started our order with Tyler, we felt like an inconvenience. He was rude and seemed like he did not want to be there. While picking up our food, we asked for water and while he did help us, he slammed the cups on the counter. Lastly and most disappointing, was receiving the incorrect order. While luckily there was no dietary restrictions and we did eat the food, when you spend almost $60 on 2 burgers, you’d expect a better experience.

Outrageously expensive burgers that would still be overpriced at half the cost. Either this is a franchise store that is just expensive or LAX doesn't have an anti-gouging policy like other airports. Even at the most supreme gourmet burger outlet I've never paid $57 USD for two combos. I wouldn't mind if the burger was really delicious but it was nothing special. Fries were also meh. Fountain drinks are filled with ice, so you don't even get a fair serving. If you are looking for a good burger behind Terminal 2 security at LAX, sorry about your luck.

The person who took my order was friendly, polite and answered all my questions. I ordered sweet potato fries. They were warm, but not hot. My burger was cold. I enjoyed the soft bun and the shredded lettuce. The onion and tomato were fresh. I ordered a cheeseburger but my burger did not have any cheese. My burger patty was cold. "Custom" is in the name, but I didn't find the burgers to be any more customizable than any other food establishment. For the $27 I paid, I was a bit disappointed and will probably not eat there again. I don't understand why making good food is so difficult, especially when all the tools and specialty equipment are in place.

Over $14 for a simple chicken club. They don't even put the toppings on it so you have to do it yourself after they've thrown them in the bag. They were out of soda and wouldn't let me have a cup of tap water either...

The most disgusting looking breakfast sandwich with no flavor and no taste and I had to watch my coffee being made with hot water and instant coffee mix this meal cost me over 15 bucks and should be given to me for free

C
Christian Simpson

Appalling and rude service. I'd love to see Gordon Ramsay try to get served here. So many issues, not least they only tell you avocado or other toppings are extra AFTER you've paid then moved down the line away from the register. Genius. No trays so good luck carrying a meal. And be warned the fries are twice as big as necessary.

I went to order some food while on an important phone call. I guess black dude with the corn rows didnt like that because he made me wait 10+ minutes for an already cooked food item(Breakfast burrito). After 10 or so minutes, a different employee came to check on me and was surprised that I was waiting. Hey man. I wasnt trying to be rude but I was in a really important phone call. Ive also been slammed with work and could barely even prepare for my flight let alone eat. Something someone working there might not be able to understand. I get that you want more control of your life, but keep customers out of it. Just put my food in the bag bro. Its not my fault you work there. At least now we both know why you do.

J
Jack Pilutti

DO NOT GO HERE. They charged me TEN EXTRA DOLLARS just to have a veggie burger instead of a normal burger “because it was customized,” and they hardly had any toppings left. Go literally anywhere else in terminal 3. My partner had the beef too and it wasn’t good. Skip this place.

C
Craig Miller

I tried to order a hamburger combo and was told that there are no toppings on the burger. Just meat and a bun. So I tried to order the All-American cheeseburger. They told me that you can’t get that as a combo. 🤦‍♂️ So if you want a combo, they have to charge you full price for each item, which is an extra $4.50. The burger was dry, the fries were well seasoned, the tables were dirty. So a burger fries and pop is $28.47. Very strange way of selling hamburgers. They say they are custom, but that is not true either. You can get a bun and paddy, or two other choices. That is it. The lack of customers in a rather busy terminal should have tipped me off. Do not recommend.

B
Betty Queen

Tasteless dry burger. Asked twice if I could get my burger cooked to order or if they were all cooked to one temperature. Both times was told I could. When I ordered mine medium they told me they only cooked them well done. I declined the “special sauce” when told it was 1000 Island Dressing. They forgot my drink. Got a bacon cheeseburger and added mushrooms and pickles. Still incredibly dry. Tasteless. It was good for calories only, since I was in between two 5-hour Delta flights that offered no food. There were few other choices around that terminal, but I suggest ANY of them would be better than this place.

C
Case Logik

Arrived at the terminal at 8am, was told they were already out of breakfast items but they had a breakfast burger I could order, only difference was they added an egg to it and it cost another $7 for this. I ordered a cheeseburger. Took about 15 minutes for it to arrive. The bun was old and stale, the burger patty was grey and had no flavor, plus it was cold. I then went up to order a side of fries for my kid and waited another 15 minutes which I then asked the worker guy if my fries were forgotten about as 3 people behind me in line all got their orders already. He searched around and then 5 minutes later he handed me the fries. The service here is terrible, the burgers are disgusting, and the price is out of this world. Great way to rip people off LAX. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN!!!

J
Jason Correia

After reading previous reviews, I hoped a couple of them would be my experience. I was incorrect. The service was terrible, I was rushed from the beginning of the experience and everything was cold. The lady making my burger was rude, forgot the bacon and just threw the toppings on. I unwrapped the burger and she didnt add the bacon i requested, i had to go ask. I also had to ask for my fountain pop. Spending 30usd on a burger with sweet potatoe fries, I'd expect a lot better. DO NOT EAT here, unless you want to donate your money!

K

A $45 dollar meal, which consists of two burgers, a fry, and a drink, between my husband and I. Our hopes were high for a burger this expensive. Our expectations were shot down immediately and we literally were disappointed in ourselves. We couldn't believe the size of the burgers and my patties were still pink, the size of the fries which by far were not even great tasting, our drinks were not refillable. I work at a expensive selling burger joint but we don't sell the short end of the stick. We give the customers a good quantity and great quality of food. It was my mistake for not checking the reviews on this place. I agree with the customer service here. It wasn't pleasant at all. The cashier lady smiled which was awesome but the folks who made our food looked like they would rather be somewhere else. To be honest I did too. I would have rather gone somewhere else.

A
Ariel B

Not worth the $20 they cost for a single hamburger. The hamburger was cold despite picking it up as soon as they called my name, it was also very dry and had to use ketchup to get it a bit moist, you’re better off eating hamburger at Burger King, or maybe one of the other places next to it.

A
Andre Steenkamp

The most disgusting burger I have ever had, it reeked of propane, was burnt, and entirely inedible. The tots were close to raw, and hard to keep down. My wife had an impossible burger and said it was about the same quality as Burger King, and that her tots were similarly raw and inedible. Our meal was $59, which I expect an airport to up-charge me but wow. The table next to us gagged and threw out their food virtually untouched. I wish I could give it less than one star, as it’s been about ten minutes and I’m having trouble not throwing up the portion I was able to get down. Truly the most offensive and disgusting food I’ve ever had the displeasure of ordering. Edit: it’s been 15min, and I have thrown up.

K
Kna K

Just raise the menu prices. Adding a 10% recovery fee that goes back into the business is dumb. It's beyond stupid. Your customers are stuck in a terminal and will pay the airport food prices. List them clearly. Nothing ruins a meal more than reading a line item like that. Raise your prices and if your can't afford to do business while charging 20 dollars a burger for counter service, maybe pack up and let some other business have that spot. Shame cause the food is pretty good.

E
EJ Sim

The scrambled eggs in both the breakfast burrito and croissant were really disappointing rubbery, plasticky, and lacking flavor. The burrito wasn’t warm enough, and the croissant was wet and soggy. I don't know about their burgers, but the breakfast items were just not enjoyable. the service was professional, warm, and welcoming, which I truly appreciated.

This was by far the worst customer service experience I have had in my entire life! It was insane! I ordered online on the LAX app and ordered a cheeseburger with no onions and fries. When I walk up to the pick up counter I witness Andrea(female hostess) interacting with a (male)passenger: the passenger asked her how to customize his burger on the self checkout/order monitor, she suggested that he (verbally) tell her his customizations and then turned her back to him and continued to fumble around at the prep counter. He begins to tell her the customizations but instead of turning around and giving him eye contact she completely ignores him. He walks away without ordering anything. At this point I’m thinking I better not say anything to her because she might send that bad energy my way, but I had to interact with her anyway because I overheard her talking to the line cook about my online order. The cook said the online orders are not coming through on their end so he verbally told her my order but forgot to mention “no onions”. At this point I stepped in and tried to correct her by saying “…about the online order, can you…” but she rudely cut me off mid sentence and said “ I’m making it.” I then told her “ you know what, don’t make my oder I don’t want it, I want a refund. I don’t want any food prepared by someone with that attitude, it might make me sick.” I asked for the manager and she replied that they were on lunch. As I ask another worker for the manager Im pointed in the direction of the Manager walking out from the back. I approach the manager and calmly tell her my situation and she implies they cannot give me a refund on an online order. She dismisses me by sending me to Delta customer service which was to no help at all because they have nothing to do with the food service provided by the airport. I got both of their names and will be filing a formal complaint asap. Despicable customer service that should not be tolerated.
