California Kabob Kitchen Los Angeles Reviews
California Kabob Kitchen is hands down the best place I’ve had kebabs in downtown Los Angeles. I ordered the chicken shish and the vegetable kebab—both were absolutely fantastic. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly grilled, while the veggies were fresh and seasoned just right. The quality here really stands out compared to other spots, and the flavors feel authentic and satisfying. If you’re craving kebabs, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!
Food and service are both GREAT. Love the staff, they’re very efficient and nice. I’ve had take out and dine-in. Food is always very hot and tasty. Fore take-out they are incredible fast which is very convenient.
This spot is probably one of the best Mediterranean food restaurants I’ve been to. I ordered the salmon with extra salad, no pita, no bread and two skewers of chicken koobideh. The salmon was very tender and flavorful. The ground chicken kabobs were also very delicious and the salad with their house salad dressing was very tangy and matched well with the meats. Great customer service, two TV’s and a great spot overall. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.
Now bring back the garlic sauce!!! Place is amazing. Everytime I’m in Los Angeles it’s a must to stop at for me
Always love to find a small local family restaurant that delivers such a great combination of food, ambiance and service, this is the place. In an area where restraurants are hard to find, this is a true gem, and you've got to try their fresh homemade hummus, delicious!
Great Kabobs! My favorite dish here is the Lamb shank stew with basmati rice. $18.00 great price.
Wow! Everything about this place is great. The service great and the food was amazing. I came here for the first time today and I be coming back.
The food was really good, the meat is tasty and juicy. Be carefull the green pepper is really realy hot.

Delicious Persian food. The koubideh and chicken were both tasty and juicy.
Fast and friendly service! Food was delicious and tasted very fresh. I ordered the Boneless Chicken Kabob and the flavor was amazing! I was advised by a family member to add butter to the rice and it made it even more delicious. The star of the show for me was the hummus! The consistency was just right and it was packed with flavor! If I could, I’d give this restaurants 10 stars and I know it will not disappoint your taste buds! Enjoy!
Let me tell you, finding a lunch spot that pleases everyone in a work department is like finding a unicorn. But California Kabob Kitchen? They've managed to do it. It's become our go-to for birthday celebrations, and honestly, I'm just thrilled it's a short walk from the office. Talk about a lunchtime win! Now, let's get to the important stuff: the food. Oh. My. Goodness. The koobideh kabobs? Forget about it. I swear, I have a legitimate internal struggle every time I try to decide between the chicken and beef. They're both just that good. The chicken is tender and flavorful, and the beef is rich and melt-in-your-mouth amazing. So, what's a person to do? Get the combination, of course! Problem solved. (And my taste buds are forever grateful.) But here's where California Kabob Kitchen really shines: the rice. They don't just give you plain ol' rice; they give you a culinary adventure. They have these incredible flavored rices that just add a whole other dimension to the meal. My personal favorites? The lobia polo and the zereshk polo. Seriously, if you haven't tried them, you're missing out. The lobia polo is like a warm, comforting hug. The tomato sauce, the green beans, and the minced fillet mignon? It's a symphony of flavors that just work. And the zereshk polo? That's a party in your mouth! The tangy barberries and the fragrant saffron? It's like a burst of sunshine with every bite. Honestly, it's not just the food that makes California Kabob Kitchen special. It's the feeling you get when you eat there. It's like you're being transported to another place, a place where food is made with love and shared with joy. And a huge part of that feeling comes from the servers. They're incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure you have everything you need. They're genuinely welcoming, and their attentiveness enhances the whole dining experience. It's the kind of place where you leave feeling full, satisfied, and just plain happy. If you're in Downtown LA and looking for a taste of authentic Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Persian/Iranian cuisine, California Kabob Kitchen is a must-try. You'll thank me later. And you'll probably find yourself planning your next birthday celebration there too. Trust me.

This is a great place to grab lunch near my work. Thier restaurant is clean, food fresh and service is kind and quick. I enjoy thier lunch portions, since I don't always want to eat so much mid-day. Prices are fair.
Customer service was great. Food is good, will definitely go back.

Pretty standard kebob place. They have all that you would expect and prepared/presented well. Indoor seating only, nice and simple interior if not slightly bare. Eat in or take out. Lots of street parking. Worth a try if in the area.
The place is okay. Good selection of Persian cuisine. The kashk bedojmen was good. The lamb shank was cooked right and the flavor was there but it might have been cold and reheated. Also the pita bread was a bit soggy but hot. Maybe reheated. The rice was really good wether the zereshk or the one that comes with the lamb shank. The chicken was great. It’s a good neighborhood eat I guess.

The quality of food is very good. An interesting unusual issue has happened when I asked to substitute half of my rice with salad. While the price of rice and salad is exactly the same they did not let me to substitute half of the rice with salad, either I had to pick salad or rice!! I showed them pictures of almost 5 restaurants around this place including Mediterranean, Brazilian, and Mexican, where you can ask for less carb and substitute it with salad. They told me the owner does not allow this option. It is so crazy that they have a picture of half salad and half rice in their menu but they won’t let you order it😂

Umm I will never go back again!! My favorite food is Mediterranean/Persian so I know good food, I ask for Garlic Sauce and they gave me yellowish Mayonnaise (look at the picture) It was pure Trash & didn't have ANY garlic in it!! The Salad, just iceberg lettuce & carrots. The food was VERY drab, nothing special.

There's no parking, the food is expensive and bland. This is the first Mediterranean restaurant that doesn't offer garlic, salad and or humus included with your entre. Too expensive for the bland plate. I ordered chicken kebab plate again no garlic and no hummus. Bland and nasty
