Empanada Factory Los Angeles Reviews
No-fuss just takeout store front. We were glad to accidentally found this place while visiting the Dance Store next to it. Parking was easy on a Friday around noon. One can order from the machine outside. Standing outside, we can smell the wonderful baked goods. There are so many varieties of fillings that we had a difficult time picking just a few. We finally decided on: spicy chicken, prepperoni and cheese, guava, and apple. The empanadas were warm when got them. Crispy crust with plenty of tasty fillings inside. Really yummy and will have to go back to try other flavors!
I ordered the three empanadas combo with a salad. I had vegan eggplant, pumpkin, and veggie empanadas. They were delicious. I sat on a wooden area in front of the restaurant and watched traffic back up. No chairs or tables. I was chilling for a minute. Trash can at the corner.
It's o e of those hole in the walls you definitely don't want to miss. Visiting L.A. make this part of your experience. You won't regret it. For the vegans..they got you!
Very low key totally down to earth place, the empanadas well very good,
Great empanada flavors, and the lady at the window taking orders is so nice. The restaurant is strictly to go, but there is a bench under a nice tree that you can sit on while waiting for your order. Oh, the onion rings and garlic fries are definitely something to try!

Definitely going to have to stop by here again to try different options. I have the breakfast empanadas and it was delicious! Cannot recall what it was served with but the dip was phenomenal.
Found this place on accident. So happy i did! The variety of empanadas were great. They were warm when the boxed them for me. Everything is fresh made. I ordered over a dozen. I recommend the dozen for the savings. While I was there I had the spinach & egg. It was yummy! The gentleman who helped me was very nice & helpful. I don't live anywhere near this place but will definitely be coming back.
Met the owner my first time. Excellent food, quick service. I just have to figure out which one I got the other day that I loved so much. I usually get 3 and a drink. Under $20 they're about $5 each. I should probably switch to 2. They're quite filling. And the crust is delicious.
Wanted a quick, easy to hold while driving kinda dinner. This is a little hole in the wall place. But It has an order screen out front, super easy to use! Took a little longer than I'd hoped but it was worth the wait. It was delish!
I love this place, they are at the farmers market in Mar Vista on Sundays as well. Limited parking but so worth looking through the neighborhood. These empanadas are crispy flaky on the outside with a warm fully stuffed inside. I love the veggie one, although I'm not vegan it is seasoned to perfection. With that chimichurri sauce too? Omg ITS AMAZING. And you can order an 8oz to go as well. It's definitely the best chimichurri I have ever had. Inexpensive and so easy to order online or at the window. They have some small bench seating around.

Simple, no-fuss storefront with excellent selection of empanadas. Decided to try it out after hearing a lot of locals rave about this place. Was not disappointed. Pleasantly surprised by the onion flavored empanada too! Highly recommend checking out this place.

Quick service. Picture perfect empanadas. Pastry is crispy and salty and the fillings are flavorful. Impressive they’ve been around since 2003.
Take out only Baked Empanadas. It’s a bit smaller than “Empanada Place” (Fried empanadas) but cheaper. Not many choices in the late afternoon. (if you don’t mind waiting, they can cook frozen one).
The spinach and mushroom empanada was great. The beef empanada had tomato sauce in it and was the worst for me. I've really liked all their vegetarian empanadas.

So many variations of empanadas even some non-traditional ones! The beef and alfredo I felt were okay, but I loved the spinach and truffle empanadas! they also have a soy beef if you are vegetarian or vegan.
I picked up a few empanadas here — the classic beef, a chicken avocado, and the apple for dessert. The beef had a decent flavor, though the filling was a bit uneven at times, and the chicken avocado was pleasant but didn’t stand out. The apple empanada was sweet and cinnamon-y, but a little dry on the edges. The crust is flaky and crisp, which is nice, but some fillings felt a bit sparse compared with the price. Ordering is fast since it’s mainly takeout from a window, but that means there’s no real indoor dining vibe. There is a bench nearby and some space to stand, but no proper outdoor seating. Service was friendly enough, though it didn’t feel especially personal. Parking is metered on the street and can fill up during busier times. Kids could enjoy the smaller portions, but with the lack of seating it’s better for quick bites than sit-down meals. Waiting time was short, but flavor consistency and a few crowded moments kept this from being excellent.
Grab and go But there are some benches outside and two chairs Empanadas were yummy! Love the vegan aspect!!! Dairy free cheese! Delish chimichurri

I went out of my way to try this place since empanadas are a guilty pleasure of mine. There is a self order digital kiosk. Card only. As soon I see the menu prices and the lack of any product on display, I get a little concerned. But I’ve come too far and I’m too hungry to leave empty handed by that point. I make a small order. The man at the window call out my name. When he hands me the small, light box supposedly containing two empanadas, I instantly know I’ve been had. Yes, I really paid 5.25 pre-tax for a mini empanada with barely any filling in it. The food was barely warm and just average tasting. An underwhelming experience to say the least.

No good The best empanadas ( colombin empanadas) period.
Used to be an excellent choice for empanadas with thin crisp crust and great taste. Now all prices doubled and all crust has become machined, thick and much worse! Now i can say you have many better choices out there compared to this and for paying double too!
Tried three empanadas here: the beef, corn, and apple. The beef had good depth of flavor but felt a bit too heavy on the meat-to-crust ratio; the corn was light, sweet, and enjoyable; the apple was nicely baked and made a solid dessert choice. Service was friendly and the ordering system was efficient, but the staff seemed a little rushed when it got busier. The atmosphere is casual with a couple of benches outside, though it’s more takeout-focused than sit-down dining. There’s street parking which worked ok, but during peak times finding a spot was a bit of a hassle. For families with kids, the menu has variety, but indoor seating is very limited, so if you’re bringing little ones expect mostly outdoor or standing space. Waiting time was short for pickup, though the kitchen seemed to slow down when orders stacked up. A decent place for empanadas with nice flavors, just slightly uneven in execution.
