What wonderful people! The owner is so kind donating meals but not only do they taste delicious just like home cooked from a grandmother but the service is kind too. I will always recommend come here for Chinese food
Excellent food, the staff is lovely and wonderful, great find
Came here for the first time on a Thursday night right as they opened. We were the only sit down customers and the gentleman at the register waited on us hand and foot. We ordered the veggie egg rolls, calimari, orange chicken with white rice, and beef chow phun and it was all delicious. The orange chicken had a nice kick, the calamari wasn't too rubbery and I love the flavor the jalapeños added. He even gave us two complimentary teas- the mango mint which was to DIE for, and the black Sesame milk tea, which had a subtle and honestly kinda watery, but the aftertaste was really good. I could kinda tell this service was in hopes that we would leave a review, and he basically confirmed that by saying they were running a promotion where they hoped we would leave a review- however I started leaving this review before he said that lol. Anyways, great service and great food
Last night 2 of my colleagues and I went to try out the Fat Dragon. We ordered the signature Fat Dragon fried rice, Orange Chicken, Braised Tofu and Spicy Wontons. I also ordered the Honey Milk Tea. The food were delicious and you can see that the restaurant use fresh produce and poultry. Our Server, Andrea, was the highlight of our dinner. She’s truly a magnificent host. She gave us ideas on some of what to order and what to compliment the food with. Andrea is a delight who checked on us periodically to make sure we are comfortable and happy! We will definitely be back!
This was my go-to for board game nights, I feel like Chinese food is best shared with a bigger group. The mapo tofu is one of my faves, I love the little spicy peppers in it and the portions are huge! I want to eat in person one day because their tea list is impressive.
This is our new go-to Chinese takeout place. The chicken with spicy garlic sauce is perfect and the dragon fried rice.. I literally daydream about it. I have leftovers in the fridge right now and I cannot wait to have them for lunch tomorrow!
Some of the best actual Chinese food I’ve had in LA. The absolute best in silverlake. Really well done
Fat Dragon is fantastic!!! Great food. Wonderful, friendly service. They always accommodate my special requests. I rarely, if ever, order Chinese food elsewhere. Thank you team at Fat Dragon!!!

Omg! This place is such an gem!! I shared the Mushroom fries, veggie fried rice and the walnut shrimp! Everything was sooooo delicious. The walnut shrimp was one of the most scrumptious things I’ve ever consumed. 10/10 recommend

Very good food served here. Friendly servers, an food is served hit an fresh. They serve a wide variety of teas. Most of which you won't find in a market's shelves. Just a bit to the expensive side, but quality an portions justify this. Parking is a bit limited but worth the wait.
Very tasty food and large portions for the amount you pay. One issue though. I was paying at the restaurant, and wanted to round up the tip to an even number. I realized that the system only allows a 15% or an 18% tip. It has a section for Other amount to put in, but it will not allow you to do so.

Amazing orange chicken, or the like. However everything is quite pricey, and staff will judge you if you don't look like a hipster. Also they need people that actually want to work there, not people that think the job is beneath them as well as the clientele it attracts. The guy rice is subpar and not worth the price. I think i give it 4 stars because the orange chicken delivers!
The food is okay overall, nothing spectacular. I got fried rice and mixed veggies, The orange Chicken is dry, hard, and flavorless. I’m definitely sad about that. Hopefully that changes, for some other customer. I’ll visit again in a year to see if something changes.
They could add more flavor to their dishes. They were flat to me. Nice staff just a rather boring menu. Wish they offered Thai food instead... If you drive down to China town you will taste the difference immediately! It would be nice to taste the Chinese herbs and spices...

The food was ok, but I was charged door dash prices for a pick up order I placed on the phone and got myself. Their menu online says different prices. I got the orange chicken which should’ve been $16 and the dragon noodles were supposed to be $11. Yet I paid $38 for this meal. I specifically stopped using doordash because of the price increase on everything, so this was extra disappointing. Orange chicken and noodles shouldn’t be $40. If you want to eat here I suggest dining in or you get price gouged.
I just wasted 45 dollars' on wonton soup , chow fun , and fried rice . No flavor it's not was it was in 2018 . Go to zian in beverly hills.
I really wanted to give this place more stars because the staff was super friendly and when I came in the first time I loved their tea bar. However, they advertised gluten free food, but they don't know what that is or what that means. Both Elouise and I are gluten free because we have to be, not bc it's a fad, so Chinese food has been a big No since being diagnosed for me 10 years ago and my kid recently. I was a bit reluctant because on their menu nothing is automatically noted GF, which is a sign, because they are running to the BOH to tell them to make stuff GF vs it showing up on the ticket, but I was ok with that bc we were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived. Ordered 4 dishes, 2 of them were not gluten free and we tried both of them. My skin had started to itch so I wasn't surprised when they told us to stop eating. They offered us a full refund and to cook us 2 more dishes that were gluten free. I'm hoping that the chicken and mushroom dish was indeed gluten free. I should have quizzed them on the ingredients but I didn't. The next dish, Honey Walnut Chicken was definitely not gluten free as it was on wanton skins which are generally made with flour and water. I caught that so our special trip for Chinese in Silver Lake was a waste. I could have easily gambled in Alhambra and spent less time in traffic. I'm disappointed. We ended up home at 8:30pm with a frozen gluten free pizza. Could have done that much earlier...:(
Came here Saturday and did take out. The brown sugar milk tea was the best I’ve ever had, but that was it. Everything else I had was not good at all. I spent $90 on food and even left a tip without even trying the food. This was my first time here and it would’ve been my last but that milk tea is very good. The food was bland no flavor whatsoever, the calamari was small as can be and overly crunchy. It was like eating a bunch of crumbs. The orange chicken was just a no. I gave all my food away to my neighbor who literally eats anything and he didn’t even like it. I want my damn money back. The honey walnut shrimp was trash too.
Bad, bland, and kinda gross. Fried rice was lazy and boring, lacking good ingredients. Pork dumplings do NOT taste real and pretty disgusting. Green beans were decent. But what’s the point of eating out if I can cook better than this?
