Gracie's Pizza Los Angeles Reviews
Best savory empanadas in town! They’re big but not cheap. Most are more than $5 each. They’re packed full of food though! They are aesthetically pleasing - especially the spinach and cheese one. The spinach and cheese empanada is their best. It’s a masterpiece! It’s really flavorful. Great spinach taste! The ham and cheese empanada is also very good but a bit greasy. I’ve tried some of the other empanadas and they’re good too. The deli part of the restaurant has all kinds of Chilean goodies! Like wines! They have a deli and a restaurant. I haven’t been to the restaurant in a while but the food is good there too. Parking is a problem but they have a lot in the rear.
Rincón Chileno…delicious authentic Chilean dishes from salads to sandwiches and delicious empanadas, hummitas cazuelas or Beef stew and more…wines and sweet goodies. I had the Barros con queso sándwich, he had the cabbage salad and tomato and onion salad…oh did I mention hot out of the oven Pan Amasado which is like a biscuit so delicious and served with butter and Chilean pebre salsa. Right next to restaurant is the small store to get extra goodies to go empanadas and more. Seating inside only all the COVID guidelines followed si if you’re on Melrose in Los Angeles come try them out…you can purchase fully cooked empanadas to go or uncooked to bake at home and have it freshly hot out of oven in your casita❤️
Great place! The food was amazing! The lady (server) is son nice and welcoming! We tried 2 empanadas as appetizers PINO ASLO HAM AND CHEESE! Both great! Also got some pan amasado with pebre (salsa) so addictive! For drink a great read wine for $7 and for main we got the Humita kinda corn tamale with side salad and also the CARNE MECHADA with homemade mash potatoes!!! Trust me it won't disappoints!
Authentic Chilean place! The humitas were really good and extremely filling. I ate them in Chile a couple years back and couldn’t believe they had them here. Husband says this place is very authentic, although not everything is Chilean. They kind of have a mix of all South American fare, including inka kola and some wines. The bread is really good! We bought a bunch, froze em and made breakfast with it. The empanadas were really good too, especially the spinach and cheese. Not a normal Chilean flavor as I’ve learned but the minced meat one I got for my parents is authentic.
My all time favorite Chilean restaurant in LA. I love their food, I've been coming here all my life since I first moved to LA from Santiago, Chile as a teenager. Great food.
First time trying this place and it was delicious 😋 this is one of los angeles' hidden gems. Owner was very courteous and explained the menu to us. I got a spinach and cheese empanada and my main dish was charquican. Strange name but it was delicious definitely coming back with family and friends
Mouth watering flakyness in the butteybread Explosion of goodness in flavor 😋 Everything was fuego 🔥 Done right with simple ingredients by hand. Spinach 🥬 & cheese 🧀 Empanada my personal favorite my children loved the ham & cheese but all of the Empanadas got a 10/10. 👍
Being Chilean myself I can attest that the food here is 100% authentic. This is not a fancy place, but the food more than compensates for that. Is priced very well too. There are few tables but service is always very friendly. I don't live in LA, yet I made a point to visit this restaurant every time I travel there.
It's had been a few years since i had some delicious Empanadas Chilenas I was around the area and decided to stop by and after all these years they hit the spot had the beef and chicken with their green salsa it's a must try
Delicious food and very friendly staff!! I definitely recommend it
This is a family business. This is 1 of the few Chilean restaurants in Southern California. The owner if a very friendly person.
Quaint little place. Delicious food! Whenever I'm in town it's my go to.
This place was soooo good. It can be tricky to find if your not coming in off university ave so that’s probably the best way to find it. The tamales are fantastic as are the chiliquilles.the deserts were just okay but all the other food was great.
Stopped by this restaurant on a recommendation. The pineapple juice was delicious. Had the Tilapia and rice with home made sauces. I wished I would've gotten the empanadas. Perhaps another time.
No matter if you are chilean or not. This is worth giving a try for the most traditional chilean food. Try the sopaipillas, empanadas (very good) and pastel de choclo. Really took me all the way back home. And don't forget to say "Hola" to the tables around you!! Everybody will enjoy talking to you in "chileno" and drag you to visit the country.
Rincón Chileno Delicatessen. Empanadas are really good. Spinach empanadas are a must try. The prices vary from $3-5 per empanada. The place is mostly for a quick pick up, there are only two tables available. The staff is very helpful and friendly. There is free parking behind the actual restaurant which is next to the Delicatessen (enter through Heliotrope St).
I tried the beef empanada, a spinach with cheese empanada, an humita and an alfajor. Everything was good, but I wasn’t impressed with the empanadas. The restaurant was not owned by a Chilean. Pick up only.
Big empanas, low quality! I’m from SouthAmerica and been craving empanas so I decided to give this one a try… The texture of the empanadas was not flaky and it tasted more like bread. The cheese lacked quality and I believe it was just mozzarella cheese Now, I tried the Flan with Manjar as well… it was the worst flan I’ve ever tried in my whole life. It lacked presentation, color and taste! And now I’m praying I don’t get food poisoning because I could feel something was off about this “flan” Never going again. Rather getting some Goya empanadas from the freezer and make my own! ):
Absolutely disgusting, I’ve been eating here since I was a kid and I’ve never seen this once but this is insane.
Extremely poor food quality, dirty restaurant, inefficient service and no customers in a very poor run restaurant that does not represent the Chilean cuisine and its good restaurant industry. In addition, it is definitely over price in a rundown LA area.
